                                                  out. of. commission.

XXXThere was a noise, a disturbance. In fact, there were several. It was something that Maria herself would have paid no mind to initially. That was if there hadn't been a loud thud against their door. Prism's caution lights would blare immediately at the sound, a warning that someone was trying to infiltrate. "Lady Maria, what would you like me to do? It appears that you were well-intended by locking. Designated medical staff would knock before attempting entry." Despite the years of service that Prism had provided for Maria, it was only in recent months that it learned the true dangers she was wary of. A machine that thought it knew everything there was to its master, only to learn that it hadn't scratched the surface. It was the night of the ball that Prism began to learn the truth by catching snippets of their touching moment. A tale of a woman who was merely a husk of a human that stole the lives of all those close to these women. Such a monster that existed among humans, no less. Completely undetected, unknown, except for the survivors. It was in this discovery that Prism truly began to understand the attitude that Kendall maintained, as well as the caution the two took.

Maria would remain quiet, contemplating her next action. It wasn't Eteria, that was for certain. The devil was far too smart to make such a disturbance. If she had come to take Kenna while in dispose of, she would've done so under the cover of another. Under the veil of night when security was lacking, when those monsters could slip in. Even that was farfetched. It seemed that the woman refrained from taking to academy grounds for some reason. Why was that? Was she scared? . . . No, that was impossible. A creature like her couldn't comprehend fear, only spread it. Then. . . Was it to keep attention from herself? Or. . . Was it the daughter that walked these walls? The same winged Lioncourt that slipped into the room yesterday, expressing only concern for the lioness. Whatever her reasoning was, she was certain that whoever was at the door couldn't have been Eteria. In Maria's prolonged silence, Prism would begin to pull away. "If you're having difficulty processing the situation, then I will address our guest. Send them on their wa--- No? You disagree, Lady Maria?" In the midst of the static words, Maria's free hand would close tightly. A simple command with her gloves that interrupted the droid's thought process, an objection. Only seconds later, an iridescent glow would shimmer on her body as her soul slipped from her shell. 'I got it, just... I don't know, defrag your hard drive or something.' Dismissing the robot in an instant, the woman's spectral form would hover lighter than air towards the door.

First, a splash of color in just the right light would appear to the left of the door. It was Maria's face phasing through, getting a glimpse at what lied on the other side. A familiar face, probably one of the only ones she could stand to see. . . That was, unless he was here to start something. Her patience was wearing awfully thin with the unfortunate turn of events. That meant, of course, her normal humor ran terribly dry. Still, the sight of what she knew as a friendly face was almost a relief. The first sign of reassurance she felt since Kenna took her fall. She wondered, as well, if he knew that her team had disbanded once again. The finest trace of a smirk curled along her ghostly lips before her face vanished into the surface. Then, a veil of color would began to shift and turn on the surface of the door. It was as if the door was coated in a bubble, the light refracting just right to make colors visible. There was a click. Then, the door would open just enough for the wolf to slip in. "I really doubt they were okay with you coming all this way, so... Come on, make it quick, snuffles." Her disembodied voice would echo softly. It seemed that her humor wasn't entirely dried up. That, mixed with common knowledge of Feralis and Kenna's relationship. There was no way in their right mind that the medical staff would've knowingly and willingly let Feralis come all this way to see the cat. Still, Maria would let him slip in. One thing she had in her favor was that Prism was present. It seemed that both Feralis and Kenna hated the machine more than even each other at times, so any lash out would likely fall on Prism instead.

Assuming Feralis entered the room, the door would promptly shut behind him with a second click. Locked again, Maria's spectral form would emerge from the wood's surface to float overhead Feralis. "So... How'd you do it? Tell me closer to Kenna, I bet she'd get a kick out of it." Maria's voice was soft, but urging him to do so. Unless using her semblance it was just far too exhausting to talk. So, maybe hearing a voice would do something to her sleeping form. Then again, hearing Feralis' voice might snap her right back like smelling salts and they'd have another bloodbath on their hands. . . . Not that it would be any worse than it was now. In the room, Feralis would see a few things. Maria's own sleeping form, lopsided in her chair with her hand in Kenna's. Maria's body still had a few bandages, while freshly burned marks tarnished her cheeks. Even her hair had been singed in the mess, leaving the right shorter than the left. Next to her, of course, was Prism. The robot had bright red indications on its skull, insinuating that Feralis was still a threat. "Lady Maria, do you really believe that letting him in was a good idea? You told me yourself that these two have it out for one another. I really don't believe having such a provoking individual here is your best idea, given the circumstances." Following a series of what sounded like digital static, there was a moment of silence. Prism wasn't necessarily wrong in expressing its thoughts. In fact, the robot wasn't that far off either. Given how they act around one another, it was justified in those thoughts. That being said, it wasn't a strong concern of Maria's.

XXXOh, now that was gold! Fighting back a s**t eating grin, the woman couldn't help but snigger towards the nurse. Her? Need help with a cut? Why would she patch up such a sweet morning snack? "No worries here, Ms. Nya. I'm the last person you need to patch up. I'll be in tip-top shape in just a second~" Now what could she possibly mean by that? Closing her turquoise hues, she'd smile brightly towards the nurse. Her teeth really were something else. Like polished razors made from ivory, a glint of light would sheen off such a smile. However, the second the door clicked shut, her smile dropped. She'd lower her head to bleeding upper forearm, running her tongue along the blood to lick it 'clean.' Who needed medical attention when she could see to it herself? The taste of iron spreading across her tongue, causing her to salivate.

A voice? Oh right, Danae, her precious 'little sister'. They were talking about something before they were so rudely interrupted. Turquoise slits would once again shimmer under the overhanging light, Danae coming into focus. Who knew such a state of contentment could be so quickly sullied by a few words. The bullies, the scum of the earth that dared to touch a feather on her Adam's and sister's heads. "Any of them here now? I swear, I'll kill'em. 'Specially if they even LOOK at Adam wrong. Shoulda, coulda, woulda." She would hiss through her teeth, clearly disgruntled at their mention. Some no-good punks thought they could do what they wanted, that they were kings. At least, until she came along. That was her job, you know? There was only room for one ruthless queen at Signal, and that was her. They tasted something awful, too. A pattern that Eve picked up fairly quick. Whenever someone wronged Asger or his sister, she'd raise hell and take a bite. Each bite was bitter and sour, always making her stomach upset. It was worth it, though. To put them in their place. She'd move to sit on the edge of Asger's mattress, her sour mood would melt at the mention of Danae's own 'Adam.' "Our little floof all grown up, finding her own Adam... Oh I'm so proud~ How does he taste?" A question she couldn't help but ask. After all, Asger tasted better than all the rest. Her true forbidden fruit, but it was only one of the many things that led her to claim him as her own.

