Ajax's body did not move, but shook slightly in its fatigue. The paws under him, felt raw from the siding and digging that was receptively made. Dark claws, slipped from his paws as he tested their remain sturdiness. They at least had held up. Ebony tail flicked behind him as the dagger was removed from him and his own stance could relax slightly. The cub remained still.
"I accept and understand." His stubborn gaze sharped with a new found respect for the elder and slowly his dark gaze reflected an unspoken greatfulness.
Ajax didn't speak or show any concern for his father and what he was to do. They knew what needed to be done and Adonis seemed to know what was to happen-if he was accepted as a trainee

Kyle only looked allowed his attention to linger on the cub a moment more. He turned about to face the father, though his ears remained poised backward toward the cub. Always aware. Kyle lifted his head high as he watched Adonis. There was nothing more to say, but he remained in silence as a 'speak now or forever hold your peace' gesture. Not that anything would change the pact just forged. But Kyle did believe Adonis earned this moment.

A worn breath left the cub as his opponent turned his head to look over at the elder, who had watched the fight attentively. As his new teacher turned to face him, Ajax let his body relax. Picking up his heavy paws he straightened himself and looked at his father. Was there anything that his word barring father wanted to say?
The Cub's proud chest puffed and heaved as he slowly caught on to the breath that he had lost in the scuffle. Black eyes watched his father carefully....

As Attention was turned on him Adonis looked from the large b'alam to look at his son. Moving to his paws, Adonis took a moment to look at his own carved. Moving from his perch he started toward the two black b'alam. Taking in a slow breath, Adonis head tilted upward and he let out a roar as he approached. He cheered for his Son.
"This is my Son, Whom I am well pleased in!" The B'alam announced proudly as if the whole world had been in audience for the moment. With in places, Adonis stopped before the Dragon Warrior and his son.
"Well done, Ajax. " Adonis spoke, knowing the importance of a cub knowing their father's approval. "You make Naraan vary proud. " His father smiled, before lowering his head to places his forehead on his Son's
"Learn well," The yellow older softly said his 'goodbye', knowing he would not see Ajax again till he was fully grown. "Tah." He added for the first time not calling his son 'cub'.
Raising his horns, Adonis turned his attention to the Dragon Warrior. "Tah, Kyle. Thank you. " The Elder stated with a tilt of his horns.

Kyle only watched as the father approached his son in the loudest of fashions. Inwardly he writhed. What an obnoxious gesture. Hopefully it did not go to the cub's head. Still. He had allowed a final word and he was going to stick to it. This cub would have to settle with some changes in his life. He would be verbally coddled no more! When attention returned to himself from the other Tah he lifted his chin a bit. Once again sticking to his "not so verbal" policy. However, Adonis would receive a slight nod, very slight, nod of approval.

Ajax's dark ears widen and perked forward as his father spoke and cheered for him. The cub would have tilted a little, had he not been so surprised. That was something his Father had never done before. Blinking, Ajax's maw slacked a little and was only brought back to the moment as he felt his dad's forehead on his own. The soft click of their horns tapping caused him to blink once more. His father had been proud of him and didn't call him 'cub'.
"Y-Yes, Father." The answer finally was pulled from the maw of the cub, as Adonis drifted away and thanked 'Kyle'.
So that was his name...
Dark tail shifted and flicked behind him as he silently promised to himself that he would continue to make his clan and Tribe proud.

Nodding to Kyle, Adonis gave his son one last more look before he turned himself to leave the Arena. Giving Ajax a smile, the Elder took his leave. His white and yellow tail raised proudly as he moved away from his son and his new found teacher. He knew there was nothing more left to say.

Kyle wanted the father's exodus until that sickeningly proud tail had vanished. Once he was gone he turned his head and bore his eyes down on the cub.
"Break any rules and your neck will also be token. Am I clear?" Kyle spoke stoically. He wanted affirmation before setting the rules. The cub was already a part of the unit, there was no turning back unless he wanted to bring the shame with him. This cub seemed too determined for that! Despite his lack of praise, Kyle too was impressed. Though there was no sign outwardly of it.

As Kyle spoke, Ajax's dark ear turn to the adult. His black tail shifted behind him as his smaller body turned to face his teacher. His ears turned toward the Warrior. Dark orbs looked up to him with a determined shine as he took in the threat...Warning that was made.
Blinking, the cub didn't seem concerned or moved by the demand. Ajax had been use to work, threats and more importantly...rules. Impressed or not, the cub only knew fighting and training his whole life. It was his clan's passion
"Yes." Ajax kept his answer simple for the elder, his maw showed no emotion. It was obvious that Kyle didn't appecite words, and perferred actons over them. Which was fine for the cub, it made things easier. He could do both, and was taught to be adaptable.
Ebony tail shifted behind Ajax's hunches as he waited for his teacher to contuine speaking.
The Rules where simple so far....

