As she held the rusted chains for support while she slouched, her bottom seated comfortable on the rubber seat, she found her gaze drifting to her feet. She wore a solemn look on her face, but the thoughts that plagued her...was how boring this was. Why did she have to condemn herself to some broken down, crappy playground while the Hollow tore the city apart? The more she thought about it, the more it was beginning to piss her off. That man would pull her from her festering bad mood when he gestured to her. Ryuko only caught a fraction of what he was talking about, but did he really not know what Shinigami or Hollow were called? How lucky and almost unbelievable that he would escape all attention, especially with that meat cleaver for an arm. He could hide here to avoid the everyday person, yet his usual reiatsu would have to draw his enemies in at some point. The girl looked up to meet his gaze, wondering how long he'd been out here. Under that hood, it was hard to see; he might have had some scruff and his face looked a little stern. Ryuko felt it safe to say he was older than her at the very least. She was curious how he lived from day to day...

Surely a drawback from becoming a hermit was a lack of information. The guy was asking about the destruction, though the look in his eyes and body language told her it wasn't out of concern. It was almost like the destruction was exciting for him. If that was the case, why did he seem to avoid it? What a strange man... He and the blindfolded woman were perfect for each other. Speaking of, Kuro would chime in- telling them about the pain and suffering around them and the fleeting life of the masses. Of course she could feel the powerful spirit energy, but she wanted nothing to do with it. That was to say, it wasn't her responsibility to do something about it. And it would not take the mysterious lady long to come to the same conclusion. Ryuko sighed, shaking her head at the older man. "It's like she said. The Hollow, those monsters that try to eat you, are attacking the town. It's causing mass panic for the people and whatnot, you know, since they can't even see them. And this all happened because of that big explosion earlier. Ever since then, there's been this...pressure. But anyway, that's what's been going on" she informed the both of them.

What came out of Kuro's mouth next was unexpected and caused her to sit up in awe. "HEROES?! Do you think I'd be here if I was some stupid hero? As if I would risk my neck to save those people. I hear my calling: it's telling me to sit my a** here and let nature run its course. Leave that crap for the Shinigami!" she huffed, suddenly getting worked up. From her point of view, people hated her for some reason so she hated them back. Saving others and putting herself in danger for their sake? Ryuko refused to entertain the idea; it was impossible for her. Though she wondered what Kuro meant that she was following them now. "...What? You think we're sticking together now? I don't see that happening- even if we have some 'similarities'. I don't even know this guy's name!" By that, she meant Musabori who she now took to pointing at. It seemed the white haired lady had lost herself, lacking her memories and what not. Ryuko didn't intend to stay with them, having gone solo this long and without trusting others. Although, if Kuro meant simply that she was going to stalk them from now on...well that was an entirely different problem.

"No, I am not a hero. If I was stronger, I would be there with the Hollows myself. But right now, at this point, I will stay here and wait until I get stronger. But one day, I will be the cause of the flames the 'heroes' run into. And then I will kill the fools." The sneer on the word heroes in the next to last sentence lets them know what he thinks of heroism. A look of amusement crosses his face at the thought of caring for the safety of others and putting yourself in danger for them.
"That is the first time someone has ever referred to me as interesting. Usually I get called a monster or monstrosity. One time a priest called me a demon."
He chuckles in memory of what the priest's blood looked like splattered across the walls. "And I don't care if you stick around, but like her I don't see us 'teaming up' or anything."

Kuro "Black Angel" Tenshi
--:: Blank ::--

User Image Kuro looked over the two as they seemed intent on expressing their evil minds. The memories she felt surging from them were interesting, but more in the line that they were filling a void of herself that was steering her down the path of evil they walked. She did not express that she was using them for this purpose. In time, they would likely see that she had formed a symbiotic relationship with the pair and that her existence was a benefit only in the regard that she needed their survival to continue to exist herself. Without more memories, the Black Angel, would be nothing but a body of scattered memories and remembrances of people and places that were never really hers to begin with. That would be potentially dangerous to the town of Karakura as it would be like a massive outbreak of Alzheimer's should Kuro be left to run rampant and act on her instinct as a Blank.

"I think...We will live better and longer if we remain as a unit. Your motives do not matter to me, only that I continue to live.", she explained, maybe hinting more at the aforementioned parasitic way she viewed the two. Even sharks needed remora to clean them and keep them healthy. It was likely these two hybrid agents of destruction would need something similar if they were to avoid being put down like wild animals. People did seem to burn bright in the light of their ambitions, but much like Icarus to the Sun; Wax wings melt and ultimately their demise is certain.

