Personality: While Tengai's personality is a kind and bright one, his most outstanding trait is his seemingly endless temperament. He hasn't cried since he was two years old, and he displays a level of calm only rivaled by the most experienced monks. This, however, does not mean he has more wisdom or intelligence than someone else his age. He learns well from his mistakes and doesn't give in to distractions when it comes to taking in new experiences, but those mistakes aren't uncommon. He can sometimes get too invested in a new experience or lose himself in thought. While meditation is a frequent past time, it can become too frequent to the point where he seems far more interested in his empty thoughts than the world around him. His focus is second to none for his age, but he leaves little room for adaptation in his single-minded attempts at gaining information.

Biography: Not much can really be said about Tengai's past. Born to Soraru Hiraite (Musunde Raiu) and Hanako Hide, he and his twin sister Tenko were treated well as children. He was too young to remember the death of his mother and doesn't have many memories of her outside of pictures. Him and his sister were watched over by the Sakura Ishida clan within Arashigakure for their very early years while their father grieved the loss of his wife. While he still saw them frequently, it was only after a blind caretaker by the name of Xion got involved in their lives that their father started to grow far less distant. The Sakura Ishida eventually took a step back in their lives to provide funding for the family while Musunde watched over them with Xion helping whenever he went to work.
He was six when his father started to teach him about chakra and its uses. He learned about the bloodlines he possessed and the long history of lightning-based swordsmanship in their family. When he turned seven years old, Musunde gave him a wakizashi to begin training in basic combat. He knew that at some point, given the blood within him, that Tengai would crave battle at some point. He didn't push him to become a shinobi and only taught him techniques to defend himself. No, it was only seeing the light return to his fathers eyes once he re-enlisted that Tengai decided to fight for Arashigakure as well.

First Class: Bloodline
▱▰▱ Dual Ancestry → Dual Ancestry allows you to have full access to two bloodlines upon creation including all techniques, abilities, and personal attributes associated with them. For biographical purposes, your secondary bloodline may be genetic or implanted at your discretion. If two elemental bloodlines are chosen then the primary bloodline's elemental affinities become your base elements and you gain full access to those elements while your secondary bloodline gives you locked elemental affinities that you cannot learn ninjutsu techniques from but you gain full access to the secondary bloodline. Locked elemental affinities can be unlocked through methods such as ninjutsu class or personal attributes. Elemental affinity personal attributes are automatically allotted to locked affinities. Combo Element Kekkei Genkai and Jiongu users do not have access to Dual Ancestry nor can they be chosen as a secondary bloodline. Dual Ancestry users do not have access to the implant system including the Genetic Palette personal attribute. In addition Dual Ancestry are able to Korabo bloodline techniques at varying cool downs depending on the technique ranks for a single activation.

▱▰▱ Expert (Wakizashi) → The user has achieved a sense of mastery and focus unlike others and are known as an Expert, a dedicated focus over a weapon they use to near perfection. The shinobi can pick a single weapon, or two if dual wielding, to apply this focus toward with examples such as Katana, Spear, Bows or even Dual Daggers. They acquire a Keystone technique that is unique to them with an additional 2 Custom Techniques derived of this special ability. Refer to the Keystone Guideline for more information. They gain a moderate [+3] boost to both speed and reflex & Techniques cost [5] less Chakra and/or Stamina per rank of the technique when wielding attacks with their specialized weapon in attack or defense.
▱▰▱ Cross Class or Specialization: → Bloodline abilities that effect DR are increased slightly per rank of the technique. Able to gain learning reductions on bukijutsu based on reductions given by bloodline. In addition, the user is able to combine a bloodline technique and a bukijutsu technique together for a single activation, paying the resource cost of both every three posts.

When enraged or desperate, lightning appears in the water and the calm ripples turn into crashing waves with every strike.

Strengths:
• Tengai's calm is almost unbreakable. It seems to radiate off of him and allows him to make logical decisions in tense situations.
• He plans to support his allies with his flowers and force his allies to admit with a storm of torrents and lightning. It seems clear in his head, but he knows that it's a long road ahead. For the time being, he has a steady arm and a good head on his shoulders.
Weaknesses:
• His single-minded approach to things can make him miss new opportunities that a more perceptive and adaptable person would catch.
• He's hesitant to kill. As it stands, all he wants to do is subdue others, but even his demeanor could get shaken when it comes down to life or death situations.
Fears:
• Losing himself in flowers and not being able to form back completely. The bloodline is still very new to him, and frequently causes hesitation when it comes to turning more than a limb into flowers.
• Disappointing others. Not only did he have a lavish upbringing, Tengai was also no stranger to praise. While scoldings, harsh criticisms and punishments do have their effect on him, the thought of falling terribly short of someone's expectations hits much harder.

• Crashing Thunder : Augments all of the users bukijutsu, even those outside of the Raiu bloodline, with a basic amount of lightning chakra. By applying this chakra collisions result in a pressure wave similar to a thunderclap. For each rank of the technique, the pressure wave throws the opponent back five feet unless the Act of surface Walking is used at equal rank and potency to the user's parent technique.
• Green Thumb: Chiru members have a deep connection to flowering plants. This connection allows them to grow and manipulate them with simple gestures and movements, such as swiping their arm through the air or stomping their foot. Hanaton does not require hand seals and can be performed while in Sakidasu without needing to revert forms.
