The open display of affection in uniform was - Amphitrite wouldn't say reassuring per say, or even grounding, but it was enough to know she was not alone in this situation. It was irrational, anyway. Leucite would do nothing to her here, and might not even remember her. She was probably insignificant in the grand scheme of things.

Somehow that thought made her fingers curl in the wake of unpleasant, scattered memories, her churning unpleasantly. How was him forgetting it worse?

Stop thinking about it. It was a lifetime ago now. Focus.

Amphitrite instead turned her full attention to the door and what lay beyond -

- victims. People who she assumed had been drained to a greater extent than Nissonite had been. Sloppy. Messy. "Just who the hell is even running this operation?" she hissed out lowly, moving towards the prone forms while glancing past them to see if there was any hope of an escape down this way.

Typically, she wouldn't care so much about ensuring the victims were okay... but playing the hero had been successful in Ax's case, obviously. Maybe there was another chance for that here. So that was her intention when she relinquished Nissonite's hand to go and check on them.

Hitch did not power up - even knowing that his husband had shifted into a squire beside him, a pang of guilt eating away at him for a few precious seconds before he told himself firmly that Eurydike would be more of a liability than a help right now. He didn't want Emrys to have to do this on his own, but if he drew attention to himself right now...

Instead, he felt his husband's hand firmly, trying to focus on not holding him back. He wasn't really considering the ramifications either, but that wasn't such a surprise considering the biggest things on his mind were getting out of here with with husband (and his friend) and getting his a** to an actual doctor. Or at least a bed. Doctor preferred though.

At least the door seemed to open up into a hall, ********, " he groaned, staring at the prone bodies lying propped against the wall. Two of them. The ******** were they supposed to do? Wasn't like they could just leave them lying there, but - it wouldn't have been a goddamn issue if he wasn't already such a ******** liability - Even so, "We gotta help 'em."

Nissonite tensed when he saw the prone figures just inside the door, hand tightening ont he door handle before he was stepping back to give Amphi more room to check on the pair. He couldn't comment on the competency of what was going on here aside from it all just seemed terrible ill run in general. With very little experience in the Negaverse to date he had nothing to compare this to, but from everything he'd heard and seen from the girls and Chase, this was all wrong.

Scanning the hall, he took up guarded stance beside the senshi as she checked the two civilians, the back of his neck prickling as more and more auras sprang up around them. Chaotic and order both. "Are they alive?" he asked as he glanced back at her, the first stirrings of urgency in his voice.

He didn't bother stating the obvious that they needed to get out of there, she knew, she wanted out of there just as much as he did.

Zachariah Faulkner --> Sailor Hydor

As he turned back to the other two to comment on the seemingly unconscious bodies in front of him, there was a moment where Zachariah was not able to help a bitter laugh.

Of course Hitch and Rhys were involved in this s**t too.

What the ******** was wrong with this ******** city?

It was at that moment he took a glance around the room, not necessarily what was in front of them, shoving his hand into his left pocket. On one hand, revealing his identity was a fool's errand. Revealing his identity went against the very concept of being a secret hero if that was supposedly what he was. He had caught the sounds of the general, though; he had spotted out of the corner of his eye some outfits that did not seem like the types of outfits any normal civilian would wear. Could he hide in an area that could be safe?

Zachariah wedged himself between the door and the hallway, looking down at the civilians slumped against the wall.

Did they have to help them? Could they not just ******** leave? Did any of the others gathered around doors find a potential exit? If they could get out, perhaps they could just let the authorities deal with the ******** civilians--

"I guess," grunted Zachariah, before muttering under his breath. He was too weak to be of any real assistance in this form.

Zachariah was no longer Zachariah.

He turned over his shoulder, quirked a brow, and ventured into the hallway.

A third voice joined them, and he turned his head over his shoulder to acknowledge the new arrival. A Dark Moon senshi by the looks of things. His brows furrowed. Any other day he'd have been standoffish at best, their court had attacked many after all - as far as he was concerned their truce was a fragile, practically non-existent thing. Subtle acts for war, and all that.

But a crisis such as this made strange bedfellows, and Leucite had already decided to get as many people out of the situation as he possibly could. He wasn't a monster after all. His preference for his energy draining and starseed harvests were the dregs of society - those the law refused, or couldn't, touch.

"Normally we'd be informed, but I suspect someone dropped the ball," Leucite said in a clipped, cool tone. "Bureaucracy, you know how it is. Right hand, left hand, etc."

