Reaching down, his glove lingered for a second as he watched sleepy eyes begin to close. He was quiet and careful as he tucked the blanket under her chin, brushing blonde curls aside for the umpteenth time as he smiled down at her.
It was dreamers like her that kept him loyal to his task. Innocent darlings who needed a Protector to watch after them, once they fell into their slumber. While the powerful beings that fought on the surface of the world had no interest for him, Seal's Eye would continue his path as Guardian of Dreams and see that no harm fell across those who remained pure of heart.
His hand returned to his chest and he gave a simple bow. It wasn't for show, but of respect - and then disappeared into the night, no doubt to return to his own shores of Elysion to continue his eternal task.