Kuro then looked off in the distance back to the flames and sighed softly. Memories of a village burning in early China swarmed her thoughts for the moment. Karakura burning felt like it was bringing back the days of the Warring Kingdoms; When monsters of war marched their armies across her homeland when she was just a girl, or was she? There was no guarantee these memories even belonged to the Blank as she tapped her lip at the recollection. She then dismissed them before her veiled gaze looked back to Musabori. "I like you two enough that I plan on sticking around, and if you see it my way, you will also see this as a beginning of something... well, it will be something, that much I know for sure right now.", Kuro said as her lips curved upward, only slightly.

It was with Musabori's response that Ryuko understood just what kind of person he was. There was pure malice in his voice; an overwhelming lust for bloodshed and destruction. He had his reasons for detesting heroes, though her ire was more for the ones they wished to protect. People didn't deserve to be saved, they were awful and cruel! They would sooner step over their fellow man if it meant inconveniencing their own lives. And it didn't even matter if they were family. In fact, it was family that could hurt you the worst… So as she listened to Musabori express his desire to join in the destruction, the dark skinned girl was not concerned for the people who would be injured in the carnage. No, she was concerned if he was any better than a Hollow. If he was waiting for the right opportunity to strike now…

Ryuko became a little more wary of the man, realizing she shouldn't lower her guard around him. Though she could help but scoff and roll her eyes at his remark of being called a monster. "Oh gee, I wonder why they would think that?" her sarcastic tone of voice implying it was a rhetorical question. His unusual growth aside, if you acted like a monster, you probably were one. Yeah, this was one guy she didn't want to hang around and have to constantly look over her back. She did that enough as it was keeping an eye out for Shinigami and Hollow.

And why was Kuro so insistent that they stick together? She did have a point: there was strength in numbers, even the Hollow did this. If they worked together, they could survive better than alone. On the other hand, Ryuko was already doing fine on her own. Still...she would be lying if she did not admit for her life to be better. In and out of hotels, robbing people for food and necessities, fighting and killing the Hollow and Shinigami that showed up. How long could she keep this up on her own? 'No, I don't need help surviving, I'm strong on my own...' she shook her head. This was more about Kuro's self preservation than anything. As cruel as it may be, the silver haired girl would have to figure it out on her own, just as she did.

Still, there was this odd feeling she got from her- something familiar. Not a feeling of trust, but some level of mutual respect. Odd, how this came to be given they just met, but some small part of Ryuko wanted to hear her out. "...Maybe. I don't know. I'll think about it for you, Kuro. I can't explain it, but you don't seem to be a threat to me..." Her crimson gaze would shift from the angel to a leer at the scruffy guy. "...But not this guy. This guy rubs me the wrong way… He'd probably stab us in the back if he felt like it..." As things stood, she would not agree to team up with Musabori.

Musabori laughs at Ryuko’s comment. “You get called a monster enough, you tend to think why not. If I am going to be called a monster because of my appearance, might as well act like one. Plus, people are naturally selfish and uncaring.”
He looks over at Kuro
“Sticking together could be fun. We would be stronger as a group than on our own, that is always true. Plus, with everyone’s reasons for sticking in out in the open, we would be able to trust each other to act on those interests.” He points over at Kuro with his left hand. “For her, our presence appears to be some kind of sustenance. From her comments and what she focuses on, I would say she feeds on memories, whether they are our own given what she said about her own kind trying to devour her, or from memories being made through interaction given how she has mentioned memories being made, and seems happy just sticking around us as long as we do stuff.”
“Me, I care about survival and destroying stuff. Life, buildings, structures, it doesn’t matter. I enjoy the fear it causes in others. I wouldn’t stab you in the back, as that would be boring. Plus, given your lack of complete fear upon seeing me, and having survived the attacks of the monsters yourself, you can likely handle yourself. So there would be no fun in it.”

He turns back to Ryuko.
“You would be part of a group for the increased protection it would provide. You came here to get away from the rampaging hollows, and you wouldn’t want to be around me because you don’t trust me to not try and kill you. Your biggest concern is your own survival.” He does not move much while talking, maintaining a relaxed posture.

