Already, he could feel the warmth of Elysion beginning to dry out their soggy attire and his head tilted up, eyes closing as he embraced the comfort his world brought to him.

She seemed startled - he couldn't exactly blame her, considering his abruptness in transporting her there. In hindsight, he should have asked. Really, he should have approached things fairly differently from the start, but patience was far from his greatest virtue as Seal's Eye once again allowed his excitement to get the better of him.

His eyes opened and he smiled at her, moving to once more lay claim to her gloved hand. It didn't matter that both his and hers were soaked, fingers intertwining with one another as he moved forward, guiding her along the beach's edge.

"This is my sanctuary. One of the most sacred places in all of Earth, tucked away and protected by our Princess."

His voice held his reverence for Helios, the one soul he took command from. Even in their absence, Seal's Eye remained true to his duties. Granted, Helios might have raised an eyebrow at the appearance of a Negaverse senshi in Elysion's midst....

Well, what Helios wasn't aware of wouldn't hurt anything, right?

Squeezing her fingers, his other arm gestured out to the scenery surrounding them.

"I felt you deserved to see my world, since you've been gracious enough to allow me to be into yours."

He paused in his explanation, the tips of his elf-like ears turning a faint shade of pink. "I mean, in your dreams, that is."

Even with the warmth of this place, Hydra suspected that her hair would stay damp for a long while, if only for it's length and thickness. That, combined with how it lay against her back, practically guaranteed that she would be wet for far longer than her companion. Her hair was a heavy weight as they walked, but she did her best to ignore the way it pulled and even dragged on the sand as he led her, too giddy to be holding his hand to think of protesting.

"It's absolutely beautiful, Sealie." She breathed, glancing out at the waves lapping at the shore even though all she wanted to do was watch him as they walked.

"I promise, as long as I'm able. I won't let anything happen to it, okay?" She squeezed their joined fingers in promise. It was important to him, his home and his world, and he'd shared it with her, which made it terribly important to the young woman.

She paused, halting in her step to tug on their joined hands so he would be forced to halt too. "Hey," she said quiet but stern. "You're part of my world, okay? Dreams and otherwise. Don't - " her voice wavered slightly, because all she wanted to do was drag him down to her level and maybe kiss him again, a feeling which she berated because - Akio. "You're my best friend, okay. There's no world without you in it for me."

He couldn't help but grin at her promise, though the smile lacked its full luster. If only Hydra knew of the last time anyone from her faction had stepped foot on his sands...

The Negaverse had little intention of protecting Elysion, but the idea that she'd so adamantly wanted to protect his world, well, it was endearing to say the least. Her determination was commendable, but a little voice in the back of his mind was quick to remind him that she was still a senshi, loyal to her Queen.

Shooing away the negative thoughts, he turned to gaze down at her and found himself once again struggling to breathe, especially with how dear she was behaving towards him. Truly, Hydra was his best friend as well and the beautiful girl had captivated his heart as well as his own devotion.

Yet the more he studied her face, the more tempting it became to reach up and cup her cheek, to brush his thumb across her pale skin and lean down to----

They needed to talk of different things - safer subjects. Ones that didn't involve how soft her lips looked or the gentle slope of her nose. Ones that didn't involve how her eyes gazed up at him with all the affection in the world, or the way the dark crevice on her forehea---oh!

"You look different, my Lady." One gloved hand rose to gesture towards the new additions to her attire. "Your outfit... it's changed. I apologize if I'm only just now noticing it, but... I didn't realize that sailor scouts could alter their uniforms."

Her smile faltered, brow crinkling with confusion as the smile he offered her didn't seem to be as genuine as she had come to expect from him. Had she said something wrong?

Panic fluttered about her heart.

The way he looked at her made her feel lightheaded, dizzy, and she stepped forward, ready to steady herself with a palm against his chest. She lacked the courage to stretch up and press her lips against his, the thumping of her heart telling her she was too scared that he would rebuff her, despite the kiss at the fountain, and guilt, there was guilt that was clouding her thoughts.

Still, Hydra couldn't help but wish he'd kiss her again.

Pushing aside the thoughts was difficult, when he was making her heart race like --

Carefully, Hydra pulled her hand away from his and started to walk forward again, putting space between them. Her cheeks were flushed, her heart a steady off-tempo rhythm as she tried to remind herself that this wasn't how she should have been behaving.

But...it was Seal's Eye.

Her heart was going to betray her.

