Strengths:
✔ Immense Physical Strength : She could snap a full grown male ork in half as easily as she would snap a twig in half, stone walls would crumble in but a few mighty blows, even steel plate of a knight would not last long against her raw, unmetered brutality.
✔ Great Mental and Physical Fortitude : Arachne is no stranger to pain or fatigue whether it be of the body or soul, mind altering magics or drugs have little affect on her. Wounds that would cause a normal person to fall into shock, while still painful, would only further enrage her.
✔ Where ever Arachne travels she in never alone, hosts of spiders and/or spiderlings are naturally drawn to her dark aura. They obey her command almost without question.
✔ Like her lesser kin Syco can spin strings of webs, the difference though is that they're as strong as steels chains rather than some wispy strand of silk. Another racial features she shares with him diminutive cousins is a powerful venomous bite that could drop a bear in a matter of minutes.

Weaknesses:
✘ Cold/ Extreme Cold : Being such a large creature Arachne has to expend much energy to maintain an acceptable body temperature, being in a cold environment, or being targeted by a cold spell or ability, would force her to use up more energy, thus tiring her. Another disadvantage she suffers in extremely cold weather is that it causes her chitin to weaken, making brittle and easy to break, in some cases.
✘ Extreme Heat : Who isn't susceptible to being burned alive?
✘ Due to her considerable girth/size/weight Arachne is forced to be mindful of where she steps seeing as a wide variety of structures are not build to support her race. Most wooden bridges used by the humanoid races would actually break under her weight were she to set foot upon them, the floors of most multistory buildings would also founder in her direct presence.
✘ For some unfathomable reason Arachne refuses to fight a foe from afar, disdaining ranged weapons or attacks as tools of cowards, thus she is almost always at a disadvantage against people who use such attacks.
✘ While her sister, Hamahiki, is able to utilize magic, Arachne herself was born without this peculiar trait, instead she must rely near solely on her own physical and mental abilities.

Personality:
❖ Largely a product of the environment she'd grown up in Syco's mind of a fragmented mess after years of fighting for her survival, her sanity is beyond question. Greedier than the most avaricious dragon, crueler than the most depraved deamon, a lust for destruction and disorder greater than light of the brightest star or blackest pit consumes her. She knows not the meaning of, or the word, mercy, her idea of sparing someone is not to simply kill them where they stand, but rather torture them until they die. A hunger for power that may never now satisfaction drives her ever onward on her path of terror and madness. The only love she ever shows is for that of her sister who she holds dearly and would protect above all else, although there are times where even her sister knows the pain of wrath. She abhors people telling her, or forcing her, to do things, laws and rules are seen as constraints, chains that must be thrown off. All that is good, righteous, and just she spits upon preferring the freedom of being able to do whatever she pleases, when she pleases.

History:
❖ From the moment she was born Syco had to fight for life with fang and claw, her mother attempted to eat her, and her siblings, only a few moments out of the hatch. After that it was a mad dash across miles and miles of a nightmarish hellscape overflowing with slavering beasts, deadly flora, and weather that seemed to want nothing more than her demise. Every day she watched brothers and sisters be torn limb from limb, drained into withered husks, die of disease and infection, and others still in indescribable manners. Through it all though she made it, her instincts having lead her to a place where she knew she would be safe, a place where she grow, mature, and in time, become a formidable monster herself. Yet, fate would deal her a wild card in the from of Hamahiki, the runt of the litter, apparently she had survived the many trials and tribulations that had claimed so many others who'd been far stronger than her.

Syco could have done anything to Hama when she found her sibling hiding in a burrow just feet from the entrance of her own den, yet instead of draining her dry or simply killing her outright, Syco decided to take Hama in. Even to this day the arachne isn't sure why she spared her sister, perhaps she had sensed her dormant magic, perhaps she enjoyed having someone to order around... and keep company with. Regardless the two quickly forged an indestructible bond, a unfathomable trust that no other arachne had, a special gift that Syco planned to use. Over the years the elder sister worked with her sibling carve out a place for themselves within the hostile environment they called home, fighting off predators, rivals, and other far more terrifying things daily. Eventually they had forged a small empire, co-ruling over a small stretch of land where their authority was absolute, where their every need and desire was attended to, a place where they could feel safe. Yet, as the saying goes, familiarity breeds contempt, and the eldest soon grew tired of her newfound easy lifestyle.