Kuro "Black Angel" Tenshi
--:: Blank ::--

User Image Kuro tilted her head at the explanation that Musabori had provided the pair of them. He seemed pretty insightful, which was something that the Blank had not given him much credit for. Actually, it was quite the observational blunder of an assumption, but it only served to promote more learning and forge more things for her to remember and recollect later on. It was an unusual circumstance that had been thrust upon their makeshift entourage, but at least the male was beginning to see things as clearly as the blindfolded individual. "This is true. My growth and development is tied to the memories I make, just like any living being, but even more-so...because without memories, I am nothing and my power will be that of my baser kin.", the silver haired spirit explained as she gestured to the two before her. "Just like without memories you are but what you are, and yet at the same time a blank canvas... just like me.", she said informatively before shrugging gently.

Kuro was not really invested in the other two's survival, so much as she was her own growth. But as a Blank, the memories formed there were definitively shaping her ability to bond and make friends, forge alliances, and coexist. This was a rare opportunity that few of her fellow amnesiac-like kin were ever afforded. It was actually a shame that most Blanks never got to the stage of evolution that Kuro had and developed a personality with which to experience this moment. The opportunity to make friends and learn to love or care for others was an interesting memory, however hollow it was in the reality. It was a survival aspect and one that benefitted others than just herself. It wasn't the selfless friendship most would seek, but at the same time, as Musabori had deduced, it was a benign and harmless desire to stay with them and learn.

"As for fears of betrayal, I will not allow it. If one is to move against another of this unit, then I will draw my blade to stop it. If destruction of others is our goal, then let us not destroy those who belong to this unit.", Kuro explained as she kept referring to their group as a 'unit'. She did not know what to call it otherwise, as the only other memories she had were of a life in the Chinese military during the Warring Kingdoms era. The concept of friend groups or families was a foreign one to her yet. Still, she made no further move after that. She simply resigned to her passive stance of observing the two and what they would do in response to her own contribution to the formation of what was appearing to be the start of a bit of a faction.

While she was awfully adamant about not teaming up with Sir Blade Arm, Ryuko had to admit she was impressed with his skills of deduction. He came to such conclusions from all of what she said, which wasn’t much in her opinion. It was almost too good to be true, there was no way he was right about that much! Though, Kuro would chime in to confirm as much, earning a surprised look from the blonde. She was some sort of being that fed on memories? From the moment they met, the ghost was leeching off of her? Well...that was a little invasive, but it seemed harmless. Personally, Ryuko did not feel she had as many good memories as she did bad; but even so, she preferred to keep the bad ones. It was those painful ones that taught her wise lessons and gave her strength. Perhaps they were not worth being cherished; however, they were important all the same. If all Kuro asked for was memories, new or old, then that would be something tolerable. As for Musabori, as strange as it was, she could not help but believe him. He seemed- no, he was definitely crazy, yet there was sincerity in his sadistic claims.

She knew every word that passed his lips was truth...which definitely made him dangerous. And if that was true, Ryuko would much rather have this lunatic on her side than not. As if to reassure her, Kuro proclaimed she would prevent either of them from trying to kill the other. No, it was more like she vowed to protect her source of nourishment, which...was a pretty good deal in the long run. Seeing how the other two were on board, the only person to show resistance was...her. “...You’re right. I only care about my survival. I don’t care about destruction or trying to grow. But I am sick of living like this, constantly looking over my shoulder with nowhere to go…” she huffed, looking down at her shoes. The young woman fell silent for a moment, thinking to herself and then suddenly hopping up from the swing. Looking to each of them, a smirk crept onto her face with a chuckle following. This had to be the oddest group in the making and for the most selfish of reasons at that. A ghost with amnesia that fed on memories and a guy, much like herself, with a serious blood lust and penchant for chaos. Even so, this was kind of exciting! “So! If you two lighten the load, then I’ll return the favor. Just a fair warning though, I vow to stay alive no matter what. If you two can live with that then…” Holding up her right hand, she would create a small cut on her palm with her nail. As the blood began to drip, she would hold out her hand to the others and nod her head. By this gesture, she was expecting the others to do the same...that is, until she recalled Kuro was blindfolded. “... Let’s form this pact! We’ll join our hands and blood as a sign of trust.”

Seems like the holdout was in on the idea now. That was good. Make a group like this, recruit a few more, and there was potential to cause some serious destruction. The benefits of having others to help keep an eye out for danger was also promising. Plus the blindfolded woman had mentioned a land beyond the stars. Where there would be more to destroy. Yes, the group would help him reach his goals. He just had to help them with their goals. He could do that. Plus, everyone in the group knew where everyone else stood, which means they could trust each other. As much as people like them could trust, that is.
He clenches the warped fingers on his left hand to open a cut, and holds out his hand in return. “To our own survival, and to causing destruction in our wake.”

