"A few months? Surely you mean a few hours." Teased Arima as she rested against Saraf, "Oh yes, I'm sure they'll handle things well. I think we've cut off enough foolishness today." Perhaps it was a bit of a bad pun on the guy's hand, but still...the Matori could only faintly grin before the healer had her attention.

"Eh?" But any protests were gone as Saraf said 'my Arima'. Just hearing those words made the Matori's cheeks deepen to a lovely shade of violet. I suppose...if Saraf knows something then I'll just go along with him... In the back of her mind though the words 'my Arima' were ringing. Had she been smacked around too much just now or did he really just say that? Perhaps he had been smacked around too much...

As they went outside Arima walked alongside Saraf for a bit before finding a calmer area to slow down at, "Did you really want to say something or was that a ruse to get away from the scene quickly?" She finally asked as she glanced over towards Saraf with curiosity. Was there really something going on that she didn't know about?

Saraf headed outside of the tavern with Arima, glad to get some fresh air as his mind seemed to reel over the information that they had been given. He felt that there really was no other reason for someone to refer to 'Arima's condition' in such a manner unless it meant what he thought that it meant. There was a moment where he wanted to ask how it happened... but he knew exactly how it happened. He wasn't a foolish youngling that didn't understand how things worked after all.

"Ahh... yes and yes." He said, both feeling that the two of them should talk but also felt that they should get away from the scene. He turned to look down at Arima for a long moment before he said, "We definitely have much to talk about now but I don't think we should do the talking in front of a bar full of strangers. I thought it best for us to excuse ourselves."

Lifting a hand up he scratched it against his chin in a thoughtful manner, "So about your... ahh, condition... can you use your magic to confirm it? To make sure that she was reading things right about you... being... pregnant?" Saying the words out loud felt a touch strange, not to mention far more real. They'd spoken of children the last time that they were together and it would appear as though the goddess Hatald had blessed them after that discussion, hadn't she?

Arima raised a brow at the vague answer. Yes and yes? So he did have something on his mind other than escape? The pale Matori frowned thoughtfully as she tried to think of what could be wrong. The woman tilted her head at his puzzling responses, "Alright then..." So they walked and they walked...while it may have in reality been a short while for Arima the pathway seemed to go on forever. She truly hated having to wait for answers after all.

"Confirm my condi-" Arima's words halted as Saraf finished, "Preg...pregnant....as in....being with child....but I would....we would.....oh my." Her cheeks flushed a deep violet as she realized that they had indeed. Maybe once, but once was enough after all...

"I suppose I can check....I just...may I sit down....I think the world is spinning..." Arima blinked as she swayed on her feet from the surprise and the overwhelming confusion.

Saraf nodded his head as she had a similar to reaction to the news that he did, with her brain seeming to be working overtime. He gave a nod of his head and said, "I think that is what she meant and it's just... wow." It was somewhat overwhelming news to hear because it was so unexpected but at the same time he found himself excited.

Reaching out he wrapped an arm around Arima, hugging the woman close when she said that the world was spinning, "Come on, let's fine a calmer place to sit down. There is a park nearby, that should be a good place to sit down, catch our breath, and check." With that he started to lead the way toward said park, keeping his eyes closely on Arima, worried about her now. Between the brawl at the tavern, the one that was tugging her around earlier, and now this news... it all made him want to keep a close eye on her as they went.

The moment the tiny park came into view he gave a sound of relief and said, "There it is, let's find a bench to sit down on."

Arima slowly nodded her head as she allowed Saraf to lead her. Babies...just the thought of them made her stomach churn. Was she even ready? She hadn't even braced herself for marriage yet! Talk about the gods speeding things along. The Matori's cheeks flushed at the thought. At least it seemed that Saraf was handling it well....was he happy? Sheepishly she glanced up towards the Oban. If he was happy then she was...happy. Perhaps extremely surprised, but not disappointed or angry? Just...startled mainly.

As they walked she pointed towards a bench that seemed a little secluded, "There." The Matori leaned against Saraf as she slowly inched towards it. If she was pregnant then everything would be taken super slowly and carefully. Suddenly she felt as if she were walking on eggshells rather than the sands beneath her feet.

Saraf gave a nod of his head, moving over to where the bench she pointed out was located, easing her down onto it when they arrived, "How are you feeling? Are you alright? Not just the whole... possible baby thing but back there. He didn't rough you up did he?" He wondered if he should have done more. Perhaps not allowed her to heal the grabby hands of that particular jerk? Giving a shake of his head to clear those sorts of thoughts he tried to then focus on what was going on in the present.

