__ Zhi proudly dusted her hands off after helping Patchy learn all those nifty techniques. Honestly, none of them really caught her eye as things she wanted to learn. Upon departing with her kohai, Zhi wandered off to do some training of her own too. After browsing her options she quickly came to her decisions and began her usual method of practicing ninja arts and whatnot- by dividing and conquering!!

Zhi had known since she started studying taijutsu that one of her biggest flaws was not being able to suffer the backlash of utilizing her blood-given abilities along with it. The Nigirikobushi no Shintou style offered plenty to help her hone her skills and self to get around that obstacle. Mastering the Impact Resistance training helped her learn how to use almost any and all taijutsu and bukijutsu without that old worry. Although, she still had to be careful with the Jiyugata Senpu style's techniques since they were a bit more rigorous. Mastering the Rejection Strike, Recoil, and Spinning Blow techniques was pretty much a cinch with her clones' help.

Zhi didn't hesitate to boost the pace of her training with some more clones too. They all took turns learning even more advanced techniques of this new style they were practicing. Using the battle gloves she traded out for her bladed boots made the training all the more satisfying. They'd all get the hang of these heavy-hitting techniques in almost no time flat. The Focal Point, Marking, Drift, and Fissure techniques were promptly added to Zhi's arsenal.

Intense was the whole point of this style. Even still, Zhi was amazed at how much it bolstered her offensive capabilities. Seriously though... a little thing like her probably wasn't meant to be able to hit something or someone like this. Her and her clones all shared this feeling of unease toward their shared growth. Despite that slight hesitation, they also mastered the Repeated Heavy Blows, Heavy Blows of the Brawl, Heavy Blows of the Aura and the Free-for-All techniques anyway.

Zhi was reaching the end of her training for this remarkable taijutsu. Her and her clones weren't even slightly winded yet though. They intended to give it their all to the very end. What was most interesting as they continued to forge their path forward was the Will to Fight technique. This was something she immediately knew would be worthwhile if she teamed up with the right person or people. Of course, Zhi also came to appreciate the last couple techniques as well. Complete Denial and Belligerence would surely find use on the battlefield someday. She hardly took a break before moving on to the basic techniques of the Kyouzou style which had also caught her eye.

It was almost incredible that this wasn't one of the first styles that Zhi invested in given her nature and fighting style. Kyouzou's evasive focus for both offense and defense were remarkable. Basically, it was just an open invitation to be even harder to keep up with, let alone hit, than ever thought possible before. Zhi and her clones would learn the Ghost Strike, Radial Split, Fake Strike, and Multistrike techniques next.

There was no doubt that mastering her taijutsu like this by learning several different fighting styles was totally to her benefit. She was getting a little tired, but also felt so much more capable than ever before. Zhi couldn't wait to have Kyouzou completely mastered as she and her clones continued doing as they were. Delayed Strike, Multiple Arms, Rising Barrage, and Cicada Shell were the next set of techniques she became accustomed to.

Kyouzou's more and most advanced skills were certainly worth conditioning herself for. They each held a very particular value alone. However, their true value was seen and felt in how some were even intended to be combined with other techniques. It didn't take long for her and her clones to figure out their most powerful combinations for later use. Right now mastering the False Cyclone, Stampede, Mirror Image, and Spider's Fury techniques was key.

Now it was time for a very crazy turn of events. The last scroll which Zhi had picked up was that of a particularly famous sword style. The Shigure Souen was renown for its strong offensive and defensive techniques with a hint of maneuverability and flexibility added in. Zhi and her clones didn't have a tremendous amount of experience in the use of swords, but they'd spare no effort in mastering the Axel of Rain, Rolling Rain, Misting Rain, and Last Minute Rain techniques just as quickly and effectively as any other jutsu they learned.

Moving on, Zhi turned her attention to other techniques in the Shigure Souen style. Her and her many clones continue to practice everything from the basics to the refined specifics of this style's techniques. Gradually, the process was actually becoming rather easy to manage. Honestly, it had to mostly be because of the physical conditioning she'd already finished that made this possible. The May Wind, October Rain technique as well as the Summer Rain, Splashing Rain, and Blessed Rain techniques were soon after added to her arsenal as well.

Some of this was partially because of how quickly she always picked up on and retained new concepts, but there was no doubt that the shared experiences of her and her clones certainly helped. Their linked Enlightening Brands made their training that much more effective in real time even if they didn't share their visual experiences. Once her clones were dismissed the rest of the pieces to the puzzle would fall into place. Mastering the Innocent Rain, Fiendish Speed Rain, Insight Rain, and Pelting Rain techniques gave Zhi a large step into Shigure Souen's advanced skills.

