User ImageLotor chuckled, "I suppose we really should shower together. Wouldn't do to have you falling and cracking your head after I've gone to so much trouble to keep you safe." He stood and helped Gabe up as well, checking on the man as his legs took his full weight. The man seemed steady enough, but Lotor kept his hand on Gabe's elbow just in case. "If you want I could carve us a bathing room and make a large soaking tub in it. We could wash off in the shower and then soak for a while." The shower they had was larger, but he hadn't thought of adding a tub, but using the tools he'd built and his nanobots, it would be done by the time they were done with their shower. He walked with the human to the bathroom and moved to get the water going and hot. He didn't want to burn the human, so he turned the temperature to lower than he normally would. It was still warm, but he tended to like scalding showers and he was fairly certain that it would hurt Gabe. The current temperature was warm for him, but not too hot for the human's more sensitive skin. "I hope you don't mind using my wash. I made them from plants in your world, so there is nothing that will harm you." He couldn't stand the chemicals humans put in all of their products, even the self hygiene ones. He preferred to make his own. When everything was ready he stepped under the spray, "Come, I'll wash you if you will let me." He held out his hand to Gabe, wondering if he would actually take it or not. They had shared scent, to Lotor that was a sign of trust and kinship. He just hoped that Gabe felt the same way.

Gabriel

Gabriel took the help to stand, and did his best to stand on his own. Though, his legs were a bit weak, and his hips were a bit achy. Though he wasn’t complaining, and he wouldn’t change anything. It was comforting and endearing how Lotor stayed close to him, keeping one hand on his elbow as they walked to the bath. Questioning eyes looked up at Lotor, and confused but playful smirk on his lips. “You make it sound so easy to just “carve” a soaking tub…” he paused for a moment though. “Wait…How long did it take you to build this place?” he asked. He still had no idea where they were, except he was certain they were underground.

They made it to the bathroom and Lotor busied himself with getting the water ready. Gabriel turned to look in the mirror and froze, breathe catching at the sight of himself. Mainly staring at the marks Lotor had left on his body. There were four little pricks alongside one side of his throat. And the other side the juncture of his throat and shoulder was painted in a hickey like bruise. It looked so dark in the light, but it didn’t hurt when he touched it. Lotor’s voice pulled Gabe away from his reflection. “Hmm? Oh, no, thank you for letting me use it… I bet all the chemicals in human products mess with your skin huh?” he asked, just guessing. Lotor seemed to make a lot of his own hygiene and healing products… that wasn’t surprising though.

Gabriel looked at Lotor as he stepped into the spray of the shower, hand out stretched and Gabe just stared for a moment. Water splashing down those broad shoulders, strong chest, beautiful purple skin… seriously, this wasn’t fair. Gabriel recovered quickly. “Only if I get to reciprocate.” He said with a smirk, taking the male’s hand. He stepped into the shower, in front of Lotor and sighed softly when the warm water hit his skin. Gabriel took a half step backward and pressed his back against Lotor’s chest. “Did you pipe in the water from the main city line?” he asked, his rambling starting up again to fill the empty space. He knew he was supposed to be cleaning up… dry off… separate from Lotor… put on clothing, physical barriers between himself and Lotor… but he was being selfish… he was being needy… things could go back to normal tomorrow…

User ImageLotor glanced around, "It took my microbots about twelve hours? But they had to lay foundations and make sure it was structurally sound, so it took a bit longer than usual." He shrugged a bit, it really was no big deal. It was easier to make a hide out than to find one. "Yes, I can't use most premade products. You humans like to put all sorts of chemicals in your hygiene products and medicine claiming they help. That and they stink." He shook his head. "They don't, at least not for me. And I've found what I make works better on humans as well." He may have taken to sneaking into the children's hospital using a hologram to be disguised as a doctor and used a few of his home brews to help the patients there. He hated seeing the young suffer, and if there was something he could do to help, he would. They called him the hospital ghost because he only came at night and none of the staff every saw him. He told them he couldn't come if they told the adults because they would put up things that made ghosts disappear. Since they always felt better after his visits, they only spoke of him to each other. If any of the personnel heard, they thought that it was just the kids being kids with imaginary friends that helped them feel better.