A call she sent out, calling to her her hordes, her loyal minions, and other, more foul, depraved creatures, rallying an army she planned to use in a conquest of terror and destruction. At first they were content with simply raiding isolated farms, lonely villages, and the odd caravan, developing their tactics, determining their strengths and weaknesses, preparing themselves to tackle ever larger prey. To avoid suspicion and risk having a superior army brought down of their heads Syco has attempted to make the targets seem as random as possible and take long pauses between attacks. Now though, she has built her confidence, and army, enough to the point she is ready to take on her greatest challenge yet, the walled border cities of the faye kind. Will she succeed in her attack and grow ever more powerful, or will hubris bring her crashing down to a bitter and bloody end?

Outfits:
❖ The ends of each of her eight chitinous legs is capped with gold plated steel plate that are covered in intricate symbols, runes, and calligraphy.
❖ Most of her human body is shod in a protective layer of gold plated steel armor.
❖Two large blade like pieces that are attached to the back of her armor that spread upwards and outwards.

❖ A scepter she took as loot after destroying a small castle, she uses both as a symbol of her authority and as a cudgel, using her natural strength to send crashing through the air to sunder armor, flesh, and bone.

Rank A // Size: Horse or larger.
Brood Mother (x1) - A spider who's sole purpose is to lay eggs. Has a weak carapace but is still incredibly strong and have a potent venom.

Brood Lord (x2) - An exceptionally large and heavily armored spider who serves both as a bodyguard and a front line "tank", they are among the strongest of spiderling species with a strength comparable to that of a grizzly bear. While they do not have a venomous bit their fangs are capable of piercing plate mail.

Rank B // Size: Standard Humanoid
Synapse Spiderling (x1) - A specially evolved spiderling who can exert its will, and by that I mean Syco's, over other creatures or spiderlings by force of mind. It is rather weak and has almost no carapace, it often operates in a safe hiding place, helping to direct the horde from afar, killing one of these can devastate large groups of spiderlings as the psychic backlash can be fatal.

Skirmishers (x6) - Fast, agile, and packing a nasty paralysis venom, skirmishers take down targets by simply over whelming them with their numbers, they aren't particularly strong and their carapace offers only moderate protection.

Scouts (x2) - The eyes and ears of a spiderling swarm these pathetic creatures have no stomach for a fight and will run at the first sign of danger but they should not be ignored. If allowed to return to their horde or enter within range of a synapse spiderling their intel will ensure that a response is swiftly and effectively mounted. They have very little strength and no venomous bite or carapce, they rely entirely on their quick, erratic maneuvers to escape danger.

Flame Touch: By focusing her affinity into a single touch, Mauve is able to cause excruciating pain in another by turning the victim's response to injury against them. She can inflame an area on another's body by focusing heat on a singular region, making the white blood cells of another do their work, but infuse a small amount of her fire underneath the skin so that any attempt to heal will be met with unbearable pain. {1 post duration, 4 post cooldown. Effects also last for 1 post. Must have physical contact with another to use}

Protection of the Kitsune:
This ability calls for Mauve to put a protective fire shield around her knight to increase durability against normal attacks, proximity, other fire abilities, and fire in general. It is simple in execution, allowing her knight to forcefully power through another afraid to be singed by the flames, and in the latter stages of duration can deflect simple arrows and some weapon swings. If she uses it too many times in succession, however, her knight will feel the heat of her fire and have a very uncomfortable time. {2 post duration, 3 post cooldown}

Insight: This ability allows Mauve to control the forces of fire and manipulate it using her mana output. By concentrating on an outside force of flame, she can manipulate it into dying out or turning into a spout. She cannot manipulate it further, however, and must rely on common denominators like trees or flammable material, to cause damage on the victim. {1 post duration, 1 post cooldown}