As always, Zhi was impressed with and proud of her progress. It didn't seem to matter what kind of jutsu it was, except that genjutsu stuff. She was just a quick-minded genius when it came to mastering just about any sort of combative art. She and her clones continued to refine their sword skills with every practiced and and cut delivered upon each other or their targets. With every new technique they leveled up just a little more and more. By the point of also mastering the Torrential Dance, Flame Spin Rain, Duplicate Rain and Seasonal Dance Zhi felt herself reaching her current plateau of abilities.

This round of training had been deeply insightful and meaningful to Zhi. Beyond any shadow of a doubt, she had grown quick a lot in terms of strength and skill as a whole. While she hadn't been granted much chance to officially test her abilities out against other enemies, being able to actually fight herself in more ways than one made it clear that her options were great. 'Surely I have to be close to proving myself to be as great a hero as Lady Bastet now. I'm probably strong enough, now I just have to have the mind and will of a heroine too!' Zhi reassured herself confidently after mastering the last of the Shigure Souen's skills- the Torrential Blessings and what was needed for The Task of the Next Generation.

Every last clone was finally dismissed with the conclusion of her arduous training regimen. Towards the end of the whole event Zhi had noticed others become present in the area of the dojo's grounds. She wasn't directly present and was in distantly adjacent parts of the training grounds. However, she had noticed that quite a bit of a ruckus was being made with the many flares of various techniques enacted on each other. Whoever Masato was engaging was also exerting an muddled amount of hostile intent, as she could tell from the Insight Rain skill she'd attained. Zhi would make her way to the scene, but take precaution in her approach to make sure that she wasn't jumping to any conclusions before delving into Muscle-sempai's business.

His fist drove itself forward at impecable speeds as it would blast through the chest of the man as the wind chakra infused strikes would assist boring out the hole. The action would leave a pink mist behind the man if left to be, the remnants of the entrails imploded. Masato closed his eyes as his father's body would fall unto his with a lifeless decent. Shoulder to shoulder, Masato would grit his teeth. Closing his eyes as the final memories locked away came to light. A litany of happy memories with his father a a young boy, no more than six. The hard days they trained together and the praise he very seldom recieved. The warmth of his father's hand upon his head. His stern disciplinary actions. Everything that had molded Masato subconsciously lied in that last memory. His eyes throbbed. Tears began to flow. He hardly knew the sensation as he could not remember crying, ever. Yet. He knew the smell that reached his nostrils. Blood. He would be shedding tears of blood. The price had been paid. The life of one they had loved being ripped away. This ever unfortunate circumstance. A clan's ambitions, forever severing the father and son ties. He remained silent, eyes closed. He needed not look upon himself in the reflection of water nearby.

He could have stopped this. There were multiple moves he could have used in order to avoid this strike. And yet, he knew it was time. If he killed his own son, then that would be the end. He already had to kill his wife, and his clan has disowned him as the leader. To see his son succeed despite his best efforts reminded him of something he forgot a long time ago. The punch broke through him, and he gasped at the pain. He didn't cry or beg for his life. He only looked at his son, nodded, and then fell to the ground.

Sadness equal to nothing he had witnessed prior eveloped him. He would no longer weep. While he knew love from the man in his own distant mannerisms, he would still know at his core he was there to eliminate him. He would silently bow his head as his father's body would seem to combust into flames. After several minutes, the corpse would burn to ashes, never to grace the world with his presence again. His eyes would shift about. He understood now. The shift his father's eyes took was unique. It had come from a similar battle? A similar outcome? Was he destined to become his father, doomed to be killed by his family member for power? It was absurd. This is what it would take. He shook his head, in denial still. He knew there was nothing to be done now. His father was gone. His memories reawakened. Masato Umechika now had an oppertunity. This power. It had to be used for the sake of his mission. To utilize such a powerful dojutsu to dominate and control the Bijuu. It would be easy. He would ensure that they laid waste to no village ever again. No more deaths would come at the hand of the Bijuu or the Jinchuriki if he was able to stop them. He would fetch his Bijuu Cleaver, storing it inside a lightning seal on his wrist once more. It was at this time he noticed Zhi. She was watching from afar...silently. He wondered how much she had seen. It didn't matter. The girl would have sensed everything that had happened. He would return her silence and await a response.

Masatos just started back at her, which made her a bit more uncomfortable than usual because of the strange flowery design in his crazy black and red pupils. "Sssssooooooo.... who was that?" Zhi knew that Masato had only defended himself from the dead guy's attacks, even if pretty excessively.

