Her hand waved in front of her. Chakra forming quickly into an incantation circle. The two dimensional entity of her chakra expanded and would envelop the man. It would stop him from digging the dagger too deep into himself, and thus his life would be spared. "Coward." She said in disgust. The boy's body would be completely paralyzed by her chakra, assuming that he didn't somehow learn to dodge a technique of the highest caliber. "Your words mean nothing to me if you are going to throw yourself onto your blade the moment there is fault with your actions. That is not how you grow. That is no different than running away or making contrived excuses for your actions. You will live, Zahara Kavil. And you will become better." Truth be told, Chie expected Zahara to fight her vortex versus trying to kill himself. She didn't think him as that kind of shinobi. However, the dagger in his body would still hurt him greatly. Chie purposefully did not stop him from starting the injury. She only made sure with her ninjutsu that it would not go in deep enough to kill him. With that done, Chie left. Assuming Zahara did not dodge her technique or break from her intensely powerful ninjutsu, she left the college for the guards to carry him to the temple of the gods.

Technique(s) Used:

_β˜† [ Rank S ] Parastasis
____β˜… Custom technique which paralyzes an opponent or their ninjutsu with chakra, stopping it from being able to move for a post.
_β˜† [ Rank ]
____β˜…
____β˜…_
β˜† [ Rank ]
____β˜… Description Goes Here

Technique(s) Active:

_β˜† [ Rank ] Shadow Clone
____β˜… At the Academy
_β˜† [ Rank ] Shadow Clone
____β˜… At the office
_β˜† [ Rank ]
____β˜…

All jutsu learned are available to teach.