Gabe joined him in the shower and leaned against his chest. Lotor wrapped his arms around the human and rested his chin on the top of his head. "If I tell you i did tap into the line will you add that to my record of misconduct?" He asked with a grin. His hand trailed up and he ran a thumb over the hickey/bite. "I hope this didn't hurt you. Sorry, it was kind of instinct." He checked to make sure Gabe was ok before he started to bathe the man. He washed him slowly, making it into a massage at the same time. When he was finished, he let Gabe return the favor, relaxing under the man's hands. They rinsed off and, even though they had showered, Gabe using his cleaning products made the man smell even more like him, something Lotor liked very much. He smiled a little, but his stomach took that moment to remind him he hadn't eaten for a while. He was starving, and he was certain Gabe was as well. "Let's get something to eat. What do you want?" He felt it was nearly noon, and his sense of time was almost perfect. "I have pretty much everything here."

Gabriel

Gabriel rolled his eyes. “Oh only twelve hours huh? Slackers…” he through Lotor a teasing smile and shook his head. He couldn’t understand why Lotor was a criminal… he was so smart, and his inventions were amazing… he could do so much good for this world…and yet he chose crime… Gabriel just didn’t understand. And before, he didn’t feel like it was something he could talk to Lotor about, at least not seriously… Gabriel gave a vague shrug at Lotor’s comments on human made products… Lotor was probably right… there was no way adding all these chemicals to our bodies were an overall beneficial thing… but it was just something humans accepted, to a point. They had ‘organic’ products and ‘all natural’ products… Gabriel usually just bought the cheapest things he could find… maybe he could get Lotor to make him something… his body wash smelled pretty good.

Gabriel actually laughed a bit. “Probably, but I don’t have my badge right now, and I have no proof.” He teased back, lifting his hand to touch Lotor’s arm. Gabriel leaned into Lotor’s touch, closing his eyes for a moment. “No, it didn’t, doesn’t…” He said, smiling at the ‘instinctual’ comment. “Careful Lotor, you’ll inflate my ego…” he pulled back slightly so they could stare showering. “I’m so good in bed, I make you revert back to your instincts? And your primary language… yep, definitely an ego booster.” He teased, chuckling, well, tried to tease. It was actually a boost to his ego… he liked knowing that he had had such an effect on Lotor.

Showering was great. A message from Lotor, than free access to his body. Gabriel was sure to be PG about the whole thing, knowing his body needed a rest. They both got out of the shower, and Gabriel found himself steadier on his feet. Lotor’s message and the warm water had loosened his muscles, making them less achy. Gabriel wrapped a towel around his waist and smiled at Lotor’s stomach growling, which was quickly followed by his own. “I’m not picky. Whatever works.” He said as they started to head out of the bathroom. Gabriel grabbed his undershirt and underwear from Lotor’s room, then went back to his own to put on his pants. He left his shirt off, draped on a chair. He then made his way to the kitchen. “Want help?” he asked, making a hand gesture at the kitchen. Gabriel wasn’t the best cook, but he could follow orders.

User ImageLotor grinned at Gabe's ego comments. Yes, that was definitely a compliment to how perfect the man was. He wrapped his own towel around his waste and followed Gabe to his room. When the man went to his own bedroom Lotor dressed. He went to pull on his usual garments, a thick almost armor like suit that covered him fully, but he hesitated for a moment. He finally opted on just his underclothes. It was still covering, but it was far more comfortable than the thicker. The cloth was still strong, but soft and smooth. A bit thinner and in two parts rather than one, it was what he wore when he was feeling down and wanted comfort, but right now he was wearing because he felt good for the first time in a while. He walked out to start their lunch, electing for something simple but delicious. He started warming a tomato based stew that he had canned himself and buttering bread. When Gabe came in and asked if he could help, Lotor nodded. "Do you know how to make grilled cheese?"

Cheese was something he had never had until he came to this planet and he had to admit he'd become a bit addicted. The more melted and gooey it was, the better. He pointed to the pan he'd gotten out of the cabinet and started to pile the bread next to it. "I've got cheddar, mozzarella, and pepper jack in the ice box. Put all three of them on the sandwich and it's heaven." He grinned and turned back to his stew, stirring it. "Sorry it's nothing fancy. I thought we wanted something quick and delicious."

Gabriel

Gabriel walked into the kitchen and stood in front of a stove. “Ya, that’s easy.” He said, setting the pan on the burner to get it heated while he prepared the breads and cheeses. He glanced over at Lotor as he turned back to the stew, and he took in the sight of Lotor’s back. Hair still damp, and Lotor wasn’t wearing his usual clothing… it was new seeing Lotor like this… and Gabriel was really enjoying it. He turned back to his task, working behind Lotor as they spoke. “I don’t mind. Like I said. I’m not picky… Besides, who doesn’t like a good grilled cheese and soup?” he asked with a smile. Gabriel hovered his hand over the pan, checking its temperature before he put the first sandwich on. Of course he took Lotor’s suggestion and used all three cheeses. “Do you like cooking?” he asked as he waited for the bread to toast and some of the cheese to melt.

