Tiberius' tail twitched in a pleased manner when Aue sent his magic flying at the captain for not paying attention; he knew it was a bad idea to not keep focus on the Finn at all times. "Your captain should keep his eyes on the Lemon b*****d, he really does play dirty, he was trained by some really nasty characters and has the worst disposition, even beyond that. Guy's something of a sociopath."

He had nothing nice to say about Enyo's half barb - she was under someone's thumb, as a matter of fact. Metallia's. The General Sovereign trio's. Queen Laurelite. She belonged to them more than herself, being a Chaos Mauvian, but he supposed if she liked she could continue to think she wasn't 'under a thumb'. Tibs certainly didn't feel like breaking her heart or bothering with the semantics of bringing it up - besides, he didn't feel like he was 'under' his Mistress' thumb at all. He was utterly spoiled! He had plush digs at Stroud's apartment, plush digs in Axinite's office, plush digs in the Finn's apartment - though those were bogarted from Bob more or less - and several other places he could cruise into at any time and be welcomed.

No, he was the blessed one. "I'm sure you'll be assigned sooner or later. Bossman Axinite and his crew are pretty good about not letting us linger too long without jobs, y'know."

He grinned at Enyo and Lace, "Two big guys like that, obviously skilled? Of course they're gonna go at it. Neither of 'em looks like the sort to give up or go half-cocked." The older Mauvian's question did give him a bit of pause as he watched the pair, Seraphinite was blinded by Aue's magic attack and the Lemon b*****d was saying something low and nasty.

"Don't know about the captain, but Aue doesn't usually care about that sort of thing. I think he'll just...fight."

Russian? Hockey be ******** damned. Hell, he didn't even really hear that part for how his blood began to roar in his ears.

Was the blood that ran down his face boiling like the blood that raced through his veins? It felt like it should have been. The burning was not quite edging away, but still Seraphinite managed to mop up enough of the lemon juice and blood to see again, even if his right eye continued to have issues with the blood coming from the gashes above it.

"I'm not Russian." It was a snarl, a spit, a roar, all thrown together in one. There was a cord there. A thing struck hard and solid, and the Captain was not responding well to it. His knuckles were white as he gripped the blades, using that increased speed granted to him by his rank to move in quickly alongside the senshi.

Though Seraphinite slashed at the guy's front and back with either sword, the one towards his back was a feint as he quickly brought his steel-toe boot towards the senshi's crotch.

HP: 23 /30
DMG: 5

Quote:
His weapons causes anyone struck by the swords to be injected with a poison that gives off a light burning sensation at the point of contact. The area around the wound forms "light cracks"--faintly glowing, lava-crack looking markings that last as long as the burning of the poison does. The cracks are a visual representation of the poison, though can extend further than the point of contact. The poison itself is restricted only to the point of contact, and lingers with the burning sensation for only 10 seconds. Should someone be struck repeatedly by the poison--after the initial effect has already worn away--then the burning sensation builds, akin to someone becoming allergic to a bee sting over repeated attacks.

HP: 25/30 // DMG:3

Apparently, calling the Russian a Russian was the wrong thing to do, because the Russian got really pissed at having his heritage called out. Who knew. A little byte of information to stow away for another day, along with the speed that Sera now displayed with the unleashing of his temper.

Aue had been prepared for speed, but not prepared enough. The officer's blades gave him few options and he chose to take a slice along the front, across his stomach - it burned like a b***h, but didn't seem to be the man's true target, so it wasn't overly deep, enough to break through and cause damage that would have been worse if Aue hadn't been able to twist and back up into the space the aft blade had vacated.

No, the real target seemed to be his balls, which was grossly unfair when you took into account those ******** boots. There was a split second between realization and action, a moment where Sera's foot was on upswing right into tender bits and pain began to sing symphony across Aue's nerves -- and then the Finn teleported to the other side of the arena, swearing viciously in rapid-fire Finnish and gesticulating wildly at Seraphinite, obviously pissed beyond belief.

Once he'd reassured himself that his testicles were still in one piece, he went stomping back across the arena, still bitching, and tossed a one-two punch combo before also kick-stomping at Sera's left shin. "You don't hitting the balls, you ******** Russian bas-tard!"

