June 2018 Academy: Social Studies Freshling 1. Student randomizes between 1 and 23. The number rolled is the race they get. 2. Student thinks of a defining trait from the race they've been assigned. 3. Word count minimum is 50 words! 4. ??? Profit!
Username: Hobo Pixi Student Name: Devorah
Number Rolled: 20 - Naga
Defining Trait: Serpentine lower body
Devorah had to admit she hadn't really thought much about the defining traits of other races. Selecting her number at random, she soon discovered her pick was for a Naga. The young Grimm girl's eyes widened in consideration. Hmm.. she began to write down her answer. The main feature was their serpent-like lower body and the texture of their scales! Even she knew that. Beyond that she would need to read up on them more...but she figured it was a good start and still answered the question. She analyzed the textbook about them, adding details about the fact they didn't actually have legs like herself.

Username: Hobo Pixi Student Name: Kaia
Number Rolled: 23 - Dolls
Defining Trait: Ball Joints + Wires
Kaia wiggled excitedly, this was a different kind of assignment. It celebrated the differences races could have. Kaia had a Bakeneko AND Baphomet sibling along with many other Grimm's both blood, and by being brought in. She was very open, and accepting of other species and found it interesting to learn about them. Getting to draw her number, her eyes widened as she looked at the Doll for her number. She began reading about them, as she did not have any experiences with Dolls. They were apparently created! They had ball joints and were made up of wires. Kaia looked curious as she tilted her head, they healed like normal...but first generation dolls didn't bleed. That sounded complicated!

June 2018 Academy: Social Studies Junior 1. Student randomizes between 1 and 23. The number rolled is the race they get. 2. Student describes the rolled race's courtship behaviors 3. Word count minimum is 100 words. You may not directly copy/paste from the race page. 4. ??? Profit!
Username: Hobo Pixi Student Name: Juro
Number Rolled: 21 - Chomp
Courtship Time!: Juro felt his cheeks flush darkly as he listened to what the lesson would be about. Fidgetting a little..he secretly wished he had gotten perhaps one of the many hybrid races Natasha was...but he would read up on that after he finished his assignment. Despite the blush blossoming on his cheeks, he opened his book to read about Chomps. He was surprised to learn how forward they were with their courtship. There was no real ritual, or special way of going about their courtship. They were simply blunt, and to the point. Juro wasn't very good with that..and had to admire their open, honest policey. He usually kept things like that to himself. He could relate to the bit about loyalty, although he wasn't sure he would be as easy going about being rejected. He sighed softly.

Username: Hobo Pixi Student Name: Cerise
Number Rolled: 5 - Dryad
Courtship Time!: Cerise looked considerate as she was assigned her topic to study. She hadn't thought a lot about other races and their courting methods, so this would be interesting. Dryads were not a race she was as familiar with. Deciding to read carefully over them as a generalized information source, she found it cute they would make crowns from the location which they hailed from. The tradition seemed enduring. She admitted she was a fan of crowns, hence her shirt and hairpiece so the fact they made them was cute to her. She could understand why they would reach out to a more modern source for a dating app. It was never easy dating, and having the ability to reach out to someone from anywhere was an incredible modern marvel.

July 2018 Academy: Social Studies Senior 1. Student randomizes between 1 and 23. The number rolled is the race they get. 2. Student describes the rolled race's Family Values and/or Customs. 3. Word count minimum is 100 words. You may not directly copy/paste from the race page. 4. ??? Profit!
Username: Nashawryn Student Name: Georgette
Number Rolled: 19 Shades
Family Values: Georgette stood up, holding his paper in front of him to easily read his report. “Shades are usually in a small family unit, because they have a fear of being persecuted again. They believe that if they keep their numbers low, they can uproot and flee danger quickly. Pure Shades share a mindset that family units should not imbue more than once. They also believe that it should never be more than two stones from the imbuing. The children from such an imbuing will be raised carefully, and the entire community will help keep an eye on the children. Shades consider family to be extremely precious and any threat or danger to their family unit will provoke them. Shades can and will adopt someone into their family, believing that family is built on other things besides genetics. Friends adopting each other as siblings tends to happen eventually. Some family units struggle to accept one of their own however, if said individual adopts someone from a race that is not Shade or Chomp. Those individuals may even be shunned, out of fear, for bringing in foreign races to a family unit. Shades lean towards monogamous relationships with only one partner, as they tend to be prejudiced against poly relationships.” He tucked his paper in his folder, then sat back down in his seat.

