Theme: The worst present
As I woke up, heart beating fast
This joyful feeling, sure to stay
I walk on out, it did not last
That joyful feeling, went away
As I look, heart stopping fast
That sorrowed feeling, makes its say
And bites down hard, myself aghast
Oh please let it not be this way
One born, one dead, a stark contrast
To such a joyous happy day
I never wished you to have passed
Forever in my heart you'll stay
Comments: In loving memory to my first dog who we found had died at the age of 8 on my birthday of all days. Rest in peace Ben.

Day # 33 Theme: Penguin  Comments: Just a flying penguin. The idea didn't work out too well because due to the perspective of the plane, the penguin would be friggin' tiny (EVEN tinier than it is!) So, there was a trade-off. Super king-size penguin.

Day # 34 Theme: Stitch  Comments: Was considering a voodoo doll sort of creepy thing but time limitations stifled creativity, so here's Stitch. He turned out nicely but I'm sad I didn't do shading on the body so it feels a little two-dimensional. Maybe this could be improved for a future art project.

Day # 35 Theme: India  Comments: Honestly not too happy with this. Two of my pencils decided to snap midway through finishing, putting a horrendous red scar down the left side AND horribly childish yellow shading. Also the turban didn't quite turn out how I wanted, but I now dub this.,.. ...please shoot me in advance... Sikh-achu.

Day # 40 Theme: Salamander  Comments: Just a quick sketch of a salamander in the grass. The legs look off, they're meant to be hidden by the grass but instead they look like stumps. This makes me sad but generally I enjoyed the shading, even if it isn't that good.
