"If it were me I'd have first thanked you for the service you've done here today." his eyes would then shift to the medical nin addressing the hostages. "but that's the reasoning of it isn't it? These are crucial moments yes? Despite having informed them that many of these hostages are for the most part not in absolute critical condition and yet they, not a single one, acknowledged you. Rather it was you acknowledging them. It's a thankless job though isn't it? Being a Shinobi? This was after all your duty to your nation. You should be satisfied without being given thanks no?" Senran laughed somewhat to himself as though what he was saying was in jest.
"Ah of course, where do I go about thinking and telling you how you should or likely feel. I'm just a filthy rogue after all. I know nothing of duty. But I suppose that means if I were to help someone that would come off as my actions were more genuine than yours right? Although we both know that wouldn't be true right. Hmhmhm. I'm merely pulling your leg." The man would finally touch the ground and approach the witch who was being surgically tended to. The kanji words for [Suppress] and [Revitalize] appearing while the medical nin questioned what was occurring. The witches wounds would begin to heal and the voice of the nin tending to her would announce "She's stabilizing. I think he also suppressed her pain as she isn't vocalizing her discomfort." The two medical-nin looked at Senran. "Thankyou er stranger." "Think nothing of it. I'm just a wayward traveler seeking to help make this world a better place." the edged of Senran's eyes moved to their corners to look at Sadayo. Wondering if he could then relish in a possible demanding of appreciation for her efforts as well. After all, his healing of the witch was not done genuinely but to see what he could pull from the puppeteers soul.

For a time, yes, she thought his words and actions were actually sympathetic. But the more Senran spoke about the matter being that she hasn't been completely acknowledge Sadayo's opinion of him began to gradually change. She wanted to reason him as an illusion that sprung by the flowers but the Witch was out of commission. This white-haired pretty-boy was real and spoke allusions of the knowledge of Sadayo's deep-rooted lust for appreciation like one speaking from the pages of a book. "Not a single one acknowledged you." Her sights go on to count off the number of operatives and the take in status of the hostages who hadn't a single care in the world after zoning back into consciousness. Sadayo couldn't honestly expect one of the five hostages to suddenly spring to their feet and bask the puppeteer with gratitude, right?
Her shoulders rose and fell with a breath. The white-haired man's words were like a bitter wind send to toy with and set fire to Sadayo's composure. "You should be satisfied..."I should be satisfied? The image, the memory, of the foul-mouth Hyuga running off in the hospital to chase the wounded armored man without a word to spare to the puppeteer flickered. With the memory came the tinge of hurt she felt from being written off as an invisible hand. It wasn't pleasant to envision an imminent future where not a worth while word went her way. He laughs, oh how he laughs, even if just for a moment. Through the hurt, Sadayo had to breathe and realize this was a stranger toying with her. But how the stranger dove into something so substantial to the puppeteer was difficult to wrap her head around.
A greater mystery to Sadayo was why she set her sights into watching him for clues since all he did next was leech onto her potential thunder. In the presence of the operatives, as an unsung member of this village with no credibility to her name, Sadayo wasn't completely able to address the blantant insult which Senran's whole spiel spiraled into. Her poker-face facade bows to tongue-tied anger to a diminished snarl. A glare at best. Now free, the scowling samurai puppet was free to stomp to her side before its time for dismissal came. Nirami more familiar to Senran's height but the puppet's stature was a whole other game.
"This village is in a state of alert. We don't need wanderers or rogues around unless you're going to devote yourself to the healing cause. Got it? Wanderer?" Now, what she really wanted to say was something along the line of a blatant threat of injury that all starts with a puppet show, staring him. Her chest and shoulders rose with another breath.

"Oh?" Senran would turn aorund with breezy steps beneath his heels he'd slowly approach Sadayo none threateningly. Then he'd get on his hands and knees and bow before Sadayo prostrate himself in apology. "My sincerest apologies if I did offend. I'm simply saying and doing what I truly believe. People should grovel and praise their saviours." there was not a tone of mocking in his voice. The sereneity of genuine belief rolled off his voice fitting of a holy man. As he stood he'd turn around and step to the side of the puppeteer. Opening his fan and then proclaiming to all those individuals who were just regaining conciousness. Their eyes would fixate on him bearing similarities to a certain puppeteers penchant for dramatization. "TO THOSE WHO BREATHE THEIR BREATH ONCEMORE LET IT BE KNOWN THAT THIS WOMAN IS THE ONE WHO GRANTED YOU YOUR SECOND CHANCE TO LIVE. THANK HER WHOLELY AND GROVEL AT HER FEET IF YOU MUST FOR IT IS SHE OF WHOM YOU SHOULD GIVE THANKS FOR YOUR CONTINUED EXISTENCE!"
The hostages were both confused but at the same time somewhat understood what the man had said. He made it very clear that it was Sadayo that had saved them. Shortly no doubt Sadayo would be receiving the praise she desired, but having it requested by someone...did that make it worth less to her? After all, it is the unspoken praise that is the most satisfying and inadvertently with this stunt any praise she did receive here on out would feel half empty. Senran closed his fan. "I will do as you say. I will leave this place seeing as it will only bear more stress upon this villages fragile state and myself more complications. But do remember mistress of the strings. Your feelings are valid and as such should receive that validation. Always. For that is what you deserve, if that is what you desire."
He would then turn around and place his hand discreetly brushing it on Sadayo's shoulder in his goodbye to impart her another 'gift'. As his hand would glow very faintly doing so. Sadayo would then be awash with...relief? If she turned around having noticed he did something Senran was already gone. The hostages now approaching her. If the hostages thanked her now if caught under this influence. There would be no half-empty feeling. In fact Sadayo would be overcome with a feeling that the man was correct. That she deserved this praise and that at the end of the day praise was praise and it felt good. Sadayo would be given the feeling that whatever she'd do had no consequence. A sense of entitlement. A sense of freedom. The injuries the witch sustained was her own doing. She was going to live in the end so who cares how badly she had injured her. These were the feelings that Senran would Brand onto Sadayo had she not avoided the brush on her shoulder earlier...and if she did avoid it sheerly out of paranoia. She have received a friendly 'goodbye' wave.

