Cross glared at Adelaide, looking around him at each of the bursting flares. Each time one burst, the heat would resonate with his electromagnetic field and give off an electric surge, causing him to erupt with lightning for a moment, until the magnetism of the spheres he'd produced would begin to draw in the heat from each blast, causing the metal to expand. This would make him smirk. "You're not without talent, but you're leagues away from my craft. Until you can overpower my phonons, you have no hope of winning." He'd then look to Dethblade, another glare shot his way. "Aren't you going to make a move? IF I magnetize that cross behind her, I can rend her flesh."

Dethblade looked up at Cross for a moment, then looked to Adelaide. "Both heat and sound can be manipulated by magnetism via the elemental phonons they are composed of. Cross is counting on your hot temper. This will be a battle of mana...whichever one of you can maintain their powers for the longest stretch. Furthermore...we're not yet aware of the favors he can call upon." As he spoke, Dethblade would move his hands to construct two massive ports under each cross, allowing them to fall in. They'd then exit two more portals behind Cross, causing him to begin to magnetize to his own metal fixtures.

Cross would turn to find his cross behind him, one repelling and one exerting polarities, causing him to feel tremendous pressure against his EMF, and along with the bombardment of heat, the EMF would begin to flicker. "Damn you both! Damn you Damn you DAMN YOU!" Cross roared, the two metal spheres transforming into two red-hot scythe blades spinning in place, each one launched at each opponent. He then removed the magnetic properties of his crosses. "Can you maintain that heated fury forever, woman? And can you keep summoning portals for an eternity, freakshow? Because my power...mana as you put it...comes from the world HERSELF!" As he yelled, several metal crosses would begin to rise up all around them. It was clear, however, that Cross was using a great deal of energy to perform his feats, whereas Dethblade had barely moved an inch.

Cross narrowed his eyes as Adelaide spoke, then took a good look around. She wasn't lying; this place had been forged in fire. He'd give cocky chuckle and hold one open palm out, keeping it aimed on Adelaide. "Tell me something, woman: how valuable is this hospital to you?" After speaking, the spinning blade that had missed her would return, aimed for her one more, spinning fast enough to make a high-pitched whine.

Dethblade knelt down and place his hands on the ground, causing a massive electrical, purple burst of lightning forming a large circle in front of Kain, and from the center would rise a wall of stone for the blade to collide with. Dethblade would then stand and catch the clip, examining it for a moment. Then he heard Cross mention the hospital. "How dare you..." He spoke while forming a portal. He'd toss the clip in, the exit of the portal being behind Cross. Having done as instructed, he'd then begin to draw a transmutation circle on the wall of stone.

Cross felt an incredible pressure in his back, one of the thermal rounds hitting his EMF HARD, and had he not turned ever so slightly in time to look at what was assailing him, he'd of been hit in the same spot rather than his side. Another HARD hit to his EMF, causing it to blink out for a moment, though it would soon appear again. A definite sign of the fundamental flaw to his EMF. He'd end up falling to the ground gripping at his side, glaring at Adelaide. "...you hear that, Dethblade? She cares nothing for the hospital." He muttered with a wide grin.

Dethblade would finish his transmutation circle, then begin he trek between the two main combatants. "A world of Darkness that wreaks of Light; a forge of infinite swords that never burns. Frozen wasteland of frigid fire where only the dreaded may tread, show me thy path!" Once the final word was spoken, the ground beneath the three would change, and in a instant the three would be transferred to a pocket dimension where sword after sword after sword littered the ground. The violet twilight sky was covered in ethereal clouds that hid what seemed to be enormous floating clocks and gears. "Now the hospital is safe. We can fight to our full potentials here."

Cross looked around at the shift in reality and blinked, then looked to Dethblade with a grimace. "Where are we?"

"My Hell." Dethblade responded. He'd hold out his hand and summon a sword into his hand, one made from a synthetic non-metal polymer.

Cross would take control of several swords, creating a barrier around himself with them, as well as warping two of them into metal spheres, and then into the spinning, whining blades. "Electricity. Heat. Sound. These are my servants. You two are formidable, I will admit that. I wish you two would agree to sell to me your debt. Is it such a fiendish idea to be in debt to someone like me? With power? With riches? With everything one could ask for?" He'd then look to Adelaide and smirk. "Think of all we could accomplish together, with you as my concubine!"