Had Eve expected the conversation to turn so dark? Not in the slightest. Was she phased by it? Once more, not in the slightest. As she continued to scoot herself closer and closer to Asger, her glossy orbs stared lazily towards Danae. The poor girl was getting stressed and shaken as she told her tale. All that her and her Adam had missed since their accident. Time did not stand still for these two, that was certain. Eve continued to sit there, her head bobbing back and forth as she kicked her feet. Listening attentively, though her hands were occupied. One hand clutching Asger's, the other continued to twirl the dagger between her finger tips. After all, idle hands were the devil's work. "Must'a left a real sour taste in your mouth to make precious little Danae swear to high heaven." She'd note, a smirk crossing her lips. This was where things would begin to fall apart, the differing morals between the two. Eve didn't care about the teammates she lost, nor the sob story with it. That was clear with the smirk that tugged at her lips. "Deep breath. Watch your leg too, dearie. Normies like you two can't let the adrenaline get ya, as wonderful as it feels. Strain becomes permanent." Whether it was the pain in her breath or the way she struggled to stand, it was clear to Eve that Danae was riding out her hate, her spite. The sense of loathing and anger numbing the signals her body screamed for her to relax.

"Cold blooded. Bet if your bullies heard you now, they'd crap themselves and head for the hills." She would snicker. Rolling her eyes from Danae, they'd focus on the dagger between her finger tips. Leaning back, she'd raise the hilt of the dagger up to her nose, balancing it straight up with fixated eyes. "Kill'em all, I say. They deserve it. Every. Last. One. First they take my Adam away from me, now they upset my sister." All that mattered to her was Asger. But, if Danae was upset, then that meant Asger would get upset. She couldn't just off the ball of feathers either, or else Asger would never speak to her again. So, the next best thing was to embrace her 'sister' with open arms. Metaphorically, anyways. Unless the sweet little owl needed a hug from the big bad Evie? All this talk of the tribe was getting her blood pumping, but also made her reminiscence. A sigh escaped her lips as she tilted her head, letting the dagger fall to her palm once again before sitting up. "Lot went on between all of us. Bet Adam didn't tell you what happened, mm? Not that he'd really know. Sweet thing, saved me when he should've ran. Got knocked out cold in the process, so... I saved him, sorta. We'll save that for when he wakes up." She'd then shrug off her words, her turquoise gaze looking over him. Her sweet and handsome bird boy, how desperately she longed to hear his voice again. Right now, though, she could only hear his breathing.

Letting go of his hand, her fingers would delicately dance across his chest. She still couldn't believe she found him, after all this time. "I tracked him, them. Searched high and low across Remnant. When I finally found them, boy I thought I was ready. . . . But I wasn't. I didn't think they could hurt me more than those grimm did until they told me they killed him. Felt like my entire world crumbled around me. Barely even felt my bones shattered when they shot me, too." Her fingers came to a stop. Her breathing had gotten heavy and she didn't even realise. Eve, the merciless queen of Signal, had found herself heart broken when she thought Asger was gone. Suddenly, she'd clench her fist as her jaw snapped shut, gritting her teeth. "They should've aimed for the head and told me after, that was their mistake." There it was again, the red glint amidst pools of turquoise. A gaze that for many meant death was eminent, that they should run. With just a blink, it was gone. Instead, those same orbs looked down at Asger once again, her hand resting against his chest. "Might've killed them all if I didn't catch wind of him being here. I'd at least have died trying. I should have, but . . . I had to see him. I had to make sure he was still alive. . ." That's what it was all for, right? To find Asger, to rescue him and make sure he lived another day. She couldn't pussyfoot around some tribal cuck camp when he could've been in danger somewhere else!

Following a moment of silence, Eve's gaze would wander to meet Danae's once gain. The owl was a lot different now, wasn't she? Still small, but wasn't going to settle for anything. She had to wonder if she picked up some of these traits from her own ruthless cuthroat attitude. At least, in protecting the one thing she cared about. She was a fan. "Once I'm certain he's better, I'm going straight back to finish the job. Would my most dearest sister like to come?"

XXXToo bad for Ms. Black that the morning had been a fiasco, apparently. He caught the look in her eyes, one that clearly voiced she was unamused with what had happened apparently. He would've stayed to chat a bit more but there was too much shuffle in his steps. Quick in to stay for the day, as he had always been. Maybe it was because she was a practitioner here. That the presence of doctor's themselves were what made him unsettled and raring to go. But she seemed nice enough, at least, so that couldn't have been it. The boy had even enjoyed the occasional chat with her from time to time. That being said, the chance to converse came up once more only moments later. Just as he slid from the room with significantly less on his person than before, he'd meet the eyes of a familiar nurse. "Oh hey. Fancy seeing you again, Ms. Black. Come here often~?" A stupid question intended as a pun that many would see as a pickup line. With it, the boy couldn't help but do the one two combo of shooting her a SECOND finger gun. This time, with a wink. The action dissolved to a chuckle as he shifted his bag, listening to her words before glancing towards the door once more. He was surprised, frankly, as he never once anticipated a thank you from anyone. "Nox, right? Taller than Cali, smaller than Eli? Eyes like polished garnet? Unless that's Yenna . . . No, Yenna's a short stack. Nox seems like a sweet gal, both of you are. No need, though. Just doin' my part, ya know?" He'd say with a smile, his tone rather humble. Umber orbs would look back to the room as he nodded to himself. "Might be hard to understand, but I ... Really feel for them. I get what their going through, and... Well, Cali's got a lot on that mind of hers. And Eli... It hurts to see him like that. Those two... They've managed to nab a piece of me. Or did I nab a piece of them?" This all made sense to Felix in some odd way. For others though, it was highly doubtful. He had Cali's memories, so he knew and understood her pain unlike any other . . . Except for maybe Elias. That boy, bless his soul, really is too good for this world. Shaking off the thought, he'd offer the nurse a wave. "Best be off myself, got a date with sleeping beauty. Oi, if you hear from Nox, ask her if she's got the details about that spa day. After all this, they'll really need a chance to unwind." Once again, Felix proved he knew far more than he should. With that, he was off.

Felix only just managed to get settled in his chair just long enough for Molly to scurry towards him. Earthen tones would focus on Charlotte's own movement as he noticed her tail shift and stir. It would raise and arch, pointing the stringer down toward's Zylah's chest and cause Felix's eyes to widen. The sight made his heart skip a beat, the boy found himself instantly on his feet. As the tail tip hovered there, shaking, as if fighting something. But what? Whatever it was, Felix was on edge. When did he find himself on his feet? When did the boy have his hand outstretched, fingers positioned ready to fire in a snap? His weapon was active, middle finger pressed against his thumb. What was this painful sensation gripping his chest, churning his stomach? A deep fear and worry unfolding as the stringer hovered over her. He was afraid for her, he wanted to protect her. This girl had been here time and time again, she was even on her team. So... What the hell was Charlotte thinking? 'She's not striking... Is she even awake? I'll give her five... four... three...' In his mental countdown his eyes watched her carefully. Not just the tip, but the arch of the stringer itself. It was trembling, but the arch itself wasn't moving. If something happen, he'd catch it. His reaction would be in a literal snap, ready to shoot the tail away from Zylah before it could get messy. . . . Could he really manage that, though? Would he be fast enough? He held his breath and keep his gun high. He should just act now, eliminate the risk. By the time he got to two, however, the tail began recoiling back away from Zylah. Umber orbs remained narrow, watching as it lowered to the same protective position... What was she saying? A mumble he could barely hear. Refuse.. Order.. Kill... What was going on in this scorpion's mind? Was it really safe to leave it be? Felix had his own difficulties, his demons, as did his sister. So was he really one to judge? . . . Well, sort of. Everything had its trigger, both Felix and Ora's being their emotions. What could have been hers, in her sleep no less?

