Her fingers circled around his more firmly, and she brought his hand over to her lips. The corrupt brushed them against the inside of his wrist, and hummed a bit softly against his skin in thought.
"I did, though." She replied after a moment, but her tone indicated she was about to tack something on, and brushed her lips across his wrist once more. She moved his hand again, and pressed the back of it against her cheek. She leaned into the touch, and stared at the window, contemplating how much more she should say. How honest she should be. Once again she came to the same conclusion to just be upfront. She had nothing more to lose than what she already had, and she wanted him to keep talking to her.
"To be where I am, Officer, I paid the price in memory. Most of it. I can't really remember anything of my life prior to waking up, and that was at the end of this last December. I have these fragments though, if you will. Flashes of blurred forms and faces that are triggered when I cross paths with certain people. It's fragments of feelings that are stronger for me right now, and there's one attached to you." And it was strong. Stronger than a lot of other fragments she had.
She glanced at him, but kept his hand where it was still. "So I wasn't withholding an answer. I simply can't tell you what I don't have." Simple and straightforward.
