Alise didn't exactly believe in the easter bunny as much as she believed in... well... she believed in something else. Something that annoyed her mother when she talked about it. Signing up for the easter egg hunt hadn't entirely been her idea, as much as her mom's, but there was perhaps the allure of winning some sort of sweet prize to show off.

Or just candy to give a certain cat back home.

Wearing a frilly pink dress with a rabbit print at the bottom, matched with rabbit ear pumps, Alise wasn't really dressed to go egg hunting, but it had been the outfit her mother had forced her into, for picture taking purposes. Honestly, it wasn't as if she'd be allowed to wear jeans, anyways.

Checking her clue sheet, Alise decided to go check out the Founder's Statue.

--

Charice was also a little overly dressed for the event, in a mori kei-esque outfit, and flowers in her hair, but that was typical Charice. Some might argue that she was too old to be doing things like egg hunts, but Charice was never really one for being mature and doing adult things.

Picking up her wristband and clue sheet, Charice decided to check out the front gates

Kian Cappello - Sign In Table

Kian chuckled softly at the young lady's question while she was handing over her paperwork. A lot of people had asked similar things and part of him wondered if they missed the point of an egg hunt. Though the committee had expected children to be along as well so they couldn't make things too difficult.

"The eggs are about just under a foot tall so they're not too hard to spot." The volunteers who'd placed the eggs had worked hard to make sure they were hidden while also making sure participants of all ages would be able to find at least a good portion of the eggs.

Evren at the Front Gate

Evren blinked as she patted out the bunny themed lolita she was wearing. She then put a finger to her cheek wonder where she should start exactly. Blinking she tilted her head as she saw the girl with the crown on her head. Maybe she could use that as an inspiration for her next design.

Nicolae laughed as he sent the text off, then tilted his eyes up from his phone. It was a wonderful day, and honestly he hadn't done something like an egg hunt in years. He'd only really signed up because between class and hobbies he hadn't gotten much in the way of sunlight lately.

After a quick trot to the sign in sheet, he was prepared to join in; finding oversized eggs couldn't be too hard, right? He wandered toward the cafeteria, wondering if he could find a snack along with an egg!

Odelia 'Del' Chastain - Front Gate

Easter was hardly a... goth-y time. Yet, Del had done her utter best to cling to her goth roots as well as getting into the spirit of things. She'd managed to find a cute sundress in all black with little white bunny print and she'd even made herself a headband with black bunny ears surrounded by a flower crown of black roses. Oh yeah, she was totally rocking the goth life, she thought, grinning to herself as she accepted the wrist band.

After a few moments thought, she decided that she'd go hunting around the front gates. And if she couldn't find a egg there, well, she'd just look somewhere else. That was the whole point of an egg hunt, wasn't it? Holding onto her clue sheet, Del skipped (literally) to the gates and began to hunt.

------------------------------

Pippa Lowry - Cafeteria

Long hair pulled back in a ponytail, Pippa had opted to do her hunting in relative comfort, wearing jeans and a simple white blouse. Of course, it being Easter, she'd taken one of the flowers from her garden and pinned it to her hair. Taking both a clue sheet and wristband, she smiled her thanks and looked over the sheet for a moment. She'd try the cafeteria first. With a firm nod to herself, she strolled towards the building. If there was an egg there, it would be in the more public areas. The actual kitchen areas would be too dangerous for the little kids and nobody enjoyed a liability suit.

Liz Jenkins - Sign In Table ---> Heading to Front Gate

As she passed over the paperwork Liz grabbed a clue sheet for herself as she listened to Kian briefly describe what it was she was searching for. The teen committed the information to her memory before letting a volunteer place a participation band around her wrist. Raising it up to eye level Liz smiled before turning around to scan the people that were breaking off into smaller groups before remembering that she was still having a small conversation. Turning around to face Kian once more Liz made eye contact with the man before nodding. A quiet "thank you" was directed towards him before Liz grabbed her clue sheet once more from the table and proceeded to randomly choose her location that she would search.

Knowing that time was now of the essence the teen flew towards the Front Gates of DCU and began to poke around at the base of the gates. Knowing that the eggs were of a considerable size made her realize that they would have been too noticeable sitting on top of pillars. No, the egg would most likely be on the ground somewhere.

Kirra Morrow - the Front Gate

Kirra surreptitiously stuffed her pockets with free candy while she waited for her cousin Gigi to fill out the paperwork. While a part of her ten-year-old brain was desperately hoping to catch a glimpse of the Easter Bunny at work, the rest was focused on winning the contest. Wide red eyes followed the people who were already out hunting, watching for signs that an egg had been discovered. A treasure hunt required tactics. She hoped the prize was chocolate. Chocolate was the best prize.

By the time she had her wristband and clue sheet, she was practically hopping with excitement. And Gigi – Gigi was just moving too slow! Kirra tugged her cousin away from the sign-up table, pulling out her phone.

