Melvin AMAMelvin turned to loom at America. "I think its a bit sad you are this age and have forgotten so much and are now this person that visits Lawr and his family. I'm still disturbed you even went into the angel room because thats a sacred if not creepy place for childre and I feel it was a violation to just open the doors up like its an amusement park. After the hell he put you through your lack of memories wipes the slate clean to five him chances he doesnt deserve and puts you in a terrible situation to be hurt again. Your overconfidence is charming but the cockiness is overall annoying because you aren't old enough to let the seriousness of things sink in. You also had a better body before but I guess everyone who banged you now has to mark their calenders. I often wondered what Lawr saw in you to make him fixated and debated if you were just a really crazy wild lay. I'm glad you seem happier but it's ******** creepy seeing you as a teenager and I wonder if you'll be cut up into pieces one day." It was grim and he could feel the cold reality settle in him.

Lysander, of course, immediately did the very thing Roswell had advised him against, which was par for the course.
It was why they were here in the first place. Because Lysander absolutely refused to listen to the advice of someone he was paying to advise him.
"Fine, sir," he said, a little peevishly, the next question involving a somewhat ongoing personal argument that had also been challenged recently on Twitter (although Roswell was unaware of this). Ever since Roswell had let on at an Office Christmas Party after one too many drinks that he himself was not particular about the gender, Lysander had been completely awful about it, occasionally saying things like, Oh, what's it like, being a gay! and, This whole time I thought you were only a good dresser!
"Are you gay?"

Lysander also responded without too much hesitation to Clyde. "Familial love, my mother. Non family, probably Ginger." he shrugged, before looking a little perturbed but keeping on anyway, figuring that this was pretty straightforward.
However Roswell's question completely and utterly tripped him up, sexuality didn't matter to most people, most of those present wouldn't give a damn one way or the other how he felt, but he'd made a very strong and persistent point for a very long time of not being that way and certainly not giving Roswell any space to think him his equal. He immediately wanted to say No and felt for a moment that he would.
Instead it slipped out as "Yes." and he didn't even notice for a few long moments, until his brain notified the rest of him that something was quite wrong and that hadn't gone at all as intended.
"What the?" he said, going from looking smug to very cross in about five seconds flat.

[ Observing from the Sidelines ]Sherry seated herself next to Lucky. She didn't say anything at first, just sat there, her eyes on the ring that the others were passing around. In her hands she held a flask, and after taking a small sip she offered it to Lucky. There was a faint blue light coming from inside. It was clearly a runic object. She leaned over to whisper, "Shh. It's a secret but I'll share with you. Since you're being nice and sharing with them."

So he sat down, wished there were marshmallows, and then flipped over to lie on his back. He thought, and thought, and thought. And then he thought some more. A question appeared! "Oi, America. Do you regret being a kid again?"

But then she found herself going on, "But I don't regret being alive, even if that means the other me is gone. Like I kinda killed my mom being born and I guess I killed the adult me too? By being here? But I think if they'd really wanted to be alive, they woulda tried harder and managed it. I'm here and a kid, but I'm gonna do a lot better than them. So people better start marking those calendars, 'cause I'm not going anywhere." Definitely more than she intended to say, so first, what a cool ring! And second, she was gonna have to own what she'd said and not take any of it back or soften it up later. Crossing her arms, America took on a bit of a defiant look.

[ Ask America ]Well that explained a few things. He had thought he knew someone who looked a lot like America... but older. He didn't really know her though. She must be from the time, that yeah. He was glad he didn't stay young. "America, I didn't know your older self too well, so with me at least you don't have to worry about any previous relations getting in the way, if you ever need someone to just be who you are now around. Also I do want to know the official date is when you figure out when that is. Before that anything more than dinner is off limits." whatever she was comfortable with. Officially she was older but... you know, Clyde had a feeling that there would several hunters who might leave him on this island forever, doomed to a life without coffee. Or worst.

The ring was slid onto Peyton's finger with a justified sense of trepidation. Thus far there had been a lot of confessions, a lot of dirty laundry aired, and there was no way of knowing what would be asked, and what would come out because of it.
Still, everyone else was taking the risk, and there was something about doing so as well that, to her at least, bred a sense of comradery .
Besides, she'd asked some questions, it was only fair she give people a chance to ask her things back in return.
