Cheshire Kattz Emalthya Marc Gosgosh Emalthya Cheshire Kattz Emalthya How is every trapped person today? Trapped??? Is everyone not trapped in the underworld for this event? Yea, every staff member of the NSTG is trapped in an underworld. Not necessarily the same underworld. Gotta say, I always loved the feeling of Underland. Great item series, I tried to collect a variety of those items, most namely the plane/jet ones. And to answer the first question... lol Well I wish I was in Underland. There might be a war going on and snow everywhere but it beats the 6th Circle of Hell any day. twisted I'm not really aware of the underland series of items. I suppose I would rather be in the 6th circle of hell than have no choice in what I can believe. Tbh i dont believe in hell anyways. Underworld isn't in the bible it came from traditional pagan beliefs adopted into christianity. Also, the pagan version is more just where souls go, but christianity seems to use it as a scare tactic on people. Thats my two cents on it anyways. smile I never said I did, I had to look up Dante's Inferno to see which circle the 6th was, it's for heretics, but one person's heretic is another person's true believer. Even without belief in the writing of one man, I can honestly say I would rather be in the 6th circle than not have a choice in what I believed in. You're also making 'christianity' and 'bible' the same thing. Apparently the Bible has no direct reference to Hell and it was used as a term by Jesus in parable, using a burning waste pit as an example. That's not to say that people who read the Bible and then teach it to others would not put their own spin on it, that's how Mary Magdalene because a prostitute and how FGM became a normal and expected part of Islam in some countries when it's not mentioned in the Quran. (I am not religious, I just like learning) But the reference was to Dante's Inferno, which was written according to an Italian man who hated bankers and that is why they are so severely punished in the book- surely bankers there days don't have to write their signature on their employment contract with a pen filled with brimstone and lava and hand it to the devil himself? rofl

Im not sure how i came across that way but still.... I agree with you. And the gehenna jesus referred to was an illustration. Not every interpreter takes it so literally. Whearas others do. That's cool you are educated in what you know. Learning is very good. I think it's much better than not learning. Ignorance can cause a lot of problems. Not to say i don't have my moments, we probably all are in some ways. Ignorant that is. Ahh i havent slept much in days so I'm not going to sound very intelligent right now and i apologize for that.

Emalthya But the reference was to Dante's Inferno, which was written according to an Italian man who hated bankers and that is why they are so severely punished in the book- surely bankers there days don't have to write their signature on their employment contract with a pen filled with brimstone and lava and hand it to the devil himself? rofl Yea, Alighieri vent off some steam there. Given his circumstances I can totally understand that. OTOH, wishing one's enemies to boil in the fires of hell is a bit childish. You are right, the bankers that day did not have such an equipment, BUT: bankers and moneylenders were not held in high esteem back in that days. I did not help that not few were jews (because in some places laws forbid them to work on the fields or in a craftsman guild so they had to be lenders and bankers). IMO a very sad part of European history. I still haven't read the whole original work but I think compared with Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carrol, Alighieri had a more general approach to the topic. Yes, "Wonderland" can be hell, too, but much more a personal one in that as it represents Alice's psyche. It all depends of your personal state whether Wonderland can be fun or not. (I mean, the "Pool of Tears" was surely not fun for Alice) Then again in a movie adaptation of Dante's Inferno you have Dante's father who quite enjoys his time in hell's fourth circle, Greed, as he is surrounded by gold. He even takes Lucifer's offer to go without punishment for 1000 years and as much gold as he wants (hint: he wants ALL gold on the whole world) if he slays his own son. TL;DR Alice in Wonderland and Dante's Inferno are both batsh!t crazy and highly enjoyable. Wonderland can sometimes become hell and Hell can sometimes be one's Wonderland lol

Wonderland can sometimes become hell and Hell can sometimes be one's Wonderland lol Yeah bankers have been worse than they are but they're not great now, it's important to take things in context. If we didn't appreciate great literature within its own context, then Sherlock Holmes becomes a massive racist pig, and Elizabeth Bennet becomes a straight-up gol'-diggin' ho. I haven't read the Inferno, but I have read about it XD Sadly, yes, I will admit a lot of my knowledge comes from Dan Brown- which I then looked up lol because pinch of salt. Wonderland is trippy as hell. Perception is a wonderful, insane, beautiful, and cruel thing.

I hope you do sleep better, I had trouble last night- so much lightning and so close it lit my bedroom up several times a minute for hours and hours and barely a drop of rain. Ignorance can cause so many problems *sad* especially with religions. If people read the books they claim support their hatred, they would find Jesus saying chill out, dudes, just be awesome to each other, or they would find that in the Quran it says that Jews and Christians ought to be given respect due to also being people of the holy book. That's not to say ignorance can't be causing problems elsewhere- look at people taking antibiotics for colds and flu and making the superbugs worse despite healthcare professions saying 'Y'ALL, STAHP'. I guess if we all were responsible for critical thinking we'd be better, safer. Oh well- tomorrow is Halloween and I am going to watch Hocus Pocus, Nightmare Before Christmas, Sweeny Todd, Corpse Bride, Rocky Horror- I am going to have a great time XD