The tension never quite died after that, even as the tail moved away from Zylah. That was enough, however, for Felix to lower his fingergun. He couldn't recall the last time he felt so tense, that he felt the urge to pull it on something that wasn't a grimm or a joke. He'd look down at his lowered hand, clutching his fist. Was it really okay to leave it like this? That's when she finally looked up and over, their eyes connecting. She looked confused, almost bewildered. "Uh... Mornin' to ya?" He'd cough, doing his best to muster a smile for her. She knew who he was, right? They saw each other at the dance, they went on a mission together. They've encountered each other time and time again. ... Wait, what the hell did she say? He'd blink, trying to piece the boched words she spoke together. He didn't know any other languages, just english. Everything else was absolute gibberish, even as she picked up her tone... He just couldn't follow. Shaking his head, he'd laugh lightly as he stepped back to grab his chair. "Sorry Char, I don't follow. Should I grab a nurse? A translator? I bet Prism's in the other room, that thing would do just fine." As much as he joked, he was a little confused. Still... Trying to push back what he walked into, it might've been the best way to cope. Give her a smile, make a pun. It all came naturally, anyways.

There was a brief silence, Charlotte seeming to grip her bearings. At least... Some of them. She could speak english now, at least. Did she really not recognize him? What, was she borrowing his amnesiac trope? "Who? Magician Felix, assistant Zylah, and Charlotte. Oh, can't forget Molly. What? Visiting, bringing snacks. Why? I'm worried sick too, ya know? What am I without my half-pint hero?" He'd say with an oddly somber snicker. Yet, none of it seemed to ring a bell. Her body would twist, her tail taking the mantle of defense as if she was protecting Zylah from her greatest enemy. . . . Did she see him point his finger at them? He dropped it right quick before she looked up, so that couldn't have been it. His cheeks held a somber smile for support, though her words tugged at his heart strings. He wondered the same thing, honestly. Why had Zylah been the one to fall? It didn't seem very biased, either, as a number of students were claimed. Yet... Oddly enough, all of them held some sort of significance to others. Maybe there was a reason for it all. Sighing softly, the boy kept his smile as he pulled his chair towards the bed, opposite side of Charlotte. Molly of course, followed. Once he was bedside and seated, the feline would jump onto the bed once more, cautiously stepping past the tail in order to return to Zylah. "Been wonderin' that too. Hard watching her lay there, ain't it? But.. Ya know, I bet she can hear us. Keep her company and keep on talking, I doubt she'd want it any other way. Here." He'd pause, reaching into his bag to pull out an assortment of treats as well as a small rag. A handkerchief. "Got somethin' comin' from your eyes, Char. Curious. You've been eating, right? I brought some snacks, just in case." He continued, placing a few sweet treats onto the bed along side the rag. Why was it all sweet? Well, he knew that when Zylah woke up she'd probably want to satisfy that insatiable sweet tooth of hers. ... So, he's just been keeping prepared. "So, not sleepin' too soundly, huh?"

Charlotte Aoyama

[ P O S T ]

Charlotte's eyes drifted to the floor as she now could process everything. During her time speaking the foreign language she couldn't even identify what felix was saying, now she could and everything quickly played back in her head before she started to mumble. ”Sorry.. Also mollys a cat.. Her attention fully drifted back to zylah. Her tail now recoiling back to her own spine protectively. Just missing the cat on its return stroke. Charlottes eyes themselves lacked any ‘spark’ one would normally associate with being alive. Her right hand moved over her heart. A slight wince forming onto her lips, the muscles tensed ever so slightly before she managed to squirrel the pain away. ”It should.. Of been me.. Lest.. zylah would of been happy..

Charlotte flickered her eyes shut. She wanted to scream. Murder. Distract herself from this pain. Yet she knew it wouldn't help at all. Part of her wanted to run away. Another part wanted to relove felix. He had stolen her right? They had met briefly then suddenly they were always together. Always talking. Even Aaron seemed to vanish a lot and god forbid lunia was just nearly always gone with Jazz. And now, Aaron was in his own coma thing, Zylah was in one. Lunia was organising something with someone when not busy with Jazz. Charlotte was alone again. Her anchors destroyed, like a ship in a storm. As everyone wanted… Needed her to be strong. How was she supposed to do that when even she herself didn't know what strength was anymore. Everyone else seemed stronger than her, yet charlotte felt like she was always the one fighting her battles alone.

Banishing that thought she flickered her red hued eyes open and looked at felix. She didn't believe him that zylah could hear them. Jazz had not acted like he could hear when he was down like this. Why would this be different? It shouldn't be different. Jazz returned, What if zylah didn't? What would they do then? Would felix forget and move on? Would charlotte? COULD charlotte? Why did her chest hurt so much at the moment. All these thoughts and a couple more flashed through her brain only being interrupted by movement into a bag. Her tail instinctively moved to ready a strike. Almost as if she was expecting a weapon out of the bag though it never came. So slowly the tail again recoiled back to her spine.

Softly charlotte shook her head. Even if she still had a few tears falling down her features. ”I am fine. I dont require a eye cover.. I have a mouth one already…” Though she answered part she avoided the been eating part. Mostly because her stomach growling answered it for her. Not that she wanted anything, let alone physically felt hungry. ”Why do you ask. On my sleep. I sleep… Fine.” Even with her saying that her eyes drifted to zylah. Charlotte’s features once again turned looking afraid. ”No one would of noticed me.. Why did it have to be you…”

Her eyes snapped up to molly before she tried offering her a smile. Though she found no honest one… Not that it could be seen behind her mask but she tried! Mostly out of some twisted motion of duty to try and keep a strong face, years in the labs taught her better to look strong to keep people away. Than to lean on them and to later have to kill them. Yet then why did losing zylah hurt so much. Above all the question remained in her head

Why did it hurt?

Danaë would look at Eve. She didn't know the status of the bullies, other than the man that decided to touch her without permission on their first day. Thinking about it, it was the first time she had been out without Narx, and even then, no one assisted her on her way here. "I don't know, they have been staying away if they are here." Her boyfriend was intimidating in stature, but in reality, he was the squishiest person. Then she was asked how he tasted. She had never tasted the man. That would have been weird, but then again, she was still trying to shift through so many different perspectives of that day.

"I've never tasted him. He is older than me, by 4 years. I'm trying to play it cool, and he seems fine with moving slowly." She wasn't a big person on physical touching, so them being able to cuddle every night was a huge step for her, one that she enjoyed every moment of. "I bet I can get him to come if I mention food, but right now, he's doing the extra credit with Someone named Sky. She would have to hear about it from him later.

