"That sounds quite similar to the ability of intuitive aptitude, but with a few differences. I know of this one kid, his name is Axel and he's a German kid who wants to be a musician, and he has that. He said his power allows him to instantly learn and understand the complexity and exactness of organisms, objects, and so on without the need of long-term or special education. Like, he can just watch someone do something and he can understand it completely. He also has power mimicry through empathy so I reckon you two might bond well since your powers are so similar," he mentioned.
"As for my powers," he began, "I have disease detection and mental healing. That means I can sense the presence of diseases and gain detailed understanding about them. So I can be in the presence of someone and I can tell if they have a virus or bacteria and even further to see if it's something like a tumor or cancer. With mental healing it means I can heal mental illnesses, disorders and other forms of mental trauma, to their healthy state and reverse the effects of mental tampering, such as mind control or memory loss."
He was interested to see how things would play out in Magic Studies, but more than that he wanted to get started on his medical studies. He was majoring in the general branch, with minors in more specific fields. Nothing would be perfect, only a residency would feel like a start to his career, but he needed the steps to get there. And that was his education.

I don't see Leora wanting to get between people, but she could be his interest for a time because of their shared class of psychology.
Ebony didn't know how much longer she could sit and be bored. She knew her business classes, her major, wouldn't be the best thing in the world for her, but she needed it if she wanted to run her own circus. She could deal with the major class because she was learning something. This was just boring and bland and meh. She let out a sigh, kicking her feet and tugging at the curls in her hair. "I'm bored" she complained.

Axel almost had the sense that someone was talking about him, but he couldn't tell who, where, or why. He brushed it off as being paranoid, but it was likely someone near him with psychic abilities that he was feeding off of. His powers were like that, he often didn't know whose ability he had until he paid attention. He missed the simplicity of just understanding things. Now he copied them without even intending to. He looked at Ebony when she complained, "so is everyone else. Shush."
Leora was sitting in the upper stands on the opposite side to most of the other students. She was doodling in the corner of her books, pretty fairies and celtic knotwork. She enjoyed drawing when she was bored. Anything to keep her busy was good. But, there were times when curling up with a good book was all she wanted. As an extrovert, but not as extreme as Ebony, she liked being active. If the petition to cancel Blending Into Society as a morning mandatory class did go through, she would use the morning as a gym session.
Esmeralda listened as he explained an ability that was similar to hers. "Wow his ability seems to go far more in -depth then mine does I have to do quite a bit of observing or actual learning to imprint an ability" she said. "Maybe. Hopefully I'll bump into him on campus or in classes" she said then listened as he explained his own ability.
"That is amazing Noah. You're ability will help you a lot in your career" she said smiling. "Youre going to be a phenomal doctor" she told him. It seemed most people had stopped paying attention to the principal. .

That sounds like a cute idea! Like, perhaps they are practicing on their own outside of Magic Studies and an arguement begins (perhaps about Kolya wanting to tell his family about his sexuality or something) and Jace doesn't want to hear it and bam. Like, perhaps the shadows that Jace controls attack him or scratch him or something. So he goes to Leora because she's light and everything. But she kind of just tells him that darkness thrives in it's own element; aka he needs to be with Kolya and confront their issues. And once he admits his flaws and embraces everything, his powers are a lot more controllable.

Kimberly noticed the subtle changes in the noises around her; the build of conversations, texting noises, camera clicks. No one seemed to be even paying attention to the principal. He tried his best to keep everyone focused, but even he could see the failure. His voice changed and he was more or less reading a script. She felt sorry for him, she knew it was likely a few minutes before the end of the class when he'd say Blending Into Society was no longer required. She just hoped that Magic Studies would be extra student points to make up for it. Time would tell.
"I think it's safe to say no one is paying attention. On the bright side, we only have 15 minutes left at this point," Kolya said. He was speaking at a normal level, as was almost every other student around him. He was sympathetic to the principal trying to keep the attention of the students, but it was lost at this point. He was going through the motions now, nothing else. Forensic Science was next for him and Jace and he was looking forward to it. He might consider changing one of his minors to Police Law, to allow him a better chance of getting into the police force after graduation. It was the only way for him to be a homicide detective. Anything was worth a try for his dream career.
Jace was glad getting a little energy boost when Kolya said they only had 15 minutes left. "I mean you can't blame them. Even the principal gave up halfway through" he told him. He finished up the coffee Kolya had given him and looked to Ebony and Axel. "Yeah we all are" he said agreeing with Axel's comment. He sighed sitting in his seat. "I wonder how the rest of our classes our going to go" he said looking to Kolya. He pushed back his white hair and took off his glasses. His eyes were actually a muted red color with tinges of hazel.

