This guy sure did stumble over himself a lot. Deimos just stared blankly up at him while Mahmud worked out what he was trying to say. Part of him was no longer interested, but another part as more focused on this being a friend of Polair's - suddenly leaving would be rude, which might get back to her. "You build stuff?" Now that piqued his interest. Both brows raised slightly as his eyes widened just slightly. Could he build a ship? A real one??
"Like starships?" He tilted his head slightly, but before he could ask further, Mahmud invited him back over to the ring toss. "Oh, okay. Sure." He followed the other kid over and waited for him to have his turn, then tossed his three... his missed, all three times. Wow. After he'd done so well! He'd blame it on thinking about space travel more than aiming. "Oh, right. I forget that stuff. I'm Deimos, he-him. Are you gonna build ships for the military?" Rather than focus on that poor display of accuracy, he went straight back to questioning. "I bet they'll prolly do it the fastest. Go up there, I mean. They got all the funding 'n stuff."
Jumping on a trampoline was fun stuff, Psykgi determined, as she returned to the booth to give it another go. Fun stuff... but it hadn't always been. Not so long ago, she'd disliked bouncing around like this. Now, however...
"Woohoo!" she declared, more or less to herself. Was that the little yellowblood from the boardwalk she saw running from the booth? Maybe - or maybe not. There sure were a lot of trolls around.
Actually, as she stopped bouncing around for the night, she realized that the seadweller was familiar in other ways... the tower! Oh, yes, that was right - with the large ursine lusus!
Civisect all the way. she thought to herself with great pride.
Ah, yes, the ring toss. To start, Psykgi took a shot at one of the far rings, glancing over at the pegs nearby and the two kids by it - the tealblood and some orangeblood.
She grinned as she succeeded in getting a peg - excellent.
This time, though, she went for the safer pegs, figuring that that would be a better idea. A strategic idea.... maybe. A miss and a lesser scoring hit convinced her otherwise. It had been a poor idea.
Ah, the game. Psykgi gave it a roll, but wasn't impressed with the numbers, or with the stars she got from it. Well, fine. Though, she did have her eye on one of the more expensive pieces of merchandise... hmm...
"Okay... thanks for letting me know" Deimos. Deimos Deimos Deimos. The name was unfamiliar, and thankfully far off from his former friend's name. Made things a little less awkward. No, what was awkward was Deimos' insistence of Military Spacecraft. "Not... exactly. How did he put this nicely, and put him down gently? "I guess more like an observatory? Or a space tower, like the ones back in Chittentown I helped build." Mahmud gave a small shrug and rubbed at his own arm again. "I like buildings more than I do vehicles... but I respect people who can build them."
Seeing Deimos mess up that badly... Mahmud felt both awful and relieved. Maybe the kid wasn't a cheat. But that means he was treating a kid badly for no damn reason. Now that was a douche move. "Hey... uh..." Gog, he owed this kid some sort of apology. With a sigh, Mahmud managed to eek out "Sorry for being weird." Nothing else, nothing more. No explanation this time. Last time he did that, he ended up gushing a bunch of feelings onto Hemera and that wasn't necessary. "I'm going to go jump on the trampoline. It was nice to meet you."
Tonight was even worse than the other night. For a boy who spent a lot of time flying around with Ommy, he sure couldn't jump high worth a damn! Maybe next time would be better. Maybe it was because he was distracted at the thought of apologizing...

Well the trampoline had been fun earlier- he wandered back over to it to try it out. This time he wasn't going to be caught off guard by the bounce! Except... this time there wasn't much of a bounce to begin with. Wow. Dei stared down at the trampoline with a look of utmost disappointment for a few moments before letting out a long sigh, then stepped off so the next person could have their turn. Was it gravity, or the trampoline? He should ask Polair if gravity stopped working as well sometimes.
The ring toss has been a total loss last time, but he figured he could get it right again. Maybe. He shuffled up to the activity area and squinted into the darkness, trying to see them a little better. Apparently he'd just gotten them all on the pegs last time out of sheer luck because once more, all three of his rings sailed right on by the pegs. Wow. How lame.

Kerras ran at the trampoline but tripped, fell, and landed on their face. For a moment it seemed like they might cry, but then they were on their feet and laughing.

At the last second, Kerras lost their nerve and paused at the base of the trampoline. They squatted down about halfway, and braced themselves. Then with a gentle hop, they landed on the trampoline. The fabric rebounded and they shot up into the atmosphere, yelling.

Lastly, Dei wandered back over to the boardgame to see if maybe this time he'd manage to get one of the special events. He rolled the dice, but only managed a measly 3. How lame... If he'd gotten a 4 he could've gotten a shooting star! At least he'd collected enough stars to turn in for a ticket. He did so, then decided to check out another booth.

Punkie grinned as she saw an old aquatience. She had not talked to Polair nearly as much as she felt she should have, but hey, both of their lives were probably busy. Lucky BloodFest was a great time to re-meet people and bond over. "Polair! How the ******** ******** are you?"
