"You're not going to get drunk," Malkam teased, but kept his voice low too. He tried to look like he didn't care, but his attention was locked on Lawrence the entire time, right up until the guy left.
He relaxed some, puffing out a breath and leaning casually against the wall to cross his ankles.
"He doesn't like tacos anyway," he complained again, mostly to himself, and then, also to himself, "should have offered hot dogs."

"I don't think I want to drink." Mikael said, putting the drink down altogether. Feeling like it wasn't polite to leave his kind taco, he nibbled at one of the not-spicy wrap edges.
"Maybe we should go too?" he said, suddenly self conscious.

"Why? I haven't gotten a taco yet," Malkam said. "...Because your dad got cursed out?"
It wasn't his family, but if Lawrence was he'd have started a fight right there on the spot.
But Lawrence wasn't.
"I mean, yeah, it's up to you."

"He's your dad too." Mikael said, going from upset to irritated. "Will you just choose not to have me as a brother too one day?"
He was upset and he didn't know why, it felt like the commentary on Lawrence was somehow a commentary on him, though he'd never done anything like his dad had in terms of bad things.
Looking at the ground he said. "Get your stupid taco."

"I'm going to get you a stupid taco too. ...And it doesn't work that way. Of course you're my brother," Malkam said, not sure what he'd done wrong this time.
"I mean, he could have stayed, or whatever. He just pissed that lady off, because he's always-" he cut that short too. He brushed his hair back. "I don't want to argue, okay? You want beef or chicken?"

Mikael wanted to rant and rave at Malkam about how if you could just choose family you could just choose not to have them, how it meant calling him brother meant nothing, He didn't. Just shook his head and bit his lip.
"Whatever." he said.

Henry just sort of hovered nervously as Cami went to get milk and gave it to Mik, which was exactly what needed to be done, but since it wasn't his house... Lke everyone else, his attention snapped immediately to Caroline as she made a beeline to Lawrence, and he felt the atmosphere of the room dip a few degrees, and the tension rev up a bit. The silver lining to America showing up was that she had a way to sort of dispelling whatever awkwardness might have been lingering after the older hunter had been handed his hat. However, as her eyes turned in his direction and she flipped him the bird he any hope he might have had of possibly making a better impression this time around wilted, much like his posture. He stared at her for a long moment frowning, then just sighed and went back to making his tacos. When he was finished, he turned to those closest, Mikeal and Malkam. "Hi," he started, a little unsure if his interruption would be welcome or not. "You're Mikeal, right? I talked to you on twitter the other day." There was a very obvious and very puzzled frown on Liam's face as Caroline seemed to ignore him, but it faded as he realized where she was headed, and could easily guess why. For a moment or two he watched her as she confronted the other hunter, holding one of his tacos loosely, ready to cross the room to back her up if it were needed. But then his pocket buzzed, and Harper found him only a moment after that. He smiled at her in relief, the tension in his shoulders loosening significantly as he leaned in to lay a kiss on her cheek. "Hey, you made it." So had America, loudly, which was probably the only reason Liam noticed the lingering, appreciative look she gave him upon arrival. It had brows creasing, lips tugging down into a little frown.

Glenda was content to wait in her chair and indulge in the delightful food, certain a refreshing beverage would make itself available presently. As such, she calmly watched as Corona and Lime approached her fellow survivor. He was flanked by two rather uncomfortable looking younger versions of himself.
At her dismissal, her eyes widened slightly with interest.
"Oh, dear, what have you been up to, Lawrence?" She mumbled into her taco, a little amused. The tension was palpable - nothing like a good family feud to add a little spice to a gathering.
Maybe she'd been spending too much time on the beach after all.

Meanwhile, someone else was ambling up the drive. The tall, gangly youth almost bumped into the older blond hunter who was making an exit.
"Uh, 'scuze me, sorry -" he mumbled, slipping into the door. It smelled heavenly, and his stomach gurgled with anticipation. He didn't really quite recognize anybody - and, well, he hadn't much since he'd woken up on the island for a second time. But it looked like a lot of the small gathering were his age, and of course, there was free food.
"Hey y'all," Wash interjected with a friendly smile. "Looks like I'm late t' the party." He ran a hand through his hair unconsciously. There were, he noted, only a little doe eyed, some real lookers here. Also, if he was any judge of the sloshy bucket of green substance, free alcohol.
He took a deep breath through his nose and closed his eyes appreciatively. "Who cooked up all o' this?"