She was told that she needed to calm down, and watch for her leg. She didn't care about that, however, her left hand started to tingle. She hated this feeling. Narx's healing was so potent, but it had issues with underlying, permanent aliments. "I'll have you know, my Narx's semblance is healing. I don't have to have a broken leg, I have one because I'm not learning from my injuries." It was true, she kept throwing herself into dangerous situations, expecting to not be injured, by doing the same stupid stunts.

She listened to what Eve had to say. She wanted to go after the tribe, however, she knew that she couldn't. She was in charge of a team with 3 humans on it. Narx would understand, but she doubted Chase would. Hell, she hadn't even met Lance to know if he was an Ally of the Faunus. "Eve, as much as I want to go and kill them all, I'm responsible for a team." She then would chuckle. "This Owlet is in charge of 3 humans, if only my bullies could see me now." She then noticed that Eve was still twirling the dagger in her hand. "Why don't you look at the design of that throwing dagger?" She wanted her to notice that there was a feather design. She had never forgotten them. She didn't know where to look, as the mission details had never been given to her.

                                                  out. of. communism.

XXXNo bullies at the school? Good riddance! Albeit disappointing that she couldn't beat someone into submission, Papa would've had a lot of paperwork on his hands if Eve had gutted a crowd of students on her first day. "Knew they were good for nothin'! Signal weaseled out the weak, but I do wonder what fresh meat awaits me here..." To think she would have all sorts of new faces to meet. New specimens to taste, new people to scare. The thought left her thrilled, for sure. Students at Beacon were meant to be a cut above the rest, but how would they feel when they got cut for the hell of it? Humming at the thought, she'd grin widely. Apparently she narrowly met the age requirement, just a sliver from the cutoff date. How fortunate she was, or else she might've had to pose as a teach or something. Being a student was hard enough as it is! Though, if it came to homework or studying, failure was eminent. Unless of course she had her wonderful Adam to help her along the way with that wonderful bird brain of his.

What was the point of having an Adam if you couldn't get a taste of him? How did the poor birb know he was any good? Had the owl even marked her man yet? That's what those scars along Asger's arms were, Eve's claim of him. "Kek, 4 years older?" She asked with a smug smirk. Age was a silly thing, wasn't it? This boy, Narx, was four years older than her. Eve was three years older than Asger. It was odd how the world work, but amusing all the same. There was just something about these birbs that couldn't stay away from an age gap. Though, in Eve's defense, she didn't necessarily know her age until Papa told her about it. For years she had no such a thing existed and to this day still acts the part. Of all of them, Eve was surely the most immature of the bunch. "Guess this Narx and I are just a bunch of cradle snatchers, keke. You bundle of feathers are just too darn adorable~" Perhaps Eve was using selective hearing, as she was already missing details in Danae's words. Moving slow, come with food, healing semblance, and her being a reckless mess. It took the pinkette a moment to even piece it all together, but a common theme was arising. This Narx and herself seemed to have a couple similarities, though she highly doubted he acted the part she did. "Age gap, summoned with food, healing. Are you sure you're just not dating me, little floof? I'm flattered, sweetie, but I've already got myself an Adam" She mused, finding the similarities incredibly amusing. Maybe Danae was just following in her brother's footsteps?

To think for a moment that she thought her and her 'sister' were about to plan a bonding adventure. The slaughtering of a tribe that did them wrong in every way possible. A thought that got Eve's blood pumping, knowing that with the two of them they could take out every last one of the meatbags. She didn't once think that Danae would be held back by responsibility, something that Eve couldn't fathom. Why did Danae find it so funny? "A team? What's that got to do with anything? Screw'em, I say. We've got more important things to do... They took my Adam, they need to pay." Any semblance of a smile Eve had vanished in an instant. Why was Danae holding herself back? It was clear that she loathed the tribe just as much as she did, why not act? Why did the others matter so much? Scoffing, she'd feel her nails dig into her palm in irritation. "I'll do it myself, then. I'll bring you back a head as a souvenir." Her tone held a sense of passive aggression. If it had been anyone else, it might've dissolved to a fit of yelling and shouting. It was only because this was Danae she was talking to and Asger rested beside them. She found it hard to stay mad whenever her eyes fell upon his sleeping form. That of course didn't mean she wasn't annoyed. In fact, she rolled her eyes at the mention of the dagger. "Danae, I know a dagger when I see a dagger, come on--- .. Oooh, this is pretty!" Turquoise hues immediately lit up at the sight of the feather. How had she not noticed it before? Curious, she'd bring the tip of the blade close to her face, turning it over several times before looking at Danae again. She was beaming. "These look so much cooler than mine! Papa designed mine, but he was all "We need to think about its efficiency" and "Trust me, dear Eve, cosmetics will only get in the way of functionality" . . . He's so booooring! How many of these do you have? I bet they blend right in!" Once again, the flip of a switch. From annoyed to a childlike excitement, Eve was suddenly Danae's best friend again. She continued to turn the knife over before tossing it up and catching it once more. Papa was someone that Eve referred to often, something that Danae might've even remembered from their days at Signal. Oh papa told me I shouldn't do this. Papa's talked about that before! Asger is so much like Papa. The question was, had she ever even elaborated on who exactly he was? A father figure, clearly, but there always seemed to be something more about who he was.

XXXThe horned boy would let out a chuckle, a smile tugging his lips as he lifted his hand to stroke Molly as she passed by. "Your point? That doesn't mean she isn't here." With the tail leaving its position, Molly would seize the opportunity to curl up on Zylah's chest. It was warm and she could feel her heart beating. A sensation she would return by purring softly against her in contentment. It was a sight that kept a smile on Felix's lips, though it would be so much better if Zylah could return Molly's gesture. It had only been two days, but for him it felt like so much longer. Was it really just the other day that he saw that playful smile on her lips before getting booped on the nose? Before she'd straddle his horns and one of them would lead the other off in some adventure? How much longer would they have to endure her absence, before he'd see those mismatched hues again? It was a worry that he clearly shared with Charlotte to some degree. "You think she'd be happy seeing you laying there instead? I beg to differ."

Catching a glimpse of her crimson orbs, he'd notice a lack of emotion, void of a spark of life. It distinctly reminded him of his own gaze a few days prior. Not something he remembered on his own, of course, but through Zylah's eyes. A look that made her shove all worry aside only to embrace him. Could he do that to her, though? Something told him that she might not appreciate it, so instead he'd click his tongue. Molly's ears would perk, looking up towards Felix who nodded his head towards Charlotte. Molly seemed hesitant at first, but meowed softly in response before standing up once more. Carefully stepping off of Zylah, the feline would position herself directly in front of Charlotte before meowing again; she was demanding attention. She wanted to be pet, and she wanted to console the grieving girl. It was that tail again that left him uneasy. Umber hues would glance up at the stringer for just a moment only to have that scene flash before his eyes again. The trembling tail that was ready to plunge itself deep into Zylah's chest. What would've happened if he hadn't arrived? Did his presence somehow deter an unfolding tragedy? . . . His mind was raising at the thoughts, leaving him to stare into his bag much longer than he anticipated. Was it going to happen again if she was left alone? Could he even risk it? The thought made him nauseous, the pit quivering in pain. Even his heart ached so suddenly at the image of that tail piercing through her chest as if it was his own. '. . . I think I'll be staying a little while.' He concluded. It just wasn't worth the risk.