It didn’t take long to make the first grilled cheese. And Gabriel was proud of himself that he didn’t burn it. He followed the same technique with the next one, taking a chance to glance over at Lotor and his stew. “That smells great.” He said with a smile. This was really nice… making lunch with someone… they were playing house. And that nagging voice in the back of him mind emphasized the word ‘playing’. He tried to squash the negative feeling, but it was always there, just waiting on the edges of his mind to ruin his happy moments.

((short sorry! I don't want to move too far forward since I don't know when the break in will happen!))

User ImageLotor smiled a bit, "I do enjoy it. On my home world you cooked what you grew, hunted, or bartered for. We worked as a community and made sure no one went hungry, but we had to ration everything to survive. Your world has so much to offer. At first I didn't believe there was so much food available! I thought I'd actually died." He shook his head, but was surprised when he didn't feel the familiar wish that he had died. He paused for a moment, blinking a few times as that settled in. He wasn't a fool, he looked over at Gabe and felt at peace. Lotor shook himself a little, "There was so much variety, my first set of studies were the different types and strains of each food item. In doing so I learned of their properties and flavors and then how to cook them." He got out two bowls and dished up the stew. "I even tried the prepackaged foods, though they all made me rather sick. I learned which of your foods were poisonous from trial and error, though the more I searched the more I was able to determine which weren't safe for me and which were." He shrugged a little, most of his experiments had be done with food he had stolen since he didn't know anything of the world he'd landed on. He'd managed to keep himself hidden for the first two Earth years that he'd been hear. Observing and learning, building himself somewhere he could live and be safe while still being hidden. He took the bowls over to the table and set them down before getting plates for the grilled cheeses. "I also gained access to your world web and came to enjoy the cooking shows. I've learned a lot from there."

When it was all ready he sat with Gabe and started to eat. "I'm actually curious if our sense of tastes differ. If there are flavors I can taste but you cannot. I know my sense of smell is much better than the average human's. As is my eyesight, especially at night. Reflexes, strength, hearing, those sort of things. So it makes sense that my taste would also be more sensitive." He cocked his head to the side as he studied Gabe, "If you find any of my food bland, let me know, please? I've never really cooked for a human before, so I have no idea."

Little did they know that their location had been discovered. Up in one of the crypts were several members of the company, preparing to blow a section of the roof and attack. They were taking no chances, their guns were loaded with tranquilizers that would take out three elephants. Those were for the alien. The human would be far easier to deal with.

Gabriel

Gabriel liked listening to Lotor talk. It was soothing. Lotor’s world still sounded so harsh… why would people live there? It was obvious that Lotor’s people had spaceflight… couldn’t they move to a more habitable planet? But, then again… it was their home. Gabriel couldn’t imagine abandoning earth… he shrugged the thought away and turned back to Lotor’s voice. He wasn’t surprised that packaged foods made Lotor sick. If medicines and body washes were enough to irritate him, then definitely processed foods would wreck Lotor. He paused when Lotor mentioned learning through trail and error which foods were poisonous to him. “So, these foods are like actually poisonous, like Hemlock, or are deadly to you?” He asked, “I guess I’m asking if you have food allergies.” He shrugged as he plated the cheeses, moved the pan from the hot burner and turned it off. “Ah, yes… the internet…” Gabriel with held a laugh at the thought of Lotor watching cooking shows. He could just imagine Lotor in the kitchen, wearing a pink apron, following along with some chef on the tv… it was an adorable scene. But he kept the thought to himself.

He sat at the table and took a bite of his grilled cheese first before moving to sample the stew. Gabriel looked up at the male as he tasted the stew, then nodded at the male’s words. “I would be surprised if taste was the only thing that wasn’t enhanced.” He said with a smile. “But this is good… maybe could use more salt?” he shrugged. “I’m not a cook, so I’m probably not going to be much help.” He said with a smile, taking another bite of his stew, soon followed by a bite from his grilled cheese. “You were right about putting all the cheeses in this… its great.” He said happily, enjoying the cozy atmosphere that seemed to surround them in a bubble. Gabriel turned his attention back to his food, and he hadn’t realized before how hungry he actually was… While shifting through his thoughts, he remembered Lotor had said that he usually ate more meat than the average human. He wondered if the male had ever tried to put meat in a grilled cheese? Sometimes ham was a delicious addition.