What a sight it must have been to see Captain Seraphinite smile then. A real, genuine smile. Nothing that held a trace of light-heartedness or laughter, though. It was grim, twisted and only accented further by the blood that had dripped down his face and was smeared by his sleeve.

If he'd really gone at it for the guy's stomach, it could have been a potentially more life-threatening wound. But why ruin the fun with that? So he'd taken the dirty route, and oh was the result a satisfaction. The fact the senshi teleported away made him laugh, a dark rumble through his chest as he sopped up more of the blood from his face while the guy bitched and threw a fit.

The punches hit, though Seraphinite did what he could to block them with his arms, grunting at the impact of the foot against his shin. But he still gave that grim smile. "Seems your only strength is your magic."

As if to prove a point, he teleported himself, landing himself behind the senshi. Lifting both swords, he plunged them down, meaning to drag them down the senshi's back--if he didn't turn or move quickly, that is.

HP: 17/30 // DMG:1

Grand. He was dealing with a sociopathic Russian.

Just what Aue needed.

And a funny one, to boot. He did not have time nor temperament to deal with Seraphinite right then, he'd just had a brush with mortality more than usual. You just didn't attack another man's balls. It went against the Gentleman's Code or something like that...but here this ******** had gone and done it.

Sera teleported behind him, but Aue figured he might, with that murderous look on his face, and was able to turn, avoiding one blade completely though the other caught on his shoulder, stuttering across bone and skipping down through the flesh of his arm until the officer's arc set it into air once more. Damn, but it has a nasty bite! Aue's tunic fluttered where it had been cut earlier, the lower part glued to his skin with coagulated blood, more welled from the new wound, dyeing his arm red and sticky. "You have armor, attacking you with magic is tactically sound choice, dumbass."

Completing his turn by spinning further and using that momentum, the corrupt senshi smacked the captain's face smartly, he couldn't get a good strike in but perhaps it would be enough to get the blood flowing anew, blind the b*****d.

Pot, meet kettle.

Unfortunately for Aue, Seraphinite never learned how to fight the fair and clean way. Fair didn't get you out of bad situations when you were cornered by guys much bigger than you. Fair didn't get your best friend's a** out of trouble. Fair didn't do jackshit from his point of view. Cheap shots, dirty tricks, and going for every possible advantage possible? Might made right. It was all that mattered in the end.

Perhaps had both combatants been a little more clear-headed, they might have even been able to host a conversation on the subject. Alas.

The guy was at least smart enough to figure that Seraphinite had teleported behind him. Too bad he hadn't teleported himself on out of there. He could feel his sword skip a bit as it hit bone, something he wasn't entirely used to, and the resulting injury on the senshi's arm was perhaps a bit more than he should have done.

But this guy didn't know when to quit, did he?

The smack to the face drew more blood from his cuts, strong enough that the Captain gave a faint pause to spit out some that had come up in his mouth. But again he was smiling. And followed it up by sending away one of his swords so he could deliver a punch towards the guy's face.

HP: 13/30 // DMG: 0

No, Aue did not know when to quit. At all.

What he did know was pain as the pain in his a** officer's fist connected with his face and the cartilage in his nose made a very unpleasant sounding crunch even though he was jerking his head away to diminish the effects - and also out of reflex.

A stream of angry Finnish invective spilled forth again, the senshi backing away and covering his nose with his hands, glowering as his eyes smarted with involuntary tears and insults heaped upon Seraphinite's head. He couldn't even be arsed to swing at the b*****d, <******** src="https://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m2rp7dKH391qhz348.gif" class="user_img" alt="User Image" />

To be fair, he sort of expected the guy to block it. Or teleport away. Or something. But the crunch of the senshi's nose when his fit hit it was surprisingly satisfying, especially after the s**t that spewed from his mouth before.

Even after the strike. But Seraphinite... he laughed. Oh he wasn't going to be gaining any points for himself there in anyone's eyes, probably, for how the sound was one of enjoyment. Deep, dark, but enjoying the fight. ********. How'd he slip this far?