Passive Effects:
_β˜† Korabo S-ranked
___β—‹ Able to use Korabo up to A-ranked with herself.
_β˜† Electric Resistance Training
___β—‹ Negates harm from own lightning ninjutsu
_β˜† Ninjutsu Alchemy
___β—‹ This technique allows Chie to passively Korabo two jutsu together. The limitations of this are as such. First of all, the technique works passively only up to one rank below Chie's current Korabo level. This means that if Chie's Korabo level is A-ranked then it can only be used at a B-ranked potential, which means that Chie can only Korabo two B-ranked techniques to use the korabo skill at A-ranked. This assures that this benefit does not allow the user to passively perform techniques one rank higher than they can usually. Second of all, this technique only applies when Chie korabo's with herself. If she korabos with an ally or a clone then this benefit is non-applicable. Finally, an additional charge of 10 chakra per rank of the final product technique is required to be paid. So if the user Korabo two B-ranked techniques, (the user must also pay for each individual skill), then the final technique would be an A-ranked skill, and thus would cost 50 more chakra to perform this way. Overall this technique's only purpose is to make Chie more cool by utilizing all of her elements and having them combine into super cool ways like a wizard should.
_β˜† Hidden Mist Vision
___β—‹ Sees clearly during hidden mist technique, or mist in general.
_β˜† Fire Resistance Training
___β—‹ Negates harm from own fire ninjutsu
_β˜† True Belief
___β—‹ The user has meditated and trained long enough in this monk art to understand how important true belief is. By understanding the power of the spirit over the mind, and the mind over the body, the user has increased their stamina by sheer will power alone, as well as increased their toughness and durability. Increases Stamina by +25 for every style mastered.
_β˜† Enlightenment
___β—‹ Meditation and spiritual exploration and understand yields interesting results. Due to the greater understanding of the self, the user is more aware of the connection between their mind, body and spirit, and how to utilize that connection. The user is now slightly more skilled at just about everything. Striking, blocking, moving, absorbing, and taking damage. The user's strength and fortitude is increased heavily.
_β˜† Impact Resistance
___β—‹ The user acclimates to using the cestus in a battle setting by pounding away at a training dummy with the cestus. By analyzing the feedback of different forms of strikes, the user finds a way to minimize any damage they may take from their own strikes. Upon completing this training, the user suffers no recoil damage from techniques from any non-Rigorous Taijutsu or Bukijutsu Style up to either the highest trained rank in this Style or the highest trained rank in the Hard Physical Formless Style, whichever is lower, and does not suffer damage from striking anything harder than their fists.
_β˜† Focal Point
___β—‹ The user meditates through combat, taking time to narrow their focus to their Chakra pathways. In so doing, they become innately aware of when they are being observed in combat, and can pinpoint the locations of anyone below their rank observing them within one meter.
_β˜† Thread Walking
___β—‹ By using Chakra to focus the mind, the user becomes able to balance enough on thin platforms to use Bukijutsu techniques without any penalties. Covers only balancing on solid structures at least one inch wide, not moving or unstable structures. Also allows the user to balance and move on wires during its activation.
_β˜† Advanced Thread Walking
___β—‹ he user is now able to both run and fight while balancing on threads and wires without penalties, though doing these things at the same time is widely regarded as infeasible.
_β˜† Blessed Rain
___β—‹ The user's informed of the incoming costs of what is to come, and as such, must practice their chakra control through controlled bursts from various parts of their body. Their chakra pool is increased by +35.
_β˜† Insight Rain
___β—‹ The user will practice extending themselves into the atmosphere, in a sense. After much dedication, the user develops the ability to sense hostile intent in the immediate area. As to where, however, they cannot be sure.
_β˜† Torrential Blessings
___β—‹ Having completed all that the user may learn, they have but one task left to complete: the user must practice controlling the flow of chakra, and be sure that their control is the finest that it can be. By doing so, they must repeat the exercise performed earlier with Blessed Rain, all the while, they perform technique to the brink of exhaustion. This training receives no reductions. Chakra pool is increased by +65.
_β˜† The Task of the Next Generation
___β—‹ Upon the master of the school of Shigure Souen Ryu, it's the user's responsibility to develop the next generation! The user is granted one [1] custom slot usable only for a personal Shigure Souen technique.
_β˜† Basic Endurance Training
___β—‹ The user practices holding any stances they know in the most extreme weather of their region, as far from anyone else as is practical. After completing practice, the Stamina costs of X-Rank techniques in this Style are reduced by 5, down to a minimum cost of 5.
_β˜† Extreme Climate Resistance Training
___β—‹ The user spends a great deal of time completely immersed in the most intense weather the region has to offer. Following this training, the user does not suffer from adverse climate effects. Additionally, using one or more of the Pi, Qua, and Quan techniques in any combination increases the user's fortitude slightly for one post, to a max of one [1] descriptive rank per trained level in the Soft Physical Formless Style.
_β˜† Advanced Endurance Training
___β—‹ The user practices holding any stances they know in the most extreme weather of their region, as far from anyone else as is practical. After completing practice, the Stamina costs of techniques in this Style are reduced by half if the practitioner has used the same technique at some point in the last two posts.
_β˜† Pi Qua
___β—‹ By repeating the transition between the Pi and Qua techniques repeatedly, the user becomes able to perform them quickly enough that starting with one and transitioning into the other only consumes one action for the post, and also cannot be interrupted if the first hits.
_β˜† Pi Qua Quan
___β—‹ After learning all other techniques in this Style, the practitioner runs through them all again, stringing them together in the longest combo they can. Following this training, the practitioner finds themselves capable of using all techniques in the Style up to the highest learned rank of the Soft Physical Formless Style for 10 less Stamina, to a minimum of 5 Stamina.
_β˜† Acclimation
___β—‹ The user acclimates to moving in their armor by wearing it during normal daily activities. After completing this training, the user can move in any armor as though it were properly fitted for them personally. This provides one descriptive rank in strength and fortitude to techniques using the armor per stage learned in this Style.
_β˜† Shifting Position
___β—‹ The user practices their art by moving across a shifting surface--such as sand or mud--with their armor. Following the completion of this training, the user becomes significantly harder to topple while armored; all incoming techniques that would move the user are treated as one rank lower in strength when determining of how far the user is moved, and the user can no longer be toppled by techniques lower in rank than their armor.
_β˜† Knight's Blade
___β—‹ The user studies and acquaints themselves with the many different types of defensive armaments, from shields to armor to defensive items like the forehead protectors that Shinobi Villages use. In the process, they become able to apply any armor techniques to protective armaments and vice-versa.