Kyle's maw threatened to reveal his appreciation for the quick and to the point response. He was quick to correct this. For eyes as yellow as the sun, they were cold as the looked down his snout to the cub.
"You will remain in camp, you will not interact with anyone outside this unit unless instructed otherwise, you eat, drink, sleep only when we say, you follow orders and listen to command. And above all, you loyally follow our Lord Shen." Kyle continued on mechanically.
"Do you understand?" The question should have been unnecessary, but Kyle was still gauging the warrior. He had the skills to fight, but there was another aspect to being a great soldier...

Ajax's gaze remained unmoved as he looked up to the golden-eye behomath before him. The subtle shift of his teacher's maw did not go unnoticed. It however went ignored, he was use to with Crucible. It was good to see, but he knew best not to address. So he never did. A lot that he learned growing up, was used now, and Ajax was thankful for it.
"Yes." Ajax spoke easily and confadient once more. He had expected as much, and demanded no less. The cub was perpared for this, and determined to be the strongest of the troup. Taking in a slow deep breath, the cub siliently released it as he did his best to control the excitment that threatened to shudder his body. His dark sleek fur, slowly started to puff mildly with excitment.
This was everything he wanted, and the best gift he could hope to have gotten from his Father. However better yet, it was something that Ajax won and gave himself.

"Follow" Kyle ordered than begin to walk toward another path leading away from the arena. He did not stop to see if the cub would obey. The cub knew the rules. Instead he continued toward the narrow rocky path leading toward the burning lands near an earth-vent. Steam hissed from various cracks in the hot ground. This was not a normal path for the soldiers, but it was one Kyle was resolved to take for Ajax.

Large paws quickly moved and hopped in a trot to keep a respectful pace behind his teacher. Ajax was happy to be order to move, it made it easy to distribute and expell the excitement he felt.
Following after Kyle, Ajax released a breath and let his body sway slightly in his akward growing trot. His body wasn't as lanky as it should be for his age. He was still stubby and bulky with akward paws, still bigger then a normal cub his age-but still smaller then an adult. The black puff of hair on his head swayed and bounced as he kept pace with Kyle, the hissing of stem when unnotice. Dark eyes kept focus on his Teacher as he was careful to place his paws where Kyle did.
Ajax was curious to where they were going, but didn't think too long on it. All would be answered when they reached were every they where going.

Kyle's ears swiveled back to listen for the cub's gait. He only guessed the cub would be slightly raw from their tussle. The path lead away from the tall rise of the arena toward even more hissing vents. The land was raw and increasingly hot. There were strange rock formations rising up from thee ground, some leaned on each other making shallow caves. Everything on the horizon danced in the heat rising from the ground. Kyle's paws had already long since had grown calloused to the terrain. He had once seen Volga training his paws the same way. Kyle had quickly taken to this method himself.

Ajax was swift to follow after his teacher. His paws were sore and a little raw, but it wasn't anything he could not over come. Heat terrian wasn't something he was unfamiliar with. Crucible demanded it be something he would train on. They were of fire, so they must be tempered by such.
The ground however, was much hotter, then was use too. The pads of his paws hissed slightly as the exposed flesh was seared. A huff of annoyance left the cub, but his uneven trot refused to slow.

Kyle's ear twitched to the sudden huff from the cub. But he continued on. His eyes focused on the wavy horizon before them. Just past the hot terrain was cracked earth and more shallow caves. One of which seemed to be their destination. It almost appeared as a camping ground made of rocky structures. The ground did not appear to be hissing over there. However, though not as intense, was still hot. "This will be your bed. Each day we will walk across the scorched earth to the arena and back again." Kyle instructed. He had already done so so many times the task was trivial. "Beyond this area there is game. Which you will hunt to feed yourself."

Ajax's ears remained pinned back as attention focused on his path. His paws just as always stop feeling sensation when worn and torn. A grin slipped across his maw, that is right. He was in control of his body not the other way around. The huff of annoyance was only at his body's own weakness.
as the two of them slowed, Ajax let his eyes turn to his new found home. His head tilted a little bit, as he thought that it wasn't that bad of living quarters. It was warm, and confined.
dark ears perked as he spoke about hunting his own food. that was a reasonable request. Something that he had done with others. He could do it by himself.
Looking back to his Teacher, Ajax nodded.
"I understand." The cub answered, giving a verbal response
