Years before Dysia made a career as a demolitions terrorist, and blackmailed a fortune 500 company into providing her with the starter funds to build her first company, she'd honed her solo career, guerilla warfare, urban door to door tactics; desert combat, and the countless snipers, IEDs, and mortar impacts typical of her childhood. She didn't like to think her parents were raising her to be a super soldier - she had loftier goals than the paltry reality of someone on a hair trigger nervous wreck waiting to kill something because she had funny feelings, but in some ways, the effect was the same.

As Kazuma's tail distorted gravity, it created a transition in the sound of air passing through the portal. Her combat senses kicked in and she immediately turned to glance at what he was doing - other that being launched back through a portal. She saw him charging up quickly, raising his right fist and then she knew exactly what to do.

She reached back through the pancake diameter portal so quickly it seemed like a stage magician's trick, a sleight of hand, prestidigitation, and drew the black blade, raising it defensively, quick to close the portal before the beam could interfere with the storage case back home.

As the beam blasted toward her, she thrust forward the black blade - itself an absence of reality in the silhouette of a sword - which hungrily devoured Kazuma's blast before it could even warm one pebble in the soil. The sword itself briefly became visible, the energy it was absorbing from the initial impact being sheered off and converted into electrostatic and then gravitic then gluonic reinforcement, glowing like embers for a fraction of the big bang before those radiant photons too were consumed, leaving it dull, black, and cold. For the thin moments of this transitory consumption, it made a shrill ungodly awful scream, like what one might expect were an elder god devoured by an astronomical anomaly beyond their mystical prowess... And then it was again a hole in reality, a black silhouette, waiting, hungry...

She thought about recording this particular blast capability, but considered it beneath her interest.

"Is that all you have? Certainly, there's got to be more. Come on crab boy. Show me what you've got!" Her delicate lips drew into a mocking sneer, but she didn't tell him she had decided to record and exploit every single technique he manifested for the remainder of the fight. She estimated his demonstrated abilities could sell for billions of universal credits on the open Market. That was almost enough to pay for the cargo repair fees for her flag ship. Then she realized his abilities could be marketed to androids, and sold in bundles to Matryoshka brain security systems for trillions, even quadrillions of credits. Her eyes became gleaming credit signs, the sound of cash registers playing on loop in her mind's eye. Then she could swap out the heat sinks for the Altair's dimensional implosion engines. Oh the possibilities. Sweet, sweet possibilities.

She turned her attention back to the fight, salivating greedily over what powers he would show off next.

Cosmic rays and golden star-dust collected a-round and issued forth from Kazuma's right glove. Going in-to free-fall, Kazuma reached terminal velocity, landing on his feet a few meters away from Dysia. Kazuma's body-suit absorbed the impact, and his gravitational propulsion unit helped stop him from driving him-self deep in-to the earth. Opening his gigantic right glove, Kazuma ran to-ward Dysia. He attempted to palm her head like a basket-ball, cover and grab her face, then pick her up and slam her, with-out crushing her skull.

Dysia would be so happy if Kazuma made physical contact. That would make it easier for setting up her next attack. While her brand new Effect Reversal dampening field was still active, she waited to see if his giant claw would wrap over her skull, hoping he would for if he did if it did, she, already poised to impale him, would sweep her black blade downward. She waited, As soon as Kazuma's claw tensed to prepare to lift her off the ground, she would bolt the blade blade through his blind spot, distracted as he was, right through his carapace armor, through his skin, between his collar bone and shoulder blade, and directly through his heart. The motion would be so swift it would be like a flicker, like a light switch, but she would not cease at his heart, instead, she would press downward still, attempting to pass through his spinal cord, knowing the strange blade blade provided no resistance, no friction whatsoever, devouring the matter and energy it fell in contact with. And with a sudden jerking twist, she would attempt to violently remove the blade, while cleaning Kazuma like a butcher, separating his shoulder, shoulder blade, clawed arm, and left lung in one go. If successful, It would be like a perverse scene from Troy.

