Rory looked a bit disappointed when the attack from the Misdreavus missed. If it had hit, he might have been able to see Storm get really mad. It didn't happen too often but it was quite a sight to see. "Let's not end this too quickly, Storm." he commented drily.
Flexing her claws, the Sneasel looked ready to rip into the Misdreavus despite what her trainer had said. Glancing at Rory, she growled irritated. Instead of charging like her instincts were telling her, she would begin to try and Leer at the Misdreavus. Intelligence wasn't exactly a big deal for a pokemon like Storm who relied heavily on her instincts. So far, her abilities hadn't tried to lead her astray...at least until now.

The Minun hit the ground with a loud crack once he was hit with the Pound. Lying unconscious, he was bleeding profusely onto the ground. A red light surrounded the pokemon as he faded away. He was alive...though barely. It would seem that the battle was over and the pokemon and her trainer were free to leave!

- Battle Information - [Garnet the Misdreavus counters with Icy Wind!]
It seemed the male trainer was more confident than he had a right to be, as was his pokemon. Her grin finally had some amusement behind it as her opponent's mercy left the sneasel far more open than he could have intended. "Big mistake," the girl commented before motioning towards the dark type. "Another icy wind!"
Finally the misdreavus had something to giggle about as she blew another frosty breath at the sneasel. This time, there wasn't any chance of avoiding the chilling winds. After all, there was a reason parents told their children not to play with their food.
The boy's feet would tap lightly on the ground as he approached the battle room, and stopping outside he would look at the place. This was the place of dreams and nightmares, and the boy snickers lightly ...Yeah right.
No one knew what nightmares are, but, wait until he get ahold of enough power. He would show them ...he would show them all....what a real waking nightmare is.
Raising one hand upwards, a shadow would circle overhead as with a flurry of feathers and powerful wingbeats his partner pokemon would land on his outstretched arm. Flapping once, twice, and a third hard time to settle herself she would sit backwards and look over at her trainer with a croak.
"Yes, it's time for our song to play...our melody that will consume the world starts now."
The pokemon would shift every feather as if in anticipation as they would both take their first steps on their path to conquer the world. Their first step into the heat of battle as they enter the battle arena.
[4-1] + 5] + [9-8] = 9/2 = 4.5 rounded to 5 DMG! Storm 9/14 HP remaining! Storm fumbled! -1 to all attack rolls!
Several cuts had appeared over Storm's body but Rory did not seem concerned in the least. He shrugged for a second before glancing at the Misdreavus. Maybe the pokemon was stronger then he had initially thought? No matter."Storm, under the bridge." he stated calmly.
The cuts on her body weren't that deep. She came from the mountains after all. Snow, ice and wind was very common there. Blood dribbled to the ground but it wasn't all too visible on her dark fur. Instead she took a claw and licked at a cut, a quick dip of her tongue before grinning darkly at the Misdreavus. Upon hearing Rory's command, she frowned but ran straight at the Misdreavus. What was going on? She would keep running, gaining speed as she pushed as fast as she could. If she was lucky, despite whatever attack the ghost pokemon would use, the Sneasel was planning to slide directly under the floating pokemon to avoid the oncoming attack!

Looking upon a trainer accompanied by a Ponyta, the sluggish boy in the coat placidly stared upon his supposed opponent who brought up upon the choices he was given. To be honest, he wasn't very keen on training in general. He mostly shut himself in his room, sitting in front of a computer to entertain himself with programming and knowledge on the internet. Staring at the Vullaby wobbling on the ground and holding herself steady, it's obvious that he doesn't even know that this pokemon can even fight."I'll be frank to myself, I don't know anything about battling, so it would be great to learn the ropes. As you can see, I only saw battling in videos. Please do enlighten me." The mellow tone of the male student rang with exhaustion in his voice, as his icy gaze stared at the bird pokemon that was crowing away with determination.(I can fight!) Shouted the Vullaby, but it seemed that her eager spirit only buffered off from the young man who stood there fidgetting with his phone, searching up any moves that a Vullaby could learn so he wasn't completely clueless.
A male in a trench coat calmly stepped out of the shadows. The boy was mid teens and he lifted his face so that the new trainer could see how blank and empty his eyes were, a dark abyss from space. Another day, another battle. Barely glancing at the child's Murkrow, the person would pull a single pokeball out of his pocket. "Would you like the tutorial or just skip straight to the battle?" he said in a monotone voice.

