Zephyr could pull at the shadows but they hardly budged. His power was there, but it felt frozen, like the shadows refused to move at this time.
There was some talking in the hallway, some voices sounded a little familiar but it was hard to pinpoint. The door slid open and two males entered the room, a blonde short hair, blue eyed male who's jacket was unbuttoned, and another blonde hair male whos hair faded into a darker auburn bordering on almost magenta in very certain light, his hair tied up into a loose bun and a blue scarf around his neck and brown eyes. These two, Zephyr could easily recognize as Zaku and Keese. They were laughing about something when they entered, moving over to their respective lockers and getting out their book bags for class and changing their shoes. After a good moment, Keese looked over at Zephyr curiously and Zaku's gaze followed suit. Zaku waved, "New here?" he asked before he saw him in front of Ree's open locker and tilted his head and looked to Keese with a questioning look. There was a long silence before Keese got up and moved to exit but Zaku stopped him.
They looked at each other for a moment before Zaku smiled, "It can wait, we have class. We will talk to her at lunch." he spoke softly, only a faint hint of warning at Keese despite his smile.
Keese hesitated then nodded. "...right.."
Zaku then looked to Zephyr. "My name is Zaku, and this is Keese." he introduced them. "What's your name?"

Closing his hand when the shadows didn't move, Zephyr sighed and just sort of tried to figure out what to do. While he wasn't completely useless without them, it was still something he had learned to rely on quite heavily, more so the use of shadows. Looking up when the door opened, his stomach turned into a pile of knots as he saw Kees. Swallowing hard, he watched Zaku and Kees go about their business, though as Zaku finally introduced himself and Kees, he nodded a little.
Clearing his throat, he smiled a bit, "Zephyr." he said simply, trying to keep himself composed. Whatever this world was, it was something that clearly messed with the time as well. If this was the location of the Twilight Stone, then it was some place that could lead to the realm of spirits - but what was this place? A purgatory? That didn't make sense, the last he heard, Zaku was alive and there's no way that with that bounty the news wouldn't be talking about his death...

"Nice to meet you, Zephyr." Zaku smiled.
The bell rang and Kees tensed, taking out his phone and looking at the time.
"First bell." Zaku announced.
Kees looked at him in alarm. "Second."
Zaku blinked, "Oh.... s**t. We have to go. We're going to be late and Hexxis won't be happy about that." he frowned, and waved Zephyr to follow. "Hope you can keep up." he grinned.
Kees was already bouncing impatiently in the doorway. "Come on." he insisted then took off running into the hallway, toward the stairwell.
Zaku laughed and took off after Kees.
Kees stumbled down the stairs, already out of breath by that point as Zaku jumped the railing and let himself fall down to the next floor, rolling as he hit the ground running, clearly enjoying himself as they made down the hallway and slid into the classroom C-1.

Zephyr nodded his head, "Nice to meet you too.." he stated, though he added an 'again' mentally. Looking over to Kees, he smiled a little awkwardly, though as the two had a back and fourth, he watched for a moment, but when he was ushered to follow them and keep up, he rolled his eyes. "I miss my shadows.." he mumbled to himself as he took off after them, trying his best to keep up with them. While he wasn't new to the whole 'free-running' thing, it had been far too long since he even needed to. When you had the ability to shadow teleport, it was just easier to do that.

As the two guys slid in to the class, they found their seats and laughed, albeit a little out of breath. As Zephyr entered the class, he almost ran into the black hair girl he saw earlier, except her hair was down this time, and she blinked with a very faint surprise. She eyed him and looked over at the other two. Her eyes were a little different now in color, her red eye looked more brown in the daylight now, but her heterochromia was still there with her other eye being blue.
"We weren't running in the halls. We swear." Zaku snickered.
She looked at Zephyr accusingly, seeing if he would say something different. He looked just as out as breath as them.
Other people were congregating into the classroom, some familiar faces and others lost on him. Among these faces, was Alice, Blaise, and Kira. A few people were eyeing him, while others appeared oblivious to the situation, just going on about their day.