At the rejection of the 'eye cover' he'd shrug and pull it back into his bag. In its place he'd pull out another snack in sync with the growl of her stomach. A sound that pulled a smirk to his lips once again as he pushed a bag of chips and a cup of pudding towards her. "Well, eat up then. I brought plenty! I bet Zy's gonna be starved when she wakes up. I just hope you've got a sweet tooth like her." He'd wink playfully in the same Zylah fashion, pushing a spoon her way as well. He'd scoot to the edge of his seat, leaning over the bed as he opened a lollipop before popping it in his own mouth. The wrapper said 'Pineapple.' As the sweet nodes took hold of his taste buds, he'd merely shrug his shoulders in response. "You were lookin' a little worse for wear is all. Did you know you were a sleep talker?" He'd ask curiously, though his eyes traveled with hers down towards the sleeping girl. His expression would shift once again to a more somber look, leaning down on his elbows against the bed. "She'd notice, ya know? I don't know a lot about Bellhop or Lulu, but Zy would notice for sure. She's good about that." He knew that all too well, the worry he caused the poor girl. She noticed immediately when he was a no show to their breakfast date. No call, no text, no show. Next thing they knew she was at the team JOLD dorm. If he wasn't there, at least Ora or someone else would be there. Someone that could tell her what happened. But there he was with a broken look in his eyes, something was wrong. Even with that in mind, he couldn't help but agree with Charlotte. It was one thing to wonder how things would be on the flipside, but in the moment... It hurt. It made him worry. A sensation that he had never felt before. Never on his own, at least. It was always through someone else's heart. To experience it first hand, so raw and unkempt, it was torture. A pain unlike any other, but one he would try his best to smile through all the same. He wanted to be here when she woke up, for the first thing he saw was a smile on his face for her. Though the longer she was away, the more his optimism seemed to waver. Why was it so hard to keep a smile on his face now?

As Feralis was awaiting a response or any indication his kick had been heard, he would notice something from his peripheral to the left of the door. His eyes would turn towards the strange change of color on the wall, unsure what caused it. What was even stranger was there seemed to be a shape for it, but he was unsure what to determine it to be. It certainly wasn't anything natural, that was for sure. As he tried focusing on the strange occurrence, he could begin to make it out to be a face. Its lips seemed to move into a smirk...before it disappeared into the wall. Hell no. He was not dealing with a ghost. 'Did Kenna die and become a ghost? Hell, I am not dealing with that feline as a ghost if thats the case.' He silently thought to himself. Thoughts of leaving so he didn't have her eternal spirit follow him sprang to mind before something even freaking weirder happened. The door began to be coated in like a bubble of color, Feralis unsure what color it was specifically. Not that it mattered, he was more so disturbed by the fact that it seemed to be shifting and turning on the door. 'What kind of freaky s**t is behind this door...' He would silently think to himself a she held his ground. While there were thoughts of leaving, he was never one to back down or away. Especially if it was Kenna's evil spirit. He would lay her to rest if he had to.

He heard a click and the door would open... just enough for him to slip through if he chose to. 'Right...totally not a trap.' He thought to himself as his ears became alert and his tail twitched erratically. While he had been mostly relaxed before, this freaking ghost like occurrence was making him more wary. He was debating fully walking inside when it got even more weird. He heard a voice... that very clearly had no body nearby. It sounded very familiar to him but sounded off for whatever reason as well. It made his hair stand on end at the creepiness of it all. He needed to figure out a way to kill this freaking spirit and quick. He was not going to have it haunt him for the rest of his life, that was for sure. It stated the obvious of him not being allowed there and invited him in... before calling him a nickname he hated. He growled softly at the mention of it but complied as he took a few steps froward. "Its not snuffles, its Feralis." He would say in a growl as he continued to step inside. As soon as he was past the door, it closed with a familiar clicking sound. He turned to look back at it as he did, now presumably trapped in the room. 'But i'm not trapped with it... It's trapped with me.' He thought to himself with a slight grin.

Then... out of the door a ghost would fly forth from it. 'Of course they get the haunted room.' He silently thought to himself, But as he looked at the form of the spirit, it did not seem to be in Kendall's form but rather someone else. Then it would speak again only... he now knew why it was familiar. "Maria?" He would ask for a moment, confused. He had honestly entirely forgotten what her semblance was in all their time apart. The same for Kendall honestly. They were not the type that relied on their semblances when he was last with them, and more with their martial skill. So he never saw a point to paying attention about either of their semblances. But this voice was very much Maria's. As it mentioned going closer to Kenna so she could get a kick of it, he would look over to the bed. He would see Kendall's sleeping form on the bed along with an unconscious Maria who was holding her hand... Though Maria was much worse for wear than the last time he saw her. She had bandages and burn marks on her cheeks, as well as her hair not being even. He could only tell for the hair because he saw her at the ball. He would look between the sleeping maria and the floating spectral one before speaking. "Fine i'll go over by mittens to speak of it. But if she springs awake and attacks me, I am not holding back." Feralis would say with a serious expression on his face, clearly not liking the idea of being so close to Kendall.

Before he could do so, he noticed a red flashing light on the face of her giant robot. He glared at it and bared his teeth before it even began to speak. "Provoking? The damned feline always starts it. She can't even say two words without insulting me or attacking me." He would respond with a low growl. Proving the robots point in that matter but its not like he cared or realized the contradiction he made. He was act first and think later a lot of the time, especially with felines. Still, after its little outburst the robot simmered down a little bit. Sticking his tongue out at it, he would move over to be beside Kenna and Maria's unconscious forms just to spite the robot. If it wanted to stop him it would have to move its a** and try, but it would not succeed. Feralis would turn it into scrap metal long before then. His gaze would travel to Maria again now that he was so close. To see all the burns on her cheeks and the bandages. He had no clue what happened to her and that she had become so hurt. He felt a pang of guilt for not being able to help her for whatever had happened. For never being there when she needed him. His arm would go around her unconscious body in a half hug as he would begin to speak. "The usual. They wouldn't let me in so I had to improvise. There are plenty of nurses taking a nap outside currently because I didn't need anyone sounding an alarm. Now, what happened with you? I leave for a little bit and I find you two in a hospital again." Feralis would speak, sounding like his whole stealth mission through the infirmary was nothing really. Which it wasn't, it was pretty easy to do. But his voice changed to a more serious and concerned tone as he asked what happened to her. I seemed every time he saw her something new went wrong.