Luckily for Kazuma, he had temporarily assimilated the spirit of the deceased Michael Noire in-to his Alter, storing it in a capsule-like rod on his shoulder brace. The spirit did not only enhance Kazuma's physical statistics, but had the added bonus of transferring Michael Noire's knowledge and last memories to Dysia through physical contact with her head, forcing Dysia to experience the final seconds of the life of the victim Kazuma had murdered or harmed in the form of a brief but abrupt death premonition. The after-math of such an event could lead to Dysia having a mental break-down be-fore she could begin to harm, or attempt to murder, Kazuma. Mean-while, while Dysia was preparing to dice up Kazuma some-thing good, Kazuma attempted to inhibit her from doing so by giving her the death premonition the moment she went for him. Kazuma's shoulder brace was capable of blocking Dysia's initial strike, but, and once again, if Kazuma's attempted interrupt proved unsuccessful, he could be in some serious trouble.

Jennifer watched Kazuma's shoulder brace get in the way of her blade, and then attempted to use the infinitely sharp armor-piercing barrier-defeating weapon that gods called Emissary to slice it cleanly in half on the way to his other lung... Eventually, in consideration, she would have to tear his mangled lungs out and form wings. It was a sign of respect. Then she would place his corpse chunks in the furnace of the Altair. The interdimensional combustion engines continuously created and imploded entire dimensions - like pocket universes for power. She wasn't sure how long Kazuma would last, but estimated it was some ratio to his connection to the alter dimension. If he were the living embodiment, he might last more than 1 full earth second. Else... well, she would watch from a temporally distorted field and count down the nanoseconds, just in case she missed it.

Kazuma's right arm got sliced clean off, and Dysia used her black blade to cut through Kazuma's heart and both lungs, as well his spinal cord. Instantly paralyzed from the waist down, Kazuma fell back-ward, grunting and wheezing as blood continued to flow from his arteries to his bisected heart and lungs, filling them up with fluid. He went in-to shock, and then cardiac arrest. Still kicking, Kazuma used his accelerated healing capability to begin to stop the internal bleeding and mend his wounded body parts. The missing piece of his right arm degenerated; his right arm regenerated it-self. White spikes jutted out of the refused spinal column visible on his back, as well from his right arm, shoulder, clavicle and shoulder blades. He picked him-self up off the ground, shooting Dysia quite the glare using his orange eyes. The healing process took a full phase. Using his Body Alteration skill, Kazuma turned his regenerated right arm in-to a bone spike, which he drove in-to the earth. The spike hit rock be-low the surface of the terra, shattering in-to grow-able bone spines which ejected out of the soil, pointing straight at Dysia. Kazuma's left prehensile tail squirmed out of his flesh, becoming as long as his right tail.

The empress could easily perceive the distortion in the earth as the spikes raced through the ground, and she considered her options. The first was atomizing the area turning the soil into glass. The second was running current through the spikes and back to Kazuma. The third was dropping her plasma blade into the soil and liquefying the ground.

She went with option four. She stood her ground, fixating her position relative to the field, anticipating no threat originating from the ground spikes, and instead, converted her travel through time in units per second into meter units, moving at a right angle across the fourth dimension, appearing behind him moments later, swinging diagonally at his right shoulder plate, attempting to cleave through his shoulder, downward toward his kidney, lower spine, and stomach. If she was successful, she wasn't certain what the blade would do to his intestines. They might freeze and dissolve. Most of the time the consistency transitioned to something like glowing petroleum jelly. Then again, there was no certainly he wouldn't try to move out of the way before the horrible blade made his long day even worse.

Sensing the displacement tremors of Dysia's movement through the space-time continuum, Kazuma merely bowed his head, waiting for her to make her move. As Dysia attempted to use her dark-blade against his right shoulder, slicing down-ward in an attempt to eviscerate him, Kazuma sprang in-to action, used his right prehensile tail to try and catch Dysia by the hand tight enough to stop her from getting to his carapace and the squishy body and gooey innards within. Kazuma's left tail took action as well, stretching to-ward Dysia's left hand in an attempt to capture it and break her metacarpals. Using his ability to fly with Cougar's speed, Kazuma pushed off the ground, attempting to try and back-flip over Dysia and land be-hind her. "Shell Bullet of Pride!" Kazuma shouted, propelling him-self at Dysia's back, using his right fist in an attempt to punch her in the lower spine.