Ah, yes, I forgot about that part. I wouldn't see them as a couple lasting too long. He likes pretty much everything she doesn't and vice versa. But I guess that's the point. That in Jack's case, opposites don't attract.

Kimberly chuckled to the statement, everyone was over the first class of the year. What a terrible start, she guessed the principal was thinking, but the day still had plenty of classes to go. Majors and minors still had to be done, much to the relief of some students. She sat quietly, thinking about how her own Creative Writing major would go. She figured Jade and Kolya would have one another for their entertainment ifbthe class of Forensic Science got boring. Lol ya had already mentioned switching his first minor into Police Science, which she was interested in. It was probably along the lines of a basic police course to get into the force after graduation.
Kolya chuckled, "I don't think any other class could be this boring. Safe to say the remaining classes should be exciting. I met our Forensic Science teacher, mister Torvald, he's a nice guy. He also does martial arts and fitness. So we will see him a lot."
Jace had forgotten that Kolya mentioned meeting their teacher before. "Well I definitely will be. I have him for forensics and martial arts. I'm also still debating between swimming and Krav Maga though" he said putting his glasses back on.

"Powers or not, I aspire to learn everything I can. When it comes to surgical means and diagnoses, my powers cannot help there. I don't want to use my powers to save lives, but they can be a back-up if I run out of options," he said.
He looked at his watch and was relieved that there was only 10 minutes left. As much as he wanted to spend the day talking to Esmeralda, he needed to focus on his classes. He knew it was a short walk to the Edward Jenner Hall of Health. He was one of a handful of students who knew that Edward Jenner was the physician responsible for developing a cure for smallpox, the first vaccine in history. Each of his classes would be in the same hall, with the exception of his extra-curricular of Book Club. That meant he seldom had to stray far, as many students did. It just meant he had to walk further to the cafeteria and food trucks for lunch and dinner.
It is going to be fun building the bromance towards romance and then let it crash into the dirt. I can see Kolya being a depressive mess after that, not talking to anyone in the group and being all isolated. Would their pairing name be Jalya or Connekenty?
Oh, and what martial art is Jace doing?

Kimberly was putting things in her bag, making sure she was mentally and physically ready for her Creative Writing class. This was the class that meant the most to her, as she wanted to be an author, and this would help her achieve that. She wanted to excel, surpass every expectation imaginable, to be the best she could be. She wanted to not only tell the stories from her imagination, but to inspire future authors as she was. She wasn't in it for the fame or money, but for the experience and the desire to share her creations.
Kolya let out another chuckle when he mentioned the weekend classes. "Krav Maga is what I'm taking, but it's up to you in the end. You can always switch the weekend classes in another term if you aren't happy," he admitted. He didn't know whether he would switch extra-curriculars each term or stick to something, it depended on how the class went. He wanted to try Krav Maga for self-defense and for the reason of keeping active. It wasn't a necessity for him, it's not like he was unfit, but there was no harm either.
Hunter was busy drawing tattoo designs halfway through the supposed lesson when Ebony complained about being bored. He looked over, let out a laugh, and gave a shrug in response. He was happy drawing in his sketchbook, especially since he had the option to tattoo students during free times. He knew he'd do it on the weekends, as he would need to recover from his studies during the week. Nora was more than ready to leave and go to her classes. Social Work was a class that very few people were taking, especially this term. She was told when she enrolled into it that there was only twelve students, compared to most majors with over 100 students in them. She would have a lot of time and space to herself. True, she wanted to break out of her shell, but not this moment. "ι נυѕт ωαηт тσ gєт συт σƒ нєяє..." she muttered to herself.
Meera had arrived to the school late the pevious night and was still jet-lagged. Getting to Canada from India took a lot of times and many lay-overs, and the last flight was delayed and landed around three in the morning. Jace listened to Kolya and nodded. "Yeah that's true" he said. He looked to Hunter when he talked about getting lots of drawing done. "Sounds exciting. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work" he said smiling.