Jove walked through the academy grounds and towards the Dojo. For the longest time, she practically made her home here. She loved this place. She made her was through the solid staircase of the Dojo, she was ready to engage herself in Taijutsu and weapons. She had a general idea what she wanted to learn further. She walked through the heavy doors and pushed them open enough for her to get through. She looked around at the other shinobi training, she grabbed a dummy and drug it into the private training room.

She placed her leather gloves on and checked out the dummy. It was dense and great for the Taijutsu that enticed her. She duck and wove towards to dummy, Grabbing it by the shoulders, she started to deliver knee strikes to this dummy. She backed away but kept herself tight to the dummy. She imagined it being an opponent and she wanted to give it no room. She sent a barrage of close jabs and feints into the torso of the dummy. She feinted with her right and connected with a heavy punch with her left. It sent the dummy sliding along the ground, she laughed and pulled the dummy back to the original position.

Making his way into the dojo Kairi got a wicked smile on his face. Now it was time to have some fun and really cut loose. Making his way into one of the back rooms kept separate for training to make sure he would not bother anyone with what he had planned. Now it was party time. Lining up a ring of dummies he stretched to the limits of what his body and armor would allow...

Taking a boxers stance he held his hands up before his face clenched in tight fists. His feet were squared away and in line with his body. Lashing out with a straight jab he allowed his chakra to seep out of his body creating a light silver shimmer across his skin. Recovering his jab he danced to the left unleashing two more jabs at he dummy knocking it back. Grabbing it by its shoulders he stepped in and slammed the crown of his head into its forhead smashing the wooden face. Keeping his left arm on its shoulder he danced back just a hair and feinted a jab before twisting his shoulder and sending the blow high while turning his elbow and sending it crashing back into the half destroyed dummies head.

Recovering he stepped back and turned on heel. Rising his armored right leg he brought it down hard on the shoulder of the dummy smashing the frame which held the arm in place knocking it to the ground. With a light hop he crossed his right leg behind the left and lashed out quickly with a harsh backhand against its already damaged face cracking it further. Following the momentum into a twist he let out a grunt as he slammed his left fist into its chest. The blow alone was more then enough to send it skittering across the floor. Without him even noticing his chakra had hardened into a crackling silver aura which rippled and flowed across his body. He could feel his strength returning to his body, almost as if he had just downed five cups of coffee. Rushing forwards he threw ha hard heavy jab at the dummy. The blow was harsh and exact. Not light and laser tight nor heavy and loose. But the perfect middle ground of power and accuracy. Sliding his right leg back he dropped his stance low to resemble the back stance. With his right hand tucked against his stomach he charged his chakra into his right arm and with a deep breath lashed out hard. The instant it made contact the dummy was torn open spewing straw as it flew across the room. Yet Kairi was not done with it yet. Racing after it he timed the contact for after it bounced off of the wall. Building up a large amount of chakra he caught it at the waist and, using his own strength to redirect the momentum he quickly slammed it down in a textbook body slam. The result, a massive detonation of chakra ripping through the floor leaving him standing in a crater covered with straw dust. Gods above he loved this sort of fighting.

Picking himself up he brushed the dust and dirt off of his armor and pushed his hair out of his face. This particular party had only just gotten started and he was going to have quite the ball with it. Rushing forward towards a new dummy, Kairi would raise his leg high and deliver a powerful straight kick. Turning sideways he would deliver a following straight kick with the other leg before landing on his feet. As he finished the spin he would come up and deliver a fearsome uppercut on the dummy sending it skywards. With a twist of his body he would catch it by the neck with his ankle and send it slamming back into the earth.

Picking the dummy back up Kairi would set it upright as best he could and tried to keep it from breaking any further. With a bit of a sigh he would smile and step back. It wasn't pretty but hey, it was a dummy again. Right up until he decided to destroy it. With a rush of movement he would bat aside an invisible move from the dummy using his left arm to swing it wide. Stepping in he would elbow the dummy in the face before swinging under its arm behind it. Pumping hard with his legs to get a bit of a jump he would simultaneously slam his palm and knee into the neck and back of the dummy respectively. Dropping low the moment he landed he would sweep the dummies leg with his right leg knocking it airborne. Twisting sideways he caught himself with his right arm and lifted his left leg sending it flying through the air before hitting the ground hard enough to destroy the dummy.