“We needta split up, so if you find one, call me so I can find it too, okay?”

“Uh-uh,” said Gigi, “That’s not how this works. We can stick together as a team, or you can find your eggs on your own.”

“Meeean.” Kirra pouted, but she was too excited to stay still long. It didn’t matter, she could still find all the eggs herself. “Well I’m just gonna check over there and be right back okay? Okay!”

And without giving Gigi a chance to answer, she ran back towards the big old gates they’d come in by. She’d seen them on the picture of Gigi’s school, so they had to be important. The Easter Bunny would definitely hide something right where everyone would walk straight past it!

Gigi Gennaro - the Cafeteria

On campus when she didn’t have a class, Gigi thought to herself. Why did she keep volunteering? But Destiny City was dangerous, and her cousin was cute, and it was sanctioned by the DCU board, so it was probably safe for once. She finished signing them both in, and let Kirra lead the way. And then completely ditch her, like a little brat!

With a sigh, Gigi waved to the departing bundle of energy. It wasn’t like she could get too lost. The campus was big, but she had her phone.

After a quick glance over the clue sheet, it was clear that it wasn’t going to be much help. Just off the top of her head, she could think of at least a couple of places that fit the first clue. But was she overthinking it? The clues had been written for kids, after all. Just because she knew the DCU campus didn’t mean she’d have an advantage.

Gigi headed for the cafeteria. Even if she couldn’t find an egg, maybe she could find a cup of coffee.

Elex Yorke: Cafeteria

An egg hunt seemed an unlikely spot for Elex to haunt, but he went regardless; at the heart of the town event presented several opportunities to see the influential parties in Destiny City as well as common threads among the city. The promise of a prize was motivating, and Elex wanted to see what came of it. His mother was more than pleased for such an occurrence and sent him off to attend with a pastel pink cardigan with a white strip of eggs nearing the bottom hem. It clashed with his khakis and red v-neck undershirt. He knew better than to argue, however.

After claiming his hint guide, Elex looked through the pages as he walked. The cafeteria sounded promising enough with few of the participants milling about the area, Elex diverted course accordingly. While the tables themselves were easy to scan by crouching, he wondered if the staff was clever enough to tape an egg up underneat them. That, he supposed, would leave the egg much more hidden.

As Elex sidled under another table, he spotted a pair of legs opposite him. The person was wearing jeans, luckily, so Elex wouldn't be called a pervert and slapped across the face in the midst of an egg hunt. He crawled back out and stood, dusting himself off. "Are you having any luck?" He asked the girl (Pippa).

Finch Woods - Founder's Statue

People were talking to them. That was Finch's first thought, and one that made them start slightly, all eyes and shyness as their red-silver eyes turned to the people addressing them. Luck? No... No, Finch wasn'thaving any luck, and they shook their head before realizing people might prefer a vocal answer for politeness' sake. Well okay, they could talk, but they were still ever so anxious.

"Nothing yet. I - I - I'm trying though." Finch said. Their tone was just loud enough to be heard, but soft and wavery, even shy. They were doing their best looking though -- for all their build and cute spring clothes, Finch was just fine digging in plants like any of the children, getting dirty and messy. "A-a-are you having luck?"

So many people. SO MANY.

Yolanda Hydrus - Front Gates

More people! Yolanda beamed, unlike some parties being torridly shy at the other location, Yolie was utterly delightrd to see more people joining the search at the front gates. More eyes meant more people looking and more odds of finding something right? Righht! The blonde beamed brightly, waving to the others, heedless of if she knew them or not as she practically bounced in place happily, dressed smartly in her new spring dress (From Uncle Vincent and aunt Felicia) and all but pranced - pranced to greet, pranced to look, and never once not giving the warmest, brightest smile possible from the ray of joy.

"Hi! Hello! Hey, any luck yet?" Yolie chirped. "I bet with so many people someone finds something! I hope it helps cheer them up, too!"

Was she being fake?....No, not really. Yolie wanted to find the egg, yes, but not if it hurt someone. She doubted it would, but she did want others to feel good too. She was just enjoying the hunt. Mostly.

...If there was chocolate, all bets were off.

Zacharie paused and glanced over his shoulder when he was addressed, his eyebrows furrowed in annoyance. He wasn't even that high up; what was the big deal? It didn't matter anyway because though he hadn't gotten much further than the statue's knees he could already tell that it would be a fruitless endeavor. The purple-haired boy gave a shrug, hindered in part by the fact that his arms were wrapped tightly around the bronze man, before sliding safely back to the ground. He was glad that he hadn't had to climb too high up...he wasn't always so good at getting down from things he'd climbed.