Settling down on the bench next to her despite the fact that he felt as though he were being filled with an endless amount of nervous energy. There was that part of him that wanted to start to pacing a bit but felt it might upset Arima if the other healer's words ended up being true. He didn't want to work up Arima anymore then she'd already been worked up today. Instead he should do his best to help her keep calm... though he wasn't quite sure where to even start with that.

Arima moved slowly as she sat down. "I'm okay..." She said quietly though her mind was still reeling from everything that had happened, "I'm more worried about you, are you alright? I didn't have the mob of men coming after me after all..." She trailed off and bit her bottom lip as she reached a hand down to her stomach sheepishly. Obviously it was still flat, but she was curious - could the lady have been correct about her condition?

"Honestly I'm afraid to check." She found herself whispering as she glanced up at Saraf, "If it's true...I....you....I mean...." Her voice was hesitant, "Will everything be okay if it is?" Were they prepared at all? Of course not. Could they quickly adapt? Possibly? So many fears and questions were running through the woman's mind after all.

He shook his head, "A few hits here and there but nothing to really worry about... they were drunk and greedy, I distracted them by tossing some coins in the air." It was more then worth both the pain and the money to get to where Arima was. He'd been so worried that he wouldn't be able to catch up and that she'd disappear. Something that was made even more terrifying now given the news that the two of them were given. What if she'd vanished while pregnant? It was a scary thought.

"It's understandable. It's a rather big thing to face... so take your time, Arima." He murmured, reaching out to take her hands in his, giving them a squeeze. Giving a nod of his head he said, "Of course! I know that I was... not the best person when I was younger but I'd like to think I've grown up a lot since then. I would never leave you for such a reason, especially since I did have a part in it."

Leaning in he gave her a kiss on the forehead in what he hoped was a soothing manner. He wanted her to know that he wouldn't just run after learning if the news was true or not, that was the opposite of what he'd do. In fact he felt that the two of them should get married feeling it would be good for them and for their children, so that nobody would accuse a lady like Arima of being his mistress or something.

"I'm sorry." Arima's gaze lowered sheepishly, "I feel as if I'm always causing some form of trouble for you." She was thankful, however, that he was alright. If something ever happened to him because of her then the healer would never forgive herself. Though the healer did make a note to herself that she would find a way to pay him back for the loss. If he even considered it that.

Arima's gaze softened at Saraf's assurances, "I'm glad to hear that..." At the kiss her gaze widened a bit and tears flooded her gaze, "You..." Arima hung her head sheepishly as she tried to blink back the tears, "I'm sorry I don't know what came over me." She forced a small smile before glancing back up at Saraf, "I suppose I should just get it over with then."

She lowered her hands to her stomach and concentrated. It was faint, but there was enough of a light to let her know that there was indeed life inside of her. A flush decorated the healer's cheeks as she slowly nodded and looked to Saraf, "It's true - she wasn't lying to me." Her words were soft and hesitant as she looked to Saraf, "I suppose that means...we'll be parents then." The Matori glanced away shyly, "I just don't want you to feel obligated to be with me because of this...that's all." She wanted him to be with her because he wanted to be regardless of having children together...in her heart she knew, but at the same time the woman was still embracing the fact that Saraf indeed had chosen her and liked her.

"Things are never dull when you're around... but it's alright. You definitely make my life more interesting and enjoyable." He said with a little chuckle. When it wasn't fights in taverns it was the two of them challenging and teasing one another or her getting lost in sand storms. Nothing was boring when Arima was around, he'd definitely give her that.

As she got all teary at the kiss Saraf felt his stomach give a flip, "Ah! Sorry... I..." He hadn't been looking for that sort of reaction. For a moment he found himself wondering if it was a pregnancy thing, having heard women could get emotional from it... but he decided not to ask. Not when they didn't even know if it was what was going on with her. Instead he just gave her a smile and said, "It's all going to be alright, Arima, no matter the results."

A moment later said results were in, with Arima confirming that the other woman was correct in her guess about Arima's condition. It was something that caused his heart to start racing in his chest as he tried to decide what they should do first. As she mentioned that he shouldn't feel obligated he gave a bit of a laugh and said in a reassuring manner, "Naw, you know that I was already planning on surprising you a ring, Arima. This just means I will get it to you sooner then later is all."

"Don't apologize!" She protested with a flush, "I just uh got a bit carried away." It was silly getting all touched over a small kiss to the forehead, but the tender moment had caught her off guard. It truly had just made her that happy. At his confession the healer found herself laughing, "I suppose that works then." She bit her bottom lip sheepishly, "I hope you're certain since you'll be stuck with me~" Teasingly she smiled up at him before reaching out to hug him close.

That being said the healer closed her eyes to rest a moment and to just detail it all in her memories~ Truly she couldn't be any happier than she was in this moment.