His choice reverted as his byakugan caught the signature of Chie's chakra around him. He thought more heavily as he only grinned again, amused from the statement as he coughed. 'I've ran away once already, how's a second any different?' He thought now as he realized, his chakra network was in disarray from Chie's chakra. 'Interesting. Very interesting.' His analysis of the paralysis left him perplexed both on its application and the intent of just what she had intended. Even a move drawn on himself, he began to ponder on the inconvenience on his action there. That would lead to some... inconvenient matters for sure. "Well this is awkward." He uttered with another grin, straining his breath again. "Suppose y'all can do your job." with a laugh, he looked at the masked ones and after the kage as she left. How much he'd pay to read a mind or two would be substantial.

                                                Very interesting indeed.

Chie went straight into the deepest, most secretive area of the library. It was reserved only for the most elite ninja in this village. She knew what she needed. A seal which would allow her to bind a demon's power. That demon host who came to her building had the three tailed demon. Therefore, she needed a seal which could bind the force of a odd tailed demon. Chie read the instructions. It wasn't going to be a fun ride. She was going to make mirroring seals on both the person she planned to seal it into, as well as the demon itself. Boy was that going to be a ride. Still, she got the information she needed. Now it was time to go check out that earthquake.

Missions done it was back to training for Coda, this time in the depths of the College's library. Hopefully here the librarian would be at least unflustered enough to not mutter to herself the entire time. The young woman's training didn't exactly focus on the books though. By her nature there was little she could learn in here, focusing on her inborn abilities as she did. It was quiet, however, and her Yozen technique were not quite as destructive as her Yoton. The two paired together well. For her first set of new tricks, Coda studied how to disrupt normal jutsu, unique creations, as well as change their color and materializations.
[ Yozen no Soutou: Canon, Customs, Chakra's Color, Chakra's Materialization ]

Next up was messing with peoples fears. Like a genjutsu, but not quite the same thing. She moved on to implants after that, though she'd never met someone with an actual impact so the usefulness seemed dubious to her. The other two techniques were a little bit more, well, nebulous. She'd likely find a way to make them used to, but there wasn't anything she could think of at the moment. She'd expected to need a bit more time training, but she'd accomplished what she need to so there wasn't much else to it really.
[ Yozen no Soutou: Fears, Impantation, Will, Strengths ]

The last set of techniques were the most intriguing to Coda. They involved the direct manipulation of her tattoos using the Yozen no Soutou's techniques. What was more, on top of expanding her ability to store fuuin in her tattoos, she could even empower other people with something similar. Finally, her new slate of techniques would allow her to turn her piercings and other body modifications into seals.

Back to the college again, this time for some transcription. It seemed that the college had a running stack that had only gotten bigger with the destruction of the office recently. She supposed it was reasonable to be slightly paranoid following the destruction of part of the village. [1/4] The first item on her list was an old report. Per rules she had to keep everything secret, and that wouldn't be terribly difficult here. The report pertained to the details of a diplomatic mission on which, from what Coda could tell, literally nothing happened. [2/4] Of course, there was probably some kind of code contained in it. To that end she meticulously recreated the faded text. s**t wasn't going to roll down hill to her on that account. [3/4] She wrapped up her transcription and carefully stowed the original back in its airtight container. She wondered what they'd do with the original, but didn't linger to find out. The faster she moved from one task to another, the faster the tasks got completed. [4/4]
[ Transcription III ]

The next item on the list was an old report on an actual fight. It'd been damaged by fire at some point, but most of it was still legible. There was, however, worry about the scroll's long-term material stability. [1/4] This one was actually an interesting read, which was a good thing. The fire damage was a little more intensive that she'd been led to believe. The other one had been a simple 1:1, it was just old. [2/4] This scroll would require a bit of filling in the blanks. Or, rather, a bit of completing parts of burned away words. The fire had scorched quite a bit of the report, leaving Coda to recreated it. [3/4] A tall task, to be sure, but not outlandish. It took a bit longer to finish than the first, but the young woman diligently finished her work. She turned it in and stopped to ponder whether she should take another. [4/4]
[ Transcription III ]

Coda decided against calling it a day just yet. There was work that could be done, work that would open up access to more training. Might as well make a strong first impression, with the emphasis on strong. [1/4] A very damp shipping manifest was the next item dumped into the Genin's lap. Apparently these important documents, even though that was a dubious claim, weren't free from the dangers of being knocked into the sea by overeager students at the docks. [2/4] By far the most laborious part of the task was peeling the pages apart without ruining them. They were dry enough to come apart from each other, but the wet had rendered them extremely fragile. To that point Coda quickly realized she'd need to translate them to another medium ASAP. [3/4] Waiting and attempting to organize and make sense of them first just risked their integrity. Aside from that there was little to pique her interest there. She didn't much care what was coming in and out of the village, nor did she have any interest in why the college cared. [4/4]
[ Transcription III ]

