He woke up, to her mild surprise, but that emotion faded. She pulled her hand back. Was she trying to get his attention? It was a side effect, she couldn't deny, but now that he was awake, she had nothing to say to him.
"This isn't a sleeping place." No chair was comfortable. Not any in her experience. But, unable to say more, and distracted by the words below and how the room suddenly hushed, she braced her hands on her armored knees and peered over the people the best she could so that she could watch what was happening below.
A lot of talking. A lot of attention given to the talker below. And there was the lady from before, standing and being watched by a lot of strangers. She hadn't seen a congregation this big before. She hadn't heard these words spoken in this kind of context before.
So, what exactly was going on? She wondered airily as she studied the faces of the crowd in the balcony about her and from what she could see of the faces below.

Eli Whitestone
Silence fell and the months of anticipation finally came to a head. Eli heard the steps as the bride came into the room but he didn't look. Not yet. He kept his gave on his friend Xenon and a wide smile crawled over his face as he saw the joy in his friend. Such uninterrupted happiness was something that was hard to come by and in all his years he had rarely seen it as pure as it seemed painted on Xenon's face. He was happy for his friend, shown by his smile, until the moment that Lafolia came into view. When she did, Eli's smile fell and his expression took on that of someone who had been genuinely surprised by something for the first time in more than a few eons. Yet it did not appear to be a pleasant surprise. The smile faded and Eli's face hardened into anger. His limp hands balled into fists and he narrowed his eyes at Xenon. Traitor. A lone thought in Eli's mind as he watched the entire ceremony with near fuming rage. Lafolia was much more than Xenon had told him, perhaps much more than Xenon knew, but Eli didn't care. What he had seen when he looked at Lafolia filled him with such unfiltered rage that Xenon was lucky Eli hadn't struck him there. He was too baffled by what was happening to fully process the words that were spoken and so Eli would have to forever, or until one of them died which might be soon, have to hold his peace. The worst part about it all was that even despite his control, Eli's hands had begun to glow as his power funneled to them. His primal instinct telling him to attack. Each piece of the puzzle fell in line in his head and Eli came to one conclusion. Xenon wanted war.

Etsuyo simply offered Lacie and Kouen a small grin as she glanced back at the two. " My job is how I have fun, dear." She giggled playfully beneath her breath, weaving between various people, tables, and other obstacles. The wedding was well underway and all that was left for Etsuyo was to stand watch in her assigned place. She was fully intent on doing that, well, until the bride made her way to the altar. The kitsune may have been blind but very little escaped her senses. Oh my, what have we here? A viper in the grass? She thought rather loudly but in a chipper tone. Anyone with telepathy could've picked up on it. The woman whisked her finger around in a circle and slipped behind the pillar she was located next to. Sighing, she would focus her ki and release the power she frequently kept hidden. Granted she only hid her tails and truest form because SOMEONE likes petting her tails. When Etsuyo returned to her position her tails could be seen swaying just below the black fabric of her cheongsam. It was a subtle transformation of sorts but enough to make her feel prepared. It wasn't hard to miss the sudden power flowing from the King of Valaria. She would turn her attention towards his general direction well aware he out powered her significantly. Still she sent a message his way telepathically, certainly her would wait until after the vows to cause problems? King Whitestone of Valaria, If you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape a hundred days of sorrow. No revenge is more honorable than the one not taken. She had hoped to whisper some sense to the man. If he were to be consumed by his rage however she was prepared to defend Xenon and his children. Primarily his children, she was well aware of what Xenon could do and that the other admins were prepared to defend him. She would be the one to remove Lacie, her date, and Isuma from the situation if it devolved. Hopefully it wouldn't but Etsuyo would remain in position until action was necessary.