Aura of Fire: Mauve, quite simply, can coat herself in an aura of fire to increase damage output if touched or stood next to. Her fire spells can be more easily pulled from the flames surrounding her, going from charging for a small fireball to a geyser that can engulf a large boulder, as well as her ability to take a punch. This is not caused by enhancing her muscles or endurance in any way, but rather the fact she is literally surrounded in flames and if one were to touch her they would feel the heat quite effectively and swiftly. It is not wise to lay a finger on her, or even be by her side for long, when in this form as it is like standing close to a roaring fire. However, she cannot stay in this form for long as her mana is burned away extremely fast and her own body turns against her abilities by causing extreme pain throughout her veins and system. {3 post duration// 2 post cooldown. Every use after the first time in one fight will cause her body to slowly disintegrate from the inside out. While fire surrounds her body, she can barely move because of her PTSD, thus she chooses to stand in one spot to fire off attacks, but it also makes herself an easy target.}

Flame Control: An ability as simple as exuding mana and fire into one to attack, this allows Mauve to control her affinity and use it in combat effectively. It gives the girl control that can range anywhere from a small fireball that can burn flesh to a large gush of flame that can burn away a large boulder. It is more of a stationary Aura of Flame. {1 post duration, 1 post cooldown. When shooting smaller things off, she can fire up to five shots at a target per post. However if she were shooting something as strong as boulder melting spouts of flame, she can only do one definite stream of energy before needing to recharge for a post}

Tighten: Mauve places two fingers, her index and middle, into the air before her after touching her chest to create a new black orb. This orb is more ethereal than the others, and its brightness and intensity, along with her eyes that burn. At the apex of this brightness, Mauve will rev her arm back and swing her hand. The sphere that she has created will suddenly move quickly toward an opponent, releasing from the weapon a powerful dark beam which can be fired one after the other. If this attack is deflected, or dodged but with the target still being in a five foot radius of the blast, the attack will siphon 2% of the enemies mana. With each direct attack/block the amount siphoned will bump up to 7%, and with each consecutive hit, that is not broken, the amount will continue to grow until eventually the target has no mana output to fight or in the four posts it takes the sphere to disappear. She can also adapt this ability for closer range combat, but it still works the same with her having to send her sphere to swing an arc toward the target. It is deadly when used, and connected, at close range as the amount siphoned is a whopping 15% on impact. {3 post duration with continuous shots fired. (The sphere has its own mana pool that Mauve has given up her own to fill and thus will shrink upon executing each attack until it is no more. Cooldown is 4 posts. If used constantly Mauve will weaken herself faster than the siphoning can work on an opponent because of the splitting of her own mana into the sphere's 'pool'. Through this, while she can use it constantly, she never does because of her own burn out}

Orbs of Chaos: A laughable name, to say the least. Since a young age, especially after releasing her gates for the first time, Mauve has had the ability to pull from the aether of mana and compact the dense natural phenomena into spheres. These spheres, while they usually float about her body, arm, and hand, are harmless unless provoked. They have enough dense material that they can block incoming attacks, usually energy based though they have some skill in blocking weapons- barely-, and they also offer Mauve with some form of long ranged attack as well. If they are used to block an attack, the mana that comprises the orbs will grow in fury and thus shoot back the same force at the target with accumulated energy of pure mana. This means if someone were to be swinging their blade and it would normally cut down a tree, the spheres can sustain the blow before shooting out an attack that can cut down two trees. The speed of the initial attack is the same, so the spheres cannot move faster or leave Mauve's body when shooting back the attack. She can also use these orbs to float, if they are below her, and they can be used as a useful set of hands. They cannot pick things up, but they can push something onto a set of other orbs to float it over to her. There are 5 orbs that surround her though they can split, if they take less and dish out less damage, into 10 to increase attack radius or surface impact. {Takes one post to recharge them for use again after being destroyed. With every reformation of these spheres by pulling mana from the aether, it will take a heavy toll on Mauve. Because she is mostly pulling it from her own body and mana pool, not just from the world, with every new sphere she creates will leave her body creating what appears to be hard marble around her limbs. It starts in the digits of her fingers and toes before traveling up to her hands, arms and eventually reaches her head. These marble appendages cannot be healed or treated until after Mauve has stopped expending mana and she rests for a few days. It should also be noted that while the marble isn't insanely easy to cut, it is still slightly pliable. Likewise, if the marble has traveled up Mauve's arm and her hand is cut off, she will not be able to heal it via another mage until she has stopped using her mana pool and rests for a few days. In those few days, the marble will dissipate, leaving room for healing spells. This also causes mobility issues along with difficulty to breathe}

