֍ Niamh blanched slightly as he considered his words, true as they were, maybe too honest; too forward? too.... He poured off a glass for himself only to pass the bottle back to Leu to refill the contents of his own, "A toast?" He murmured while looking at the rosy fluid swirling in his pristine crystal. 'A toast to the beautifully natural disaster this improved date was turning out to be. To how every time I try to express my feelings, I do something to cause that frantically adorable reaction of yours... A toast to how we have only spent roughly a day and a half in the presence of one another but I feel like we could spend all eternity playing out these silly scenarios and I would regret nothing.'
All these were good things to toast to- fantastically beautiful things to toast to... if you were toasting to a wedding party. Biting his lower lip, Niamh's brow furrowed as he sought the proper words to soothe the flurry of emotion he elicited in his guest. Raising his glass timidly he swallowed hard, "Let's toast... to another day, another time, in the future, together." It was simple, safe, had few implications but left enough room for Leukos to make whatever he wanted with it. Best of all, it was what he wanted- another date, another moment in the presence of someone he was falling for so deeply so quickly.
Draining the glass he winced a bit at the interesting flavors swirling around his pallet, but swallowed nonetheless and refilled his glass, "Well, Now that we're caugh-woah..." he blinked a moment to right the room from shifting slightly; he knew he was a light weight but this was... a bit much, "I was going to say now that we're caught up, but honestly I think I'm a little further down the path than you~" he giggled as a soft blush came to his cheeks, but was it his toast or the alcohol? "Let's start this tour, eh?"
Using the counter for support he walked to the edge of the kitchen and stopped in the hall just before the deck door, "There is a full bathroom down the hall to the right here, and to the left you have the walkway to the study, and then the gazebo that leads to my room out that door there... But if we go down the hall to the left here..." his finger traced a wavy pattern on the soft cream wall "Here! Is the entry way to the home!" they stood in an open room with a few padded chairs and a loveseat with a table in between, a closet just to the left of the door - right if you were walking in it. and stairs leading up to the second floor. "Not too interesting, surely, but the study has to be one of my favorite rooms on this floor... We'll get to it later though."
missmisnomer I'll let you get a word in before we go explore upstairs XD

Yes, drowning himself in the ocean or some other large body of water was Leukos’ most fervent wish at that moment, but luckily enough for him, it would appear that today would not be his last: Niamh was being a blessedly good sport about it, appearing to move on from the whole awkward encounter. He wasn’t even teasing him or anything…how did Leukos luck out in having someone so wonderful take interest in him in the first place? He looked up from the palms of his hands, picked up his second glass, and tried his best to not grin like an idiot as he toasted Niamh back, “That’s something I can get behind.” The second time around he took the drink much slower, enjoying the warmth it seemed to cause as the liquid moved down his throat. It certainly was a... interesting mix, but altogether not an unpleasant mouth experience. Definitely stronger than he would have expected; it looked like Niamh was already feeling the effects after just one glass. He'd have to make a conscious effort to remember to hold back with the drinking: the last thing he wanted to do was make an a** of himself in another person’s home. Any more than he already had, anyways.
Not being quite sure whether or not Niamh wanted to continue the drinking in the other rooms of the house, Leukos decided to make the executive call, bringing his own glass and the bottle with him as the tour began. Not having the other boy standing so close, and moving around a bit, definitely helped to calm his nerves: at least he wasn’t fluttering about like a flustered little bird anymore. He’d really already been able to explore a bit of the main floor, having been let inside and entertained by Niamh's mother for a while. But he thought it best to humor the lad, looking properly impressed as they entered the foyer.
He placed the pads of two fingers on the railing of the stairs leading to the second level, appreciating the finely crafted woodgrain that shone so warmly. “I wouldn’t say that: there are plenty of details which give this room its own charm,” he said to Niamh, taking another drink of the wine in his hand. It really was quite good; he’d have to remember to compliment Nayeli if he saw her again. “The carving here is quite lovely, and all the colors work very harmoniously in here.”