Several bottles of brown liquor and Abryon was buzzed enough to tolerate the mediocrity of the ceremony. After much anticipation, the music signaling the bride's arrival, and hearing the hall doors open. All in all it was a beautiful ceremony, but it seemed all to peaceful, and Abryon was starting to get bored. Though he'd have some entertainment as the official conducting the ceremony asked if there is a reason why Xenon & his bride should not be married. Simultaneously Abryon, along with anyone with a significant amount of skill and power, could sense a subtle in power. Abryon however knew what it was, 100% pure unfiltered rage. Like a laser sight scope He zeroed in on the source, which surprised him to be known other than the all knowing Eli. Amazed that even he can be overcome by such an emotion, toward someone thought to be like a brother to Eli, made Abryon smile ear to ear. Seeing this as his que, since it seemed his fellow rulers were misbehaving in some manner, Abryon stood. The room fell dead silent, only allowing gasps to fill the room. Finishing off his 20th bottle of brandy, Abryon fixed his coat jacket before speaking. I dont beleive these two should be wed. Not because they dont deserve to be together, nor for the fact that she is far too good for him which we all know she is far too good for him. Its for the simple fact that by marrying into this family, into this kingdom, you are placing a rather large & increasingly loud target on your back my dear. You see in my years of dealing and observing Usken machinations, ive learned that death is a more than frequent thing here. The woman you are replacing died of illness. The country's origin started with a parent killing off his children or something of that nature. This country is soaked with death and destruction, lives that some may never even knew existed. And yet here I am, Abryon Escolothe King of Noskium, leader of the morally degenerate beings of the world. I say that you should not be wed because by marrying into this country you are tying yourself with people who see themselves above others that they deem unfit to be seen as equals. It was quite evident when i walked into the room. The hushed whispers the idle gossip, the fear that the "Noskium King will bring miss fortune to this wedding". Though it seems that the misfortune may come from a source closer to you than you know, aye Eli? By marrying into this kingdom you are damning yourself to being a mere pawn just to be used to get to Xenon. How many nights will you be able to sleep knowing that one day you could be kidnapped and used as a bargining chip to use against the man you are about to say i do to? Is this really a life you want to live. Constantly looking over your shoulder not knowing when or where an ambush could come from. Not saying you can handle yourself Madam Sword Saint, but these are things one must consider when saying "till death do us part". Never know who may try to make it a reality. As i feel ive gone on for far too much time, ill end with this. I dont think you should marry him, not because im jealous of such a joyous occasion. I revere Xenon greatly since meeting him on the battlefield many years ago. I say that you shouldnt marry him or into this kingdom simply because i know what hidden dangers come with this land and the man that rules it, and i rather not see someone who is still getting use to it be harmed or worse die. Taking his seat he could feel the heated gazes of everyone in th room, which didnt bother him in the least, as he turned and gave everyone who was unfortunate to lock eyes with him a good scare, revealing his true face, instantly silencing anyone that would dare voice their opposition of what he had said. Now all that was left to do was sit back and see how things would turn out. Looking over he saw a woman, salt & pepper hair, a face of a divine being. It caused him to raise and eyebrow and smirk. Catching the sleeve of one of the servers, he ordered another 3 bottles of brandy and sent a bottle of wine to the woman.
☪ xxxxAwaiting for the rest to happen, Derek overhead Lacie greet him and his mother. Then straight to asking where her brother was. "Hm? Lace, we've known each other for years. No need for formalities. No need to use your prissy royalty on any of us at this table. But in actuality, I haven't seen your brother all day. He probably found a spot to sleep and not get caught until the wedding starts. Typical I'd say."
☪ xxxxThankfully however, the bells had rang as the woman to be married started walking for the entire crowd. Lord Fourth had become extremely emotional, something that Derek hasn't actually seen from him ever since he's known him. Stern and strong is something he always was, seeing something like this was quite a sight to behold. The wedding continued as normal with the speeches and formalities. But it took a drastic turn when the one to marry them both asked if there is any reason these two should not be wed, the man who walked in the door late actually stood up and started speaking as to why he feels they shouldn't. What had shocked everyone was exactly WHAT he said.
☪ xxxxDerek looked on to the male, eyes widened at the surprise of the boldness the man had possessed. Literally putting the entire region on blast on such history for how they were and because of that could be a viable option for her not to marry. On one end, he had some points! Marrying into the family did come at its cost, but Derek knew this family personally. He knew that even if that was the case, it wouldn't cause too much pressure cause they actually look out for one another. But what really got his attention was the origins. A man killing his children? That can't really be true, even though from what Derek had known, the beginning family was massacred along with another royal family. Even if it were to be true, that is no business to say in a setting like this. It's almost as if he wanted to cause strife and why?! The man sat down to order more bottles to drink, Derek took note that he must be simply drunk and not know better, but either way...it wouldn't be surprised if Lord Fourth or anyone up there to be embarrassed by the unnecessary statements from the Noskium King.