Bow to Chaos: Used in conjunction with her spheres, these do not cut or cause any type of damage and instead they simply add an increased weight effect on the target. At first the victim won't feel anything, a simple weight discrepancy as the spheres begin to latch onto the body of the enemy, but as time continues and they begin to use more and more of their abilities and mana to use those abilities, the spheres will greedily take more and more. This allows Mauve or her knight to appear to be moving faster than the opponent when it is simply them getting slower as more weight and density grows on their shoulders and throughout their body. A tell of this ability is that a good portion of her spheres that are always surrounding her have suddenly vanished. (They usually latch onto someone's back so they need an ally there to warn them of the siphoning.) If an opponent changes their mana output, or continues to gain more of it somehow, the spheres will simply accumulate again to siphon more energy out of the mana pool. It only effects knights in conjunction with their magus union abilities or abilities gained by a pact with a mage. This ability is predominantly for mages. {Constant as long as Mauve has at least 3 spheres at her will to siphon the energy. Each post will cause the density to be increased by 2.5%. At each interval of 10%, four posts, the weight will cause certain effects to cripple the body such as moving slower to increased heart rate which could cause a heart to explode and so on. Someone of higher mana pools like mages will not feel this effect until much higher in the siphoning, as their energy is abundant, and one of lower mana would realize quickly due to their miniscule amounts. If the victim is a mage and they use any ability on or over Rank B, the percentage jumps up to 5% even. If they are discovered it is quite easy to rip them off of the body. They are simply usually positioned at awkward angles to combat this, but with the help of another they are easy to pull off}

Rank A// Gate 1:

Devil's Storm: One of Mauve's strongest abilities, but can only be used every other day, this coalesces into a freak storm made out of pure mana and fire. The fire is so hot it can melt steel and the range is so wide it can easily cause a forest fire or destroy a couple feet worth of buildings, and it takes such a toll on the girl that it leaves her close to death upon exerting such mana. If she were to unleash this, not even she can stop the flames if she were to somehow be healed or given an extra charge of mana, and more times than naught this ability will leave everything around her in ruins. {1 post duration, 1 day cooldown. While it can only last for 1 post if it were to catch other flammable surroundings on fire it will spread without stop unless a strong water affinity is close by. Mauve is near death after expending so much mana and thus needs a few hours to half a day to recover. It is good she will usually pass out after using this ability as, if she didn't, she would be so wrought by fear due to her PTSD that she cannot move, talk, or function}

Personality:
❖ Mauve is actually quite playful with her fellow knight and other individuals, and she can be seen making light hearted jokes or making sure everyone feels good. She's the true mother figure, hoping to bring smiles and happy feelings to all, and she's usually the one making a serious situation light. She rather enjoys messing about with the younger mages, pulling cheeks and acting strange, and she is more at home when around others who will play back; but also those who feign as if they despise her tactics. The woman is also very warm to any and all and many find it easy to come and talk with her about most things as Mauve has an opened mind about everything. She enjoys parting wisdom on others and though she still throws in ridiculous jokes and banter, her words ring true.

In lieu of of motherly and kind attitude, that is not to say she is not hard working. The woman wills others to do their very best and if they are shone not to be, the homunculus becomes easily infuriated and will kick them back into shape. She hates lazy people, though the air around her says the exact same, and she requires everyone to show how diligent they can be when assigned a project no matter how small. This leads into her darker side if others do not heed her expectations of them, and it frankly can be terrifying. The happy, smiling face will change into that of chipper sadism and she is known to showing just how far she will go to get the best out of someone else.