"I wish I got to choose my outfit. The skirt seemed to get shorter after..." She glanced over his shoulder, a conflicted smile on her mouth. "I got a promotion...though I considering the circumstances...I don't know if it was deserved or not."

A promotion?

He could feel his heart sink into his stomach as he watched her walk away, hesitant for a moment to follow after her footsteps. If she was advancing in the ranks of the Negaverse... what did that mean for her goals? Her duties?

Seal's Eye wasn't stupid. The Negaverse rewarded their ranks for due diligence and hard work, so it was obvious that Hydra had more going on in her life that didn't involve entertaining his presence in her dreams and being an everyday young lady with everyday problems.

"I'm sure the likes of the Negaverse wouldn't promote someone without justified reasoning." He said solemnly, struggling to keep his expression passive and his attitude light. "You seem dedicated in all that you do, Lady Hydra - it should come as no surprise that they would want to advance you."

He finally moved forward to follow, his height adding in his favor as he closed in the gap between them. No - he trusted Hydra, trusted her more than any normal person he knew even, Aurora excluded. Surely she set aside her focuses of the Negaverse's needs when they were together... right?

"I'd be proud of yourself - clearly you've caught someone's attention."

"I suppose not." She was dismissive, clearly not wanting to get into the details of her promotion. As he got closer to her, she seemed to quicken her steps even if she knew it was futile. "It doesn't matter. It happened and now I'm a super." She shrugged, finding a long strand of hair that'd fallen over her shoulder to toy with it between her gloved fingertips.

"I can teleport now, sometimes, and I guess that's nice." It was convenient certainly, because it allowed her to find him so much faster than it would have taken her to get to the park by foot, super powers and all. ''Dunno what else comes with it." She hadn't tested any of her abilities yet, too concerned with repeating her previous follies.

Finally she stopped walking, swaying in the sand before she slowly shifted, until she faced him. Swallowing because there was a lump in her throat she shrugged. "Yeah, dunno if he'd be proud or not." It was so hard to tell how Obsidian would react to anything. If anything, he would just increase the difficult of their training sessions, because, as far as she could tell, she was never going to be strong or fast enough for him.

"Though, I suppose I caught your attention too and - " she smiled ruefully, "that's something special, to me at least."

"Teleporting is good."

Why was she evading him? Had he upset her again? She'd already tried to squirm her way free once - was he misreading all of her signals?

What was it with him and misunderstanding women, these days? Hadn't he once been relatively smooth when it came to interacting with the opposite sex??

When she said he, Seal's Eye took pause. Hydra was probably referring to her direct superior, the a** who'd been responsible for several of the bruises that littered her body when they'd first begun to meet in her dreams. He hadn't even realized he'd been scowling, not until she mentioned catching his attention, referring to him as being special. The creases in his expression curved upwards and he shook his head, one hand rising to readjust the pelisse across his chest.

"You flatter me, my Lady, but I confess I'd much rather you direct it towards myself than your General, of all people."

Selfish? Maybe. But Seal's Eye had never pretended to be perfect.

He noted how her hair still sagged from the great weight of the water drenching the strands. Ugh - how could he have been so stupid? Of course she wasn't feeling comfortable - being wet was second nature to him, but for a young woman, surely it was awkward and terrible and all things he should have noticed sooner.

"I'm sorry, Lady Hydra - I wasn't thinking. You probably wish to head home and dry off." One hand outstretched itself in offering as he shook his head a second time. "If you would do me the honor, I'd be happy to take you anywhere you wish."

He paused, then smiled.

"Unless...you'd like to try out your new teleporting skills?"

For some reason, looking at him hurt, because when her green-eyed gaze met his blue one she wanted nothing more than to close space between them and twine arms around his neck and she couldn't. As perfect feeling as that kiss at the fountain was, she knew that wanting more was greedy, selfish, and wrong.

The scowl on his face was marring his handsome features and she found herself walking towards him before she could think twice. She reached out to smooth her thumb over his forehead. "You've never liked him," she mused, smiling sadly at him while her fingers slid down the side of his face.

She wondered if she would be able to choose between them if it came down to it. Hydra hoped it would never come down to that.

"Sealie," she said gently. "Don't apologize, spending time with you is worth a little wet hair and clothing." Daring to be bold, she stretched to kiss him only to hesitate last moment and press her lips chastely against his cheek instead. "I got to meet you, in person, outside of dreams - it's more than I could have hoped for, okay?"

And she didn't really want the moment to end, too ready to bask in the beauty that was Elysion and the company that was arguably her favorite person. "I don't mind staying longer but - back to the fountain is fine."