By far the most interesting restoration project yet was handed over on the return of the shipping manifests. This was less a restoration, or preservation, and more a reclamation. Specifically it was historical accounts of the transition of the nations. [1/4] These particular ones pertained to Konohagakure, of which Coda wore a symbol. Mostly a collection of personal diaries and journals, this was the first of the projects that the genin found intensely interesting. Accounts from real people, not their warring a*****e statesmen and military. [2/4] One in particular recounted harrowing details of fights across the old ninja village. A battle of power that brought the village to its knees, and eventually to ruin. It was terrifying, but as Coda transcribed the words they stirred in her a sense of determination. [3/4] Not to fight back a massive invasion, or face down a powerful foe, but to do everything she could with her abilities to prevent the unheard people of the villages from being subjected to terror like had befallen the Leaf. If that meant getting stronger and championing their cause, then she was eager to take part. [4/4]
[ Transcription III ]

Coda was about to check out to go train, when the archivist offered up another transcription. They'd gotten to talking about where the genin came from, and the woman had recognized the area from one of her documents. Normally nothing like this would be available to look at, but it was one of the few things recovered from the recently destroyed office. [1/4] Coda cracked the tube opened with skepticism, producing a badly torn document. Her eyes widened at the date, a rare state of surprise washing over her. The document recounted a mission gone wrong in the outskirts of relatively new Uzushiogakure territory. A group of shinobi, rebelling against what they saw as a power grab, hunkered down in a small town. [2/4] A team of four had followed there, and the ensuing fight had leveled the settlement. Several people died, including the people who Coda had previously known as her parents and an Uzushiogakure shinobi. The report minced no words that it had been the "rogues" who escalated the fighting and set fire to the town as they attempted to flee. [3/4] It also, however, plainly stated that the village's aggressive stance on the pursuit of the fugitives could not be excused in regards to the cause of the destruction and the loss of life. At the bottom it was signed in what amounted to chicken scratch, "Sumika of the Iron Sand". Coda bit her lip and hurried away from the library as soon as she was done, ignoring the questions posed by the archivist. [4/4]

Coda tried to take her mind off what she'd just read by delving into personal research. She'd come up with a pair of theoretical possibilities regarding her Yozen no Soutou abilities that she needed to test out. Luckily, the college offered perfect spaces for that. They were relatively discrete, thankfully, and Coda wrapped up her work quickly and successfully. Two new jutsu in her arsenal, especially two unique ones, would provide her with an even better way to show she deserved the attention that no one would give her.

User ImageExcluding doing actual missions, little advanced one's abilities quite as efficiently as study. To that endeavor Coda was committed fully. As such, she was back in the college, transcribing text. [1/5] Today's assignments mostly revolved around high level, and restricted access, jutsu. Not necessarily secret, but things she didn't have clearance to learn. In reality, most of it was stuff she couldn't actually learn, so it didn't really matter - likely she would only be cleared for jutsu that she had no proficiency in anyways. [2/5] First up was a large scale unsealing technique. The old scroll described quite a complex process, and its age suggested it was brought over from one of the past villages. Likely Konohagakure, as it was the village that merged most willingly into Uzushiogakure. [3/5] There were also quite a few mentions of something called jinchuuriki, a concept that was entirely foreign to Coda. She made a mental note to study, or recall, the importance of that word and its relation to sealing. Most of the details were lost on her. While she was relatively capable when it came to sealing, this stuff was beyond her admittedly straightforward uses for it.[4/5] The text on the scroll suggested it had been seal for an extended time and potentially exposed to moisture in the process. There was significant bleeding that should have occurred, as well as transfer from one side of the other. Of course, it was also possible that this scroll had been made even before modern techniques, and that this one dated back years into the past. [5/5]
[ Transcription IV ]