"Releasing Controlled Restraint. Level 10: Confirmed. Level 9: Confirmed." Dethblade spoke, his aura becoming sickeningly pungent and heavy as each number counted down.

Cross noted the heated swords and sighed. Then, all at once, he noticed the swords turn inward. He immediately magnetize his field and the swords as much as he could to repel them, in the end managing to buy himself enough time to move out of the way before being skewered from every direction.

Dethblade, hand risen in the air palm face-up with fingers bent inward, as though he held up a fruit and crushed it. "Control Restraint Level Five deemed sufficient; 50% nanomachine usage permitted. Furthermore..." Dethblade remove his mask and tossed it to Adelaide. "Put that on." For the first time yet, he'd crack a smile. "I promise it smells fine." He joked. "It'll protect you from any sonic distortion, and allow you more precise aim of your flames. Let the mask do the targeting for you. Plus...you'll sound pretty intimidating with that temper."

Cross scowled and transformed the spheres into 7-point chakram, each one whirling about an resonating a high pitch screech. He'd then launch one at each opponent against before pulling either more orbs from his coat, one between every two fingers.

Just as the whirling black was about to touch Dethblade, it would stop, wiggle, and burst in a cloud of smoke, dust scattering through the air. Dethblade would then begin advancing on Cross. "Sadist Cross, the shamed mage outcast from the Crossfeld family. Personally? I prefer Alchemy. Adelaide, attack him with everything you have. I'll support you. Allow me to demonstrate." Quickly slicing a transmutation circle into the air. The moment before the whirling blade would come back around to try and hit Adelaide again assuming she dodged the first time, it would turn to dust just as before.

Cross grinned ear to ear as she let out the yell. "Give up now and the pain can all go away. Otherwise...you'll be searing shredded limbs all night!" He yelled, noticing the mask. He'd then look to Dethblade, curious as to why he'd so willingly forgo his mask - his identity, to help another while putting himself in peril. And then he noticed it: the smile on Dethblade's lips as he whispered something in a foreign tongue, using multiple swords to weave multiple transmutation circles - on his erected metal crosses. With a scowl, Cross would target Dethblade. "PHONON SUR-" Before he could finish, the blue fire would erupt around his arm. Granted his barrier would probably save his arm, he'd find his clothing burned away and flesh seared. He'd let out a frustrated roar mixed with a great deal of wincing, trying to dodge the blue flames as his barrier reacted. He'd in turn pour more power into the EMF, causing it to erupt with visible electric surges. Lucky for him, he'd do this in time to notice the blue flame beneath him, though it would force him to direct a great deal of power to his feet, leaving him exposed when she super-heated the air. Feeling the rapid shift in climate, he'd grit his teeth and hold out his tattooed arm while darting about to try and avoid the air. "212 degrees; do not take me for a fool arrogant woman! COME GUARDIAN!" He'd shout, a small girl appearing in front of him. A tattoo would disappear from his arm while one metal sphere warped into a set of chains, binding the girl. Cross would keep her directly in front of him. "Keep up that fiery spirit! I want to see just what you're capable of!" The girl looked absolutely terrified, obviously not privy to the situation.

Dethblade looked up to the girl and glared at Cross. "...unfortunate." He'd launch a sword directly at the girl, attempting to impale them both.

Cross would of course stop the blade, transforming it into a metal sphere. "I'm not exactly surprised that you'd attack an innocent." He'd then look to Adelaide with one hell of a stare. "What about you, Adelaide? Can you do it? Can you risk burning this girl alive for no other reason than to achieve victory over me?"

Dethblade looked to Adelaide as well. "We can win this. He's hiding behind his final trump card, and while it reflects upon his name as Sadist Cross, you must realize that in battle, there is no honor. Don't hold back; that girl fell into service with Cross for one reason or another. This is, unfortunately, her own doing." Dethblade would then point to the girl. "Grant her the ultimate mercy and free her from his service."

"What of her family? Her friends? Does it not concern you who this girl is?" Cross grinned, then focus on the mask Dethblade had given her. Taking control of the metal mask, he'd attempt to fling her backward.He'd also attempt to cause a magnetic disruption in the glowing sword she held, causing it to attract to her mask. Finally, he'd use one of his metal sphere to create a knife, forcing it to slice the flesh of the girl's cheek, causing her to let out a scream."Each time you come at me, the Princess will be harm her...Princess, cease using your glamor. Show them the price of wisdom."