"He beats you, of course I don't like him." His nose scrunched up and he gave her an indignant expression, her thumb softly gliding over his third eye's marking. "You don't have to beat your team to teach them how to do...whatever it is that you do."

Seal's Eye could feel himself start to get huffy and he knew he needed to calm down... then again, having the young girl lean up to kiss him on his cheek quickly managed to diffuse the elevating anger by its lonesome. The affectionate gesture caught him by surprise - really, it shouldn't have, all things considered - and his eyes softened at the touch.

"You're acting like we'll never see each other again..." He paused, giving her a sly look as he took hold of her hand, ".... dummy."

They were suddenly back at the park, standing next to the fountain they'd agreed to meet at. He was squeezing her hand, laughing softly. The Guardian was still barefoot, tanned feet stepping across the stoned path.

"There'll be plenty of time to see one another again - perhaps when it's daylight out and we're not soaked to the bone, hm?"

"It's not like that - " she tried to argue, flash backs to her fight with Bob fresh in her mind. That, of course, reminded her of the mistake she had made and how she had almost gotten herself and her guardian killed. "They won't show mercy and I have to be prepared for that." She didn't know why she was arguing or defending the brutal way training went, because it would likely only lead to another fight with another person who was too near and dear to her to risk.

"Don't worry about me too much, okay?"

She might have been naive about somethings, but she was learning and she was stronger for it, that she was certain of.

He had her hand in his again and she squeezed back, closing her eyes when she laughed. "Hey, that's my line." She wrinkled her nose at him, leaning back but unwilling to leave his space until he encouraged her to. "I just - I don't know how to find you if I'm not dreaming."

He grinned wider at seeing her laugh. He loved the sound of it, even moreso when it was him that had caused it. All in all, there wasn't anything that he didn't adore about his sweet friend... well, excluding the fact she was far from the ordinary sort of dreamer he was used to looking after.

It wasn't her fault the Negaverse corrupted her anymore than it was her fault being born destined for a life filled with magic and responsibility.

"Then I suppose we'll just have to make this a weekly rendezvous then." He said matter-of-factly as his other hand moved down to collect her free one. The blonde elf-man couldn't help it; her hands fit perfectly within his own and it simply felt right to have them there.

Looking down, he nodded his head, as if agreeing with his own words.

"And I'll start worrying when you stop dreaming. Deal?"

With both of her hands captured by his, she found herself staring at the way her hands fit in his. The feeling was familiar, like deja vu and when she looked up, she had taken another step forward so that her boots could touch his toes if she tried. Despite herself, she leaned forward, chin tipped up at him.

"Promise?" It was one thing to see him in erratic dreams, but another to have the prospect that she'd get to see him every week, in the flesh. "When?" She would have to make sure she didn't work when they were supposed to meet and that she didn't have plans with -

Right, her boyfriend.

Hydra took a step back, stretching their hands out between them. "Okay, that's a fair deal." A silly one, but one she was willing to agree to regardless. She couldn't imagine not dreaming if it meant she got to see him. "I should - It's probably time to go, huh?"

"Next week. Same day, same time. Same place, until we can think of one better?"

He shouldn't entertain this sort of thing, not if it resulted in the same sort of events that had transpired tonight. Seal's Eye knew better - keep it to dreams, keep it where it was safe and he could deflect easier with magic and the power of dreams. Out in the real world, there was no buffer to hide behind. It was simply him, exposed with his heart on his sleeve for all the world to see.

But... how could he resist?

Bringing both hands up, he took his time slowly kissing the back of one before moving on to the other. Chaste, sweet kisses to linger on her knuckles long after they'd parted ways.

"Until next time then, my Lady."

And with a soft exhale, he was gone - only because if he lingered any longer, he knew he'd never depart from her presence.

Her mind was processing the impossibility of it all, along with how badly the super senshi wanted these meetings. It had been one thing when she thought that maybe, just maybe, he was a figment of her imagination, but now? Now he was real and tangible and goddamnit Hydra didn't think that she could give up the possibility of getting to see him every week instead of sporadically.

"I - " Her words caught in her throat as he pressed his lips to the back of her knuckles, a gesture so familiar that it made her heart ache.

Then again, Seal's Eye did funny things to her heart in ways she wasn't quite sure she understood. "Seal--" She tried again, but he didn't give her a chance before she blinked and he was gone. Clutching her hands to her chest, Hydra closed her own eyes and focused on an area close to home so that she could get out of her soggy clothes and retire for the night, if her rapid-pulse heart calmed down.
