Okay so the poor sap that she'd flung fresh champagne over was upset, but in a fashion that had them waving her off irritably and stalking off to the bathroom. Of course Adaline wanted to follow and make sure they were really okay or if she could like, pay for their dry cleaning or whatever but there was a stern hand on her shoulder and she turned with wide eyes and a hunched shoulder.
It was the security guard.
Man, if look could kill...
"It's not my fault!!!!" She exclaimed, arms waving about as she grinned in a sheepish I'm guilty sort of way. "They bumped me and knocked both of our drink---" She cut off, shirking back from the guard and the person who knocked into her.
"Okay, okay. I'm going! I'm going!"
When she was far enough away she shook her head. "Sheesh, I didn't even get the dresses dirty."

As she admired the gown the security guard nearby seemed rather perplexed at her for almost dropping liquid on the garment. He was clearly not pleased with her and for some reason she had begun to grow rather flustered and tried her best to explain what had happened and even try to sweet talk him a little bit and perhaps lighten the mood. However the entire thing blew up in her face and she somehow managed to make him even more mad and in the process insult his mother. How had she even done that? Maybe she shouldn't talk to anyone else while she was here just to keep it safe.
Doing her best to give him a reassuring smile she put up her hands and tried to look as apologetic as she could since she truly did feel bad about the entire thing. "I'm truly, very sorry. I honestly didn't mean for anything I said to come out that way, you'll have to forgive my terrible manners." She backed up a little, "I think I'm just going to go ahead and put myself over here so I'm out of your hair." She moved away from the man she had upset so easily and still tried to at least look at some of the things that were around her.
There were so many people here right now she was actually surprised that anyone had any room to get around. Though the event was darling, she still needed to find someone to give those flowers to. (255 wc)

As the security guard glared, Sadie felt herself beginning to sweat under layers of fabric. She took a shaky step backwards, but somehow managed to not completely trip over her own feet again. That was one small relief. "Um. I'm very sorry. Again."
She watched as a bead of champagne drip from his receding hairline to his chin and dripped onto his uniform. He took step forward, too. "Although, it was not me?" she found herself saying. He was so tall. So burly. So official. If her family found out that she had been kicked out of the event for something like this, they would be so disappointed.
"It was," she took a quick glance around, taking in whoever was around her, but it seemed like with the security guard's attention, there was a bit of a bubble forming around the area. A few people were even stealing glances in her direction. "Somebody else?"
Sadie was not a liar. Between her own guilt and the guard's continued stare, she admitted, "No, it was me, but I am quite sorry!"

He had dodged the drunk, ran in to the table and got a lap full of champagne, tried to nonchalantly make his way to the bathroom to get cleaned up and ended up drenching a poor lady's shoes, and now he was facing a pissed guard. The lady had just glared at him and stomped off, her date trailing after her. The guard on the other hand didn't seem to want to take his apologetic smile and shrug. He looked seriously pissed, like lock his a** up for trying to destroy the Declaration of Independence or something. Seriously! It wasn't like he had actually spilled the sparkling water on the display dress and even if he had it was just water, it wasn't like the champagne that his own trousers were sporting.
When the burly man took a few menacing steps towards him Pat stammered an apology and headed out of there. He pulled a real Snagglepuss moment and exited stage right. Apparently the guard wasn't having none of that crap and headed after him.
REALLY? For christ sake it was just a freaking dress. And honestly Pat wasn't all that impressed with it anyway so why in the hell was this guy getting all bent out of shape. Bah! This was just stupid. He had paid good money to be here. All he wanted to do was spend a romantic night with his girl friend. Dancing, dinner, maybe some making out in a dark corner. Instead he was being chased by some overpaid bouncer for clothes. This was just nuts.

