After collecting more salve, blankets, and water she returned to the task at hand. A new patient needed her to take of them. This time she had gotten several pouches full of herbs and other medicinal things that she could apply to areas of the sick leopardess.

 Damn damn damn! He had overslept! Rumors had spread around about the recent flu that had over taken the Rogue lands. In turn the sick had started to turn their focus on the Nil. Nalorakk saw it has a perfect opportunity to get his feet wet in the art of medicine, why still being under supervision of course. It had taken begging and a few well timed arguments but finally he had gotten permission from his parents to go flex his muscles for the first time - and he had almost blown it before he even got the chance! Worst. Luck. Ever! Unceremoniously Nalorakk threw his body out of the safety of the canopy to land with a oof onto the forest floor. Shoot that was probably a bit dramatic of an entrance, wasn't it? There were more than a few questioning glances being shot his way. Clearing his throat the young leopard rose to his feet. His face flushed a bright red as he quickly brushed himself clean of any stay leaves and twigs caught in his thick fur. There it was like nothing had even happened! Now the big question came to mind: What could he do to help? (( Current Total: 57 ))

Gekkota had done as she was told, and the doses of medicinal salve she had been told to distribute was gone, so she went to find Eryxa again. Most have accepted the medicine without too much fuss, but it must really taste foul... The faces they made! It made her curious, but it would probably be a bad idea to try it. Not when they had so many to treat! But perhaps later she'd ask if it would be safe to test how this concoction tasted... It felt a bit mean to give them something when she had no idea how icky it tasted.
"What do you need me to do now?" she asked, when she had located the older female. "Should I get more supplies?"(( Current Total: 48 ))

(( Current Total: 38 )) She had noticed the male first before Gekkota had come back. His loud vibrations were enough to disrupt everything else about the area. It was Alatheus that noted he was a young and eager youth who looked like he wanted to help. "Boy!" She called over before turning her attention to Gekkota who her companion informed her had returned. "Supplies would be good. Water if you can and any pelts to cover others. I need a few more herbs as well. Need to make a mixture that will be given to others who are better so they are able to not get this again." The female stated.

"Boy!" Letting out a surprised yelp Nalorakk spun around on his back paws to answer the address in his direction. Oh boy, that was Eryxa. She had a outstanding reputation as one of the field medics in the pride, not only that but has one of the few lions in the pride she certainly stood out. Taking a gulp of air his back straightened as he stood in front of her. "Y-yes ma'am?" He answered back nervously. His ears stood to attention as she listed off the laundry list of needed supplies. Once she was finished he gave a quick confirming nod of the head. "Right, water and blankets. Any specific herbs in mind that you need fetched, Miss Eryxa?" Pausing for a moment his gaze turned towards Gekkota before he spoke again. "Anything that I can get for you as well?" (( Current Total: 31 ))

 If Feuille was being perfectly honest with herself, she had very little idea what she was doing. She was just an Apprentice herself, for goodness sake! She looked frantically at the others who all seemed to be rushing about knowing exactly what they were doing. She envied them for this.
She had been called to help because it was an emergency, but she was having a hard time figuring out what she was supposed to do first.
"U-Uhm..." She said, her voice wavering as she approached one of the Healers who looked like they had a better notion of what to do than the others. "Wh-what should I be doing?" She inwardly scolded herself for sounding so petrified, but who could blame her? She wanted to become a Seeder after she got out of this apprenticeship, not a Healer!(( Current Total: 26 ))