The next technique was not simply restricted, it was marked in a manner that suggested it was forbidden, restricted access knowledge. Coda resisted the temptation to treat it as some kind of special prize. Still, she couldn't entirely suppress her interest.[1/5] Flying Thunder God, a technique that was, according to this scroll, legendary. Of course, hailing from basically the middle of nowhere, it was no legend of any kind to the genin. It didn't, however, take much reading to find out why it was so vaunted - and so closely guarded.[2/5] Flying Thunder God lived up to its name, allowing the user to zip from point to point instantaneously. The scroll described other uses of the technique as well. In some cases it would be use to transport enemies to a location, or turn their jutsu back against them. [3/5] The real meat of the scroll, the part that likely had them transcribing it from what appeared to have been a paper marked as belonging to a different village, was one of the most complex explanations of sealing theory that Coda had ever come across. It must have encompassed at least half a decade of dedicated study of the form. Clearly, this technique was the work of someone with not only a gift, but a will to exploit it.[4/5] Part of her was jealous she'd never have the time or ability necessary to master something so obviously brilliant. Another was glad she hadn't poured in the necessary time to understand all of that technical nonsense. She put both the thoughts out of her head, focusing on the task at hand instead.[5/5]
[ Transcription IV ]

The next text was another high level sealing technique. Triple Rashomon, a relatively uncomplicated technique that required an otherworldly amount of chakra control. Capable of stopping something called a biju in its path. [1/5] In this case, the scroll was simply old and worn out. As far as the genin could tell, someone found the technique valuable and simply wanted to preserve it from basic book rot. Not as scintillating or revelatory as a report on a mission, but still important, she supposed. [2/5] To her surprise, about halfway through, the scroll all but came in half. This was, honestly, a bit more than she expected. Though, she supposed, it was obvious now why this particular item was part of the pile of transcription requests. [3/5] She couldn't help but wonder what exactly had caused this particular state of affairs. Was someone surprised in the process of reading the scroll? Perhaps they dropped it and panicked. [4/5] At the end of the day, it was irrelevant to the actual process. Coda simply put her head down and went back to work. She had a lot on her plate, and there was little time to waste pondering. [5/5]
[ Transcription IV ]

Transcription truly was a thankless job. No one here would ever share Coda's accomplishments with the rest of the village. There was no glory to be earned in writing down words. [1/5] It did, however, earn her knowledge and support a community resource. True, most people wouldn't ever get access to this stuff, or care about the jutsu she moved to new media, but there was a chance they would. A chance that something in these scrolls that meant nothing to her, was a key to uncovering a past abuse - as the report she'd found was for her. [2/5] The ledger she currently transcribed was a perfect example. To an accounting illiterate like Coda it was a maze of numbers, figures, and notes paired with indecipherable jargon sprinkled around. To someone in the know, it could hold ample information of how they were screwed over. [3/5] It could save a job that should have never been lost, catch a person who thought they'd gotten away. Hell, it might even be able to weed out a hidden conspiracy. These thoughts propelled her through the tedium of the work. [4/5] If there was any potential that sitting here and pouring through stuffy, broken tomes would help, then it was worth the effort. Even if she had to deal with a paper cut every once in a while. She knew she hated mathematics for a reason.[5/5]
[ Transcription IV ]

Coda had to stop her eyes from glazing over as she moved forward with more transcription. She had a high tolerance for it, but at some point it all ran together. Reports mingling with descriptions of jutsu, crossing with ledgers and aged history tomes.[1/5] If she didn't have a supreme determination to continue, she would have fallen asleep hours ago. She suspected this was why the task was delegated. Far less disruptive to the image of the library if a young shinobi was found drifted off to sleep in the middle of work. [2/5] Well, that and the old people around the village who had failed to pick up a reasonable hobby probably needed the distraction. The alternative would be running around and telling kids they were delinquent all the time. [3/5] With that in mind, maybe she should stop. At this rate there would be nothing for the grouchy little old lady she occasionally crossed paths with. More likely she was overrating her productivity. [4/5] After all, she was prone as she was now, to spacing off on long internal diatribes. A good break for the brain, to be sure, but hardly constructive to her ends. Speaking of which, one more down on the endless list and she was weighing her options.[5/5]

Dibbles came flying onto the college quite literally lile a bat out of hell. There was NO way he was going to spend time with that crazy woman whenever she got like however she is now! Not after he got yelled at so cruelly last time! He would just have to hide out until she came back to her senses that was no way around it. Aha! Luck be a lady tonight for one small little creature today. One of those human caves was just ahead and it looked like there was an opening just for him! Zooming right on through without so much as a thought of who might be on the other side, the little bat slammed right into the shoulder of one black haired girl going mach one. After stumbling to pick himself up dibbles looked terrified at the girl with only a little squeak to say in his defense.