There lunches were consumed rather quickly, it seemed. And after the morning they had, it wasn’t surprising. Gabriel was leaning back in his chair for a moment, letting his stomach settle. “That was delicious… Thank you.” He said with a smile. He started to gather the plates and bowls together. “We both cooked, so be both help clean up.” He said with a smirk.

The next few moments happened too quickly for Gabriel to register. One moment, he was standing to take the dishes to the sink, the next he was on the ground. His ears were ringing, there was a throbbing pain in his head where his head had apparently hit the ground. Something was crushing him. Dust clouds made it hard to see. It stung his eyes and made his lungs burn. There was rumble and debris all over, and a huge hole in the ceiling. Gabriel vaguely was aware of people rushing around. He called out for Lotor, but he couldn’t hear his own voice. He wasn’t sure if he was whispering or screaming. He tried to move from under the crushing weight on his chest and his eyes finally focused on Lotor. Blood trickled down the side of his unconscious face. Again, Gabe tried to yell to Lotor but instead all he could hear was ringing, a high pitched whine. Motion at his head made him tilt his head back to see what it was. The last thing he saw was either a boot or the butt of a gun colliding with his face. Then the world went black.

User ImageLotor shrugged, "I can eat wolfs bane just fine, actually. I know it is poisonous to humans, but it doesn't effect me. What I've found is pineapple, mango, and the more 'tropical' foods make me feel ill." Citrus were hit and miss. Oranges, lemons and limes were ok, but grapefruit was actually a bit dangerous. They ate and Lotor agreed they both should do the dishes. He was standing next to Gabe when his instincts screamed at him to get down. He jumped on Gabriel, covering the human's body with his own just as the bombs detonated. Debris rained down on him an a large rock smacked the back of his head. Blue blood trickled down his cheek as he lost consciousness, men invading their space. He tried to growl, but his world went black and he slumped.

When Lotor woke, his body ached. He knew he'd taken some damage from the blast and the debris. His head ached and his vision was a bit blurry. He knew he had a concussion, but he forced himself to focus. He needed to know where he was, and more importantly, where Gabriel was. He rolled his neck, annoyed with himself for not wearing his armor. It would have protected him and possibly prevented his being knocked out. He could have fought. He growled and pulled on the bindings holding his arms above his head. He was hanging from a chain, his feet were chained together and he was spread out as far as he could go. It prevented him from getting any leverage to break the bonds. His vision cleared and he recognized the building from his research. They had been taken by the company. Xnor! He growled and tried to pull his arms and legs in towards his stomach. He was able to move them, but he heard the sound of gears shifting. There were weights attached to the chains holding him. Struggling would lift the weights and wear himself out. He stopped and his arms and legs were straightened with a snap. Xnor!

His eyes widened. Gabriel. Where was Gabriel? He shifted in his bindings, fighting to look around, but he couldn't see the human. His growl turned into a roar. If those bastards had done anything to him...There was a soft tap on his cheek and he looked to see several of his microbots lifting from his sleeve, leaving his arm bare. "Go. Find him." Half took off, flying is search of the human while half of those remaining formed into a sort of screen, shifting their depth to show Lotor what their searching counter points found. The rest moved to work on dissolving the chains.

Gabriel

Gabriel woke with a groan. The lights were too bright, his head was killing him, his vision was blurry. The last thing he remembered was Lotor… bleeding. He tried to move to shield his eyes and he realized he couldn’t move. His heart raced as he tried to focus on the room around him. He was in some kind of sterile place, strapped to a gurney. There was an IV in his arm and at first, he thought he was in a hospital. But the walls were concrete, and the curtain was that clear plastic… reminded him of a horror scene in a movie. He jerked at the restraints, gaining the attention of one of the ‘doctors’ in the room. “Oh, I see you are awake. Good, now we can begin.” His voice was dripping with dread and evil. Gabriel shivered, but growled at the male. “Who are you? Let me go!” he jerked again. But the doctor ignored him as he approached with a needle with some kind of slightly yellow fluid within it’s syringe. “What is that?” he tried to keep the panic from his voice. He jerked, again, trying to get away, but it was no use. He hissed as the needle entered his arm. “It shouldn’t take long to take affect… then we can really play.” The doctor said with an evil chuckle. Gabriel could already feel his head get hazy. And after not too long, he was seeing things that weren’t there, hear voices that no one else could hear, seeing sounds and tasting colors as his world blurred. The ‘nurses’ strapped his head to the bed so he could no longer thrash about. That’s when the really torture began. Though to his tortured mind, he wasn’t sure exactly what was being done to him… it was all just painful! His screams echoed through the room, and partially out into the halls.