Quote: Prompt Five:
Despite your valiant efforts (or lack thereof), the security guard manages to catch you and you soon find yourself being escorted towards the exit. He's not putting up with any of your nonsense but gosh darn it, you paid good money to come to this party and you're not about to let some grumpy guard kick you out before it's over with! You might even have a date waiting - how embarrassing! Time for a quick evasive maneuver...
Roll one 10-sided dice to see where your fate lies...
1-3: You stomp on his foot, making the poor man (who was simply doing his job, you fiend) howl in pain. Using the opportunity of him grabbing for his foot, you disappear into the crowd of curious onlookers.
4-6: You try to offer him most of the money in your wallet in exchange for peaceful passage back into the party. He seems to actually pause and consider this thought (guess he didn't see how much was actually in there, huh?) but finds himself distracted when another intoxicated guest makes a rush for one of the especially sparkly gowns. Time to sneak off when he's not looking!
7-10: Using your magnificent debate skills, you soon convince the guard that not only are you worthy of being able to stay at the party and that none of this was your fault but you receive an apology from him over his brash actions. We're not saying you utilized witchcraft, but if the wand shoe fits...
((Reminder if you're late to the party, feel free to jump in at the latest prompt. You can't roll for the past ones, but we'd love to have you for all the ones going forward!
Next prompt will be posted tonight at 8PST <3))

She had done her best to get the heck outta dodge but she'd failed and felt her shirt being grabbed by the back of the collar and she was choking...
"Okay! Okay! I'm sorry!" She huffed, both hands in the air when she stopped trying to move forward and away. Eventually the guard let her go and she coughed, loosening her bowtie and unbuttoning the top of her shirt so she could breathe.
"Hey, I have like fifty bucks I can give you if you let me just try to start over...." She gave him her best puppy dog eyes and he looked like he was considering it.
Suddenly he was distracted, score!
Adaline hurried off into the crowd ASAP.

Despite everything was was attempting to say, the guard was not really having any of it and followed after her and grabbed her arm to escort her towards the exit. "I really didn't do any harm, I honestly don't see why I have to be dragged out of here like some ruffian!" She exclaimed almost pitifully. She really REALLY wasn't wanting to leave the event just yet and started to think of something or anything she might be able to do to get him to allow her to stay. Pondering for a moment she wondered if perhaps he was just bummed out that he had to work the event instead of being able to enjoy it, or perhaps he didn't have a special someone.
Reaching her arm up she grabbed his arm and attempted to dig her feet into the carpet to get him to stop pulling her away. "I know that this probably isn't the way you wanted to spend your night here," She started out, looking into his eyes with a soft expression on her face, her hand still on his arm, "I mean there is so much going on and you have to just stand here guarding this lovely piece of artwork." She motioned towards the dress and it seemed to be working. He had loosened his grip on her arm just a little bit and had stopped trying to drag her petite frame out of the party. Maybe he really was just having a rough night and her nearly ruining the dress he was guarding had just been the cherry on top.
Looking down into her bag she grabbed the extra boutonniere she had bought and pulled it out of it's container. She removed the pins and looked up towards him with an elegant smile upon her face, "Here, I want you to have this. I think it would be a nice addition to your uniform and it will let others know you're thought of tonight. I really am sorry for my earlier actions, it was a clumsy mistake on my part." She said as she pinned it to his collar, a look of gratitude upon his once stern features. It really did look nice against the dark color of his suit and she watched as he released her arm and reached up to touch it and a smile was suddenly upon his face. He apologized to her and seemed extremely gracious of her gift to him and explained that he had been having a rough go of things and that she should be just a little more careful of where she walked. With that she was off the hook, not that she had been truly trying to play him or anything. She was sincerely trying to do a nice thing for him. "Thank you so much, I really hope you're able to enjoy the rest of the evening." She said to him with a final touch to his arm before turning to move away from the almost disaster.