As he skidded to a stop before running into the girl, he nearly toppled over onto her, "Oh sh--- I am so sorry." Zephyr said quickly, though as he was looked at accusingly, he just grinned sheepishly, "I tripped down the steps and it knocked the wind out of me.." he attempted to cover up his running the best he could, and considering that he still had the bandages around his arms - even though Hexxis had seen him not that long ago, he was trying.

Zaku was snickering in the corner as a few others began to softly stifle laughter.
"Looks like someone has a crush..." Blaise teased a little.
The black hair girl gave a glare to the orange-haired girl and then looked to Zephyr. "Take your seat, class will start soon." she spoke with a bit of harshness as she motioned to one of the desks, her voice sounding nowhere near as monotone or emotionless as it did earlier.

Zephyr continued to smile at Hexxis, "Oh - Could I ask you some questions during lunch?" He asked her as he moved towards his seat. He had so many questions to ask about the Twilight Stone and the wishes - not to mention how all of this was set up, and as it stood, Hexxis was the only one who didn't threaten to kill him about it. Yet.

The girl looked at him with surprise then appeared to blush a little. "....I'm sorry, what?" she stammered then looked back at the others, as if she had been put on the spot. "I.. I guess?... I would suggest asking the Student Council President, but if they are more personal questions.. I.... I guess I could answer them..." she sighed. "I had been meaning to ask you a few questions myself anyway..."
There was some 'ooo'ing from the students as she glared at them. "It's not like that!" she defended and sighed. "We will talk during lunch." she clarified and moved to sit down in the second seat closest to the door.
The door to the classroom opened and a very familiar figure walked in. Oblivion. His amber colored eyes and dark purple, almost black hair very prominent as he walked in with his book bag slung over his shoulder.
The black hair girl got up and approached him glaring at him then pointed to the clock.
"I'm not late, Ms. Heart." he spoke smoothly.
"I know that, but where is Hexxis?" she demanded.
Oblivion chuckled, "She's right here, right my love?" he motioned to the door just as Hexxis walked in, looking the exact same from earlier even with her hair still being up and almost an exact copy of the girl he had just been talking to with her hair down.
The tension in the room stiffened the moment Hexxis entered, her blank unweilding face scanning the students for any absentees. Oblivion walked over and slung his free arm over her shoulder and gave her cheek a soft kiss. Hexxis didn't entirely react to this until after she had finished making sure everyone was accounted for before she returned the kiss on his cheek.
Melody cringed. "You know that's against the school ru-.." she didn't even finish her sentence before Hexxis gave her a challenging glare. Melody hesitated then sighed, putting up her hands in defeat. "Hexxis, we have a new student. His name is.... uhm..." it was then she realized she didn't have his name.
"Zephyr Kardos." Hexxis answered for her, her gaze settling on him.
Oblivion looked at Zephyr then at Hexxis with a not to happy look. "How do you know that?" he asked.
"The teacher told me this morning, it is my duty as student council president to see to his needs and make sure he feels welcome, is it not?" she flickered a glance at Oblivion.
He frowned with a displeased look. "I suppose you're right..."
"Then there is no issue." Hexxis paused. "There is no need for jealousy if that is the case." she assured.
Oblivion gave a smirk and gave her one more kiss. "Nah, I believe you... You've never given me reason to question your loyalty." he commented, giving a slight glance to Zephyr before moving to take his own seat right behind Melody.
Hexxis would obviously be seated in the front nearest the door as it was the only empty seat left. Melody leaned forward and whispered something to Hexxis and Hexxis seemed to think on it then nodded and whispered something back before the teacher entered, the bell rang and class began. Melody spent most of the class looking a little troubled after speaking with Hexxis.