He would see the small micro sized twitches in her muscles. Each twitch, each subtle movement would weave an image of nervousness. She was uncomfortable. He knew before he heard the rather anxious pitch of her voice. " That man. He was..." a thousand answers ran through his head. Father, while true wouldn't be the descriptive he would add to him. "...my first teacher. He was sent by his clan to eliminate me... I suppose." He really couldn't justify what his father actually came to do. Antagonize? Kill him? Perhaps it was simply to check his strength in earnest?

His eyes stared back at Zhi. He wasn't entirely sure of what they looked like. He had a feeling that either the dried bloody tears on his face or the new form of his eyes was what made her uncomfortable even still.

Jove took a second before resuming her training to squat on the floor and just breathe, this was more vigorous then the training in origami. Origami came so naturally to her... this Taijutsu didn’t. A bead of sweat dripped down her forehead and onto the floor, she wasn’t going let let this stop her from continuing. She stood up and reassessed the dummy in front of her, raising her fist in a slightly more defensive stance... she took to the balls of her feet. Now that she was in the stance, she felt more agile and...dangerous. She vastly approached the dummy, duck in and weaving in this more aggressive stance. Jabbing with her right and left, she wanted to get used to being in the stance. She threw her right foot upwards past the dummy’s head and threw her foot down; catching the dummy neck and driving it into the ground. The dummy came down with a loud thud and slightly bounced.

His face though? Masato would stare into a nearby pool of water. His eyes had taken on a rather new transformation. They appeared red as always, the magatama had transformed into something all together different. A floral pattern appeared upon his eyes now. Perhaps it was a manifestation of his new power in his Sharingan? He closed his eyes, concentrating for a moment. After several seconds his eyes would open once more, back to their stony, black color. "Zhi. We need to get going. We have work to do." He said plainly, referring to their perusing of the demons.

Saiko appeared in the dojo and immediately got to work. The man walked over to the scrolls of techniques and pulled out a couple scrolls for the first two stages of Jiyūgata Senpū. Once they were retrieved, he started to read them and study the first two stages. It seemed to be a style that was focused on moving quickly and being able to get around. After a while of studying the scrolls, Saiko would move onto actually practicing the two stages. Mastering the first two stages would be a breeze for the man.

The scrolls would be moved back to where they were and Saiko would pull of the next scrolls for the next few stages. The third stage started by practicing balance and preventing people from knocking him off of it. It progressed from there into a hand spring then using natural walls and objects to propel himself off of into a kick. Stage four came soon after and Saiko learned how to combo punches together in a quick succession. The man then got into a hand stand position and practice another technique from the fourth stage.

Saiko continued on practicing and studying the fourth stage. The technique from this stage he thought would be a good thing to have was the one he would use from a falling position. The man was able to fly so if he was able to get himself high enough he could cause major damage. However, he practiced that and moved onto the fifth stage. He was able to learn how to combo slightly better then moved onto increasing his reflexes. Soon after finishing the stage.

Sllllllld. The doors to the academy opened as Emiko's small figure entered and closed them behind her. She had decided to take a break from her fuuninjutsu training after her last one had a bit of a slip up. Sure it might have made a few people made that their training was interrupted by a pillar of smoke filling the room, but it wasn't like she did that on purpose or anything. To wait for the people to cool off she had decided to come in the Dojo and see what kind of things she could learn from her. A man was already here doing some practice of his own as she watched curiously. His style and grace looked pretty on par with being one of the examples that would be displayed for them in an actual taijutsu training class. After he had concluded his training for the time being Emiko would slowly walk over to him. Once a good distance away she stood awkwardly while her mind did its best to keep her confident and not curling into a ball. "Hi!" She offered a smile before looking him over for a brief moment. "I was wondering if you could help me with training. I'm not very good with taijutsu...or anything."

Saiko was busy thinking of what he would move to training next. The man had pretty much learned all that he could for the moment. 'Perhaps some genjutsu?' He thought to himself. The thought was quickly interrupted as he heard someone say hello. The man's hand went to his katana by instinct alone as his muscles tensed. However, he felt the air had no hostility in it and the action was completely unnecessary. So, his hand was removed from the hilt of his katana as he turned to face the girl. 'How old is she? Surely not old enough to be a shinobi. Is it an academy student?' Saiko thought as he took a look over her. The one eyed man then walked towards her, kneeling down to talk to her face to face as he was much taller than her. "Sure I will. And don't worry, neither am I." Saiko smiled and rubbed the child's head in a reassuring way. The truth was that he was good at a great variety of things but, the child didn't need to know that. "My name is Saiko, Jounin of Sunagakure. What's your name?" He'd ask as he stood up, following his question with another. "And what would you like to learn?"