The guard wasn't having any of it, and Sadie soon found herself being brusquely grabbed by the arm. "It was really an accident, " she mumbled, but she'd just about talked herself into a corner at this point, and her apologies weren't doing anything. Just as she had resigned herself to her fate, another misstep sent the spike of her heel straight into the guard's boot.
Oh no. This was just getting embarrassing. As the pain made him drop her arm and go for his shoe, she slipped away, hoping to find some quieter corner to hide in to wait out the shame.

Pat hadn't made it very far when the guard caught up to him. Granted it was pretty hard to make it look like nothing was wrong but still keep ahead of a muscle bound idiot while weaving his way through a crowd of people. So here he was, said idiot at his side rather then his girlfriend, his arm in the guy's rather meaty grip and Pat's arm wasn't some twig. He worked out damn it!
"Look man, it was a accident."
"Yeah right!" The guard wasn't listening to his excuses. If Pat didn't do something and fast he would be tossed out on his a**. It would ruin the evening even more! Some Valentines day this was turning out to be.
With a muttered curse the tall redhead quite literally put his foot down and with a surprising amount of force got the guard to stop his forward motion. When the meathead glanced at him Pat started to explain. He explained and explained and explained, even going so far as to point out the damp spot on his own pants. After what seemed like forever the guard relented and let Pat go with a gruff 'stay away from the displays'. A promise Pat happily agreed too.
He hadn't gotten kicked out! Yippee! Now he just needed to go to the bathroom, dry his pants, snag some refreshments, find Fiona, give her the way late drinks, and do his damndest to enjoy the rest of the evening. All the while staying the hell away from the dresses on display. Like there was any way he was going near them now!

Tzuyu went over the sink and slashed some water in her face. She tooled a big breath. She couldn't believe her night was going like this. She would just going back to the ball and find a corner and stay there.
"One Mississippi...Two Mississippi."
Tzuyu counted and waited till ten Mississippi before she opened the restroom door. She opened a crack and looked out. She opened it a little further and looked back and forth.
Looked clear. She opened the door all the way and stepped out into the hall. She made her way back to inside where the ball was.
"There you are"
A hand clamped down on her shoulder. She screamed and turned around. The security guard was right behind her. She did the first time that came to mind and lifted her foot and threw it down on the guards foot.
He screamed and that have her the opportunity to escape. She turned and ran to hide in the big group of curious bystanders.

If she was going to leave, it would be on her watch, not someone else forcing her out. Or so became the thought process as the--reasonably--furious security guard caught hold of her arm as the frustrated blonde pulled herself to her feet.
This was ridiculous!
It took some tears--some crocodile, some of genuine frustration and done--and a near dramatic retelling of the events that had lead up to that point, but the security guard finally seemed to take pity on the socialite who'd had a hell of a run with things.
His shoulders slumped slightly in a sigh, and his lips pursed as he considered. But he did finally relent and even apologized to her for his quick judgment. Flabergasted, Felicity sniffled and repeatedly stated he was only doing his job, she couldn't blame him. But hell. She got a pass on this. If that wasn't enough to warrant another champagne, nothing would.

Prompt Six:
You have made it safely back into the crowd!
..... or so you think!
It doesn't take but a minute for you to recognize one of the hosts of the party staring you down. They appear to have seen everything unfold - the drunken stumble, the table bump, the run in with the security guard - so now it's time to face the music. How do you defend your actions?
Roll one 10-sided dice to see what happens next...
1-3: You blame them for everything because you have issues taking responsibility for your actions and how is it your fault that someone got drunk and started all of this ruckus, right???
4-6: You apologize because what else are you supposed to do at this point in the game? What happened has happened and there's no going back to fix it - better to suck it up and say sorry in hopes that you can stay...
7-10: You laugh it off and pretend like it was all just an unfortunate misunderstanding - you were in the wrong place at the wrong time, of course! What a silly thing to have happened!
((Reminder if you're late to the party, feel free to jump in at the latest prompt. You can't roll for the past ones, but we'd love to have you for all the ones going forward!
This is the LAST prompt, so please get your posts filled in. It doesn't have to be long, it just needs to have something.