Charlotte Aoyama

[ P O S T ]
Charlotte flickered her eyes back down to the floor. Her hand moving to gently rub the tip of her own tail like it was a cat for a few seconds before slowly starting to speak. “She would be happy with you. I am just…” She herself didn't even know. A friend? Close friend? Target? Acquaintance? Pet? Someone that just existed? Why did all of those words hurt? “There. She would get over me being down. If they noticed… I am just a burden” Why did saying that even hurt? Why was charlotte feeling so weak. Then came the cat. The meows dragged her eyes towards it. The Demanding attention slightly confused the faunus as she started to speak. “I think your cat wants something What do I do? I don’t have food? Do…I stab it … Do I put it back on Zylah? ... Do I put it on my tail? Do I attack it?” Her eyes darted up as she seemed to plead with Felix for help. She didn’t know what to do with this feline! It was the first cat she had really interacted with. Through her eyes had some emotion now… Mostly fear. Pain. And a little bit of panic.

It was at the mention of eating up that charlotte snapped her eyes down to the food that had been pushed towards her. A slight look of confusion on her face as she picked up the bag of crisps. Least before she tried to take a bite of the wrapper not knowing what it even said. She recognised a letter on it though! .. that was better than before lunia had been trying to teach her. Though she quickly recoiled away from the foil as she looked … betrayed at the bag. ”It had promised a meal and even crunched.. It's a traitor to food kind” she muttered softly. Her face even seemed utterly betrayed almost shocked. This wasn't a joke to her before she started to pout at it a little. Her left hand moved to the spoon before she started to speak a little louder. ”Oh thanks!” Where her solemn words before she stabbed the bag of crisps with the spoon. Through her eyes flickered up towards felix just to catch him leaning over and popping a lollipop into his own mouth. A word written on it with letters. The only letter charlotte could identify being the A.

”Im fine. I am always fine. Even when i am not i am fine. That is a soldiers duty?” She caught herself after what she said. A blink flickering over her eyelids before she looked confused. ”I am a soldier? We all are? For someone else's war? Why should.. I allo.. I talk in my sleep? I.. what did i say… “ Her eyes instinctively dropped again towards zylah. Why did saying that hurt? Why was she now worried waht she said in her sleep? Did she say something bad? Do something bad? ”How do you know she would… HOW.. you met her recently she.. you..” Why did that hurt again. Why where the tears rolling down her face? Why did she want to slap him? Even charlotte herself questioned the last one herself. She knew if she wanted it to hurt to punch.. Yet her instincts were saying to slap...

Danaë would nod her head in agreement. She was glad that no one openly pulled on her feathers anymore. She hated the bleeding that it caused. Then again, she had something new that she did want to show her, but now wasn't the time. Danaë looked confused for a moment. Normally her semblance would fail by now. Her feathered eyebrows would raise at her own semblance. She knew how long she normally had, but the slow down hadn't happened yet. This was odd.

Then Eve would make fun of her, saying that she didn't really know her man without taking a nibble. She didn't want to nibble. She wanted to share her warmth with him, keeping him close as they slept. This was mostly because she wanted to make sure he wasn't sneaking out in the middle of the night. "You say that, but he does something that you don't do. He faints every time I sneak up on him. It's funny watching him fall over." She would giggle as she pulled up her scroll. She had taken a video of it one time. Eve would see him flail, as Danaë couldn't help but giggle.

Eve didn't seem to understand why her team mattered to her. Why she cared about the people there. This was very sad. It would be sad when she killed her new team she was about to be on. "I care about the people on my team, Richard, Narx, and Chase." She would look up. "Sure, we are an odd bunch, but we work well together. We recently took down a Manticore on our own." She remembered being sent flying as she went to strike the Manticore for everyone, and the bite that it took out of her Shoulder. "A team is to help prepare you for the real world, when we become huntresses. Even Asger is on a team, even though that boy is gona die." She would muse towards the end. She kind of hoped that Eve asked how he was going to die. Eve was going to eat him. She already knew how it was going to go.

Even then Eve was distracted from by the blade. Danae would flash a smile. "I have about 10 of these in my hair, well, 9 right now." She loved talking about her daggers, but no one seemed to want to talk to her about them. "They function like any normal dagger. Wait, did you not know that you can use certain Acids, and chemicals to turn the blades different colors during the drenching process?" She would look to Eve's face. "They don't sacrifice function when you do it that way, but you can burn yourself pretty bad if you aren't careful." Danaë loved what she did with the blades. They were a beautiful piece of usable art.

Koryn huffed a little when he rejected her offer, "I'm still going to make you something, I'm thinking some green and ooooh maybe some pink too!" she said, that excitable side of her never disappearing. She looked to Eira who loosened her hold of her and giggled playfully, "My cute Eira, did you get hurt too or are you okay?" she said, examining her teammate.

Koryn turned to look at the leader of her team, Sasslia. She tilted her head to the side as she explained she wanted to hug the butterfly but didn't want to harm her, "Hugs make things better!" she said, as she gently shuffled off the bed and wrapped her in a tight hug. "SEE!" she said, as she giggled which eventually became a cough as she then let go. "I.. I'm fine.. it just feels like my insides are a little bit tickled that's all!" she said, when really she was in a deal of pain.

Looking to the doctor again as he explain she couldn't go back, her jaw dropped and almost hit the ground when he said she'd been out of it for four days. Her wings moved rapidly to show she was shocked, and a little bit scared. "FOUR DAYS?!" she yelled, looking a bit flustered. "But.. wh.. I.. " she couldn't get her words out. Remaining silent for a brief moment as she closed her eyes it was evident she was in deep thought. It was almost as if she was thinking of something smart, or using some common sense.. "I NEED SUGAR WATER, AND FAST! I CAN'T SURVIVE FOR FOUR DAYS WITHOUT IT!" she yelled again, not knowing that she would have most likely have been getting fed through other means.

"Thanks Doc! Let's go get some sugar team!" she said, as she lifted herself into the sky, only to have to drop down again. She had very little energy, and chuckled at this. Looking behind to her friends, she remembered what Richard had told her once. 'Sasselia is your captain, give her that role and make her feel welcome'. Koryn was pondering again in her head, too much for the butterfly and she would frazzle her small brain. "Sassy, where should we go first? What do you want us to do?" she asked, unsure if they were the right questions, but trying to give her the option to lead them.

Vincent sighs softly when the girl claims that she is still planning to make him something. "You really don't need too." Even if she did he would probably give it to Natalie any way. It really was something he would likely see her use. Certainly more likely than him at the very least. The girls on either side of her bed got drawn into her conversation once more. He wanted to warn her again against getting up already when she started to climb out of her bed to hug the blue haired girl. Natalie would for sure approve of this kind of thing. That girl was a firm believer in stuff like the healing power of laughter and the like. Vincent preferred a more medical and scientific approach.

When Koryn processed what he had told her she started to panic again. Even yelling about needing sugar water or else she would die. It was common sense, at least to Vincent and probably the others in the room, that her deity needs to survive were dealt with while she was unconscious. "Relax Miss Koryn. You were given your sugar water. We wouldn't neglect such a basic need of a patience body as that. Though since it was given by other means than normal ingestion it would be odd for you to feel hungry. Your stomach is essentially empty after all and add onto that that what is given to you isn't exactly the perfect equivalent to a balanced diet." He explained that she wasn't about to starve to death as soon as she had stopped shouting in a panic. Though upon hearing it Koryn seemed to return to her desire to get going again. She asked Sasselia where they should go to first.

