It had been some time since she finisher her meal, yet the two young lovebirds sat there comfortably in each other's arms. Other than the occasional sigh, the two shared some small talk about rather unimportant things when Fleade suddenly got an idea. "Elthy, will you teach me some of Oba’s dance styles?" She wasn’t quite strong enough to hold a sword yet in her injured hand but she could still work on strengthening the rest of the body. It didn't seem like the oban woman was coming back down anytime soon so she thought they would be safe to let their guard down.

"Did you pick up that nickname from Varinia so fast?" he smiled at her. Previously Var was the only one to call him that. It seemed as though it was catching though.
"As for your other question I would like nothing more than to teach you some of the Oban dances I think you would greatly enjoy them." He idly curled his fingers through her hair. It was such an unusual color for him and he found it dangerously attractive.

As soon as they were both suitable again, Varinia sighed as she made her way back to where she had last seen Keelthy. She opted to leaving her spear in Reil's room, just in case, she told herself. Not that she was above trading punches with another, but, spears were easier to throw than swords.
Walking into the dining room, the table had been pushed aside to what appeared to be dancing lessons. She had to admit that if the horrible person that was the ice woman would learn to dance for Keelthy, she'd be happy for it. "Keelthy?" She called out hesitantly. Vari was going to have to apologize and she did not want to.

Reillan trailed behind Vari with a most satisfied look on his face. He couldn't help it, he was the happiest man. He laid a hand gently on Var's back, she was being very brave, it was one thing to face a million opponents, it was another to apologize to one. He didn't like doing it and he knew that she didn't either. It made him feel more confidant that he had chosen the right woman.

Keelthy peeked out from behind a doorway, anxiety written on his face. He was more concerned with what Varinia would do now than what she had recently been doing judging from the heavenly smile on his brother's handsome face.
But he could always jump in the way if he needed to. There was no spear anymore at least and that could only be seen as a good thing. "Come my dear, we will try one more time."

As the two other Obans entered the room once more, Ethelfleade was instantly on guard for herself and for Keelthy. Things seemed a little different though. The oban woman almost looked reluctant, like a Raprix bit a hole in her pants and if she turned around she'd be exposed. As Keelthy told her to continue Fleade waited, a hand on her dance partner's arm for whatever small measure of comfort it could provide. Of course, the hand would also serve to pull him out of the way if needed. For now there was nothing to say so the ice woman waited, body tight and ready to act.

It was almost as if time had slowed as she rounded the corner to where Elthy sat with her. Varinia couldn't stop the ice that filled her eyes or her voice. With a deep breath, Varinia stated directly at Ethelfleade. “I apologize for trying to kill you. Perhaps I acted at little rashly. It won't happen again. Unless you hurt my Elthy, then it's game on.” And with that duty done, she turned away from the couple at the table and busied herself around, gathering up this and that ingredient and added it to the stew that was already prepared on the fire. It was nothing new and the boys likely weren't surprised Varinia stepped in to supplement their prepared food. She scooped up two bowls and offered one to Reillan.

Reillan quirked a satisfied brow at his mate, a part of him was milfly jealous she had claimed his brother but well they were practically family and his Var had a protective streak a mile wide. He smiled at her warmly but said nothing as she finished their stew for them. He took the bowl with gratitude and started to shovel. He was awfully hungry after all. When she came back with her bowl he tugged her onto his lap and lounged decadently.

Keel nodded his own thanks at Var and while she was distracted buried his face into Fleades neck and inhaled deeply. He was happy now that he knew a fight wouldnt erupt on him and his brother in a way that would put them in the most awkward defensive position. He felt every muscle in his body relax, except notably the one that kept his jaw shut.

Ethelfleade, clearly feeling very awkward with the current situation. Namely having another woman come into the place she had sort of made her home the last couple of months and completely take over, like she owned the house. It made her wonder what else she didn't know about the guys when this Varinia seems to be a pretty big part of it. Her foot swung as she leaned into Keelthy and made imaginary shapes on the floor. She cleared her throat to try and clear the frog she was sure resided there before speaking. “Um, Varinia, I believe I heard Keelthy or Reillan mention you're aspiring to be a rider?” Would that be an okay conversation starter? Or would she sound nosy, or judgemental. Hopefully neither.

Varinia raised an eyebrow at both the boys in turn. So they had been talking about her had they? Maybe she'll have to teach them a lesson about talking about people behind their backs!! The oban woman's mouth was set in a thin like as she studied the other woman. With a sigh, she decided she would grant the girl an answer. “I am. I rescued a kinfa from a dealer who had been mistreating her. The taming compound the Lady Naevius runs has helped me to get her back to health and now on her training. When she gets bigger we can focus on learning to fly.” Well, she'd said more than she'd intended. But that's what normally happened when she talked about Delia.

Reillan preened as his precious caported herseld with poise and kindness that he knew would resurface again once she had calmed down. He made not of the thing that calmed her down and resolved to use it more often. He winked at her. She was so beautiful his lovely cactus flower a bloom in a harsh world making life all the more beautiful and complicated.
He sidled close and wrapped an arm around her, kissing her temple sweetly. "You will be amazing with that kinfa one day my love.”

Well he had never seen that look on his brother's face before. He smirked at Reillan then turned a sweeter smile on Fleade. "Fleade like me uses double blades but she is far more lethal with hers mine are more for show. Var has a great spear and Reillan has the worlds most cumbersome sword I don't know how he lifts that thing. We also have Xarthin who is currently ruling the stables. I believe dad may use him for breeding which scares me, he has far too much personality for a janarim."

Fleade smiled slightly at Keelthy. She too saw the change in Reillan since the woman showed up. And while she was happy for him, it made her worry for him and at the same time made her slightly…..jealous? The ice woman mentally scolded herself. She had no right to feel such a way about Reil. A small sigh forced her mind forward. “I saw a few Kinfa rider's when I first left home for Jauhar. They were some fierce fighters. I don't know how I would be able to fly up in the sky as they do, my feet like to stay planted on the ground. You are braver than I am for wanting to pursue such a talent.” Or crazy, Fleade added to herself. If she were friends with the woman she might have said it aloud but with things finally being civil it was best that she wasnt.
She turned to Keelthy. “Don't demote your skill. I might be better with my blades, like Reil is with his, but sometimes the most deadly person can be the person you'd last expect.”

“Someday.” She said back to Reil. When that day would be she didn't know but each day held promise and she would keep working towards it. Vari gave him a quick peck on the cheek. “Yeah, Elthy, don't forget you have the element of surprise!! You could catch someone by surprise and do as much with less skill than someone might with greater skill but the attack is expected.” Varinia gave the ice woman a look though, knowing the other spoke from experience. Naevius never expected what that woman had done to her. Naevius had just been trying to do the right thing, which was rare enough in those days, not to mention rare for their people at the time.