The company wanted it to look like Lotor had been experimenting with his favorite human kidnappee. Surely an alien would be curious about the limits of the human body… what kind of drugs could it handle? How much current could human flesh support? Pain tolerance to beatings, cuts, piercings, broken bones? Maybe, how long could they hold their breaths? These doctors had a few different plans, all which were laid out in the room, out of Gabriel’s sights. Though at this point, Gabriel wasn’t seeing humans as they tortured him. Oh no, they were evil black skinned demons with fiery red eyes and talons for hands. Tears streamed down his face as his body endured the first row of pain, his mind continued to distort the world around him, and his screams filled the room.

User ImageWhen his microbots found Gabe, Lotor's vision turned red. He snarled and snapped the two foot chains holding him as if they were nothing. The microbots shifted around him, waiting for their orders as more joined them, the rest of his top shifting to his little helpers. "Get everyone not part of the company out. If they work here, they die." The bot scattered to do his bidding. Two remained to guide him to Gabe and Lotor took off at a run. Anythign and anyone that got in his way was torn to shreds by his claws as the madness of an endangered mate took over. He didn't care how many he killed, he only felt vindictive joy at the destruction. He was shot and stabbed by the guards he passed, but he didn't notice, too focused on getting to Gabriel.

When they reached the medical rooms where they were torturing his mate, Lotor torn the door from it's hinges. He jumped on the first person he saw and ripped them in two. He tore through the room, leaving nothing but blood and death in his wake. He walked up to Gabe and saw the man wasn't all there. Something was wrong. Lotor had enough presence of mind to grab the jar of whatever they had injected Gabriel with. he tore off the bindings holding Gabriel and picked the human up carefully. "It's ok," he whispered, countering the man's struggles, "It's ok. You're safe." He turned and ledt, allowing his microbots to take care of the rest. When they were out of the building, Lotor turned and looked at the hellish place. His microbots had returned, meaning they had completed the jobs he'd given them. "Destroy it." They disappeared and Lotor began to run away. They were a ways away when there was an explosion. If there was anyone left alive when Lotor left that hell hole, they were dead now. The building had been leveled, the only thing the microbots had left in tact was the records of their illegal work.

Lotor didn't stop running until he arrived at his lair. He took Gabe in and straight to his medical area. He placed Gabe on one of the soft beds and began to work towards learning the properties of what he'd been given and it's effects on the human. "It's ok, Gabe, it's going to be ok," he said over and over, trying to convince himself as well.

Gabriel

The doctors had not expected Lotor to suddenly appear with a door in his hands. And they were not prepared for the rage he exerted. So obviously they were easy to deal with, and Lotor made short work of them. Screaming rang in Gabriel’s ears, which only increased his own panic as the sounds echoed and bounced, morphing in his drugged mind. He tried thrashing when someone came towards him, but every part of him was strapped down. “No! No!” he screamed, unable to see the man before him as a friend. The bindings were torn off and immediately he flailed at the nearest person, hitting anything he could in his haste. Strong hands eventually grabbed his wrists and pulled him against his chest, restraining his movements. He turned his head to bite at the wall that was keeping him from moving, but something broke through the haze in his mind. Tears continued to stream as he listened to Lotor’s voice… the only sound that wasn’t screaming at him. He curled in on himself, digging his nails into his arms, squeezing his eyes shut. Still the horrible images and sounds haunted him. Whimpering and speaking to himself, he felt himself being carried.

More light, but at least now the air did feel as heavy. Gabriel struggled again at the light, but curled into Lotor’s chest whenever he could hear Lotor’s voice. He returned to whimpering and talking to himself softly as Lotor ran. To Gabriel, it was only a blink of an eye before they were in another room and he was being laid down again. He freaked again, struggling to sit up. Wide eyes, dilated pupils searched the new room, but it was hard to tell if Gabriel was actually seeing it. “No! No!” he struggled, nearly throwing himself off the bed. Hands buried themselves into his hair and pulled as knees pulled into his chest. “Make it stop!” he started to repeat that over and over again, frantically. Lotor’s voice broke through the haze again and Gabriel stopped his ranting, taking a breath, but still pulled in on himself, almost like he was holding himself together. “Wrong… feels wrong… no more!” He hid his face behind his knees again and rocked as he spoke to himself again.