֍ With a sip of wine in his system, Niamh sprung up a few steps and ran his hand along the shaft of the railing, "Got it from the forests in Tale. Exporting it over was quite the adventure, but it worked so well with the rest of the room it was worth a little extra effort." His fingers walked the length of the rail as he ascended the steps and pivoted to the right, "So down this way~" He chimed while floating down the hall, "End of the hall there is the master bedroom... My parent's room." Opening the door he revealed a pristine standard bedroom with a large bed, a dresser, armoire, dressing screen, and a vanity adorned with a variety of stained glass bottles, various powders, and jewelry draped across limb like hooks that extended off the side the left side of the three-panel mirror.
Opening the door to the left of the bedroom revealed a smaller study. A bookshelf of select books for his father's private study and roughly three notable series of books, each a different color blocked off in their own category and held in place by a collection of trinkets from various parts of the world. "Miri brings things back for him some times... Usually for special occasions like a birthday or anniversary but he treasures them all the same." there was also a desk and chair with leather pads on the chair and back, "Dad does some paperwork here, planning future projects and such..."
Closing both doors after Leukos got a satisfactory glance at each room Niamh directed down the hall, "The opposite side is another "master bedroom" set up similarly to my parent's room without the vanity and it's smaller. There is a bathroom directly beside it with an adjoining door and another bedroom a few feet to the right of the stairs here and one across from that." He gestured for Leu to proceed ahead and peek should his curiosity peek enough to peruse the barely furnished bedrooms, "We have never hosted enough people long enough to fully furnish the rooms, so most just have a trunk or a dresser for storage, and a larger bed or two smaller ones."
Niamh chuckled and pointed to the door closest to the stairs, "Before my sister and I demanded separate living quarters - because working for my father and living under the same roof as him was beginning to wear on us." He loved his father, but his attention to detail and demand for perfection can be maddening when you're subject to it every second of every day for years at a time. "Miri and I used to share the larger bedroom there with the two smaller beds. Though when our private bungalows were built we stole most of our furniture to finish our own living spaces~" Leaning against the open railing that peered out over the entry way below he waited for Leukos to rejoin him before sliding down the railing and gracefully landing on his feet at the bottom of the stairs without spilling a drop, "Ha!" He exclaimed while taking a celebratory sip and slipping his hand into his pocket, "That never happens~" nearly every time he's tried to slide down the rail he's biffed it in one way or another.
walking to the back of the entryway, Niamh turned left and slid open the massive door to the main study. There was a long table with three chairs- two on one side and one on the other in alternating spaces, and wall to wall book shelves. Granted most of the shelves were only half filled with books and held more art pieces and various trinkets from all around Tendaji. "This is my favorite room in the house~ I could spend an endless amount of time here." Leaning against the open door he extended an arm as to reveal the room in a grand fashion, "I will say that these pieces were collected over the years and from various places, mostly things traded to Matori and not necessarily from the region they may be from... But each has a story attached to it- or rather a brief description of what it is, from which culture and region."
It was about this time that Niamh realized that his room was left in a state of disarray, and his poor menk was likely throwing a tantrum due to the chaotic mess thrown about the room - he'd swear that critter was more a**l than his father when it came to tidiness. finishing his glass, Niamh placed the glass on an empty space on the shelf closest to him and cleared his throat, "Feel free to explore here a moment... I have to-" he scrubbed his hair and chuckled nervously, "step out for a few moments~" once excused he calmly made his way to the door at the end of the hall and once he crossed the threshold onto the walkway he sprinted to his room to begin the quickest clean-job of his young adult life~