Having survived America's foray into amateur bartending Cami let the awkward moment pass and pounced on the first person to make any attempt at conversation. Wash was the lucky recipient of her flush-faced attention as the brunette again whirled on her heel to beam at him. "That'd be me!" She raised her hand. "America made that," she pointed to the margaritas, "Henry brought that," she pointed at the soda, "And uhm...well. Potluck! Lots of people brought lots of things. Everyone brought an appetite." Which pleased her to no end. Sometimes people were really nervous about trying new kinds of food and she had to admit that while tacos were a popular American thing (she'd had Taco Bell all of once in her short life) they weren't really the same thing everyone was used to. Looking around, anxiety returned from the friction of Lawrence's family, she couldn't help but smile when seeing her sister. "It's nice, right? All of us here like this, having a good time?"

"Being too friendly." Lawrence quipped to Glenda as he left, giving her a brief wink.
Glancing up at Henry Mikael gave him a smile, seeming to set aside his argument with Malkam to greet the other guy. "Hey! Yeah! Nice to meet you."
He glanced at Caroline, still obviously a little uncomfortable, as if he was going to be thrown out too. Lowering his voice a little he added. "People are a little scary."

"Same thought. Social and food. You know any of these people? Show me around. I'd walk around myself but feel like I'm gonna step on someone." He said, looking around.
"Oh s**t. They have koolaid here." He said, looking at the green jug.

Harper’s brow quirked some as she watched Caroline for a moment confronting another hunter, she would keep an eye out but for now she made her way over to Liam with a warm smile as he saw her. “Of course I wouldn’t miss free tacos and…” Just as the younger red head made her way through the room shooting a heavy flirting look to Liam causing Harper to raise her brow again before laughing. “Miss free tacos and drinks. In which I think I could use a margarita now that supplies has arrived.” Giving Liam a kiss on the cheek she grinned at him before picking up the taco on her plate and taking a bite.

"Yeah, most of them, to varying degrees." She grinned, shoving back the feeling of loss that came on the tail end of that statement. "And I think that's margarita mix, do you want one?" It actually didn't matter much if he did or didn't, because she did, so she gave him a pat on the arm as she momentarily excused herself. When she came back it was with a margarita in each hand, complete with little umbrellas. Neveas offered up to the big man, but whether he took it or not she'd start talking, using her own drink to gesture towards various faces in the crowd. "So the one that just left, short old guy with blonde hair and one hand, that's Lawrence. A.k.a. Jan. He's bad news. A real ******** creep. He's manipulative, sadistic, and I'd put money on him being a serial killer before Deus saved his a** from Wonder Park." Her lip curled in an unconscious little sneer before she took a drink, then tipped her cup towards Glenda. "Granny over there makes up the rest of our senior division. She's pretty cool though. I think she's in love with Dr. H, but he's not DTF. Her names Glenda, she was also picked up from Wonder Park." Next she'd point her umbrella towards the younger two milling about close to where Glenda was sitting. "These two I don't know well, the girl is in Sun with his. Her name is Harper, and she's dating that guy with her. Liam, I think. He wasn't exactly conscious when I met him. He's in Mist...Moon? I dunno, but they're both from the same group that Caroline-" She swung the ckass around to wave it towards the fiery redhead in question. "The one that just booted out Skeletor, was in charge of during that whole Creation zombie thing that went down in Canada." She looked up at him to make she he was still with her, then she'd continue on. "The two blondes that had been with the zodiac killer are Mikael and Malkam. They're his sons, but there's some drama surrounding that, unsurprisingly." Peyton snorted in derisive amusement. "T I don't know the kid with blue hair, he's new. Seen him on twitter though, Harry? Hank?" She squinted at him, frowned, then shrugged and moved on. Next we're the junior trainees.