"What's wrong, senshi?" He continued to chuckle, arms outstretched now with both swords desummoned. "You can dish it out with your magic, but can't take it with physical blows?" Oh he still had blood dripping down his face, the front of his uniform splattered with it. But something in him couldn't help it. He wanted to taunt him.

HP: 13/30 // DMG: 7

He was done. He was very done trying to be sportsman like in the slightest. There was no point, this captain was trash and needed to be taught a lesson in respect and understanding. Aue had already explained to the thick-skulled idiot that his entire strategy so far had been based heavily on magic because of the armor protecting Seraphinite's torso, which rendered most physical contact - in the form of body blows - moot.

The b*****d had misunderstood and laughed it off. Now he was underestimated Aue again by assuming that all he was involved magic, when really, Aue used it tactically along with everything else in his arsenal.

Laughter cut across the Finn's nerves like sandpaper on burnt skin.

Aue spat blood onto the arena.
He teleported again, right in front of the smug a*****e, smiling with teeth stained red.

"You tell me, kusipää" At which point the corrupt senshi surged upwards to headbutt Sera squarely and then immediately cast his super magic for the second time, right into his upturned face "Petal Storm!"

He hoped the ******** went blind. Or maybe drowned in the citric acid. Both would also be favorable.

Quote:
Aue summons a storm of lemon blossoms that burst apart, petals flying at the enemy to cut (a la lots of tiny paper cuts) and then dissolve into lemon juice, which stings like a biatch in the fresh petal-cuts. May also cause further topical damage/burning due to the citric acid involved. The burning/stinging effect lasts for 30 seconds and is most effective if it hits the victim's eyes. :>

Attack can leave larger cuts if player wishes.

Per BSSM canon, Aue can perform this attack 3x per battle.

"Don't push your luck." I wouldn't waste money on you. Not at this rate.

Ply your self-pity trade elsewhere. You'll get no handouts from me.

Faustite looked on while the fight progressed, and it progressed badly — for Aue. The officer demonstrated prowess with placing blows and utilizing his teleportation, and Faustite didn't suffer for the speed of it like with the generals' battle. The flicker gave enough insight to track for him when he appeared behind Aue, and brought double blades down to flay his back. Perhaps less useful on the field than plunging both daggers to the hilt between the ribs, but this wasn't that kind of tournament.

Or he supposed they wouldn't find that much use in culling their numbers. Each of the ones he wanted knocked out so far had won their fights. Except, he heard, Kamacite.

Another round of magic went out, aimed at the face again. Frowning, Faustite looked on at the repeated display. "Aue, don't teach him how to lose," he muttered at the ring, jerking a thumb to the Negaverse senshi at his side.

I had high hopes for you, and this is what you do. Should I spend my interests on your opponent, then?

Huffing, he uncrossed and recrossed his legs. Arms crossed over his chest. He looked about the room instead, ignoring Aue's obvious state of undress.

The Russian curse was troublesome. Jet knew Seraphinite’s history, and while the Russian might have slipped out, he knew the young man in black and green had every reason to hate the suggestion that he was Russian.

Seraphinite was hurt. Bad. It was the only reason he would have slipped up like that.

Hold it together.

Jet watched with growing interest as the fight continued.

"They're both strong. It'll probably be a close fight if they can focus on what they're doing," Jet said to Gadolinite without looking at him. There was no irritation in his voice, just casual comment. He was more concerned about Seraphinite at the moment.

As nervous as Kamacite felt around General Tourmaline, his attention wasn’t pulled away from the fight for too long. Things were getting bloody, starting first with Aue’s magic, and then the retaliation from the Russian cursing Captain.

He felt the color drain from his face the moment the Captain’s blade cut across Aue’s stomach, nausea churning at the sight of blood and the sound of pained Finnish when Aue was kicked.

But it didn’t end there. The captain was vicious, and while Aue was a competent opponent, that didn’t stop the black blades from biting through fabric and flesh.

Kamacite felt like he was going to be sick. Was this allowed?? This amount of violence? Yes, Aue had thrown his attack into the Captain’s face twice, but Aue didn’t have blades that could easily cut through him.