❖❖The overwhelming feeling of radiating anger sent a cold shiver crawling up Kouen's spine as he gazed back towards his date. It should've been something minor and easy to ignore, considering the moment only lasted for a split second. But the look in Princess Mirai's eyes reflected a sinister presence unlike anything he ever felt from the young woman. Even from the passionate flames endlessly kindled within his heart, the divine soldier couldn't help but feel a sense of dread settle over his mood. It was almost as if someone else was peering from the inside of those pupils of hers, looking out through the world in a way only a stranger to it ever could. Feeling his grip on her hand slowly slip away without realizing it, the Adonis merely stood there with an uneasy look on his face as Lacie was distracted by another guest. It was the same gaze that they fixated him with long ago.He could accept being looked down upon by the citizens of the kingdom they came to protect and love more than anything. The whispers behind his back of his mysterious origins and the feelings of misplacement within the ranks of his fellow soldiers were his burden to bear. But to feel something so cold and judgmental from one of his closest friends? A flare of pain ached somewhere in Kouen's chest, but the warrior pushed down his own worries swiftly. Whatever mood that crossed over his date seemed to have passed smoothly, with Lacie addressing him afterwards in a rather silly manner that was much more befitting of the woman he knew. 'Keep it under control,' he thought. Forcing a timid grin, despite knowing that a few others who were staring at the rather cute exchange between them, his words failed him. No matter how much Kouen dug, his thoughts remained blank as felt Lacie tug him along after slipping her hand into his.❖❖
❖❖"U-Uh, don't sweat it, Princess. Guess I just gotta, er, up my game some..."❖❖
❖❖The next couple of minutes went by in a blur and before he knew it, Kouen felt himself calmly sitting down next to Derek at their assigned table. The troubled, serious look on his face hadn't faded since earlier, but there were too many things on the young man's mind for him to display his laid-back nature. Even though such a special evening should've been reserved for pleasantries, something within the air gave him a bad feeling. It felt like a bomb was just waiting to go off and the previous encounter with his date certainly hadn't helped calm his rampant thoughts that now clouded his mind. The sounds of Lacie and Derek speaking sounded like empty static noise as the soldier concentrated on the three rulers from up above. The powerful wave of anger that seemed to surrounded the one to the side hadn't gone unnoticed. Narrowing his eyes slightly, Kouen could feel every muscle in his body tensing in preparation for something to to go wrong. But the surprise that he felt from the mounting layers of killing intent that Eli possessed was only trumped by the sudden announcement from Abryon. His eyes widened slightly in shock at the brazen disrespect that the commander delivered towards their superior, before it swiftly transformed to anger. How dare he?! Did he not have a shred of honor or decency? Regardless of his past with the others or his position, Kouen had to force himself to remain seated before he did something he would regret. After all, no matter how furious he became, the inebriated warrior was still far beyond the realm of a man such as himself. While some truth lay within the forest of his brash words, it was beyond appalling to see everyone being forced to endure the presence of such a rude b*****d. Speaking under his breath and aiming his words towards no one at the table in particular, Kouen's eyes remained locked on Abryon.❖❖
❖❖"Tch. You damned vermin. Watch your tongue and remember where you are. To do something like this on their very wedding day?! This guy is itching for something and I'm beginning to lose my patience. To think he's capable of lookin' down on all of us from that place..."❖❖

✖Lacie nearly wanted to pounce and maul Derek for his insult just for her manners. Really must this man no child be so disrespectful? compared to his mother Derek was completely different in every way. Poor woman having to deal with such a child. Lacie was about to give a calming remark towards his attitude, but something else caught her attention as well as got her blood boiling.
Today was a day of joy and new beginning's, even if the princess was against it, she dared not want it ruined for her father. It seemed someone else had a different agenda well two to be exact. King Eli and Abryon had turned a joyous occasion into a chaotic whorl pool within seconds upon seeing her future mother. What reason though was she a pervious lover of one of the two?? No impossible her father fiancé had voice in many occasions that she was only intimate with Xenon and no one else "she wouldn't dare." Then why? Then why as she walked up to her father did this happen! A bride is meant to bring a calming atmosphere not a chaotic one. Her anger wasn't primarily towards her thought. No King Abryon had her full undivided attention something she felt he wanted nothing more of. Seems the rumors where true about how he was a man that strived off these situation. He was doing a swell dam job. People began to whisper the harshes of thing about the bride and groom. Some even dared to speak negative of her deceased mother. Breathing in she got up quickly from her chair taking a passive aggressive stance. Voices stopped and the room got quiet. All eye where on the princess watching every breath she took and her movements like a hawk.
