It was absolutely impossible to resist tipping his head back against her hands as she ran soothing fingers along his scalp, and he didn't even try. Instead he let his eyes fall mostly closed, focus sliding from the ache of his body to the feel of her nails tickling across his skin as she played through his hair. His hand slipped from her's, but only so he could wrap that arm around her hips now that she was close.

Soft fingers slid from scalp down to chin and he lifted his head at her coaxing, pale eyes opening again to look up at her and found himself sinking into the cool blue that stared intently down at him. Eyes to drown in.

And everything she was saying was exactly what the man wanted to hear. Whether sincere or not he couldn't tell truth from fabrication, but he eagerly lapped it all up. She had him, hook, line, and sinker, and she knew exactly what to do - what to say - to keep him.

He looked up at her like a man that knew he was drowning and didn't fight it when the water rose up over his head and pulled him under. "I think I would have let you, if you'd asked," he said finally. If she'd given him the choice...