He wanted this match to be over. They’d both been injured grievously, unlike in his own fight. He’d come out if that relatively unscathed comparatively. A bandage covering a wound or scratch here and there but nothing like this. He wanted this done and over with and he didn’t care if Aue won or lost as long as he got medical attention for his wounds.

And as much as he wanted, he didn’t look away. It would be an insult and he would learn nothing by cowering. It would be a waste of Aue’s time and the pain he was going through. Even though he wished he could cover his face in his hands, to curl up on his seat and hide under the fabric of his robes, he made himself watch.

So instead, one shaking hand clutched tightly to his robes over his heart, trying to convince it to calm down, while the other covered his mouth. His eyes were wide and panicked and he wished he had his medicine with him because having a panic attack over this would do nothing to help.

There we go! When the senshi's forehead cracked against his bloody and torn one, Seraphinite almost could have laughed. There were more ways to go at someone's body than just the torso, after all. Could have been trying to make it so he couldn't use his arms to lift his weapons, or his legs to move.

Not that there was time to say such things. His head spun, his teeth gritting before he let out a guttural snarl as more of that magic hit him. Square in the face. Again. The petals tore at his skin, slashing upwards along the side of his nose, cheek, and brow. Two deep gashes bleed profusely along his right eye, a faint diagonal to the two slashes that cut deep into his cheek and brow to join the two already present. Just missing his eye. Though the juice helped to deal with that, burning the cuts and his eyes.

Still, he lashed out with his fists towards the senshi's torso, needing to get back a few steps if he could to try and blot off the blood and new round of burning liquid. But the guy was proving his point, and he might have laughed for that.

If Tourmaline had noticed Kamacite shrinking away from her she would have said something sooner. She would have tried to do something to reassure the Senshi of Solar Flares that she was not a threat; that she had only come to keep him company as they watched Aue's fight together. Sure, he might enjoy his free time and his personal space, but she didn't want him to think that he had to be alone if he didn't wish to be.

She hadn't noticed him, however, and by the time she might have the battle in the arena had escalated from a spar to a full out brawl. Tourmaline held her breath without realizing it. She knew that Aue was capable and competent. She knew that he was a fighter, filled with determination and something so much stronger than just that. She knew the kind of training their General had put them through-- knew the kind of training they had put each other two.

She knew all of these things, and yet her breath was still held up until she realized that she was doing so. The world caught up with her as she released the breath to the sound of laughter and familiar Finnish curses....

Tourmaline caught a glimpse of Kamacite shrinking down again from the corner of her eye, realizing how all of this might look to someone who didn't know Aue as she did-- who didn't know what he'd been through, or what he was capable of. Kamacite had every reason to worry. Hell, even with her unyielding faith in Sailor Aue she had been concerned enough to hold her breath.

The charcoal and pink general shifted closer to the senshi, reaching over to gently pry his fingers from his robes so that she could take hold of his hand. Tourmaline banished her gauntlets so that skin touched skin, touch tender and reassuring. "Aue will win, you'll see... And when he does he'll need you to be strong and help him to the tents, just as he did with you. That's who we are for each other. It's what we do."

Aue took the body blows and gave back in one solid kick to the shin, grappling with Sera to keep those fists - and blades - from cutting further. It was messy, slippery business with his left arm slicked with blood and his pants stained with it.

Like having pissed myself, but worse Everything tasted and smelt of copper, felt like burning and aching and <********> why was this not over yet? Hadn't he been fighting for ages?

Grimly, Aue planted his feet again, glaring up at Seraphinite's ugly Russian face. "Ready to give up yet, Captain?"

His leg was smarting, and he felt it nearly buckle with the second kick. This guy wasn't a lightweight. The blows did hurt, and he'd likely have a bruised bone from this. If not a few cuts and s**t down there anyways. Though it was definitely his face that was getting the brunt of it that fight.

But neither combatant was walking away from this first match without some injuries.

A bark of laughter, and Seraphinite met the dark gaze of his opponent with his left eye, the right nearly impossible to open with the lemon juice and blood. He was losing a good bit of blood at this rate, and he knew he wouldn't be able to go on much longer. But ********. This was fun.

he laughed, lifting his knee up and slamming it hard towards the senshi's gut where he'd been previously sliced. Fair never was fun, after all.