"How unfortunate that you where the one to stir such a commotion among my people, but I will thank you for now I know they do not hold such loyalist if they dare speak negatively of the future Queen and current King of this fine nation over a simple history lesson.
I must say why bring up are past? what did it get you may I ask? you stirred only the snakes not the lions. You got nothing but negative stares and putting more truth in the horrible lies your own and many other speak of you. Are you okay with this?? I wouldn't be if I was a King, but that must mean you are not a king no no sir you are worse you are a dictator feeding off the rage, fear, and uncertainty of not only your own people but your allies as well. I believe if I got a dictionary out the word 'scum' would not be hard to find along with many other disgusting words when trying to find words that describe you.
I will not say much about my countries history for if the people in this room read or cared to they would've already known such dark statements. I will say though what nation isn't built on such history WHAT NATION WAS BUILT ON POSITIVE ACTION MAY I ASK YOU ALL?!?!!!
None that right each nation has a dark past and a pile of dead bodies underneath its ground, but my nation is different from your Abryon you want to know how. My father and those before him worked to make up for what are ancestors did to show we evolved from savages to warriors. Something you haven't don't yet I see Mr. Abryon perhaps take a lesson and you wont be so lonely in bed at night.
As for my mother yes she died of illness how does that pertain to anything? she was a fighter that fought against your Kingdome before you become allies with us. Her illness was of natural causes as well not because she took my fathers hand so Ms. Lafolia will not fall under this idiotic curse you so childishly made up.
Plus do not make me laugh you care for no one Mr. Abryon all you care about it putting the fear into weak minded people even if it is your own. So don't you dare play the 'knight in shinning armor' card for you are nothing more then the sinister aura that creates the creatures in legend.
More over thats all you will be a 'character reference' for those with similar personas to your own. You want to know why? because people like you either die or in your case become the stronger opponents 'ally' because they cannot win. Isnt that right 'King of Noskiuim?"
By the end Lacie stood infront of the King of Noskium looking at him with cold blue eye waiting for his next move or response. Guest covering their mouths in shock of the princesses boldness and other just staring in aw, some zaibatsu veterans smiling seeing Loki in her.✖
Yuu sat at her table, observing the guests around her. Everyone was conversing with the people sitting at their table. She didn’t have anyone. It was fine, more food for her. She noticed Abryon was downing a lot of liquor, so much so that she could smell it from where she was. Suddenly, the music began, and Yuu turned her head to see the bride walking down the aisle. She was pretty, like really pretty. Of course, not to be bragging or anything, but their beauties clashed. God forbid her to wear white that day, even though it went well with her skin tone. As the vows were said, and the reading done, the priest asked if there were any objections. Now, being from Noskium, Yuu had expected her king to do something…in his drunken state. A wine bottle came over to her table, the waiter saying it was from Abryon. The female was taken aback from the kind gesture, and accepted it. She swirled the wine in her glass as Abryon spoke out. What he said sounded normal to her, but she also expected many people to come back and retaliate at him. First, it was the man closest to Lacie. Kouen? That was his name? Yuroichi simply turned to look at the speaker, hearing him say things to Abryon that made her sweet wine taste bitter. However, it wasn’t because that he was insulting just Abryon that made Yuu angry. No, it was because he said “that place,” referring to Noskium. “That place” has been her home for years, but it was due to its advances in technology that the scientist could create anything she fathomed. He belittled her creations by calling Noskium dirt. He spat on intelligence because of his distaste for what Abryon said. She kept quiet, the lights flickering in response to her anger.
Suddenly, the princess stood up and began to rant. It was understandable, she loved her nation, as much as Yuu loved her research. Whatever she said to her king was her opinion, but with every sentence she formed, her ears caught onto the change in her position due to sound. She was growing closer. And closer. And closer. The guests were in shock with how bold Lacie was, speaking in such manners to a drunken king. Yuu’s eyes filled with rage, as she stood so very close to the man that allowed her to be who she was today. The scientist stood up, her arm shooting between the two of them. Yuu wanted to shove the child away from Abryon, but doing so would have waged even more chaos in the room. However, she wouldn’t lie. If Lacie did not comply with her request, she will be shoved. All of the lights on the biggest chandelier broke, causing the room to become dim. Yuu’s body was between the two of them, her eyes a brilliant white as they glared down at Lacie.