"Yes...Lord Crossfeld..." She spoke quivering.Her skin would emit a faint glow, then cease, showing burn marks and slices across the majority of her flesh, as well as one blind eye.

Dethblade's eyes grew wide and filled with black, short of a violet ring in each eye. He'd burst suddenly into a murder of crows, more than seemed possible to be comprised of. Many would begin to harass Cross, while others flew behind Adelaide where Dethblade would reconstruct, catching her and immediately teleporting the mask off of her head. More and more of him burned away while in her heated presence, the nanites instantly regenerating him. It was excruciating, but he wouldn't so much as wince. He'd clap his hands together, causing a burst of energy, then grab Adelaide's sword, the bones of his hand visible,covered in silver nanomachines. He'd remove all the metal properties from the blade, replacing them with synthetics. "Adelaide...I ask you, please; do not kill the girl.IF she were just some ordinary girl I would have no qualms, but he refers to her as Princess. I cannot afford to go to war because some nation's princess was murdered in battle. But the day will come when my word will be absolute. Remember that."

Meanwhile, Cross would deal with the god damn birds that seemed to just kamikaze into him and reform, only to do it over and over again. There blows stung, something he felt was odd, as well as the fact they seemed to pass right through his now upgraded EMF, nor did they attack the girl which frustrated the hell out of him!

Dethblade remained silent for a moment, then summoned a sword into each hand as well as cause a ring of several swords to begin circling him. He'd look to the "Princess", then to Cross. "This is an unforgivable trespass." He spoke. He'd raise one sword into the air and cross the other over his body, then immediately and simultaneously bring the raised sword down and swing the crossed sword at Adelaide. She didn't know him well, but the black in his eyes would of been a giveaway to friends and foes of old that something was amiss with him, particularly the uncharacteristic blacks in them...especially as black veins began appearing from the corners of his eyes. Furthermore, the crows attacking Cross would now aim for for Adelaide, each ethereal crow meant to strike at one's aura and cause direct damage to their energy rather cause damage. Finally, Adelaide may have taken note that the "Princess'" eyes and Dethblade's both shared the black orb quality.

Cross smirked. "Well done Princess, as always." He spoke while panting heavily, the heat around him causing him to sweat like a whore in church.

"Your hair is on fire, Mr. Sadist. Maybe a cleanse?" Said the Princess, whom now had the demeanor of a happy little girl as she starred directly at Kain. "'Cause burnt hair smells like butt."

"Phonon Arte: Cleansing Circle!" Cross exclaimed. Nothing much would seem to happen, though his hair would be extinguished and his EMF would seem to burst out with an angelic humming noise.

The Princess giggled, then went back to focusing on Dethblade. "Don't let her hurt me again...please Mr. Dethblade?"

"NEVER AGAIN!" Dethblade shouted as he battled Adelaide.

As Adelaide came charging at him, he'd furrow his brows and leap backward, but not in time to avoid the heat of the blade. His eyes would go wide as the fire swept across the "Princess," causing the chains on her to sear her skin. She'd let out a wicked shriek and wince while Cross ripped the chains from her, taking the girl into his arms instead while transforming the chains into spikes, shooting them at Adelaide. "How bad is it, Alice?"

"It hurts...it hurts really bad..." Alice cried, wanting to hold her burns while at the same time scared to touch them. "Please Crossfeld, heal me...?" She'd plead.

Dethblade would attack with the full force of his being, though the first strike would be blocked he'd use the second sword to thrust at Adelaide's throat. He'd stop mid thrust however, his eyes returning to normal. He'd again burst into crows, reforming several meters away from Adelaide. "There is nothing I loathe more than having my mind invaded. You have my apologies, Adelaide."

Cross nodded his head to Alice. "Of course, just hang in there!" He'd look over his shoulder at the duo, then back to Alice. "You lost control of Dethblade? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" Cross yelled, shaking Alice.

"I'm sorry! ...concentrating...I can't..." She winced, the shaking only hurting more. "Please Crossfeld, have mercy!" She begged. It may not have been easy to see, but her tears were more out of fear of failing Cross than the burns.

Dethblade watched the two, then looked to Adelaide. "What do you wish to do? I'm more than happy to kill them both, though I must admit it seems a waste of good talent. Who knows when the girl may take one of us hostage again. I'm fortunate you distracted her."
