Karthin grinned. Flattery was one thing the king enjoyed very much. He wasn't sure if that was a coincidence or if she could sense that kind of aura from the man. The leader smiled widely. "So tell me Angela. Why didn't you go to the Elf representative with your offer? Surely you're aware that gaining the alliance you wish would be much easier through him." He questioned. He was quite intrigued by this Valkyrie. Forging an alliance between the two races would definitely grant him a more favorable role in the Elvish council. He couldn't get his mind off the possibilities this presented him. Karthin saw the gears in his mind turning, and usually that meant harder missions for him, and more dangerous explorations for the troupe, but somehow he thought this was the one instance where good things may come from this man's schemes.

The leader smiled wider. "I'll send word via my subordinate after I talk to the Elven royal family. It should take us a week to get back to the capital, and once there it shouldn't take long to convince the king." He explained to Angela. They were both playing into each others hands at this point, and Karthin doubted that either of them realized it. Karthin shook his head before deciding to speak up. "When shall we depart boss?" He asked already knowing the answer, but deciding to get the official order before taking action. After he was given the bug out order the whole camp was in chaos trying to get everything broken down and packed away as quickly as possible.

Karthin nodded. "I could point you in the direction of a family I know here in town. They are good people and have helped me out a lot if you want me to." He told her. He remember the times he had to hide out in that big house when things took a turn for the worst. "They're a family of Lizard folk, but they will treat you like family if they know I sent you." He told her with a smile. He folded his hands behind his head and looked up into the sky. "If you don't want that just promise you'll keep your guard up okay?" He asked softly.

Karthin nodded to himself. "Until we meet again Angela." He said to the space she just occupied. He rushed around trying to keep himself busy. Something in his gut made him feel like something was off. Like he had forgotten to do something. He tried to shrug it off. If he forgot about it than it must have been something minor. He bounced around the camp helping everybody take stuff down or to help finish packing up. At sundown he found himself in the leader's tent. They had a small meeting among an even smaller circle of people. The plan was simple we stay on the move until the next night then we stop to rest until morning, after that we keep traveling til nightfall and rest until the morning after until we reach the Capital Verdent Grove. It seemed simple enough to Karthin, but the feeling in his gut just didn't fade away. It hit him just then that by now the vampires must realize that Angela was gone, but there's no way they knew the troupe had any involvement in that. He shook his head and tried to push it into the back of his mind. He just hoped that they didn't find her again.

Karthin and the troupe arrived at the capital exactly one week after they departed the council headquarters. Their leader Grafton took Karthin to the palace in the middle of town to meet with the queen. "My grace I have lovely news to share with you on this day." Grafton told her. "One week ago my prodigious performer here happened across a damsel in distress. Vampires had her captured and were torturing her mi'lady, but fret not for this tale has a very miraculous ending. The damsel was non other than the representative of the Valkyrie people, and for his bravery, kindness, and above all strength of character this Valkyrie has decided to give me the honor of extending her offer of alliance before she arrives with our own representative." He explained dramatically. Karthin shook his head with a smile on his face. "Is this true Karthin? Did you rescue a Valkyrie, and gain us an alliance?" She asked him in slight disbelief. Karthin sighed. "Grafton here speaks the truth your highness.
It was my fault she got caught up in that plot by the vampires to begin with, so I had no choice but to save her from them." He told her.

"It seems that the representative is here now with the Valkyrie.
I would like to hear her side of the story. Guards show them in." The queen mused to herself mostly and then ordered her guards. Karthin looked back at the doors waiting for them to open. 'They got here rather quickly for leaving the day after us. I honestly didn't expect them to get here until tomorrow at the earliest.' He thought to himself. He knew that the representatives had certain special treatments, but to make it this far so quickly they must have had to rush here.

Karthin bowed. "Hello brother." He reluctantly greeted the representative. He glared at the elf for a few seconds before turning towards the queen. "So the story Grafton told me does hold some truth to it.
Young Valkyrie please enlighten me as to the whole story about your woes at the council headquarters. I'm very excited to know how one of my....outcasts, sorry Karthin dear, ended up saving such a high profile person such as yourself." The queen said leaning forward slightly. "It's quite alright mi'lady. I've known what my status was destined to be since I was young." He told her respectfully. He kept his back to his brother as Angela started telling her tale.

The queen looked at her thoughtfully. She stood from her throne and walked over to Angela. She hugged her. "While we are allied you will not have to worry about the vampires getting you again." She told Angela. "It would be our honor to grant the Valkyrie our aid and alliance. I look forward to working with your people." She finished. She walked back to her throne. "Let it be known on this day that we elves are now and forever allied with the Valkyrie." She decreed in a loud authoritative voice. Karthin smiled widely. He couldn't wait for the time off due to this. Plus he knew that the queen would need to name an ambassador for the Valkyrie, and if he was honest with himself he really wanted the position of ambassador.