“ Back. Off.”
She firmly said, her voice calm. If Lacie was not the princess, but another soldier, she would already been bleeding. Yuu respected the peace within the nations, and she didn’t care if they bickered over it, but as soon as someone as so much as tries anything on Abryon, Issa wrap.

Abryon was surprised, well he was actually relieved. Finally someone stood up to him, someone had the balls to challenge him instead of cowering in fear of his presence. Though as a smile painted his face, the lights dimmed for a moment and a woman, the very one with the salt & pepper hair, stood between him and the princess. Standing he placed a hand on the woman's shoulder. Its quite alright, she can do me no harm. He said as he began to circle her, like a shark that caught the scent of blood. Where to begin your majesty. Ah I know, Lets start with the first point you stated. Ive stirred the snakes not the lions as you said. But that was what i warning our lovely bride about. As you said, ive stirred the snakes. I rather her see how retched Usken politics can be before she seals the deal. This was merely to see her resolve as a woman. Continuing to circle the princess Cause its better to see the snake in person, rather then waiting for it to strike while you arent looking He says as a black vipers flicks her ear as it coils out from his sleeve. Now for your next point, your father and those before him have done nothing to make up for this country's past. He doesnt tell you everything, and history like many things can be changed. Have you ever wondered if certain events were re-written to spare Usken's feelings, egos, or credibility. Noskium has the reputation it has because we DON'T hide our dark sides. We embrace it and it has made us one of the top technological superpowers in this world next to Valaria. Usken wont admit when they have screwed someone over. He said stopping and looking at the princess.More over, i never made it up, nor did i call it curse. But history has shown that Usken Royal Houses tend to tear themselves apart for some reason. Now at this point his aura began to seep out, echos of whispers dancing through the air. Now as for your cliche' shots at my character let me educate all of you on some fun little facts about myself. At this point his right in front of her, tears of blood run down his eyes. You assume too much princess and you're making an a** out of yourself. Ive done many things, terrible things. Things that you clean handed uskens could never imagine. I was banished from my homeland, having to watch it be used by one of your own, watch it be abused and spoiled into destruction. To have to serve one of your own who's obsession with revenge almost tore my land apart! Tell me princess, do you know what its like to have to kill your own mother in order to protect yourself? To feel her life leave her body? DO ANY OF YOU KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE TO HAVE TO SUBJUGATE YOURSELF TO A RULER WHO ONLY SEES YOU AS A TOOL?! Of course not. Forgive me if i cant see the damn light your grace, ive been living in darkness & chaos far to long to allow myself to be beguiled into believing there is good in this world. You of all people have no right to lecture me, not while you have that demon resting in you. Oh yes, i can sense something of that nature hiding in there, its deliciously and malevolently evil in nature, just waiting for a chance to escape. I didnt pick up on but now that ive had the chance to read you a little more i know you have a great darkness to you. You can hide it from your father and the others, but it takes a demon to know one, and i see yours plain as day. SO I'LL BE DAMNED IF YOU SPIT DRIVEL SUCH AS THIS TO ME YOU SELF-RIGHTEOUS CUR! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND EDUCATE YOURSELF BEFORE YOU THINK YOU CAN TALK TO ME IN SUCH A MANNER YOUNG LADY! Saying his piece he hook the salt and peppered woman by her waist and sat her next to him. We should speak after this is over He whispered.
❉xx"I dont beleive these two should be wed." No! No! No! NO! Everything was going so smooth. It was going perfectly. It was just about over until that very sentence started it all. Looking over to the only man who would actually have any kind of sense to pull off something like this. The King of Noskium itself. Everyone went in shock, even Xenon was flustered. Immediately facepalming himself quickly from the embarrassment he had to funnel in at the expense of Abryon's drinking habits and his methods of entertainment. He can easily handled it as him being drunk and swiftly detain the situation and continue on...however all that went down the drain once his own daughter spoke up and retorted. Everything just shattered like glass at that moment.