User ImageMy my my… Look at this lot.” A voice, high and clear, rang out across the playground, dancing playfully off of the rusty equipment that still stood here, long abandoned. These people were fascinating. There was something so familiar about the presence of hollows, or at least those tainted by the hollow spirit. Xzavior could almost smell the blackened raishi pouring off of them. It was like the old days… almost. Xzavior had longed for friends of a more nefarious nature for a long time. The company of blanks was often boring, at least the ones that largely populated Northweald.

Xzavior made himself clearly visable to all that were gathered here, bowing deeply.

”My name Is Xzavior Reginald Smith. At your service. I am in search of travelling companions who are looking to…” Xzavior looked up, his eyes flashing playfully. ”…Get into some trouble.”

Xzavior had been in northweald for too long. It had been too long since he had stretched his legs and engaged in some playful destruction. When Tra’al had been around, he had his friends had engaged in all sorts of nefarious business. Now that he was the only one of them left, he often found himself more bored than anything. He had gone a year as a travelling bard, but even that had proven itself boring after such a long time. The beast of Northweald, who had once destroyed a shinigami by creating a sun in his midst had spent many years with nothing to do. He hoped that these newcomers to the world of the spiritual would serve as a sort of Tra’al replacement. If not, he could always destroy them and move on.

Kuro "Black Angel" Tenshi
--:: Blank ::--

User Image Kuro almost tensed up at the exchange of blood, but it was an exchange she seemed to acquis to, as she too slid a hand along her sword and let her spiritual essence mix between the herself and Musabori. It seemed like an odd form of blood pact, but all the same it felt unifying. The other added aspect to this ritual was the taste of memories from the male. A murder of a holy man, and a life full of rejection were the flashes into Musa's past that she adopted into herself, likely unknown to him. Then the a new presence seemed to interrupt and interject itself into the scene. It was one that felt familiar and at the same time, caused the silver haired Blank to slide back into a defensive stance as she gripped the larger blade on her back and prepared to draw it.

Kuro almost growled as she looked at Xzavior and her spirit energy seemed to swell angrily. As any Blank on the precipice of evolution, it was a reaction that was easily expected, especially if the one who had lorded over her realm had known enough about the creatures that inhabited it. It was then with a passive offer extended that she seemed to calm and relax only slightly. She was not the face for the three of them and she would simply go where the others went at this point. "Seems another grew bored of the swarms... If more show up of our kind show up. I will kill them. These are my memories. Not theirs.", she stated as a matter of fact. It was clear she did not like the idea of sharing newly forged memories with her kin. That maybe Blanks at their core were almost like Hollow? Both were empty spirits seeking to be made whole one way or another, but in Kuro's case she was more benign than an active threat to anyone's existence.

As their hands met, the bond was officially forged. Now they were a team; partners that would be working together from here on out. For Ryuko, this was the first time she would be working with others. Ever since her mother was killed and then escaping her abusive father, she was always alone. It was easier to be alone than to take the risk of trusting someone who could stab you in the back. That was a lesson she learned the hard way… "Trust no one, take what you need and kill anyone who dares threaten your right to live" had become her life's mantra. This would be the first in a while she would give others a chance. Depending on how this went, she might discover there were some people deserving of trust...even people as weird as Musabori. This was far from what she expected to happen when she came to this park, but the day was not yet over. After they formed their pact, what would be their first activity? Ryuko wondered if they could find a place to call their own. It was something she struggled to accomplish on her own, but now they were three. Perhaps one of the abandoned buildings in the nearby neighborhood, though she preferred someplace more secluded.

There wasn't a chance to bring this up with the others, as Kuro quickly pulled away and put up her defenses. Ryuko was quick to do the same when she heard the voice, turning to face the source in her fighting stance. Her hands were half clenched and she stood in a wide stance low to the ground, prepared to fight this stranger. Who was he? How did he get so close while unnoticed? And why was he so good looking?! She waited for him to speak again before deciding whether or not he was a threat. But it seemed he was just another one like Musabori, looking for trouble. Loosening her guard somewhat, the blonde sighed and shook her head. Apparently this guy, Xzavior, was like Kuro- given how she both recognized and addressed him as such. "So another memory ghost? Sorry, I already agreed to feed this one and she doesn't seem to like sharing" Ryuko would gesture to her blind and territorial partner. "If our contract ever ends, maybe then you could tag along" she chuckled. Of course, she did so in jest, not all that comfortable yet having a crew as it was. "Hey, ojisan. What is it you want to do? Seeing how the Hollows already destroyed the city, there isn't much else for you to destroy, you know?" she pointed out to Musabori. "I say we find a place to crash- a place to call our own. Then maybe we can find some ways to get stronger. I know a couple places that might help you out, if you're not afraid to be around people, that is" the girl would tease. She would've asked Kuro, but figured the spirit would be fine as long as she was around them.