Just standard large organizational dysfunction, nothing to see here...

The laugh - which he was sure was supposed to elicit chills down someone's spine, only made him angry, he grit his teeth, could practically hear them grinding against each other as he tried to tamp his rage down and keep a level head.

"General Stibnite," He said, tilting his head back in her direction. "I know this is close quarters but some covering fire would be delightful, if you don't mind."

He was very proud of Stibnite, her elevation to general also made their relationship much easier - as he no longer needed to worry about his wife chiding him being seen as insubordination. While he was the senior of the two generals, he viewed her as a peer - an equal partner. So while he was sure he could technically give her orders, he felt a bit of professional courtesy wouldn't hurt.

"Captain Reinerite," He said, his tone slipping from professional courtesy to expectant authority. "If you would be so kind as to take point with me, if I recall correctly your weapon is more melee oriented?" It had been a snow-globe if he remembered her file correctly - he wondered what it had become with her promotion - hopefully something a trifle more effective.

And then... the tail. He frowned. He had absolutely no authority over the Dark Moon Court, but he wasn't about to let that stop him from trying. "And you, the Senshi," He barked at the senshi in a slightly harsher authoritative tone. "Do your best to assist as you can, but stay out of our way when the fighting starts. Fling magic at your own risk. If you hit one of us, I will shove my boot so far up your a** you'll be tasting bootblack, clear?"

With that done, he began to advance into the hallway, his eyes moving around the hallway, keeping his head on a swivel to hopefully not be caught off guard.

The parley had failed - it was time for action.

Erich Jäger // Lt. Geocronite

Erich had followed whomever had gotten the key to their room, and it appeared that they had gone somewhere that was slightly larger. He couldn't really tell what was going on, but what he did know was that enough was enough. "All right, enough of this s***." Erich muttered to himself, getting away from the crowd of people that had been within his room. He remembered that being a Negaverse agent helped one to heal a bit more quickly than they usually would as just a regular civilian. Whether that would help put his shoulder back in place he didn't know, but he was going to try it anyway.

As soon as he felt soon enough to do so, he powered up with the disgusting chaos force that he had to force himself to bare every time that he "powered up" and felt his shoulder snapping into place. But that didn't mean that there had been no pain. "S***!" He loudly said, just a bit below a yell. He didn't want to draw too much attention to himself, after all if he was able to power up here, that meant that there could be Order people around that wouldn't hesitate to jump him just because he was an agent.

That and clearly all the workers here were insane.

The laughter at the end the hall continues, wild and delighted. The lights flickered on and off; then guttered a second later, a single fluorescent bulb going in and out.

"Are you going somewhere?" says a voice.

Squire Emrys of Neptune

Somehow, with all of the chaos, with all of the stupidity and the ridiculousness, and the obvious wrongness of this hellish place, Emrys should have been surprised to see that Zachariah was also in this war with them. He should have been startled to learn that his husband's school friend was a senshi - but all Emrys felt was a dull sense of resignation, a frustration that curled in his chest.

He swallowed hard, gave Zachariah - not Zachariah - a nod, and then glanced at Hitch, who was still Hitch.

"Did you want to try and help them?" he whispered anxiously. "We should try and get them out of here."

"They seem to be...?"

Not that she was overflowing with medical knowledge, but she had enough basics to go by. One of the big perks of her time away from the city. She reached out and pressed her fingertips to the girl's neck, feeling for signs of life.

The primary concern was still getting out of here, naturally; she'd save these people if they were still alive (for the potential they held for the future - and if not that, another starseed to harvest), but if it came down to it, getting herself and Nissonite out of here as soon as possible was a priority.

"No one's coming after us, right?" Everything sounded so scattered and chaotic.

Visible surprise flashed across Hitch's face, and he wasn't sure whether he was relieved or devastated to know that Zachariah was a part of this too. That meant he was at risk in all this s**t, too - like Tolliver had been, like Olga had been. Was it better than Zachariah had his own strength, enough that he didn't have to rely on people like Eurydike to keep him safe? - or was it worse knowing that someone he'd just reconnected with could be that easily snatch away from him?

The mixed emotions were, as always, a little too obvious on his face, even obscured by blood and gore as it was. But he said nothing about it, not yet. There wasn't time, and this wasn't really the place. "What do I call you?" he grunted instead.