Finally, Kazuma had provided the opportunity she needed. She would have to add that to her Annotations on Sun Tzu. As Kazuma attempt to wrap his prehensile tail-like appendage around her hand, she in turn attempted to lock it in place with her other hand, then concentrated the local graviton field directly on her center, giving her axis an inertia well beyond a thousand times her original cyberbody weight. As she leaned back, she began spinning, attempting to hold on to Kazuma like an olympic hammer throw, and rotate his entire body like a centrifuge. She applied a polymorphism to his own gravitational manipulation, converting its entirety, which hithertofore would have enabled him to control his movement through space, into a compressed umbilical cord attaching his center of gravity along the line of his tail, reinforcing the tail so that it would not snap, but at the same time, the transformation of the field he had emanated now made it worthless for controlled flight. Her rotations accelerating to thousands of RPM, the G Forces on Kazuma's internal organs rising quickly into the hundreds of G's and climbing. If she was successful in her attempt, regardless of the durability of the Carapace, his internal cells would be subjected to ever increasing centripetal forces eventually approximating an event horizon, which would start to cause his internal memories and cells to sheer along the temporal zones, as part of his neurons firing would be firing backwards in time, while others just centimeters closer to the center would be firing forward in time. It was not unlike the principle of hydrostatic shock where lungs and muscles slice apart as sound waves caused by supersonic bullet impacts caused the two density tissues to oscillate out of sync, causing them to shred... only this was a sheer in spacetime.
Her lab technicians, who had cracked the theory of everything would have been both horrified and proud at the perverse but effective use of their research. To avoid the veritigo, her cyberoptics filtered out the rotating background using augmented reality to first convert the background scenery to black, then superimposed a stationary field scene, resembling something from a Bambi movie. The AI even added a stringed instrument orchestra and the chirping of birds to complete the effect, where, from her perspective, it merely looked as if she was holding on to Kazuma, leaning back like a lazy fisher, waiting for him to pop.

Kazuma experienced damage to his internal organs and muscles. Deep gashes formed a-long his arms as Dysia spun him round and round. Neurons misfired in his brain. It was his accelerated healing factor which kept him alive: he could heal in minutes from damage that would other-wise take weeks or months to recover from. Each time a new gash formed on his body, a new white spike popped up, but his space-flight-capable body-suit protected both his skin and internal organs for the most part. Hoping Dysia would let him go soon, Kazuma tried to fly away using Cougar's speed; he no longer required the use of his anti-gravitational propulsion-unit for that ability.

While Dysia leaned back Kazuma began twitching like a buffeted sail in a hurricane, presumably from the neural damage coupled with his attempts to self stabilize using Kazuma's brother's techniques. Her scans indicated the kinetic impact of Cougar speed approximated a heavy mortar, capable of creating craters from a kick so fast it surpassed the sound barrier... a whopping 350-700 meters per second, which was approximately 1 million times slower than his current 300,000,000-600,000,000 meters per second as his orbit crossed the luminal threshold creating a cosmic ring. But Kazuma's brother, Straight could throw objects at a whopping 300,000,000 meters per second, and if Kazuma had mastered his brother's techniques, he could easily reduce the damage he was suffering by half, possibly even retaining some measure of bodily integrity. She didn't have any faith whatsoever in his regenerative abilities however. Having observed his cells reform several times over, she was scientifically confident if Kazuma's capillary network were destroyed in under 60 seconds, it could no longer transmit the vital cells and lifeforce needed to reanimate his corpse. Further, she was strongly confident in her hypothesis that if his whole body were subjected to a spontaneous destructive force that completely destroyed his circulatory system in under one second, he was dead meat. That gave her an idea about a study of carbon nanotubes killing cells, and about cryogenics causing moisture crystals to 'freezer burn' cells by puncturing their cell walls causing the cytoplasm to bleed out, killing them.

Dysia Tech had a highly advanced monocrystal weapons division. She accessed the molecular files and created a microcellular spike path, then sent a swarm of nanobuilders to construct the ring barrier around her and kazuma, 5 meters high, in a 10 meter radius. The wall of the barrier was like a spiked surface, but the spikes were all monoblade carbon crystals with tiny blades on tiny blades, almost like a fractal, the thickness of the blades ranged from 12 centimeters to 12 angstroms, insidiously intended to eviscerate cells.

And then she let go... attempting to hammer throw Kazuma into what, at his velocity, would be like a plasma cloud with the consistency of broken glass or lunar regolith, but with his Cougar speed, from his perspective, she presumed, Kazuma wouldn't perceive the wall as a thermal plasma or radiation. No. With the hypervelocity of his sibling, Kazuma would face the wall like any other spiked wall made of monoblades... and that, in some ways, would be worse.
