In reality he just didn't have any friends.

"How do you just sort of start out a knight?" That wasn't how this this all worked, no so far as Baikal had been told or seen. You started at the bottom, and you worked your way up. It was linear, it made sense.

"I...purified?" He slowly narrowed his eyes. "Do you not know you can purify a Negaverse agent into a knight? We're the same thing." They. They were the same thing. Damn. He really needed to stop doing that.

"I didn't know that," but he wasn't exactly surpeised by that. Or at least didn't find it unbelievable. He'd never thoughtthete was that large a difference between the multiple sides of this war. It did sort of explain why this knight seemed so weird. Might explain the weird feeling Baikal was getting from him. "Why did you purify?"

As if that wasn't suspicious as ******** like what?" It wasn't quite demanding, but the Page's tone was certainly pressing. Not that Gevudan had any need to tell him, but Baikal was uneasy and curious.

Pale brows dipped. "Did you like refuse to follow orders or something?" He didn't want to say, it was obvious, and he certainly didn't owe the page any sort of explanation, but the evasiveness of his responses were intriguing.

My, aren't we a bit cagey all a sudden. It was suspect as hell, and not in the least bit reassuring. Baikal's gut was telling him that this knight was just all around bad news, and he was inclined to believe it. It seemed to him that if he'd been running for his life because he hadn't wanted to do the energy drain thing that would have been really easy to just own up to, but he didn't want to say. So what did you do to piss off Metallia, Gevudan?He didn't think he'd answer, so he didn't bother to ask. "Uh huh," he agreed mildly, letting out a breath as he turned his wrist and glanced down as if he could see the watch he usually wore there. It was probably getting late. "Listen, I should get going. I've got an early morning and a patrol to finish."
