If he'd been bothered about Finn's tendency towards sharp sarcasm, bitterness, arrogance, and snide remarks, Chance would have left a long time ago. Fortunately for the both of them, he was hardly fazed at all by the laundry list of things that might have rankled anyone else, and maybe that was why they were such good friends in spite of Finn's consistent denials.
Chance grinned over at him.
"Been there, done that," he said airily but reached over and plucked the bottle up, leaning to top off the booze in Finn's glass. He added a bit to his own, then set the bottle down again, feet propped up comfortably on the table between them.
It was relaxing and reassuring that Finn hadn't changed. Chance took a swig of his drink and said, "So. I know you said you're happy, and that's great. Who proposed? You or him?"

It wasn't like Finn had tried to find and make friends. For some reason, the really special ones, all seemed to find him on their own. The moon hunter continued to level a flat gaze on his companion, but smoothly snatched up the drink as soon as it was poured. A couple more of these, and Finn might even crack a smile. "Oh yes, let's change the subject back to me. Please." He rolled his eye, and took a sip out of his newly topped up glass. "I did, after he told me to." He replied, followed by him setting his drink down so that he could fish out another cigarette. "And then we went to Vegas, eloped, and had a lot of sex. I think that about covers it." A pause. " Why Otto?"

"I like hearing about you," said Chance, in an amused tone of voice, and this was perfectly true, even if Finn was being sarcastic about it. He liked hearing about Finn, and about Ripley, and about their happiness, because they were, after all, two of his favorite people and closest friends.
Even if Finn was eternally in denial.
Ripley too, for that matter. What was with him and his friends?
"Ever the romantic," said Chance dryly. He dangled his glass from the tips of his fingers, letting it swing absently back and forth, amber liquid moving gently against the sides. "I still can't believe you didn't tell me, but I suppose you were more concerned about the whole marriage bit first."
He lifted his glass, took a sip, and almost snorted with laughter into it.
"We've been together for over two years now. I love the brat, what can I say?"

" Gay." He said, with a smirk, though the between the booze and the cigarettes it appeared like his icy exterior was beginning to soften, though in very small increments. "Oh, you should talk. Two years? Where the ******** was I, living under a rock?" Actually, that made Finn wonder how out of touch he'd become, and whether or not Ripley had known about this. Probably. The man was incredibly observant.

Chance rolled his eyes. "You were off playing happy family with Ripley, I'm assuming," he said dryly, though it was also said with some affection as he swirled around the remains of his drink in his hand. "I mean, now that you're all married and everything, I'm sure you'll be just dandy."
He gave Finn an entirely innocent look; which was to say it wasn't actually innocent at all.
"So what next? Kids? Honeymoon? Little house on the prairie?"

"a**." He commented, before taking another sip of his drink and letting out a sigh, the glass set down as he leaned back against the couch to stare up at the ceiling, cigarette smoke swirling up above. "I don't know." He answered, honestly. "Hard to imagine much of a future, living here."

The scent of cigarettes was filling the air; a familiar thing, in spite of Chance's aversion to it. He was silent for a moment, just swirling his drink, lips pressed together as he considered.
"Perhaps not," he allowed, because he never lied, and Finn knew it. "But you can take what you have and make the most of it."