Well, Leukos had asked for a private tour. And a tour was exactly what he got. He was honestly surprised to be allowed to enter the more personal of the rooms, especially Niamh’s parent’s private quarters. But it was interesting, to see just how it all looked: they say you can tell what kind of person someone is by the way their room looks when they don’t expect anyone to see it. And what this space told him was that they were a neat, organized couple, but not without their own unique individuality. The other rooms were lacking in personality, but that was understandable, as no one was using them currently.
Following Niamh down the stairs again, he couldn’t help the good natured laugh that bubbled up at his antics, clapping politely when he joined him at the bottom. “An impressive performance~” And then they were on the move again, reaching the aforementioned study. Which truly was quite the sight, laden with so many interesting textures and trinkets. Leukos had been in a few studies before, but this one felt like it was the most personal, the homiest. He could see why Niamh would like to spend his time here, it was very welcoming.
Taking another drink from his glass, he arched an eyebrow over the rim, lip quirking up at the corner behind the rosy liquid. Now what could his host be running off to do, and so spur-of-the-moment at that…he was left to ponder that question, as no direct answer was supplied. He tipped the glass in parting, gesturing towards the space, “I’ll be right here. Don’t forget about me this time around~”
Once the boy had made his departure, Leukos walked over to the large table, setting his glass down as he unplugged the bottle again. After pouring himself another glass, he began his exploration of the room. He traced his fingers along the spines of countless books, recognizing some of the titles, many new to him. Perhaps he and Niamh would enjoy the company of a few of them sometime in the future…lounging out in the garden seemed like a lovely location for that kind of thing. Many of the oddities on the shelves he was not familiar with as well, cautiously touching whenever he felt brave enough to. He’d just have to explore the world some day, to learn about all these interesting things for himself~
Having made his round of the room, he was brought back to the table in the center, rapping his knuckles on the wood-grain. Niamh had not returned yet. He poured himself another cup and rested his rear on the edge of the table, considering his options. Would it be ridiculous to read something? He wasn’t sure how long it would be before his host came back…but was the invitation to explore extended to exploring the pages as well? Sipping slowly at his drink, he muddled over the issue, until his eyes landed on a name he recognized, gilded in gold leaf along the spine of a book. Pacing over, he extracted the book from its pocket, turning to the cover.
It was the author of his favorite book of poems.
But this title was different, a different volume. One he hadn’t read before. He bit his lip, sawing there for a moment as he traced the illustration on the front hungrily with his eyes: surely it wouldn’t hurt to read just one? He set his glass down on the shelf next to his head, leafing to the first poem in the book. Then before he knew it, he’d turned to the second, then the third. Then he lost track of where he was, too engrossed in savoring every finely crafted word held in the velum pages.

Stepping through the doorway of his room he quickly slammed the sliding door and turned to see the chaos from earlier that day. Clothes, jewelry, shoes....all the shoes... Tiptoeing through the mess he plucked a shirt from his Menk, Eramus's, tank, to reveal the critter fluttering around the tank in a tizzy flaring his fins tapping the glass vigorously, "I'm so sorry, Okay! I'll clean it up, just calm down before you hurt yourself." Niamh cooed while wiggling his finger against the glass near Eramus.
Assessing the damage he realized there was only one thing he could do in the timeframe he had... Using his experience on rushed clean jobs Niamh gathered up his variety of clothes and piled them in the trunk at the end of his bed where he would originally have put his shoes. His shoes went in a neat orderly fashion at the bottom of his closet, then quickly plucked his various scarves, necklaces, bracelets and such and fashioned them onto the metal tree like accessory holder on his vanity. The scarves were tucked away in a side drawer along with whatever necklaces he couldn't untangle in the short amount of time he was allotting himself. Turning to the bed he ripped all the pillows, the sheet, blanket, and comforter. Starting with the sheet he draped it over the mattress, smoothed it out and tucked the corners in, then placed the first layer of pillows down, then the comforter, the accessory pillows, and folding the blanket neatly, he placed it across the length of the foot of the bed and let out a heavy sigh, 'If you'd never have been in here... you'd never know it was in complete disarray.' That is what he was going for. In a matter of minutes his dwelling went from a disaster to... Presentable at best. There were still things that could be tidied here and there, and the office...
Niamh groaned and stepped back out the sliding door into the front quarter of his living space which he separated from his bedroom so he had a place to work. His desk had a stack of papers off to the one corner that was getting far too large for comfort. Granted it was just items that needed to be looked over, logged, and filed... It was still bothersome. Sliding along the side of his desk he took the stack and stashed it atop some other papers in one of the drawers of his desk. He straightened the various trinkets and placed his quill back in its holder. Waving a hand at the desk he decided it was a lost cause and he was just going to do his best to ignore it...
Making his way back to the main house Niamh peered in the study to see Leukos with a glass of wine in one hand and a book in the other. Poetry, eh? Seemed fitting and yet another topic he would have to add to his list of things to brush up on. He leaned against the doorway and just took in the moment for himself working out a snapshot in his mind. Shaking himself free of his daydream, Niamh collected the glass he had left empty on the bookshelf and closed the distance between the two, "Enjoying the book?" He asked while refilling his own glass and returning the bottle to the table, "I apologize if I was gone for too long, It felt like only a moment, but I suppose the time goes faster when you're frantically fluttering about." He took a sip of his wine and rested on the table, "Would you like to continue our tour, or linger here a bit longer~"