Musabori turns to the newcomer who had appeared out of thin air. From what Kuro had said, this is another of her kind. While he was sure that him and Ryuko could take on Kuro together if she turned on them, he wasn’t so sure if a second memory ghost, as Ryuko called it, joined as well. In addition, it seemed that neither of his new companions cared for this strange man. “Well, it appears neither of these two cares for you to join our group, so it looks like you are out of luck. Also, why have everyone of you I have met have either a pompous name or title? First Kuro the Black Angel, now Xzavior Reginald Smith. Is it a requirement for your kind or something?”
He turns to Ryuko, a thoughtful expression appearing on his face.
“I think getting stronger would be a great idea. I know of someone we can go to train where I don’t get many strange looks. And I am not afraid of people.” The last part is said with irritation, as well as confusion. Where did she get an idea like that? But he did like the idea of training. There were a few ideas he had thought of recently that he wanted to try out.
He then turns to the last member of their newly created group, directing a question her way.
“What about you? Do you mind large crowds of people Kuro? Or anything in particular you want to do?”

[Xzavior's annoyance did not show on his face. Instead he smiled his warmest smile, turning to the female blank, who seemed to be the one calling the shots, at least for now.

"I'm afraid you misunderstand my intentions. I could care less about collecting memories like the more base of our kind. I have been making memories of my own for years, memories most people would not believe. No, i am simply looking for entertainment. Life grows monotonous in the wastes of Northweald, as you likely know too well."

Xzavior smiled again, this one perhaps even warmer than the first. "You will find that I can be a very pleasant travelling companion."

Xzavior looked from person to person, sizing them up. They had already showed some hostility, though he woudln't describe their apparent intent as violent. He knew how to deal with violent intent. These people were likely suspicious of him, as they should be. Xzavior caught himself sizing them up, seeing how much trouble it would be to kill them all if he had to. He hoped it would not come to that, or maybe he hoped that it would. A slaughter would be entertaining as well, after all.

Kuro "Black Angel" Tenshi
--:: Blank ::--

User Image Kuro seemed to relax more as Xzavior spoke. His words, while on the surface, did not sound like all that much. To a Blank he just imparted a very important piece of information that might further her own growth. The idea that one could make their own memories and forge their own thoughts was interesting. Of course, the silver haired Blank had been doing this much since she had become self-aware and unique. She had just never realized that it was the process that had been occurring since Kuro had gained her individuality from the swarms. "There was no objection to you following. Not from me, but let us find something to do. I would hate for my new...friends, yes, this is what one calls people they care about. My new friends, I would hate for them to get too bored now.", she stated before casting her veiled gaze at Ryuko and then to Musabori, before turning her lips upward in a slight smile.

Still, Kuro waited to see if anyone else in the group took objection to Xzavior coming along for their plans to rule and destroy. To become monsters is what Musabori seemed to desire. Kuro was already a monster by definition, if only just a harmless thought thief who had been restraining impulse for the sake of attaining something greater.

Ryuko could not help but grin at the man's irritation in response to her teasing. She wondered what he had in mind for training or who this person was. Honestly, she didn't think he knew anybody else if he was supposed to be a recluse, or so she assumed since he lived out here by himself. While they discussed their plans, it seemed the Xzavior fellow continued to plead his case with Kuro. Their home, wherever that "land beyond the stars" was, seemed to be a pretty boring place. The guy was clearly desperate if he wanted to hang out with them, not that Ryuko was objecting. In the end, it seemed they came to some consensus- their own amnesiac not against him following them either. Though the dark skinned girl would stare at Kuro with wide eyes after what she said. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Friends?! Geez you move fast, don't cha?! It's not like that! It's like...uh..." It was more than likely Kuro didn't care about them in that way; she couldn't possibly, right? Really, it was no different than a farmer caring about their livestock...though that analogy didn't sit right with Ryuko. Still, to hear her use the word "friend" was just a little weird. "Oi, ojisan! You lead the way, I wanna get moving already!" the girl awkwardly tried to change the subject and location.
