When she leaned back and got comfortable he got up from the edge of the bed. He set the extra gauze, pain killers and her bottle of water on the night stand where she'd be able to reach them if she needed to. He left the spare shirt on the bed since there was plenty of room on the other side of her legs.
"There's no need to thank me. Get some sleep." He pulled the heavier comforter up over her feet, knowing the house got cold at night, before flipping off the lamp by the bed. "I'll be down the hall if you need anything."
He left the door cracked open as he left knowing she'd probably be out before he even made it back to his room.