❉xxHis anxiety and stress had overseen hits boiling point as Xenon had forcefully try to maintain his composure of what has become. A power of rage fueled like a rocket ready for launch had lit inside the King as he had to bear witness to his own daughter having to step in and try to defend him, the land and everyone who resides in it. On one end, it was truly noble and very much like her mother with the bold and strong mouth...however it made Xenon look like a complete fool and disrespected his position as the ruler. But that's not all that has triggered inside the King. She might be back. Slumbered so long in the chambers of his own daughter. Any day, ANY OTHER DAY would've been fine, but the fact it had to happen on the biggest day of Xenon's life to date put the man over the edge. Almost as if someone had flicked the switch, the Tyrant like Ruler of Usken had appeared once again in the form of a cameo take its place in the main spotlight of the show. To make matters even worse, Abryon got exactly what he had wanted, a rebuttal. Now he just had to fuel the pot that he had started. Confirming that she does live on, Xenon immediately flash stepped in between Abryon and Lacie with his back turned to her with him, glaring him as if he stared death itself in the face with the intent to kill. His voice deepened with maliciousness as he spoke to him. "You've said more than enough." Heat in the form of all the elements was faint but rose from his body, holding back every ounce of strength in not leveling the entire building and its entire structure over their heads and cause everyone to go under. Enough for Abryon to see he has taken it a bit too far. "You seem to have want an answer from my fiancé and she will give it to you. This wedding will continue as followed and it is everyones best. Interest. To return to their seats and let it finish as followed, if you can't simply conform to an easy task as that...the door is right over there." With that being said, the man slowly turned around to his daughter and knelt down enough to glare at her dead in the eyes. Even if he had tried to rest himself, he couldn't from the acts that have been caused. "Lacie...you are going to go back to your seat, and enjoy the rest of the ceremony and after everything is all over. You and I are going to have a long talk, do you understand me? Now return to your seats so dad can finish..." Breaking of his heart to speak to her in such a way that would sent chills and terrorize any child but what's done, is done. Standing straight back up, his cold eyes immediately traced itself over to Etsuyo, not even having the need to inform her that Lacie was her's to amend to, she's able to sense how his thoughts were the moment his power had flared. Slowly he looked around the entire lobby as he slowly returned to his spot in front of Eli who seemed angry himself but Xenon was way to stressed up to even acknowledge anything at this point. At this point, he really needed Lafolia to truly calm him down.

Tickle tickle. His eyes wince for a moment as he shakes his head a bit. He'd open his eyes slowly as he would feel his formal robbing stuck to the seat where he had laid down. His eyes looking a dreary shade of uncomfortable, while his mouth let out a soft yawn. It had started? He hadn't noticed as he slowly sat up next to the fox woman he had anticipated. His crystal blue eyes would lay in a half daze as he slowly began to shift in his lethargic state. The man's hand would lift to rub the nape of his neck as he blinked a bit. Though after a few moments, jovial smile crept across his face in an almost sinister fashion. His hand would move through his light hair as his blue eyes scanned the area and his head turned to the tail that brushed against him. "Is this the part where I say I object?" He'd jest while adjusting the now wrinkled silk. His mind was in the way of boggled as he looked at them, thinking of how he would wrinkle silk. He'd shrug it off after a few attempts before looking up at the people speaking to the bride and groom. His eyes focused on the girl who made the claims more than anyone else. "Kukuku. This is turning a bit more interesting than I expected."
Azrael watched the chaos ensue and did nothing. He sat in his chair looking towards his king who seemed most unsettled. Azrael never saw Eli unsettled. It was... educational. He wished the Moss had come to the wedding but knew it was unlikely given the man's tendency to remain in his monastery until times of crisis. It seemed that tensions had run high as both Usken and Noskium officials seemed to be at each other's throats. It was still Eli who held Azrael's very diluted focus. The man was angry and he seemed to have noticed Azrael looking at him, or perhaps he had been dissuaded by the rest of the commotion but there was a brief moment, when Xenon had departed and left only Eli and Lafolia standing aside one another, that Eli seemed to for a moment calm down. More than a moment though because he now seemed to be actively suppressing his feelings. His aura had subsided and while the anger was still there it was well hidden. Not hidden enough from everyone who already knew but certainly hidden. There were other monoliths to high emotion in the room and Eli seemed to have realized that.

