She looked even more embarrassed when it clearly made him uncomfortable, not wanting to make this more awkward for him. But he didn't get mad, at least, and he didn't seem to need to refuse to tell her, which at least made her feel somewhat better.
"Oh man. Doesn't sound like you had a good time at all, then, Rhys." She frowned, saw him scratching at himself. She didn't know what was up with it, but it seemed weird. She reached over, and almost absently, grabbed his hand to stop him from scratching at it, as she stared at it. "That's just gonna make it worse, if you break the skin, Rhys." She paused, then frowned, and lowered her head to look a little closer. "The ********...? Did it... move...?"

"It wasn't."
He left it there and closed his eyes, only opening them again when he felt her hand on him for some reason. He sort of flinched--it was sudden and he hadn't been expecting it--and his eyes shot open, but the rest of him moved slowly. Mainly his gaze from her face to her hand, and then the bruise on his arm that she mentioned. He scowled at it and tucked the arm beneath his blanket. "Maybe, I dunno. I've been asking them to call someone to come look at the ********' thing but they said they could do that after I don't have a hole in my arm.

She flushed, really red, as she had clearly bothered him with that one. "Sorry, sorry! Didn't mean to bother you." Her hand pulled back like she had been burned, and looked awkward. "Just... didn't want you getting more cut up, if you kept scratching. You don't need more s**t, even if it's small, right now." She managed to control the urge to stare at her feet, remembering that it had bothered him last time.
"And ugh. That sucks. They shouldn't make you wait that goddamn long, you need that dealt with. Especially if it's moving." She shook her head at what seemed to her to be lackadaisical care, and sighed softly. "They'd better deal with it." She sounded a little fierce at that, as if she'd somehow force them to do so if they didn't get around to it soon enough for her tastes.

Rhys squinted at the sudden shade of red that she turned, unsure what to make of it but ultimately leaving it be. At most it was probably just her being irritated about the whole situation for him. Nice of her, but using his other hand he very slowly waved as if telling her to just let it pass. "Might be better if I leave it for now. How knows what they'd have to do to just get a look at whatever it is, so." He did his best to shrug again.
"Maybe just a bandage to cover it up for now."

She smiled a little, and nodded quietly in response to his words. "Well I'm sure they'll do somethin'. They can't let it stay forever." She shrugged as well, then sighed when her phone beeped a quiet alarm. "Ugh, I gotta go. I got sentry duty. If I'm not alone, I bet it'll be some idiot up there with me."
She stood, and looked down at him, an odd feeling for her since it was usually the other way. "Rest well. I'll come back with something when I can. If you get out before I get by, toss me a text, so I don't look like an idiot coming hunting for you." She patted his shoulder, quietly, and headed for the door. "Later, Rhys!"