Like many she has a secret side to her only her knight is privy to. She enjoys tempting others to follow her into a dark alley so that she may experiment on their innards, and it's more of a past time to take other's lives if she knew she would not be punished for it by her knight or the law. Speaking of such, the law is laughable to the girl and she would much rather follow her own ways, rather than those ordained by society. She would never kill or harm a child, but has morally freed herself from many other beings- mostly men who are unfaithful or women who need to be humbled. She has taken an oath to never harm her knight, unless asked, and she follows it to the letter. Others, however, are obviously fair game.

History:
❖ If the word "pain" would have been the first thing to be seen at the beginning, it would be a bit melodramatic. But that wouldn't stop the legitimacy of that word when it was allocated to Mauve's birth. She doesn't remember that time, how could she she was just an infant, but ever since her cognitive thought developed, that word was the only thing on her lips. She remembers being given bits of clothing to cover herself at a young age, though her midriff was always visible for that was where her number was placed. There were others, at the time, that had the same level of numbers on them in various different spots on their bodies. For a time, Mauve didn't know what they meant, but it was all too clear after she had finally learned something other than the searing in her legs. Regardless of their rankings, the children continued to train and grow. It wasn't fast, hell for a time she had no real care for whatever happened to her, and she lived in her cage like a good girl. No ticket, no direction, just pain.

The seven other children grew differently than Mauve did, the Monster giving them otherworldly objectives to complete. The girl grew to crave what some of the others received, affection and love, but that want for trivial things subsided when the rest of the pain came. She would ace every test the Monster gave and yet still she was forced to allow him to carve away her flesh with scalpel and fire. She couldn't do what the others did, not to that extent anyways, and while she possessed massive levels of mana, she lacked the will to control it into the physical manifestation of power as the other children had unlocked. She was weaker than the others when they placed the expelled their abilities, however she learned quickly that when she unlocked what she now refers to as "gates" and lost herself over to that power, she could at least stand a chance. The aftereffects of this were thrilling! While it gained her freedom for a day of that pain, she succumbed to fits of body disintegration from expelling too much mana at once. Her power came at a cost and she always loved to pay it.

Soon after the accumulation of their powers, the Monster decided the eight experiments had yielded their use. Mauve was locked in her crate as usual, her head upon her arms as they rested on her raised knees, the child becoming disinterested in the waiting and only wanting the blood, but she heard the sound quite clearly through the opened cage that peaked her interest. She had looked over to the crate beside hers, wide eyed and calculative at what could possibly be going on as it wasn't the time for spars, and when she looked into green orbs she realized what was going on. Getting to a crouch, the only thing one could do inside of the small cell, she fumbled her way over to the door. She had no idea what she was going to do once she got to that position, however, as they had never been proven to be able to get the doors opened for the past countless years. A thump scared her, of all things, and when her red orbs traveled upward from the slow trickle of blood now entering her cell, she saw Three lying dead on the ground. Mauve had bit her lip, knowing a scream would only entice the Monster to continue faster, and she turned her steely gaze up to those dark eyes.

It was all a blur after that, she's not a least bit sad to say. One moment a hand was reaching into her cage to grab and probably kill her, and the next an onslaught of her fellow experiments were rushing the Monster from behind. It didn't do any good, she blurrily remembers. They were all slaughtered easily enough before the sword raced across her own throat. But it was alright, she remembers thinking as she lied in a pool of her own blood. At least she was finally free...


The kindness of strangers is a strange thing. While her death was still fuzzy to her, her second rebirth into that world was not. She was found almost dead, surrounded by the bodies of what she laughingly called her friends, and it appeared as if the Monster had not finished the job of getting rid of them before he was disturbed. That was the only reason the lifeless corpses could be discovered by an older woman, her eyes gentle and unafraid as she stared down into the small pit on the edge of Carmillion. The girl was saved by this woman, living in the crime populated melting-pot yet not being warped by it, and soon Mauve knew what it was like to not have her flesh ripped off by scalpels and fire. At first it was strange, the kindness of the woman, and Mauve revolted as one would when they didn't understand the happiness that was supposed to swim through life. Eventually... slowly, Mauve calmed.