With a small jump of his shoulders Leukos looked up from his book as Niamh reentered the room, the wine in his cup sloshing about for a moment. “Ah, welcome back. It was really no trouble at all, I was just becoming reacquainted with one of my favorite authors,” he said, taking another drink of his wine. “I hope that was alright―to open one of the books. It’s just been a while since I was able to read anything; I’ve been separated from my own books for quite some time. I suppose you don’t really realize how much you miss something until it’s gone.”
“But regardless,” Leukos said, snapping his book shut and placing it back in its slot on the shelf, “Literature can wait: I find the company of pleasant people preferable to written volumes any day.” He walked over to Niamh, offering the young man his elbow to take if he should like it. “So let us continue exploring your charming residence~” He paused, laughing a bit as he noticed the state of their shared beverage. “And my apologies for the wine: I think I might be overly fond of its flavors. I’ll endeavor to let you polish off a bit more of what’s left of the bottle!”

Niamh gave a laugh, "If you enjoy it, it is yours to finish." He said while raising his recently filled glass, "I feel as though this will be enough for me anyway." stepping out of the study he slid the door closed once more and proceeded outside, holding the door for his guest to step through. Once outside they found themselves on a raised wooden walkway that led a few feet to a gazebo that overlooked the garden to one side, and the other was a drop off into a thin cropping of trees, but through the branches, the markets could be seen. It was a nice place for Niamh to sit and go over numbers, he had the calm of the gardens, but the faint noise of the markets to keep him focused. "This is the newest of the structures added to the home, I wanted a place close to my room to get out and stretch my legs, but keep me focused."
Pushing off the ledge he took a sip from his glass and continued out the opposite side of the gazebo to his dwelling. Placing a hand on the door he blushed slightly, "Excuse my mess, through no fault of my own I had a frantic start to my day." His voice broke into a laugh as he opened the door to reveal his small office space, "So, this is where most of my work gets left for me to accomplish. I don't generally like doing it here because it was a tight fit just getting the desk in here, let alone sitting behind it!" Sliding the mesh screen aside he revealed his room, "And this is where I sleep." Standing along side Leu he gestured with his left hand, "Starting from the left here, we have a small closet where my clothes are hung. my bed tucked in the back left corner there. Then my vanity, which at the moment doubles as a nightstand for the moment. Then a dresser for other clothes and accessories and such." Stepping inside he walked over to his dresser and wiggled his finger close to the glass to entice his Menk to come out, "And, last but certainly not least, My beloved Menk, Eramus."
Peeking his head out briefly, Eramus pulled his fins tight to his body and jetted to the top of the tank as indicated by Niamh's finger, then fanned his fins to slow his movements and circulated his pectoral fins to remain in place. Placing a few dehydrated bits of insect at the surface of the water Niamh grinned, "He's a bit of a show-off... and expects a reward every time he chooses to display himself."
Eramus's tank was filled with many intricacies for the menk to explore. The substrate was carpeted with a lime green dwarf grass, there was a range of moss balls that gradually rolled from one end of the tank to the other, plenty of tall rock structures, hollowed driftwood, and a delicate silk leaf stuck to the front of the tank near the surface. Once the menk had his fill of the snacks provided he chose to rest there on the leaf. The tank itself couldn't have been more than 20 gallons, but the little menk had the run of it.
Niamh laughed and stepped back from the tank, "Strange to be so attached to something so small... I've had him for years now and..." trailing off Niamh shook his head, "Well," he held out his arms as if to present the room, "Here it is~ Essentially the finale of our tour~" Yes, there was his sister's room that hadn't been toured, but all that remained there were some of her larger furiture that hadn't made it on the ship, and his painting supplies; none of which seemed worth presenting at the time.