Esmeralda nodded. "Well despite your abilities I know you'll be a phenomenal doctor. You study so hard and you're constantly learning" she told him. "You work so hard it's hard to picture you not going far in your career" she added and put her journal and pen away in her bag. She hoped her classes would go well. She was sure she would have a hard time with some people but that was to be expected. She pulled out an old book of monologues that she was always reading. She had most of them memorized but she still loved to read them. it was pretty worn out now since she's had it for years.

Before she could say something, the bell rang. Students bolted for the 6 main doors in and out of the Arena. She remained sitting, waiting until there was less of a crowd passing through. "I guess I'll meet you guys at the Food Trucks around lunch?" she said, slinging her bag over her shoulders. She knew it would be a rather interesting time without her friends, but hopefully she'd make a friend in Creative Writing. If not, she had her minors to see if someone would make a good addition to the group. "Off on a solo adventure now," she said with a wink to Jace and Kolya. It was their saying when they first met, and it was going to be a group saying now.
Kolya was thankful that the bell rang, knowing full well that Forensic Science was going to be fun with Jace in the same class. He gathered his things and knew that he and Jace only had 5 minutes to run clear across campus to make it to their major on time. "We'll see you there!" he said, tapping Jace's arm to signal their need to hurry. They didn't want Mr. Torvald to get the wrong impression that they would be late on the first day. He started running down the stairs, feeling the need to sprint at full speed, but not wanting to leave Jace behind.

Vera let out a sigh of relief now that Blending Into Society was over. She would have to make a mad dash to get to Sigmund Freud Hall in the five minutes between classes. She didn't want to miss Public Relations for the world, knowing how vital it would be if she wanted to be a translator in the world. She still had her heart set on working at the United Nations, alongside many world-class translators. How many of them had powers, or how many similar to hers? It was something she wanted to know and know soon. She walked as quickly as she could out of the Arena and bolted out, following the paths towards the southern end of the campus. Her building wasn't as far as Marie Curie Hall, for example, but was still nearby. She didn't have the luxury of waiting and walking, taking her time for a leisurely stroll.

He was being truthful, but didn't want Esmeralda to put people down at the same time. There was a fine line to walk when it came to drama, the class, something he knew little about as a medical major. He noticed the bell ring and sighed. He wanted more time to talk to Esmie, but she was going to be in the Theater Stages, close to the Arena, while he was in a different building. He put his bag on his shoulders and stood. "Well, I'll have to see you at lunch then. I can always message you where to meet," he said with a wide grin.

He Didn't stay to talk to anyone, mostly because he was one of the few who had dedicated himself to listening to the principal. Not that it was something he wanted to, but he was being respectful. He wanted to be there for his class early, so once he was outside the Arena, he bolted towards the Alexander Graham Bell Hall of Engineering. He dodged students along the way, slowing only around corners.

Kaihe got up and stretched, knowing he had time to make it to the Theater Stages for Dance. He was excited to do something, be active and get to know other dancers. He was wondering if there would be more males in the class, or if he'd be the only one. He hoped he wasn't the only one, but because it would be embarrassing, but because it was likely due to a social stigma that dancing was for women more than men. He stood up, towering over many students with his 6' 5" height, ready to start the day.
Jace nodded. "Alright see you at Lunch. Good luck" he told Kimberly-Anne as she left. Jace looked at Kolya when he gave him the signal and nodded running after him. He could have tried traveling through the shadows but he had never brought another person with him. He didnt know what effect it would have on them so he didnt bother suggesting it.