Vincent advanced towards the side of the bed Sasselia was on and that Koryn was trying to get off of. Based on her cough earlier and his own knowledge and skill as a professional he knew full well that the girl was not ready to be cut lose just yet. "Miss Argenia, if you would be so kind." He said as he approached, shooing Sasselia away from the edge of the bed. Or at least farther up it so he could get at Koryn. "You're not going anywhere just yet Miss Koryn. You still need to undergo your examination." He was already getting the needed equipment ready to verify that she was well enough to go. So long as she sat still he would be done in a few minutes or so. A physical exam would cover most everything and there should be no need to wait for any tests.

The doctor really, really did not seem interested in getting a tricked out colorful lab coat. Though if Eira know Koryn she really would get him one at some point. Unless she forgot... But she would remember it again every time she saw him so it was sort of inevitable really. Koryn shifted her attention back to Eira and she shook her head in response to her question. "No I was fine. You were the only one that was seriously injured. Though I did here after we left there was a girl that came close to suffocating after one of the grimm ate her whole, but her team killed it in seconds after it swallowed her." She listened in without making any comment when Koryn started to chat with Sasselia about hugs. Since Eira had let her go from one Koryn was able to get over to the other side of the bed to give Sassy a big hug as well. Eira grinned a little thinking that Sasselia would probably be happy about that. Their leader seemed to have been beating herself up with self doubt and worries that Koryn would hate her for putting her into a situation that got her so seriously injured. This scene was pretty hard evidence that what Eira had been telling her earlier that morning in their dorm room that Koryn would never think that or hate her.

The doctor soothed Koryn's worries rather quickly about her supply of food during the past few days. Though Eira is a little shocked that Koryn would die from only missing a few days of her sugar water. Eira was human and like humans she thought most faunus could survive a long time with no food. Perhaps Koryn was a special case. Her food was sugar water after all so perhaps it was more like she would die of a starvation dehydration mix than just starve. When Koryn tried to again push to head out right away the doctor came up to the bed this time and cut her off. Eira reached out and grabbed her hand. "You should listen to the Doctor Koryn. We have to make sure you are all tip top before you go. We'll stay here with you and wait til you're given a clean bill of health. A little more waiting is no big deal after this long." She had a bright smile and there were small tears clinging to the corners of her eyes. She really was overjoyed that Koryn was awake again.

                                                    out. of. confusion.

XXXWas Charlotte always this negative? From what he could recall in Zylah's memories, it seemed fairly hit or miss. She was darker in nature, most certainly, but seemed to have an innocent side when it came to day to day tasks. It was almost cute, if one didn't take into account the whole picture. "There? Burden? You're stressin' too much, Char. We're friends. Well I mean, we're friends with Zy. . . Are we friends? We don't talk a whole lot, but I bet we could manage. Look at us, talkin' now. I bet Zy would be thrilled, wouldn't'cha?" He'd talk as if asking Zylah a question, which he was. His words were optimistic, not surprising given who he was. Never getting held up, always forward thinking, it was in his nature. His cheeks couldn't help but tug a playful smirk as Charlotte began to panic with Molly engaged. Was it that odd to interact with a cat? Had she never done so before, perhaps? It was amusing at first, but her list of questions made his smile quiver. Before he might've thought the stab or attack remark was a joke, but after seeing her display with her tail earlier. that changed. It made the boy nervous, in fact. So much so that he was quick to shake his head as he leaned forward, clicking his tongue to get her attention. "She wants you to pet her, like this. Gently. Kind of like you were rubbing your tail a moment ago. Cats are fragile little things, so you need to be careful. Fragile, but suuuper soft. Give it a try~" He'd try to carefully explain, a smile returning to his face. Molly would purr in response as she pushed against his fingers. Once he managed to slip away, she'd turn her attention to Charlotte once again, meowing and waiting.

Next came something Felix didn't quite expect, a look of bewilderment. There was an expression shock and horror on the girl's face, was if mortified by what just happened. Which... What did just happen? Charlotte just tried to rip into the bag with her bare teeth only to feel unsavory after-effects of the foil. Next thing he knew the poor girl was stabbing the bag with a spoon! This was some kind of prank, right? No? Either way, this was comedy gold! His own morbid curiosity quickly turned into a look of amusement before busting into a fit of chuckles, barely keeping the lollipop in his mouth. "No no, you've got it all wrong friend! You're supposed to open the bag to get the chips. Like this.." With his words trailing off, he'd reach into his bag once more. After a bit of shuffling, he'd pull out another bag of chips and clench the edges of one end with his fingers. "Pinch, pull, and POP!" With a loud pop, a few stray chips would shoot out of the bag. Felix was always underestimating his own strength, resulting in projectile food from time to time. Not so hungry himself, he'd place the bag down across from Charlotte. "That spoon isn't for stabbing, either. To dull, though I like your style~ I bet if you stab the top of that pudding cup hard enough, you'll manage just fine." This was a disaster waiting to happen, but Felix just couldn't help himself.

An odd rollercoaster they were on. Emotional instability, doing horrible things to food, then more serious talk. He was beginning to wonder what exactly Charlotte's story was. His own sister talked in a similar manner from time to time, being raised as a tool of war. She wasn't meant to think or feel, but fight. She was a soldier all the same, and more often than not, she was 'fine.' . . . Until they slipped away from the lab clutches, of course. That's when things began to change. "Not gonna lie to you, Char, I don't even know what war we're fighting anymore." That was the most truthful thing that Felix could say. What war was even happening anymore? His memories were an amalgamation of others. What war was he suppose to fight for, anyway? There was the war against Vale with his supposed fellow demon clan members. Then there was the war against the Tribe, the radical anti-faunus activist that would stop at nothing to show the world their wrong about 'faunus.' ... On the flip side, shouldn't he be sided with the Tribe? Despite the horns on his head, Zylah's memories were clear in his mind with former activity. . . No, things were different now in that war. Whispers of hushed words in the depths of night a few days prior talking about it all. Their guilts, their regrets, trying to move on but the inability to move forward. At least... Until that moment, perhaps? But, this boy couldn't leave that thought so cryptic. Instead, he'd play it with carefree ignorance while telling Charlotte a bit about himself. "I don't even know about all that solider stuff. Did you know I woke up in the middle of the outskirts during a class without a clue who I was? Had my scroll, my cat, and my boxers. Never even heard of Beacon before. Heck, I'm just along for the ride~" That was Felix in a nutshell. A boy that would one-day wakeup with no memories just as before, just to wing it again.