After what seemed like years Mauve began speaking again. It was strange to learn the language other than screams, and though she had undoubtedly carried such knowledge over from the earlier days of birth, it was quickly beaten out of her. The woman helped the girl learn, and in exchange Mauve protected the elder from any type of assault by the criminals of the area. It was rather easy seeing as she had literally breathed battle magic, but there was no malice in what she did when she got the screams and blood quickly enough. If anything, she longed to have what her friends' had: to die. Such a thought was only subsided by the brief encounters the woman gave her, and for a time it was what kept her alive and... happy. She was more than willing to die for this woman, she found after a time and the girl actually caught herself smiling.

Of course that all stopped when she had gone out to get a few groceries that were available at what was hilariously called the market. Mauve's reputation around that district was somewhat known seeing as she seemed like a small child that exuded the force of a paired mage and most knew not to mess around with her or what she called hers. That was the second time, the first if she really thinks about it, that she lost someone close to her again. Upon getting back to their home, Mauve found the door ajar and her home barren of any goods or merchandise. She saw grimy feet, appendages never having known the comfort of sandals, laying still on the ground as the body was hidden behind an overturned table. How strange it was to see blood again, to see a throat cut so cleanly that it was left unhindered to bleed. How wrong it was to witness the moments of passing.

After giving the elder woman a burial of some kind, it wasn't long before Mauve found the ones responsible for the murder. It was over quickly, the girl at the time not holding any stock in longevity, and afterwards she excused herself out into the forest. Her solitude wasn't long lived, sadly enough, and soon she was visited by a knight. She had felt her unstable mana from afar, Mauve not having cared to even try to keep it in check after the elder died, and as she looked up into bright eyes she was suddenly reminded of her old, dead friends. She was broken, hurt and lonely, but the pitiful girl continued to gaze up into those eyes with fire in her own. She had learned of the pairing from the old woman, the latter always telling her to seek out a knight to get out of the slums, but she had always declined as she thought there'd be no reason to leave her. After Mauve had clasped ahold of that extended hand, unafraid to touch such filth as she was, that was when the girl's mind changed. Instead of being shunned for the marks that scarred her flesh, she was saved. The knight did not care of her accursed birth, nor did she care to learn her past at all, and soon Mauve found another home, though secret, for herself.


Outfits:
❖ Mauve wears soft cloth instead of armor, and not many areas with her skin showing. Her shoulders and neck is the only thing that can be seen while everything else is covered in white, black, or red clothing and bands. This outfit is fitted with flame retardant so that it cannot easily catch flame.


Items:
❖ Mauve has a very interesting way of leaching her mana from her own body, and from the bond her knight shares. Her red balloon that follows her everywhere is used to seal away an abundance of her mana so she cannot kill enemies too quickly, but it also helps hone and train a new level of control for herself and her knight. If it were to ever pop, only done by her knight, or simply be cut at the opening of the balloon, her mana will pool out back into her body and her knight's. (If this were to happen too fast, their bodies would be super charged for a short time before burning out entirely. Her knight knows of this, and still chooses to be at her side.)

❖ While her appearance is quite motherly and affectionate, always wanting to play around, when in combat she is practically no different. Natural Abilities:
❖ Shadow Platting | B+ | - With her body engaged in combat, Nerissa's body and armor can be infused with a shadow like scales that strengthens her form and any weapon that she comes into contact with. It lasts for around ten minutes before depleting or can be destroyed if damaged enough.
❖ Enhanced Agility | C+ Passive | - As it is said, her speed becomes naturally and unnaturally at the same time faster than usual. She'll swing faster, move quicker while unfortunately at the same time losing energy quicker. She's still learning to hone in this ability without trying to deplete it drastically in such a fashion that would make her fight blinded.

Magus Abilities:
❖ Focused Mind | Passive C | - In combat or out of it, Nerissa's mind can be calmed forcibly if needed and give her the time to hone in any of her abilities that take time to build. This however can be broken if she's attacked from the side or behind. The ability can last from up to say four to five posts before breaking off. After that, she'll have to wait five more posts to use it again.

