“Safe? It isn’t safe for us up here Cantil! The only safe place is the sewers!” Eva insisted. It was only a matter of time before one of them got hurt, killed or worse. Sometimes when Morlocks went to the surface they were never heard from again. Not that she trusted these people either. Sure, they were mutants like her and Cantil, but they didn’t have the visible mutations like they did. They didn’t understand just how much they were hated by the humans for their green skin. Sometimes even the surface mutates couldn’t stop staring. She didn’t know if it would be intentional or not, but what she did know was hanging out with the surface mutates would result in one of them getting hurt. Hell, one of them was drunk and another group was causing some kind of ruckus she wanted nothing to do with. "Even with your…..friends, it isn’t very hard for someone to walk up with a gun. Put some clothes on, we need to get back.” She told Cantil while more or less ignoring Marcel.

"The one and only!" Izzy said when his name was mentioned. Purple punk band asked he could vouch for Sir Kilts-a-lot. She even offered friendship to Casper the friendly nerd. Oh he enjoyed nicknames. "Well if he knows Gwen then yea plus I heard we had a Scottish new face. Oh I'll reply to Gwen then!" He said before yanking out his phone and texting as fast as the processer in the phone could handle.
Marcel is washing the stray. We found two morlocks today! Kilt boy might have recruited a few. Think we can share the cookies?
It took little time to send it off. With him texting was just as fast as talking.
Leo jumped a bot when Izzy appeared. He really should be use the the guys speed by now. Though they hardly knew each other. Leo had healed Izzy's knee when he took a bad landing once but that was the most interaction. They where both regulars here. The purple haired girl mention if they where friends they would be a good match. "Are you offering it" He asked. 'If so I wll need your name."

╔══════════════════════════════════════╗ Salym couldn't believe this. So many mutants in one spot and they weren't hiding their gifts. She looked at Leo then heard a familiar voice. "Oh no" she whispered, "If we are going we need to get out of here. One of the Morlock mother hens is here. I may not be important to many but I would rather not get chewed out." she then looked at Leo once more. "My name is Salym. And just look for the chick with purple hair when you wanna find me. OR follow the trail of sick people." she told him before going to the dude who could move quickly. She pulled her gloves from her pocket and sighed. "I suppose you move a little quicker then a motorcycle? Let's see just how fast you go" she explained as she put her gloves on then held her hand out. ╚══════════════════════════════════════╝

Joseph nodded a little. "Alright. And Izzy, everyone is in the back?" He walked to the back of the chapel. Looking around till he spotted two mutants who obviously didn't look like they fit in and a few others. Walking up to the group he looked at them all. "Which one of you is Marcel? Gwen is worried because a text wasn't answered." He looked to others. "Joseph, Joseph Grundstok." He extended his hand to the woman, Eva, first. "More than welcome to join us for a bonfire tonight."

"Well, unless you want a snapped neck, were going piggyback." Izzy turned his back to the girl indicating to have her hang on. Once she agreed to climb aboard he told her to tuck her head. He was careful to avoid skin as he guessed that was bad seeing as she wore gloves in summer. "Next stop the best home, keep your head arms and legs tucked in for the duration of the ride, otherwise you lose them." once she was prep off he sped to the Brotherhood home. [Exit]
Looking at the church, it didn't look like much, it looked like one of those hide outs people would use when they were in trouble and during the current day and age it was perfect for mutants and problem people alike. "How long have I been coming here for?" Chae whispered to herself. She had traveled from Korea to New York in hopes of finding the institute for gifted youngsters but so far all she could find was this place. Chae had been working to make any money to survive, the last of her parents money being sent to America but with her current situation, she didn't have any real choice in the work she could do, luckily however, she had great looks and people took an interest in her for modelling shoots. They all started out small but she was thankful to get them, it meant she wouldn't go days without food anymore.
Shaking her head, she quickly walked to the door and peered her head through, looking to see if anyone was around. She had seen many people come and go from here but she never followed them, she only ever walked in and sat next to the wall, a small blanket always near the spot that she would use when she wanted to sleep leaning against the wall. "I need to find this place, sleeping on the floor is giving me back pain like you wouldn't believe" she whispered, trying not to make to much noise. "I wish someone would save me from this... Its getting a little hard now..." she said, wiping a small tear from her eye as she closed her eyes. It didn't have to be someone from the institute, she just wanted someone to give her a home, a place she could call her own instead of waiting for another horrid night to pass.
Leo was working late today. He didnt mind by any means, he wanted to help. They had beef stew tonight for the people staying for dinner. He spotted an asian girl he hadn't seen here before. She seemed to have taken up camp by a wall. He carefully brought her some of the stew. "Hey, uh... I brought you some soup.....it um...beef stew." Leo said awkwardly. It was ovious he was not very socially adept. He usully looked either worried or scared but he was neither he just had issues with conversations. He was getting better though. He did approach her without prompting. "The pew is more comfy....the front are the softest but uh....most dont like going that far in the chapel..." He offered. The wall had to be uncomfy.
Eyes opening up quickly as she heard the males words, she stood up immediately, her delicate frame steadily balancing. Bowing as she took the stew with both hands before softly replying "Kamsa-hamnida... uh I mean thank you" After living a year in New York, it was hard to tell that she from another country aside from her obvious appearance of being of Asian ethnicity. As he offered her a better seat, she kindly shook her head, a soft smile passing her lips. "I don't belong here, I just came for shelter. I don't deserve the seat" she ushered, a hint of sincerity present in her tone. "Are you okay? Is there anyway I can repay you for the food?" she spoke, her eyes shifting to look at his, tilting slightly to let her hair fall to frame her face. 'What a kind guy...'
Leo smirked. "The food is free and so is the pews for sleeping. They're working on revamping a room or two to offer beds." He said a bit more confident. It did help when the other person could relate to his anxity. "Theres no need to repay me. I use to practicly live here so now that i got a new home I volunteer here." He said to be fair he even volunteered he healing power too but people just wanted to repay him and it was impolite not to accept. Hopefully he could convince her it was ok get help for free.