For the first time, with a deliberate squeeze of his hand, Hitch gently tugged his fingers free from his husband's grasp. "I can walk." Which wasn't a lie. He was ********, but he was still conscious. Somehow. "Each of you take one of 'em - I'll stick ********' close - " and try not to be a goddamn burden. He didn't say it, but did he have to?

Toren Estel

The lights stung his only good eye, and he felt even more blind than usual. With his head already hurting, the red lights only painted a grim, violent glow on everything around him. Sticking close to Dessie and Alphonse, his breathing picked up again, but then stilled as he caught sight of Negaverse agents. He felt better knowing it might be then behind this then the DMC, but he also wasn't sure if the DMC were involved in some loose alliance scheme. The downside was that he wasn't powered up to sense any signatures and had to rely solely on sight, but he also felt like he'd be a target if he did power up. Right now he barely felt able to keep from passing out. How would he fair if he made himself a target when he was still on the brink of throwing up again?

Dessie called out for Alphonse and another man and when Toren looked beside him, he was startled to see that Alphonse had vanished. The man had said he would keep him from being taken, but now he as gone.

Reaching out, he gripped Dessie's arm and looked around. "They took him!"

Sailor Hydor

He guessed that they should try to get them out of there. It was the right thing to do or some bullshit like that. Plus, it kept them away from being vulnerable to all the generals here. That vulnerability gave the Negaverse easy access to their starseeds. He could not let more starseeds fall into their hands.

Hydor caught Rhys-the-Knight's resignation, caught the look of surprise on Hitch's face, but there was nothing more to be done about either of it. They knew who he was now, and they needed to do something about these ******** unconscious but still living bodies.

"Hydor," replied he, flatly, before turning his eyes towards Rhys-the-Knight. "You?"

He then turned his eyes back towards Hitch. "And you ******** better."

After he said this, he walked over to one of the bodies, inspecting it. The best he could do, he supposed, was sling them over his shoulder. Hydor angled his body downwards as best he could, pushing his shoulder into the body and pressing upwards, hopefully pulling them both up without needing to rely too heavily on the injured arm. The last thing he needed to do was give a clue as to why he was in this forsaken hospital in the first place.

Shikora Mjoli --> Richtersveld Page of Pluto

When it seemed that most everyone around her had made the decision to move into the next room, Shikora decided that would be her best option, and followed after the others. Perhaps there, she could find more people she could provide assistance to, or maybe even find a way out of this place...

It was then she realized how much more space there was in here, how many more hidden locations there were. While Shikora did not feel like she had to be in her knight form to be helpful, she felt she was more capable of it while she was. It gave her abilities she had no access to as a civilian, after all. Plus, it allowed her to protect herself better, especially when she was fairly sure that this had to be some sort of operation.

Why wouldn't it be?

Shikora concentrated, letting the form of Shikora Mjoli shift into the form of Richtersveld, Knight of Pluto. She rolled the terrarium around in her hand, pondering in thought, wondering where she would be the most useful.

It was unfortunate that with her henshin she suddenly felt the oppressive presence of far more Chaotic auras than she would have liked. They had to figure out a way out of here, and quickly before any more civilians were endangered. Before any more lives were endangered, considering the severe injuries Shikora had seen around that waiting room.

Richtersveld clutched at her side and ventured towards where she felt auras that were less oppressive.

The civilians have pulses, stirring feebly at the touch, but they do not wake. They have clearly been drained of energy and left behind by whoever was there first.

Squire Emrys of Neptune

A look - almost an apologetic one - was given to Hitch; Emrys knew how much it stung, how much he hated seeing friends and family entwined in this war as they were. He wasn't so sure he was surprised at anything anymore; the expression on his husband's face was complicated.

The squeeze of his hand was met with one of his own, but Hitch's fingers sliding out of his made something in Emrys' chest stutter, his expression flickering, something like hurt passing across his face. He opened his mouth, wanting to say - something - but nothing came to mind, and it was not the time, nor the place.

He wasn't going to think of that. He wasn't going to overthink any of this.

Swallowing, his heart pounding, Emrys reached for one of the civilians, ignoring the twinge his leg gave, the protest of extra weight pressing down on it. This was a bad time to be reminded that he was not up to par; that his leg, as ever, gave him issues, made him useless at the best of times and pathetic at the worst of them. Instead, he dragged the unconscious girl's arm over his shoulder and straightened again, biting his lip.

"We can at least get them out of the line of fire," he said to both Hitch and Hyodor, and then swallowed again, his pulse skittering.

"Emrys," he said quietly to the senshi. "Squire of Neptune."