"Hi Nalorakk," Gekkota said to the adolescent leopard, "We can go together."
There weren't that many young ones her age, so it was easy enough for her to remember their names. The nervous cheetah that had joined then was trickier. She wasn't sure she'd heard her name, and if she had she'd forgotten it. Oops! Eh, they could work together even if they weren't on a first name basis. Pelts, water, herbs... What would be the best way to do this?
"Why don't we split up," she suggested, "You can go get the herbs."
She pointed at Feuille. She would have loved to get the herbs herself, but water and pelts would be a heavier burden and she figured she and Nalorakk would be able to carry more.
"Just go to where the gardeners are gathering," she explained, "The herbalists are putting together bundles of useful herbs so you don't even have to know what you're looking for. They just gave me a bundle when I got there."
She turned to the leopard.
"If we go together we can load each other up on pelts and then run to get more filled gourds," she suggested, "Or I guess we could also do water first and then go load up on blankets, what do you think?"(( Current Total: 16))

A sigh of relief resounded from the young leopard when Gekkota greeted him. Right, they we're all relativelyyoung still and in their youth on a much more even playing field. They were after all all apprentices in arms still! Though he had seen the colorful cheetah around he couldn't quite recall her name off the top of his tongue like he could with the spotted lioness. Ah well, that's what introductions were for, we're they not? Who knows, perhaps this flue season would prove to be a good point to establish some working relationships outside of his own family! "Hey to you too, Gekkota. Looking forward to finally getting the chance to hang with you." He replied with a warm smile. He leaned back on his back legs as she made her suggestions, listening intently. He certainly wasn't going to argue against avoiding dealing with going into the thick of the gardener's area, even if it meant a more labor intensive job he still preferred it over a sneezing fit caused by his allergies flaring up! "I think that fetching the water would be more important but..." Lifting one of his front paws he tapped the bottom of his chin. "Oh! I know how to make a shoulder sling, we could use the blankets to carry the gourds back and get everything done all at once?" (( Current Total: 9))

(( Current Total: 0 )) Nalorakk and Gekkota were going to get some water and pelts, good. At least now she wouldn't call the little leopard boy anymore. The blind lioness was going to ask for his name but since Gekkota already knew, it made her job easier to just remember it. Then there was the other vibration, leopard female. Who was going to gather more herbs. The ingenuity of the younglings was nice to hear. That was the quick thinking a healer would need, especially when out on the field. Heck, it would be good for any situation. "Quick thinking Nalorakk. Alatheus can help any way he can as well." Eryxa smiled at the pair and guess that her vulture was giving her a death stare. "I will tend to this one a bit more, she seems like she will be ok with what I can offer right now." She mixed some more herbs with a bit of the water, creating a gooey mess, something lighter for her patient. "Oh and see about any food, something light!" She called back to them, mostly addressing the cheetah, whose name she would get at some point. Would be good for some of these medicines to be taken with a bit of a meal to ease problems with the stomach.

Chusi was happy to see a familiar face. She nodded back at her sister before continuing to hand out blankets with Bedisa. One of the patients she handed a blanket to was a tan colored with a sun touch mane. --  Godlumthakathi had started to feel better. He had gotten sick early on and had to watch the number of patents grow like a wild fire. For now, he decided that he would take it easy until he felt well enough to help get the other patients. “Thank you for your help,” he said generally to any of the volunteers who were in earshot. --  Vasuki woke up to find an absence of some of his siblings. He had heard about the outburst of the sickness and realized that his siblings might have caught the flu. Without a second thought, he darted from his den to where the patients were being held. On the way, he found himself uncharacteristically out of breath. When he finally arrived he looked around and saw two of his sisters. “Are you okay?” he asked Gekkota, approaching her first. She looked fine, he thought. Then he felt completely sick like the world was spinning around him. “I- I think I need to lay down.” (( Current Total: ))

"That would be totally cool!" Gekkota exclaimed, "We should do that. Can you show me how to do the sling too?"
However, they didn't get far enough to pick up any blankets until Vasuki met up with them, eyes looking a bit too shiny to be completely healthy. He looked a bit feverish and must have caught the flu going around. When she thought back to it he'd slept very heavily this morning when they all left to help out here.
"Yes, you should," she agreed when he started swaying. "Can you get back over there on your own?"
She wasn't sure if they should continue with their supply run or escort him to the rest of the patients.(( Current Total: -11))