Username: Shaddaling Student Name:Jess
Number Rolled: 6, Baphomet
Defining Trait: (RP Response) Baphomet are easy to tell because they have hooves and cloven hooves at that. They are sort of cute and they can kick really good. Kirin have hooves too but they only have one horn when Baphomet have two that usually curl. Sometimes four horns but not always. Baphomet's tails are short and fluffy and they can't do anything with their tails. So you can tell pretty fast if they are a Imp or a Kirin or a Baphomet by what their horns, tails, and feet look like. wc 88

Number Rolled: 14 = Chimera
Defining Trait: Ears
Amon quietly slipped into the classroom and promptly took his seat. The Bakeneko's tail swayed, twitching side to side as his ears perked slightly, before resuming their droopy natural state. When the teacher told him what the assignment would be..he quietly drew a number at random out of the collection.
His brows furrowed in consideration as he got Chimera. Hmm.. he decided to write about their ears! They were different than his own and looked pointed with a bit of ruffle. Smiling Amon looked pleased with himself for coming up with an answer so quickly.

Defining Trait: Wings
Elijah hummed as he padded into the room. The shy boy's gaze flickered around the classroom, picking out a good spot for him to settle in...more or less settling in a seat with another beside it unoccupied, all so he could reserve with his bag a spot for Ashe to sit.
When it was time to work on his assignment, he was selected to review Chimera's. Pursing his lips he considered what to point out. It was cool how their tail was long, and not fluffy like his own races!

Username: leon_a_darkangel Student Name: Aodh
Number Rolled: 14 = Chimera
Courtship Time!: Passionate and dramatic about love and relationships.
Aodh sat down with a sort of grumpy little huff noise as he exhaled. His eyes narrowed on the front of the class. He wasn't in a particularly good mood as he had trouble sleeping. The hybrid's Grimm tail flicked back and forth in an agitated fashion. It wasn't like he really had any particular goals or ideas in mind for what his senior year would be like. His clawed fingertips drummed lazily on his desk, half-assed listening to his teacher.
Reading about courtships, he chose at random. Love seemed like such a joke...he regarded the material with a disinterested expression. Chimera's apparently were intense lovers, and very passionate and dramatic. It was weird to think that families arranged marriages with pairs and triads sometimes...was that really normal for their culture? He couldn't imagine his adopted family marrying him off. It made him chuckle in fact.

Username: leon_a_darkangel Student Name: Chandra
Number Rolled: 8 = Geist
Courtship Time!:
Chandra was still somewhat in a blissful, happy daze. How could they not be! It was easy to feel like they had just been given the greatest gift all the Nine could offer them. So why did they need to come to class to study other races courtship rituals?? Chandra silently groaned but did not make a big deal about it. The faster they got through their Junior year the better.
Pouting, if only slightly Chandra was selected to look up Geists. Glancing over the reading material, the Imp actually looked a little surprised. Geists traditionally would take, and leave gifts for each other. It was a friendly way of pranking and showing interest in the other. She pursed her lips, making note of it for her as signment..before quietly looking up information about Baphomet, as that was perhaps an insight into their Elliah's culture.

Username: iMoony Student Name: Hazan
Number Rolled: 13 - Kumiho
Defining Trait: Kumiho are most easily identified by their tails. Unlike most races, Kumihos have no less than two tails. I've seen usually three-tailed ones. I believe even hybrids that contain Kumihos have more than one tail. So if you see someone with more than one tail, you're probably looking at someone with Kumiho blood.

Username: irishgirl1017 Student Name: Milseain
Number Rolled: 21 Chomps
Defining Trait: Milseain was happy with the number she rolled. She had seen several of this race and was intrigued by their tails and their size. One she saw was to her a giant, had to be 1000 feet tall! She knew this was not correct so she read up on the race and found out they can grow to 8.1 feet! That is tall, and another trait is they do not wear shoes due to the size and shape of their feet makes running hard they must look funny when they do.

Defining Trait: Hoping to get any other race but her own she was pleased she rolled a 14 which was Chimera. She loved the wings, they were so pretty! Reading up on them she found out they were very skilled fliers able to remain in the air for a long span of time. Also interesting was the fact their wings were leathery and hard to damage.