User ImageLotor was calming down, his anger being pushed down as he focused on helping Gabriel. Whatever they had given him made the man see things that weren't there. He turned quickly when Gabe moved from the bed. "Gabriel," he murmured. It seemed his voice was helping the man, maybe he should keep speaking? "My machines are working an antidote, Gabriel. You'll be ok. It's going to be ok." He walked over and hugged the man, speaking to him softly until he heard his machine announce the antidote was complete. "Shhh, shhh." He didn't want to leave Gabe so he simply picked the man up and held him with an arm under his butt. He walked over to read the data and possible side effects. One of which was a temporarily increased libido, but considering the state Gabe was in, he doubted the man would be wanting sex. He took the syringe from where it had been filled and held Gabe close so he could inject it as quickly as possible. "This will help, I promise. You'll feel better. It's going to be ok, Gabe. We will get you cleaned up, I promise." He felt a little dizzy and looked down at himself. He had several bleeding marks across his body where he'd been hit by the company's weapons, but he'd focus on that once he was sure Gabe was ok.

"Gabe, are you with me?" he asked gently, "You're hurt, sweetie. I need to treat your wounds. Will you be ok if I put you on the bed?" he would hold the human for as long as he wanted, Gabe wasn't bleeding badly. The damned doctors had only just started their horrible plans and they's wanted Gabe to last a long, long time.

Gabriel

Gabriel flinched, whimpering when Lotor hugged him. But the sound of his voice lulled him into a sense of security, even if there was a dragon at the foot of the bed. He turned into the male, pressing his forehead into curve of Lotor’s neck. He was shaking, trembling as machines made horrible beeping noises and monster clawed out from the darkness. Breathing hitched when Lotor picked him up, but otherwise he remained still, whispering to himself about monsters and darkness and pain. With everything else seemingly going on in Gabe’s head, he didn’t even notice the syringe. He definitely felt it though… the drug made the simple needle p***k feel so much worse than he actually was. One hand grabbed Lotor’s, the one that was injecting him, and he tried to fight him, even as the soft voice told him it was alright. He shook his head frantically, but he was obviously not strong enough to fight Lotor, not even under the best circumstances, which this was not.

The antidote started to work almost as quickly as the drug had set in. Within a few minutes, it was already easier to focus on Lotor’s voice. The darkness that threatened his vision started to fade. His body slowly stopped trembling. He turned his head slightly when Lotor addressed him. He felt so tired, weak, but he nodded softly. His heart rate started to relax, along with his breathing as Lotor took him back to the bed. He could finally see the world around him as he laid back. And finally, for the first time since this all stared, he stared at Lotor and saw him. And the sight made his heart race again. “You-you’re bleeding?” His eyes trialed down the male’s body. He struggled but managed to sit up, adrenaline kicking in now that he was aware of Lotor’s condition. “You’re bleeding.” He said more confidently, shaking his head to try and rid himself of the hazy that threatened his mind. His first instinct was to apply pressure to the wound. So he reached out to do just that, ignoring the fact that his own body was beaten and bleeding, that Lotor’s blood was blue instead of red (that should he another question to ask later), and that Lotor was splattered with crimson blood, blood obviously not his own.

User ImageLotor was glad the antidote was working. "thank you, are you ok? I'm sorry, Gabe, I have no idea how they found us." He looked down at his torso when Gabriel commented that he was bleeding. "Yeah kind of lost it back there." And that was something he was going to have to study later. Why had he acted like his mate was in danger? Yes, he'd shared scent with Gabe, but only soul bonded mates would ever go into such a rage when one was in danger. Had his body been so starved that it considered Gabe his mate? Impossible, they didn't have the soul bond. Just sharing scent didn't cause that, unless... He was so focused on his reaction, he didn't notice Gabe's hand until it was too late.

Warmth seared through him from his side where Gabe's hand was pressed to his bleeding wound. Lotor looked down and saw the human was bleeding from a cut on his wrist. The blood had dripped down to his palm where it was mingling with his own. "No-" he felt his eyes widening as he felt the warmth spread from his side, up to his heart and down his right arm. He looked at his wrist and saw the mark of a soul bond rising in crisp black lines. It was unique to him, his soul bond, a merging of himself and his mate. "How?" he met Gabe's eyes and looked at his right wrist, breathing a sigh of relief when it was blank. But then he remembered. Gabe's heart was on his left, he looked and there it was, the matching mark. "Gabriel-" he breathed, "You're...you're my mate."