"Dangnabit, I guessin' we betcha teach youse right proper."
The boy would declare as his Ponyta would stomp his hooves as he glares at the Vullaby and neighs loudly.
(You should know your own limits. Your trainer is a newbie, you can't fight.)
The ponyta would tell the bird as his trainer would pull out a revolver from his side halter, and point it at the Vullaby. Pulling the trigger twice, the back of the pistol would display a screen with the Vullaby's stats and moves.
"Techno do hicky take too long, in battle, tha' first to strike is tha' one with tha' fastest speed. Mine and yonder pokemon speed tha' same, so we both attack. It's tha' surest shot that win in that case." "Ya understand, oh bother, let's just do it youse git tha' idea."
"Ponyta, use tackle."
The boy would declare as the Ponyta would rear up high in the air on it's hind hooves before diving forwards in what seemed more of a charge than a tackle.
{Both you and I attack in this case, since our speed is the same. The battles here generally work turn based with two phase, one phase you attack and the next you defend. Using any moves, is considered a attack.
So in this case:

Now, to determine which attack hits, is based on the dice roll...it's a one 1dice -20sided roll. The biggest number wins.)
Remaining calm and quiet, the young boy stood there on his side of the stadium while lifting his steely gaze from the screen of the phone, hanging on to the instructions of his opponent where they had called out an order for their partner like second nature. He did remember that whenever the battle got heated, a lot of the trainers called out their calculated moves to their pokemon in such a dramatic and fervant manner. Did he see himself doing something like that? His eyes fell upon the hopping Vullaby that looked at him expectantly as the Ponyta charged for her. "Oh, right. I am grateful to you for the easy instructions to follow. Fell, use Scary Face." He uttered in a dull tone, watching the eggshell wearing bird flap her wings eagerly and turned around - flaring her wings in the air as her bead gaze suddenly turned a bright, devious red to try intimidating her equine opponent.
The boy smiled darkly at the blank face. These were the types he lived for ...as he would bring Atiena closer to him.
"What kind of question is that? This is the battle arena, of course, I want to go straight to the battle."
The boy would then throw his arm outwards as he force the Murkrow to take off into the air as in the same movement he would sweep his arm behind him to pull something free of the case that was on his back. Like drawing a sword he would pull out a electric guitar. Now how he managed to power it, and how he kept it attached to his back was something that would be hard to understand in that moment as he would start to run his fingers down the strings.
The melody coming out ..as his pokemon would fly around and around in a circle to the beat as though she was waiting for the music to start as well as it finally got past the Intro.
"Go cry go!"
The Murkrow would drop down swiftly as she seemed to aim her beak at her opponent as the boy would go back to the introduction melody after those words. Each beat in the song would quickly be followed by the swiftness of her beak as she used peck.
The move took the Ponyta completely by surprise as the tackle was brought to a complete halt as the pokemon put all four hooves into the ground to stop it. His eyes huge as he dance backwards shaking his head as though he was trying to get the memory of the Vullaby's face out of his mind.
Such a cute pokemon just a moment ago, somehow it's face had gotten so scary that the Ponyta was literally shaking a bit as he prances back to his trainer.
"No problem, just being neighborly with the instructions...though you might not be needing much from me. Tan my hide, ya turned my Ponyta yellow belly. Interestin' but those sort of moves won't end any battles, I reckon', so no harm' no foul. Anyway, in these kin' of cases, thin' work a bit different from norma'. Youse attack work, but mine, my pokemon he took the damage, so it's our turn to attack again and youse will be the one defendin'.
"Try to avoid our attack, and don't be expectin' any mercy."
"Let's show him our power, use Horn Drill."
The Ponyta would seemed to be a bit unsure about attacking after that Scary face, but his trainer would catch his eye. It wasn't a matter of flaking out. His trainer didn't train no yellow belly pokemon, and thus with a snort, the Ponyta would lower his head. He would paw the earth as though he was eager for this charge, though in reality, he wanted to turn and run away. Flaring his nostrils, he would charge as the air current around his arm would seem to swirl giving the horn the appearance of actually spinning like a drill as the pokemon drove forward with his head down.
(So, if the speed is the same, and your attack is successful your attack turn is over.
You will immediately go to defensive phase/turn, so once more you are using the 1d20sided, but now, you are trying to avoid my attack.
Your pokemon cannot use any moves during this turn otherwise they will be taken as an attack, so you have to be creative in how you have your pokemon defense itself.
Now the move that is being used, Horn drill, works differently than most moves. So, it's always a good idea to check your moves at the Information Center to see how it works. In the case of Horn drill, if my roll is greater than yours by more than 10, the one-hit K.O will work, and the battle is over.)