"I've never done a real egg hunt before..." He dusted his jeans off once he was on the ground. "Hiding it up high seems like the best hiding spot." It made sense to him at least and he was sure that Andre would agree. Once he was sure his pants didn't tear or acquire any stains, he hopped off the pedestal the statue was on to finally look at the woman directly. He didn't remember seeing her at the sign up table...but wasn't she a little old to be anything but a volunteer? In any case, she sounded like his grandmother when she was scolding him...and that wasn't a compliment. "You don't gotta nag." He grumbled, averting his gaze to the ground with a soft huff.

Arias had arrived with Nick and Carlee after a good morning and a better lunch. While Arias himself wasn’t feeling particularly competitive, he was easily goaded into participation. They’d talked about it earlier, that splitting up seemed like the most reasonable option for all of them if they wanted to win.

And, they wanted to win, so that was reason enough for him to take it as a good suggestion, even if he’d have rather spent the time with them.

Still, it was a nice enough day so he didn’t mind being outside; he waved to the two of them as they split up. The campus was familiar to him so he made his way to the Founder’s Statue, just out of habit. He kept his phone in his hand, checking it every other minute to see if either of the other two had texted him.

Deciding that it was unlikely that the organizers of the event would put the eggs out of reach for children, Andre turned his attention to the base of the structure instead. He had dressed for the chance that he might have to get onto the ground to search for eggs...but that didn't mean that he particularly wanted to do so and so he moved to check around the various shrubs, pushing aside branches to peer into their depths.

He wondered if Zacharie was having any luck. There were a lot of people in attendance...he hoped none of the other participants were giving his little brother a hard time. Glancing out of the corner of his eye he watched as more and more people approached the gate in hopes of finding an egg. If he had known that it would get so crowded, he would have just planned an Easter egg hunt on their own estate for Zacharie to do.

((Okay...NOW I'm leaving for work.))

Chailee Sterling - Founder's Statue

Chailee beamed at the woman who turned around to face her. For a second it seemed that she had expected someone else. Perhaps Chailee had struck a familiar chord? For a moment a spike of anxiety spread in the teens gut. There was always that worry that she'd run into more people who couldn't remember; people who she had a history with and had cared for. But, the woman's reaction quickly changed and a sudden wash of relief crashed over the bluenette. "No I haven't seen anything yet." She glanced up at the statue carefully, checking to see if maybe it had been hidden somewhere on it, but nothing stuck out. Plus that would be a bit obvious.

"I bet if it's around here it's hidden in some brush or something." Immediately Chailee began to check some nearby brush and tall grass. The place was, for the most part, immaculate with it's landscaping, but there were still places to look. Places that hid in shadow or nooks along tree or...the base of the statue? Chailee began to pluck around any tall grass against the statue base.

Another person who was also looking chimed in and Chailee looked up from her crouched position on the ground. "Yea, I am sure there are lots of places we haven't even looked yet. I mean, I am not expecting to find the first egg but...it would be fun if I did! I love the colors for Easter Eggs!" She pressed on the ground at the statue base to see if perhaps there were any divets or holes the egg could be masked in amongst the grass.

"OH! I am Chailee Sterling by the way!" She said, to the growing group after realizing she hadn't introduced herself.

Terry Hyatt ~ Founder Statue

While he might not have joined the egg hunt on his own normally, Terry had wanted to let Seung get the chance to experience one so he joined up with his fiance even if he was still a bit tender from the battle against the Greater Youma. It also helped that his Mother figured it was a safe enough activity so she didn't disapprove of them leaving the house for anything other then school and work. When it came time to go hunting for the eggs he looked over at Seung and gave a smile. "Ready to go egg hunting?" He asked before taking the older man's hand and leading him off to one of the three options the clue lead to.

Once they were at the statue, Terry first looked up at the bronze figure, having never really paid much attention to it before. "It's certainly an impressive statue." That said he started to look around the area to see if there were any hidden eggs, noticing a few other people looking as well.

Gweneth Malley - Cafeteria

At first the cafeteria remained mostly empty. Only a scant few of them had opted for the location to search. Gwen didn't really blame anyone. Looking for an egg in a kitchen certainly wasn't going to be easiest thing considering the amount of places it could be hidden. Plus there was the fact it wasn't really a 'traditional' location. Most Egg hunts tended to occur outside unless there was inclement weather. As time continued on though, and Gwen began her search, more people began to mill into the location.

Normally, Gwen wouldn't find herself much interested in locating an egg, especially at an event that catered to kids, but she also had a competitive side. So, as more people arrived, she found the need to look a little more intensely and thoroughly. It started with the corners of the room before expanding to under the tables. Eventually she began to check out the restaurant areas where one would go to order their food. She glanced inside of silverware holders, behind piles of trays, and even inside of drink coolers. She actually stopped at one and brushed aside the first row of drink in her search (of course she's replace them when she was finished).

"Anyone find anything?" She said, glancing over her shoulder to the individuals and groups forming.

Dammit Gwen, stop being a child. It's only an egg after all. She chided herself for her actions. You should be using this time to get to know a few people. Or, perhaps help out the kids who are playing? That would make more sense.