“Well then, don’t mind if I do. Thank you,” Leukos said, refilling his own glass. There looked to be about one more cup left in the bottle; should be easy enough to finish off. He’d been taking it rather slowly thus far, but enough time had passed since they opened the wine that the first two speedy glasses he’d drank were finally hitting him. It wasn’t enough to leave him impaired by any means, but he was definitely working with a nice buzz at the moment. This honestly had to be the strongest wine he’d ever tried before; it was more like a high proof liquor than anything else. Good thing they were only having one bottle!
As they continued the tour, Leukos followed along, appreciating the sights and company as he worked on his drink. Niamh’s choice in personal decor and accessories definitely matched what he had expected to find: things were colorful and flashy, but still balanced out enough to be tasteful. Even his pet seemed to match his personality, floating about in his little enclosure like a shining pearl. “He’s lovely, Niamh. And I don’t find it strange at all to be close to something that has been a part of your life for so long. Animals especially have a way of working themselves into your heart, moreso sometimes than people do,” he said, taking a final drink from his glass.
Leukos finished off pouring the bottle, setting that aside on the desk as he shrugged, “But that’s just my opinion anyways.” There seemed to be a definite finality out of the situation, standing still together as things came to a natural close. The bottle was empty, their chores were done, they were alone...surely the fact that Niamh had chosen to end the tour in his own personal quarters had to mean something. And the way he’d been acting earlier down in the cellar…
Driven by assumptions made, and perhaps some of the alcohol coursing through his veins, Leukos slipped a hand around Niamh’s waist, pivoting to bring the other boy standing close between he and the desk. “Yes, here we are, just the two of us…” he purred, kissing the temple of Niamh’s head as he slid his hand lower along his waist. “But it doesn’t quite feel like a tour alone is a fitting finale for such an eventful day, now does it...?”

Leukos's embrace sent shivers up his spine as he pulled closer, releasing a slow breath against his neck, "I may have had ulterior motives..." he slowly pulled away to lean against the desk,"Ending the tour here~" Niamh reached out and tugged Leukos close, knocking the bottle back behind his desk. the noise itself caused him to jump, but as he turned to see it roll back against the wall he smirked. Turning he brushed his hands from one end of the desk to the other, sliding everything toward the back, and off to one side, clearing the surface he turned back to Leukos, "Well, now that's better~"
In one fluid motion he pulled Leukos close, slid up onto the desk and cupped his cheek and kissed him deeply. Running his other hand through Leu's hair Niamh breathed, "A little more aligned with what you had in mind for a finale?~" Niamh's body trembled with anticipation; he was nervous, but every inch of him yearned for his touch. Nibbling delicately on the base of Leu's ear, he whispered softly, "I want you so bad...."
missmisnomer 8'D the finale to my show came on... It's short, but I think that about covers it~ If you want me to add I will in an hour XD

To say that Leukos had been caught off guard by the sudden impulsive intensity that Niamh displayed as he effectively cleared off and pulverized any semblance of order left on his desk would have been an understatement. In fact, it made him audibly let out a sound; almost akin to a gasp, but came out more as a startled grunt. And with the surprise his heartbeat had jumped to a stuttered gallop, the energy in the room suddenly amped up. But as the other Matoran pulled him in for a heated kiss, breath husky as he made his desires known, any previous reservations that might have lingered were swept away as easily as all the clutter on the desk.
“Well if that's how we're going to do this…” Leukos breathed back, low and filled with wanting. He dropped the glass that he'd been holding, which clattered unceremoniously on the edge of the desk and fell to the floor, sloshing the rosy wine held inside down the side of the wood. It sounded like it might have broken, but Leukos found that under the circumstances, he couldn't really be bothered to care: not with Niamh’s taste still on his lips and fingers laced into his hair.
With both hands now free to do whatever they wanted, he gripped Niamh’s thighs and pulled the smaller lad flush with his groin, legs straddled around his hips. And then they were pulling aside the top of his robe, exposing all of Niamh’s lovely pale skin, just begging for attention. He slid his hand along the slim column of his neck, weaving his fingers into the base of Niamh’s hair as he tilted his head back.
Resting his forehead on Niamh’s, golden eyes locked together in a lusty gaze, he went in for another kiss, murmuring huskily against plump lips, “Let's make another mess together~”