Watching the flaming horse pokemon turn tail at the sight of her horrifying expression, Fell brightened up as she cupped her gaping beak with her wings. She turned to look at her trainer who looked as placid as ever, still trying to figure out if he was eager and excited in this battle like she was. The boy was busy concentrating on the words of his opponent, taking mental notes in his head filled with varying information like an age old archive. He only gave a nod towards the baby vulture pokemon, then turned his gaze towards the other trainer in the room. "I see. I'm learning quite a lot from this, no need to be modest with your level of instructions. Fell, now try to dodge." He ordered calmly, watching the bird pokemon panic and began running around the stadium due to the menacing attack charging her way. (Oh my Arceus, oh my Arceus! My legs aren't like a Doduo for this! Good bye cruel world!) The Vullaby squawked while dashing around, fluttering her wings to make her feel like she was running faster, but it wasn't like it was doing much.
The attack would miss as the pokemon's flaying around would be enough to make the very direct charge miss. The Ponyta would fly by as it's horn would tear up the ground as his trainer would shout out.
"Oh for tha' love of Betsy! Ponyta watch youse flank, and keep up your runnin'."
The boy would call out loudly before looking over at the boy with this Vullaby. His Ponyta would seem to pick up speed as he headed directly towards the boy passing by him on his right ...and towards the far wall at full speed. Not wasting any time, the trainer would yell at his challenger.
"Wha'cha waitin' on...the cattle bell? It's youse attack, and this time use one with some umph, not'cha scary face. Besides' youse pokemon would only be glarin' at my Ponyta's bee'hind."
He chuckles a bit at that one.
(My attack failed. There need to be a differences between our roll of 10, and with mine as a 9...and yours as a 5 ...it failed. Now, it's your attack phase and my defensive phase. So chose your attack, and then roll the dice. I am going to introduce something else to you after this phase.)
Holding up his phone, a little snap went off to take the memoir of his Vullaby flapping away to the side while the destructive power of the Horn Drill tore away at the ground where his bird pokemon was previously standing at. It was to capture how this attack was executed by pokemon, which was always nice to keep around as reference for the future. A small grin was given under his scarf that was wrapped over his mouth, while his soft stare looked upon his pokemon pat her chest with her wing in relief. "I apologize, I was simply captured with awe from that sheer power of your Ponyta's attack. I won't tarry too long, no more glaring contests from us either. Fell, use Gust." He mellowly instructed his Vullaby who reared around and began swiping the air with her blunt looking wings. Before her, a small gust began to take shape and headed towards the direction of the Ponyta.
(Dmg..when a attack hits you use this formula normally:
Dice rolls 20 - 4 (what is the differences in the dice rolls) = 16
Then we look at the attacks: Gust is a special attack thus we use Sp. att & Sp. Def stats.
6 - 8 (The differences between your Sp att. & my Sp. Def) = -2 (mine is greater than yours)
Thus, the overall damage is calculated like this 16 -2 = 14dmg)
Then you subtract it from my Hp: 14 - 14 = 0hp)
The gust of wind that the Vullaby released would seem to blast past her own trainer and into the back of the fleeing Ponyta before he could reach the wall. His dodging planning dissolving before his hooves as it would seem that the lost of speed on his side would be enough to allow the move to catch up and hit with a critical blow into his unprotective back.
Knocked of his hooves by the power of the wind, instead of using the wall to backflip over the attack the Ponyta's head would instead smack hard against it. The sound echoing around the room as the attack would end with the pokemon bruised and unconscious laying against the wall with his face still face planted against the wall. All four legs crumbled underneath the poor pokemon.
"Well, blast it all to sunder. We lost!"
The boy would muse as he rub the side of his head.
"Shoot, well, i won't be showin' youse anythin' special. Youse won, but I would be remiss if I don't inform ya. Youse can always take your opponent by surprise by attackin' when they thin' you should be defendin'. Though there is a risk, screw it up and yonder pokemon takes double damage than norma'."
"Anyway, welcome to the Guild, and congratulates on your victory. Yeehaw."
He called out loudly as he recalled his pokemon back into his poke ball.
"Youse should be goin' and registerin' now, so mosey back to the Auditorium. Youse and youder pokemon are full students now."
He would lock both of his arms behind the back of his head before he turns and start to walk away.
"good luck."
(Counter attack - you can attack during your defensive phase by using a move, but it's a risk. Because, your pokemon is unexpectingly attacking, it has no room for defense, so if it fails the pokemon will take double damage. You only do regular dmg during a counter attack, and if your pokemon's move causes flinching, it doesn't work during counter-attacks. Also, you can't counter attack if your pokemon is under a status effect itself (expect poison & confuse).)