Unison Abilities:
❖ Overcharged | A+ | - With the sharing of her mage's powers and the abilities they combine, Nerissa's mana can be completely restored by the mere pop of Mauve's balloon. Their are two methods or ways this ability can come into play.
A. The mana that they share will be slowly poured into one another without much delay nor having to worry so much of the consequences. It will take 3-4 posts for Nerissa to be fully restored but it will cause some stress to her body if she doesn't give herself time to let herself recover it.
B. All at once. This means that if the balloon is suddenly popped, a tilde wave of mana will come at once into her body and charge her up so fast that she feels like her mind will explode. It can become fatal for the dullahan if she has lost the majority of her mana before it starts to regenerate.

Personality:
❖ Nerissa has that more protective and selfish mind when she's close to her friend: Mauve. She'll express it in ways that might show a tendency to clinging too much. The woman will even show less mercy to those who try to stand between them both. She is undeniably a fighter for great causes and will always try to strive for her right to live. That's yet a flaw of hers as well. She tries too hard to push herself and it usually ends up with her becoming angry or annoyed, when things have not gone the way she planned it to. People fear her due to the pose she tends to show. That whole having the ability to separate her head from her body does give the woman an intimidating feature for which she shows in all true colours. She's still trying to invite a humorous side into her life but it becomes rather difficult for her. It's probably why she relies on her friend more to make the jokes while she stands there with a dull expression.

Given all these attributes that make up for her persona, Nerissa still is opening more emotions in her life. Some that show loneliness while others feeling slightly out of place.

History:
❖ From the beginning, before Nerissa became a dullahan, she was merely a simple human being with a life quite uninviting to others . She was raised in harsh conditions where her precious body was used as a tool for war. She could remember every single detail of her mortal life that is just a shivering thing to think on.

During her time in her teenage years, she was sent out into dangerous territories as an assassin. Her objective was to find a target on her list. Apparently he had been apart of her master's group and went rogue right after stealing a good sum of gold from them. Nerissa didn't really have the option to refuse this mission as her life was most certainly on the line. If she refused or even tried to escape, she'll be hunted down like a dog and strung up until the light will fade from her eyes. Hell, she'd be past around the camp and 'toyed' with silly if she made a mere mistake. It's just how life became for her. Anyway, as she came to the 'Snowy Mountains' located in one of the unknown regions, she was confronted not by one sluggish male but two. One of them was easily recognized to her eyes as her target and he had been alert of her present ever since. She fought with him with every strength she could fathom. However... things weren't going her way. It became a death sentence for her from the start which most indefinitely resulted in her death. He stabbed, punched and choked her out and she being so delirious and messed up, laughed in his face before the light from her eyes faded. The male that butchered her, severed her head and kicked it off to the side before fleeing from the scene and leaving her corpse to rot.

Skipping a few days after her death, the pitch of that girl's eyes had faded out. It would seem that her life was most definitely over but that wasn't the case. A creature, a necromancer came from the tree lines and stumbled upon her corpse. He studied, making his predication to the lifeless Nerissa with a little smile on his face. His desire to experiment on her before she becomes useless was strong. He took her body and her head to his cabin and began to restore the energy still lingering inside her. It took days, weeks before he finally brought her back from the grave. The channeling of his magic was but most definitely a feat for him to take. It even had repercussions to them both. One was his life expand and Nerissa not being human no more. She was something different, something that could not attach it's head to the body. Despite her being ever so thankful for him to bringing her back, a part of her felt so strange. It felt like she cannot sleep properly and her eating habits rather scarce. For her entire life, she's had to live this way.

After the passing of her savior, Nerissa has been traveling alone. Centuries with no one by her side for a time. It seemed lonely and for that she became desperate for comfort for another. This was why and how she stumbled upon her mage and friend Mauve. She found her alone, sadden by the passing of her mentor. Nerissa at first felt some disgust for the woman but seeing the same pain that the dullahan felt in her own, she gave a hand to her and accepted the contract to be created between them. Ever since, Nerissa has been protecting and serving under the mage's commands. Her dedication to keep her friend alive remains strong even despite the flaws that the two have shown to another on numerous of occasions.

Outfits:
❖ Nerissa's face is covered with an armored platted mouth piece that serves as protection for her face. Her body encased with specially designed armor with a cloak attached to the shoulders. At night, she's especially hard to see in this outfit which adds to her liking. It makes it easier to sneak up on unsuspecting prey.