XXXIt was the time she had been waiting for, the destined event that had been in the works for many months now; on the cusp of being completed. "I dont beleive these two should be wed." was the only words that could have shattered this dream that Lafolia had nearly obtained, and shattered for a brief moment they were. Most of the words were lost to Lafolia in her momentary weakness of disbelief and confusion before snapping back to reality to listen to what the man had to say. With full intention of replying immediately, Lafolia went to speak but was interrupted by more onlookers of the event. Fists clenched and face stern, Lafolia calmed herself from the anger that was welling up within her; quickly quelling it to nothing more than a simple "annoyance". Quietly thankful for those who spoke up for her, at least more thankful than Xenon seemed to be. A gentle smile would simply rest upon Lafolia's face as she turned to face the awestruck and confused attendees of her wedding; a face that no one have expected for her to have. Anger, malice, annoyance, or even hate would be plenty of the facial expressions one would have expected; yet none of these existed. The only emotion that was detectable from Lafolia was kindness, pure and innocent kindness that seemed to carry much more weight than any anger she could muster.
"You're comments and concerns are appreciated Abyron, but they are not needed nor wanted." she spoke out clear, her voice echoing throughout the hall; the kindness in her words easily coherent. "But you will do well to remember not to insult my future daughter or family as a whole." she finished, keeping her smile and tone from before. Turning back towards Xenon as he made his way towards the stage, she couldn't help but notice Sir Eli annoyed and angry; chalking it up to him being furious at Abryon's words, she thought little of it. "Heck of a wedding huh?" her carefree and neutral personality shining through as she spoke to Xenon. Gently taking up his hand she would lean forward and kiss his cheek lightly before whispering something into his ear. "Lion's don't concern themselves with the opinion of sheep.". Pulling back she would smile widely towards him and glance back towards the wedding official; whom was clearly awestruck by the events going on. "You may continue.", smiling towards the official like nothing happened.
۩۞۩ Name: Zasalamir Fellasan ۩۞۩ Sexuality: Pansexual ۩۞۩ Mood: Nervous ۩۞۩ Current Thought: This wasnt what i expected ۩۞۩ Current Theme: Zasalamir's Theme
۩۞۩ . . . "Im the Arcane Juggeraut, need I say more?" . . .۩۞۩
================ ۩۞۩ ==================
۩۞۩ Well this was just fascinating. Zasalamir was truly entertained by the machinations of mortals. They truly knew how to take good things and make them disasters. It amused the Lehvaine to a great extent causing him to laugh a little louder than he should have. Catching himself he moved aimlessly through the crowd of guess, catching whispers of their thoughts, chuckling at their dismay, yes humans where indeed interesting beings. He commended the brides kindness as she affirmed herself before the "villainous" Noskium King, a man Zasalamir had yet to encounter, but knew enough about to know he was to be watched. His golden & emerald armor shimmered as he moved to where Eli was stationed and out of view of the normal guests, looking rather concerned. Placing a reassuring hand on his king's shoulder he spoke. ۩۞۩
۩۞۩ Should we prepare our departure M'lord? I'd hate for your fluctuating emotions to make you do something you regretted. ۩۞۩
۩۞۩ It was the first time Zasalamir was actually concerned for Eli, never seeing this side of him. The uneasy feeling his King was giving off, the aura of anger and rage made Zasalamir nervous. It was something he had not foreseen and didnt know what would happen, this was not going as planned and if Zasalamir hated one thing, it was when his well laid plans run into unseen variables. ۩۞۩
By the time Lafolia spoke Eli couldn't be surprised by her. He had gained control of his emotions to the extent that they were no longer plainly clear. It was to be certain that a degree of anger guided his action now and that everything he did would be in service of uncovering the truth. He watched as the chaos simmered and looked to his generals. Zasalamir seemed to have taken note and come to him. The general proposed an exit and Eli shook his head. He knew now what he needed to do before making declarations that carried the notion of war. "Take Azrael and any other Valarian citizens with you. Return to our land and await word from me. I fear I have discovered something most foul but I need to investigate." With his orders discretely given, Eli stepped back to his place beside Xenon and his bride. He gave the two of them a nod and then a similar nod to the officiant. He had been alive for long enough to know how to expertly conceal emotions and fortunately within hours people would believe that his rage came after Abryon's outburst. Nobody would keep the chain of events straight except for possibly Abyron who noted Eli's anger in his words. If Eli did nothing more he would preserve his friendship and the peace between Valaria and the Zaibatsu. It is truly a shame that Eli was going to do something more.