Ferrah came running up to the building with her bright red Sakkakugan active. It if hadn't been for her doujutsu she would have lost his trail already, it's just a shame that her legs couldn't carry her fast enough to catch up now that she lost him somewhere on the college campus. That little punk will be the death of me! How can he always so easily tell when I switch? It's not like I give off a different scent or anything. At least that she knew of anyway. Eyes scanning around the outside grounds Ferrah called out trying to coax the little bat out. "Dibbbbbbles! Where are you little guy? Come on Dibbles don't be silly and make me summon you."

User ImageYou know that sensation you get when something completely unexpected happens? That lightness in your chest, like it's going to float right out of your mouth? Coda's transcription was interrupted by that. Then, as quickly as it came, with a desire to return what she was certain had been a jutsu based prank or torment on behalf of one of those Academy kids. What she found when she looked around, however, was the same completely empty reading nook she'd been sitting in for a couple hours. Except, it wasn't completely empty anymore. A squeak alerted her to the culprit behind the impact with her arm a moment later. Her face was one of bewilderment for a second, before a voice drifting through the window broke her out of the absurdity that was silently trading stares with a bat. "Dibbles, I take it." She said, glancing around cautiously before scooping the bat up and plopping it into the center of her little library cubicle. "Whatcha runnin' from, Dibbles?" Of course, she didn't expect a response. It was a bit crazy to talk to an animal to begin with. But hey, the bat was more interesting than some dusty, worn out book. Plus, if it was some kind of lost pet she might turn it in for a reward without doing any of the normal searching or catching.

The little bat gripped his new friends hand tightly in fear from the sudden movement but settled back down once he feet hit the ground again. One would think it would be embarrassing for a bat to show fear at moving quickly through the air considering their flight capabilities, but Dibbles always was the type to wear his heart on his sleeve. Mostly because of how he was babied for his entire young life.

Big brown eyes looking up at his friendly captor Dibbles gave the equivalent to a 'bat smile' along with a joyous squeak at hearing his name. It was clear from his body language of tiny dances that he understood what was being said to him, but alas he lackes the proper tongue to be able to express his desires to the black haired girl. Eventually realizing his tribal dances were getting him nowhere the small creature resigned himself to a slump of of exasperation and pointed with his wing back out to the window.

Ooh that little butthead is going to make Lahlil sick if she finds out what happened! Refusing to play his little games Ferrah bite her finger and used to blood in her hand seals to perform her summons. In moments a massive brownish bat, easily the size of a house, appeared from thin air. His claws struck the ground with such force from his weight that they left small cracks in the pavement. First making sure that she didn't do long lasting damage that would get her yelled at Ferrah addressed the beast of a creature. "Would you please call your brother Dar? He won't come to my calls." The large bat slowly turned his pointed head torwards Ferrah as if waiting for her to finish. Oh blast it! What was it Lahlil always does again? Oh right the ears.. Extending a hand with the kind of confidence that only someone who was close with the giant could have, Ferrah scratched behind his big triangle ears like a puppy.

If a lolly tongue wasn't enough of a sign of his satisfaction then she didn't know what was. Lifting his head to the sky the bat let out a dreadfully piercing screech that would undoubtedly be heard by all as it rippled through the stone and glasswork. Of course it caused no damage to people or otherwise, instead serving as sort of a 'get your a** over here NOW' for any bats in range.

User ImageCoda's head tilted to the side, eyebrow arched as she tried to make sense of the bat's antics. "So, something's chasing y-" The genin was but a moment into trying to piece together some form of an educated guess when a screech pierced her ears, to which she quickly clapped her hands. Covering them did little though, as the wince inducing cry was already well over by the time she managed to respond. "Yeesh. So, you're hiding from whatever that was. Can't blame you, honestly." Cautiously Coda peaked out the window, Konohagakure headband around her neck plinking ever so slightly on the sill as she tried to keep as out of sight as possible. Her eyes widened as they fell upon a bat that looked easily capable of eating her alive, maybe even in one bite. They'd been taught about summons at the Academy, but this was the first she'd seen more than one Dibbles' size. This was, well, not how she expected that to happen. What in the world was going on? Had they been attacked already? She knew there was unrest but this seemed quick. No, why would the bat be running from... unless Dibbles was... "You're a contract summon." She said, barely audible under her breath. "A summon... running from another summon, or its summoner?" The look of confusion was back as she set sights once more upon the little bat. This all added up, kinda, but it made for more questions than it did answers. "Uh, I don't think I can outrun that."

