Day # 30 Theme: Dia de la Muertos  Comments:Soooooooo Dante is a royal pain to draw! Especially as an alebrije! I spent so long shading/working on Miguel that I just really don't feel like working on Dante rofl Also I know that the Miguel I have drawn has a more narrow face than the one in the movie reference gonk I'm still proud of this!

Day # 31 Theme: Bee(sorta??)/monochrome purple/violet/Lily  Comments: So I used 3 different art programs to get this image done. I wanted to test out some different things, I was going to just try a standard sketch of a Lily, but I'm honestly glad that I ended up doing this. I used art rage for the "watercolor" honey combs, then I used Krita to draw the lily, and I used Sai to edit the saturation/color of the honeycombs. I think it turned out pretty interesting.

Day # 33 Theme:Crown  Comments:I'm rather displeased with this. It's probably because no matter how well I do to other people it seems that Kingdom Hearts fan artist what I judge myself on the most. So maybe I'll try again some other day.

Day #34 Theme: Hospital  Comments:Hospitals really freak me out, a good portion of that has to do with the Silent hill series rofl Wheelchairs that are out and about in random places make me sick to my stomach haha. Also, I decided to draw this when I got home from work and it's already dark outside. Because I am a super frugal person, I generally don't have my lights on in my house, so now I'm sitting in the dark looking at creepy reference images and being general afraid of most things right now lol Also, this was a personal goal for me to draw something fully body. It's a weak point of mine for sure. Also a WIP for now, I'm getting ready to head out with a few friends, and I wanted to post this just in case I didn't finish it.

Day #37 Theme: Beach  Comments:I started out with a completely different Kingdom Hearts picture, but I hated the fact that I couldn't get it to look the way I wanted to, so I tried this instead. I'm actually okay with trying this because it gave me a chance to work on one of the things that makes me uncomfortable and that's backgrounds and landscapes as a whole. I'd like to finish this at some point.

Redraw a 5-year or older drawing that you used to love Original  Re-draw  Click on the pictures to see them larger. Comments: Whew boy. So, I started this image as an entry to an art contest where the top prize was an angelic halo (before RIGs came out) It was hosted by keiiii. It was for art featuring her characters from her now discontinued web comic Haru-sari. At the time that I drew this, I had just given birth to my daughter and was confined to my house a lot. I was struggling a lot with depression and while I ended up sketching out a lot of art, this was by far my favorite piece I did for the contest. I spent a very long time on this piece. I didn't win (for very obvious reasons now rofl ) I remember having my feelings hurt by someone after asking for help and them getting frustrated because I couldn't properly follow a reference lol Currently for this piece I have about 4 -5 references open. I'm not perfect by any means, but I do feel I've improved quite a bit honestly.

Theme: Finish/improve an earlier work from this event
Comments: It's no where near being done, but I adjusted the hair (I made it look less like magical flying around to sorta floaty. I think it looks better. I also adjusted the way her body looked, it was a bit too long and awkward earlier. So hopefully it looks better.

I forgot how long it takes for me to color with colored pencils haha. It was definitely good practice though. My slimy monster friend makes another appearance in the challenge! He's made a nice scarf for his friend bison monster. Its supposed to be chilly tonight. Can't go scaring children in the cold.