By invoking this word those that look upon it when it glows and vanishes or is touched by it will start to feel as if a burden has been lifted off their shoulders. Used in conjunction often times with {Grievances} it makes those under its influence believe that they've done nothing wrong and similarly can do nothing wrong while similarly making the thoughts produced by {Grievances} feel small and negligible. In a blur of golden chakra, the figure appeared several feet from Sadayo. His general appearance would be familiar to her as the two had spent their youth as genin in the same village...even competing against one another. Masato, cloaked in the nine tail's chakra mode would look about the crowd as Sadayo was surrounded by people, hostages, who thanked her for whatever just transpired. "Yo. We have to move. Quickly. The village is about to be wiped from the map." He knew that she, nor the people who were standing so close would take such information lightly. He sighed, wishing that it was not his brother who brought such a terrible end to the village.
Raising his voice above the chatter and calamity going on around the people, Masato roared. " Everyone, form up on me and get ready, I can move you all at once." But could he? His Kamui was surely powerful....but to move several people at once? Hundreds? It was likely impossible. He had to appear unphased by the disaster. He had to keep the commoner's minds and spirits without despair. He closed his eyes as the masses would be given the oppertunity to merge upon his location. Roughly twenty feet remained between him and the crowd. He focused his chakra as his memory fell upon his brother once again. Sandayu was able to open gateways as though time and space simply slid apart like screen doors.The gates he created were much larger and easier to move individuals than his own Kamui was. His eyes burst open, revealing the crimson rinnesharingan within both. Each of the tomoe infused rings swirled as chakra swelled before him, pulling the scenery in half horizontally before him. As though split in half the area before him would rise from the upper half of the slpit and lower from the bottom half until a black gateway into a new area stood before them. Masato looked to Sadayo, his lip turned up... in concern as people would start moving towards the Yomotsu Hirasaka gate. He was clearly not the same boy she fought in Sunagakure. He spoke once more. " Please, protect the people. I'll be sending more shortly." he would wait for her response. Once she had a chance to speak, Masato would be off to move the next group of civilians and shinobi alike. As he waited, Kurama would actively be replenishing his chakra supply.

Deserve what she desires? The concept getting what one wants sounds plesant at first listen but she knew that train of thought requires some reflection as to how disastrous that could end up for one with a wilder mind.
Even if Senran's bow was empty it made the puppeteer feel better and with a slightly, empowered sense of pride. It was all a breath of fresh air to have someone show her praise for a change and it mellowed out her disgust. However, Senran's dramatic proclamation to give Sadayo praise easily loops her into an awkward mess with the hostages coming up to her.
The act of forming expressions a plenty from Sadayo is her weakness, to a degree. Facial queues allow her most present feelings come out and it was a mix of humble bows, pained grins, and nods. Between a bow and a rise did Senran's touch attempt to graze her shoulder and the timing wasn't in his favor. His gift would have been nice and under an ignorant state of carefree bliss, perhaps. If Sadayo had known then she might what was coming to her then she may have not been so generous with the bowing. There was sense of no enlightenment, no freedom of consequence, and the wonder of much praise she could take in one single go came to mind.
In between gratitude and commentary a bright blur popped into the arena. Her attempts to politely wave off her fanfare were without much result and missed a firm bellow that Sadayo couldn't find under the considerably literal overwhelming sensation.
The likeness of the noise she needs follows after the arrival of the bright blur. A voice shouting a demands that easily broke up the celebratory party and moves the Vortex operatives into action. Vortex likely understood more than anyone what Masato was aiming to accomplish. In the end Sadayo's celebration party was brief and ultimately broke into following Masato's instruction, granted, with some hesitation. Any means to continue ensuring one's safety was best in this risky scenario.
The last Sadayo saw Masato was in conversation with Saiko at the hospital. This was probably the first he's looked her in the eyes in years. Her returning gaze was unwavering and, regretfully, understanding of the peril she was too far away from to see. Truthfully, she had no idea how much the problem had escalated since departing to fight the witch. By the grandure of the portal Masato warped open Sadayo could only gauge the trouble must be something out of her league.
In terms of what the jounin could do, offering herself up to protect the place and people of where she could currently call home was the best option that wouldn't make her sick to her stomach. Her reply had a dignified, serious air about it as she spoke. " I understand."
She whipped her hand into the air as Nirami was dismissed. "No doddling. Go, all of you. " Truthfully, it was assuring to hear Masato is going after more people in his round-up more than it was worrisome. If there were anyone who could promise an event like this wasn't going to be repeat of a night which haunts her it would be one like him, the advantageous bloodline flaunters she still sought to out do. Boys like him shouldn't allow this event to become a day that would haunt her. Besides, she knew well that her family knew better than to allow destruction to become misery