The moment Dibbles heard the screech he knew his time was done. The human might have been unable to understand but Dibbles knew all to well. 'You know better than to run from Lahlil! Get back here NOW Darlagdan.' There was no arguing with big brother Anton. Quiet in thought little Dibbles nodded in acceptance of his fate to his new friend. The only problem now was that he didn't have his survival instincts to push him to fly anymore. Instead trying to hop up and get Coda's attention Dibbles continued his game of charades. First wiggling over to gnaw a little piece of paper off and ball it up, Dibbles acted out carrying it down some steps and handing it off. Hopefully she could understand that he wanted her to carry him down better than his previous dance because there was just no way he could crawl down from this height! Even just thinking about it made his little body quake with fear. With big puppy dog eyes he made himself as cute and possible and lifted up his wings expectedly.

User Image"Right. Probably better to not make a scene out of running from a house-sized flying attack dog." Coda said as she watched the charades. Plus, it did cross her mind that there might be something rewarding about this particular situation. While she could have taken the window, the genin figured she'd spare her little friend's obviously frayed wits and use the stares. Once more she scooped him up, dropping Dibbles into the hood of her jacket and pulling it tightly closed to keep him from falling out. They emerged from one of the big, arched doorways a moment later, and Coda found herself with an immediately more significant impression of just how large the other bat was. Were she not caught up in the moment, the idea of giant creatures roaming around might have actually filled her with a sense of dread. It was just such a foreign concept for someone from the middle of nowhere. Big jutsu and a big city, that stuff you heard about, but this? Maybe when your mom wanted to make sure you came home on time or stayed in bed. "Lose something?" Coda called out, doing an admirable job of hiding the fact that she didn't want to come much closer than the path in front of the door, well at least in her voice that was. The big bat was cool, but it also wasn't hers so she'd keep her distance for the time being. She wasn't becoming dinner because she spooked a summon

While her demeanour wasn't particularly threatening it was sorta of her nature to be paranoid and closed off to people, espically when they stop to yell at her from across the yard. Taking her time to respond and simply look the girl over Ferrah weighed just how much she wanted to reveal before decided it would be best just to tell the truth. She wouldn't want her to steal her prize through some misguided intentions. "Yes actually. A little black bat. He's my.. well that's not really important, what is important is that I find him." Extending a hand to dig in and scratch Anton's fur as he shifted back and forth anxiously. "As the bat sage it's my duty to watch over all of them." Ferrah nodded to the house sized bat before continuing again. "Perhpas you'd be willing to help? I can offer a reward for my gallant heroine of course." Ferrah smiled well pleased with herself. If the girl was anything like herself she knew she would jump on that bit. There was nothing like a little personal gain to get one's blood pumping.

Upon arrival, Charvalla turned to her companion with a hungering stare in her eyes. "Race ya to the finish!" she challenged. "First one to learn everything on their plate owes the other lunch!" With that she was off like a damned tidalwave, headed right for the ninjutsu section with a large blue water kanji over it.