Zephyr looked a little confused by the girl not being the Student Council President, though he did go to his seat, still trying to figure things out.
Though, when Oblivion walked in he had to resist the urge to bolt - they had killed the damned malice - he had the scar to prove it. Or, well, had the scar, he didn't know if he still had it now in this strange body. Looking confused when the girl - who he had thought was Hexxis asked where Hexxis was - he felt a pang of embarrassment. Melody. She was Hexxis' twin - but they had never looked that similar before, was it because of them being much more human than not?
The color drained from Zephyrs face as he heard Oblivion - his own hated Malice - call Hexxis his love. No no no no no, this isn't right... he thought to himself. He would need to talk to Hexxis - and not Melody - alone. Which was going to be difficult without his powers.

The class passed by boringly, the drone of information that never even seemed to stick, he likely wouldn't even remember what subject was taught or what the teacher even said. None of that mattered. But all the while, the students were attentive.
After some hours, the bell rang, and it was time for lunch. Student began to leave the classroom, Melody however got up and moved to Zephyr. "...let's..get this over with..." she mumbled, not keeping eye contact out of slight embarrassment for earlier. She looked at Zephyr. "Shall we talk over lunch, I'll buy you something.."
Meanwhile, Hexxis had gotten up when Oblivion moved to her and said something to her, she nodded and proceeded out as they were holding hands as they just exited the classroom.that one halfling Please roll a D20 in your response.

Zephyr looked up and nodded, "Yeah sure, that would be great. Honestly - I did confuse you with Hexxis there - I met her this morning and I had a couple things I wanted to clear up with her." he looked rather distraught, if anything hurt too from seeing Hexxis with Oblivion. "Is there anyplace quiet we can talk? I know that I confused a couple people when I asked them earlier with something and I'd rather like to mitigate any further embarrassment." he stood up a little and stretched, glancing over to Melody and giving her a sad little smile.

Melody looked flushed with embarrassment. "....we don't act anything alike...." she mumbled but sighed. Then there was a flicker of confusion, "...wait, you met her this morning?.." she asked then nodded. "Yeah, I know a place." Melody moved out of the class, waiting for Zephyr to follow, she went to the cafeteria, ordering some food for the both of them to take somewhere else.
When they entered the cafeteria, Hexxis was sitting with Oblivion, he appeared to have his arms wrapped around her as she ate and was writing something in a notebook without ever looking up. But it did seem like she was discussing something with him. When they made their way back to exit, Oblivion and Hexxis had left.
Melody lead him to a clubroom and went in, as it was empty, and by the signage and the content of the room, it was used to hold meeting for the student council. She set down the food and moved to sit, offering the other chair to Zephyr. "Sit." she insisted and offered the other food to him. "How are you feeling?" she asked with a bit of concern. "You were pretty banged up last night, I didn't think you'd live, but it doesn't even look like you're all that hurt now..." she commented with a smile. "...if you have any questions, feel free to ask me anything..." she paused. "And if earlier was any indication, I obviously don't suggest you go after Hexxis, her boyfriend is the super jealous type... he won't have you asking her out or anything." she mentioned with a sigh as if that was a whole other story for another day.

Zephyr still looked a little upset that Oblivion was with Hexxis, but sighed a little bit and shook his head. There was no use being angry about it now - he had no idea what this world was or how it functioned. Following Melody about, he sort of zoned out until she told him to sit.
Sitting down, he looked at the food then looked back up at Melody, "Wait - were you the one to find me last night?" Zephyr asked, looking confused, though when the topic switched to Oblivion, he made a face. "I just feel like I know him, is all, like from another time or something." he tried to use that sort of phrasing before trying to even divulge that he wasn't originally from this... time line? World?

Melody ate a couple of bites of food then nodded. "Yeah... you were beaten up pretty bad just outside the front gate. I know we aren't supposed to leave, but I didn't want to leave you out there to die. I brought you to the nurses office and bandaged you up. Sorry I left you there overnight, I had... some things to attend to, but I figured you would just sleep the night away, and it looks like you're all better now." she smiled a bit, and took another bite of food. Listening to him talk of Oblivion, she tilted her head. "Another time? What do you mean by that?" she leaned back in thought. "Maybe you're mistaken him for someone else? We aren't allowed to leave the grounds.... and if you lived out there, then there really insist any possibility you've met before, right?"
