Realising that, it seemed easy to get to where he needed to be.
Rodney found a room that otherwise seemed empty, except for a circle of objects humming with power.
Rodney wasn't sure if he wanted power.

Rodney looked at a small piece of metal shaped like a rabbit, and decided in his heart of hearts that he wanted to try being less like a rabbit, not more like a rabbit, and whatever this was wasn't going to help.

There was also a pin, but it seemed a bit similar to his scarf.

Rodney looked again.
There was a ring with sharp teeth, and although he was not normally a fan of teeth, it was what he needed.
It was part of a fallen world. Had there been teeth and claws in the garden?
Had they been for something else? Jesus hadn't condemned the soldier, only saying that those who lived by the sword, died by the sword.
And he was living in a time of swords.
He just...wasn't a very swords man.
But he was trying to be brave. His fingers flitted to his scarf. That item, too, had called him, and it had proved itself of infinite value since. He could hear the whisper from the cat, and feel Lawrence's warm hand in his. He needed to be stronger. He needed to deal with his fears. And maybe...it wouldn't end up being swords that he used to deal with them.
But he'd have to figure out how he was best suited to help.