She took a scroll for the lower ranked jutsu she could learn and sat down with it. She didn't have an extremely large memory, so what she could learn would have to be important. Her natural affinity for the element meant that she had an innate understanding of all the ninjutsu in the suiton list: she was a wayfinder after all. Everyone in her homeland could use suiton to a degree and she was no exception. There was also the matter of fuuton, which she had to run allll the way to another section to begin the pathway of understanding of. As she tore into it she found that it wasn't as unintuitive as she imagined it would be at first. In fact, she found herself enamored by it. When she could handle more she'd definitely be back. As for genjutsu, she would have an easier time remembering those. She wouldn't know if it worked by feeling or hearing any of it however, which would make things difficult but that was neither a real problem nor something that she would give the time of day. She had something of an inborn confidence given to her by her father and mother. She imagined some of this would be quite annoying for enemies to deal with. Inwardly she wondered who came up with all of this. For that matter, how did anyone, even non blind people, know when they succeeded in using a genjutsu the right way? Regardless, she found it all to be useful. Combined with her sensory oppression and general need to beat people down, genjutsu could be a useful tool for the hybrid caster. In continuing, fingers idly traced over the dots that formed the braile she was reading in case I didn't make that clear before, and she learned every single one of the skills easily enough. She was too smart for basic things like these to take her any REAL amount of effort to handle. Sensory techniques preyed upon the senses, naturally, and even without traditional sight the young sharkygirl had no real problems grasping these techniques. Before long she was getting up to find her way to where people were practicing their weapon techniques. With her natural affinity towards weapons, she was very eager to get started, and did so with the skills she would need to master the greatsword. It was hefty, and she really didn't look like the type of girl who could wield it, but at the end of the day what was appearance anyway? She practiced all manner of motions with it, ranging from basic swings and stabs to more advance maneuvers that slightly tired out her arms. She worked with weapons extensively during her time back home, and she had no reason not to put the time into learning the proper way to fight with it under a practiced style and not just with basic inflections, such as how she would be if she went about tossing it around now. When she'd done enough with that to be assumed to have better than average knowledge, she moved on to using the bow and arrow. Something about being a powerhouse of sensory awareness AND being able to knock down targets from far away agreed with her heavily. She would need to scrounge up enough dough to, uh, buy the arrows but that would come with time. For now she focused on slotting arrows into their proper targets one after another. She had to do a lot of practice, and as the day droned on she, slowly but surely, abosred a substantial amount of understanding. Particularly, her sensitive ears could listen and plot courses for arrows on the fly much more precisely. The whistles as the points sailed through the air towards her target were like swansongs. The thud of those arrows hitting the wood, splitting it, splintering it apart as so many before had told stories of the very integrity of the wood. Arrows were far more powerful that shuriken and kunai, and she hadn't really ever stopped to consider why, or how much the difference in draw strength and her arms could factor in. Nevertheless, she transitioned again, wiping a bit of sweat from her brow, and dragged a scythe behind her to the fray. Once upon a time her "idol" had weilded one of these back when she worshipped the one called Kortal Khan on the mainland. So much for that now. Her arms flung the scythe to and fro. Within a few minutes she was comfortable with much more precise and grand motions. It was so odd to be so in tuned with weapondry like she was. A scythe? What was the real difficulty that she had felt when reading the warning that she might delimb herself or something. She didn't feel it as the weapon responded to her willful acts. Eventually, she reached what felt like a plateau, and gave herself a second to breathe. Her pa and friends back home would be proud, and that drove her to continue to grow stronger.[Stance of Drawing, Full Draw, Tracer, Quick Knock, Hawk's Eye, Arrow Creation, Multitasking, Two Shot Spread, Wailing Specter, Crouching Stance, Distance Creation, Stance of the Farmer, Kari, Sotogake, Karekusa no Kamae, Tsujikaze, Topuu, Kan no Kamae, Satsushobun, Katsuramuki, Ju Suto, Soin, Sasu, Houyou no Yochi, Saidai Shinpuku, Hiki, Nibui Sutoraiki, Greatsword Formless, Scythe Formless, Bow and Arrow Formless.]

She got up, and went to do the last little bits of learning that she had to do: her inborn powers. As far as Kaznen'na clan stuff went she was going to have to do a bit of studying since her mother hadn't come along with her, but that didn't take too long. Soon she was working on the skills that came almost the easiest to her. Manipulating sound was far easier than people ever gave credit for, whenever someone started doing it, and mixing wind into the kit only made her a better fighter. Disabling opponents was one facet, and tracking them was another. But her biggest interest currenly were the offensive skills. She was a simple girl, after all, and on that note on to learning her Hoshigaki things which she was much more well versed and comfortable with. It was less of a chore than the rest of the day's workings. Some things were to help her close distance, others were so she could more easily beat down on her foes. One skill was even something similar to the Kanzen'na techniques. And it had a cute name too. Gang Orca would probably be a consistent one for her usage. But with that, the day of intense training had come to a close, and she was as close as she had ever been to her ultimate goal of being ready for whatever had brought the God's to her island to send her out to grow in the first place.