His mouth hung open to add on, the lollipop hooking on his lower teeth. He couldn't say anything, though, Charlotte was continuing. She wanted to know what she said, though they were words he wished he hadn't heard. What if he wasn't supposed to hear it? Had he even heard clearly? "Honestly, its hard to say. You were mumbling so quietly, it could'a been anything. I bet I woulda heard ya more clearly if I sat here first. I just didn't want to scare you, bein' shy and all." He could have just as easily heard her wrong and therefore decided to play the part. It wasn't entirely a lie, either. The boy kept his distance until she started to wake up for that reason, though now he was concerned for that tail of hers. He also never claimed he didn't hear anything, just that it could be anything. Here this carefree boy was, sneaking around his own words. Who would've thought? Her next question though. Now that was one he could get behind, though her reluctant words were followed with tears. It was a little sad, wasn't it? Was she crying about Zylah being bedridden again, or was it something else? "What kind of question is that? You mean she didn't tell you? Bah, I'm offended! Well, the answer is simple, Char.." With a smile tugging his cheeks, the lollipop stick from his lips. He would sit up straight only to tip back in his chair, then to the side to balance on one leg. "With magic, of course. How else could I do it?" His smirk was playful, his tone chipper as he tried to lighten the mood. "Though I can show you a trick just yet, we've gotta wait for my lovely assistant to wake up." As his chair legs touched the ground once more, Molly would meow in response with a bob of her head. Clearly, she was nodding in agreement.

His horrifically optimistic nature was leaking through again. A nature that seemed so far out of reach right now. With the girl lying beside them, it just felt like part of him was missing. Actually... Not just metaphorically, but something physically as missing. That was right, the tip of his left horn. Umber orbs would dart up towards the left, locking on the segment of missing horn that broke off during their. . . Encounter. She'd have a scar from it, that was certain, but whatever happened to the piece? Despite what happened, how painful the situation was, the missing segment of horn caused him to smile. Slipping his hand into his pocket, he'd feel around to make sure something was still there. Which it was. "Oh hey, I bet you didn't notice. Take a look at this." He'd say as he bobbed his head, then point his free hand towards his horn. A good couple inches had been busted right off, but by what. "I thought these things were invincible, but Zy sure packs a punch. Decked me hard the other day, busted the piece clean off." Was Charlotte someone that got a kick out of the misfortunate of others? Felix himself was one to laugh at his own pain, at least physically, so it didn't hurt to try.

XXXHow could Danae's man be so timid? So meek that he faints whenever he's shocked? The thought caused her to giggle in her mind, though it was worrisome. . . . Then again, who was she to compare? Her own was a book worm that got caught up in making plans so much it hindered action. Decisive matters were both his strength and weakness, and she was certain they could spend hours just trying to decide what to eat for lunch. Which by the way, the clear answer was him. Eve's turquoise hues watched carefully as Danae proceeded to tug a scroll from her. She had seen such a device, but never had one of her own. What were they like, she wondered? Soft hues would widen in delight at the sight of a fainting man, dropped in an instant from a little spook. Her cheeks would puff before a sputter of laughter escaped her lips. Now she could understand why Danae liked it so much. "That's gold! Oh man, I wish I could surprise my Adam like that. It would make things so fun~" She hummed in delight, rocking back gently on the bed. Then things got too mushy, at least for her taste. It was like Danae to get attached to silly things like that, though. People, friends, a team. She was still young, so Eve could let it slide for now. Slowly she began to ponder what a team around Danae would be like, a team of humans. It wasn't until the mention of a Manticore rang in her ears. Her eyes would widen, surprised and impressed. "You're messin' with me! You? Madam floof?! Girl I bet that thing would've turned you into chicken nuggets!" She said with a loud snicker, fangs showing with each laugh. She wasn't sure whether or not to believe the hatchling, but the thought itself was surely entertaining in her head.

That didn't sound right in her head. There were no teams in the real world. After all, she should know, she had faced such a thing since she was a little girl. Sure, a helpful hand came along the way once or twice; both Papa and Asger. Aside from them though, that ideology didn't settle... In the real world, the huntsmen stood on their own. They fought for themselves. At least, in her world. "Isn't that idiotic? Huntsmen hunt alone. How can you be independent if you don't face the world yourself? Not that I care. No no, I don't need a team, I don't need to be a huntress. I'm already in the real world, and all I need is my Adam, damn the rest!" Though her words were followed with a confident smirk, it would drop at Danae's next words. Asger had a team. That wasn't something she wanted to hear, even though she could smell it on him. Her precious, her darling, was on a team with others. Nostrils would flare in response to the news. She knew something smelled off when she entered the room, she smelt too many people on him. The scent of other women on him was clear, one that smelled oddly like a farm animal. A male, too. It simply wouldn't do, these homewreckers trying to come on HER turf. Didn't they see the marks she left? Couldn't they see that she had already placed her rightful claim on him? Her head would tilt sideways, her turquoise gaze looking upon him once again. With a blink, the red glint would illuminate in her eyes. "Is this boy the one I smell on him? What... did... he... do~?" The tune that hummed at the end of her words spoke wonders. A piece of her knew exactly what he was doing, getting too close to her precious. Then again, she always thought people were trying to get too close to him. How was this boy meant to die though, she wondered. A playful curiosity taking hold, though a sinister smirk contorted her lips.

The pinkette soon cooed in amusement as Danae began to further explain her daggers. She had so many of these, just hiding in her hair? It seemed that the girl who was always picked on for her feathers was now using them in the most lethal way. Stealth to conceal a most deadly weapon in plain sight. "So you're saying if I gave you a noogie right now, I'd be having a bad time? Oh boy, I want to test that theory~" The woman would grin twistedly. She was not a stranger to pain. Instead, she often embraced it far more than anyone was ever meant to. Unlike many, she could recover from the most severe of injuries with little danger to herself. So walking the fine line of danger and insanity was one of her favorite past times. Ever more curious, the pinkette would continue to tilt her head in wonder as Danae went on further to explain. Every so often she would shake her head, completely ignorant to the process of coloring blades. Though Eve began to noticably shiver as her arms tucked in closer. "N-not a clue. Papa designed th-them special, so I thought they were the b-be-estest they could be! You have to show me later! D-damn office workers said I couldn't carry around my H-heart yet. But once I get it back, can we d-dye them? Alllll sorts of c-olors~?" Eve's tone was growing more chipper and excited, despite the cold setting in. Who wouldn't at the idea of making the most beautiful tools for rending flesh? It was a dream come true!

Abruptly, her hands would come up to curl her fingers into her arms, clutching the dagger as she tried to retain heat. "I-I could use s-some of those ch-chemicals... It's s-so cold!" Eve was never one to handle the cold well. In fact, one of the only reasons she ever made it through at Signal was because she clung onto Asger all winter. With that in mind, her turquoise orbs fell on Asger once more. "I-I know he w-wouldn't mind..." She would immediately crawl into the bed, curling her slender form against Asger's own, her pink hair sprawling out over him. Her head rested gently against his chest, listening to the sound of his breathing. The sound of his heartbeat. All while she took his scent in, the scent that she longed for. Even if it had been obscured by so many others, it was truly him. He seemed undisturbed by her presence. In fact, his warmth seemed to be welcoming her. All this movement held careful precision, as to not disturb the machine that connected him to this world. Her newly claimed dagger was tucked away against her sleeve, ensuring it wouldn't dare harm her precious. "It really is you... My darling. I missed you so much." In her hushed tone, something peculiar would happen. A crystal that hung from her next just barely in sight would faintly glow. It was a sign that she was home.