Items:
❖ Nerissa has a little black pendent bounded to her chest that acts as a tracker for when she becomes separated from her body for some time. It will begin to resonate a shadow gas when she gets close enough to her body before ceasing it's gas after reunited.


Other:
❖ Despite Mauve's abilities being in unison with her own (specifically the overcharge), Nerissa refuses to leave her side. After all the things her friend has done for her, she cannot see herself travel alone without her by her side.

Strengths:
✔He has a lot of potential mana with him, so much that it seems impossible that he could live without knowing how to use magic.
✔Anti-Body Mana: His mana acts much like the white blood cells of the human body. Any mana that it sees as foreign, it will immediately attack and begin to break down, eating away at the "foreign" mana that it finds. This is due to his mana having come from a different world with its own laws in regards to mana. Essentially, this has two effects on the people around him. The first, anyone that tries to use mana instead uses his mana, as it has deteriorated all the other mana in the area, including the mana within people. Second, if the person does use his mana, they undergo severe physical and mental trauma. This trauma includes bleeding from various areas of the body, internal mana networks rupturing, and even the automatic failure of spells. Additionally, any spell that has already been activated can only last up to two posts when near him, as his mana will eat away at it completely within those two posts.

✔Solving mysteries is second nature to him. He can easily figure something out if given enough time to observe it from all angles.

Personality:
❖ From an outside perspective, Sōji is a rather bland person that does not have much interest in anything. With his apathetic eyes and generally blank expression, most people see him as a worthless, no-good slacker that does care to physically exert himself. This, for the most part, is actually fairly true in regards to his personality. He does not like to exert himself, and he would rather sit around and study instead. That is where the misconceptions about him begin. Sōji seems completely dedicated to studying, learning, and battles of the mind. His entire existence seems to be based around solving puzzles and trying to figure out mysteries that perplex most other people. That is because he is trying to make up for his lack of physical ability by trying his best to outshine others in mental capacity. It is somewhat sad, yet it is the only way that he can define himself as a human being. Otherwise he is nothing but a creature that is relying on others to do all of his work for him.

Despite the focus on his mental abilities, Sōji lacks a very important characteristic that is needed to be a person, social skills. Because of his absolute dedication to his practices and studies, he forsook everything about the world and the people in it. He pushed people away, ignored others, and dedicated his entire existence to being the best he could possibly be in regards to grades and debates. This caused many to hate him, and he slowly developed an anti-social personality that is geared towards pushing others away rather than trying to embrace them and become friendly with them. It is not as if he sees having friends as a weakness… but he truly believes that he is better off trying to better himself than worry about his social life. That is why he has no relationships with anyone, why even his family seemed to care so little for him. He turned his back on all the people in his life just so that they would look at him with some sort of respect, as he could not gain anything by just being him.

One interesting part of his personality, however, is his extreme love of pulling gags on people to the point of setting up his gag weeks ahead of time. He is dedicated to pulling off apathy-related gags that drive people up walls, often leading to hilarious outcomes while remaining as stoic as possible. This emotionless personality of his only emphasizes the hilarity of the situations he puts people in, often leading many to find him somewhat amusing despite the fact that he tries his best to hide his emotions during his gags. Underneath all that false apathy, however, he is dying of laughter on the inside and dedicating every fiber of his being into preventing his face from showing such emotions. This is a stark contrast to the rest of his personality, which may lead some to believe that if Sōji were to be himself all the time, he would probably be a rather funny fellow rather than some useless human being. Sōji, however, does not see life this way, and he would never allow himself to show this love of skits to other people. Instead, he merely tries his best to subject them to such skits.

Sōji’s extreme dedication is also attributed to his personality. He is a man that would dedicate all of his being into a singular goal, one tiny glimmer of hope for something. To better himself, to better his life, he dedicated an entire existence, fifteen years, to becoming a genius, and that is how he succeeded in his eyes. That dedication, however, does not solely apply to that aspect of his personality. If he were to find something else, anything else to dedicate himself too, Sōji would undoubtedly be able to commit himself to such a thing until he was the best at it, or at least phenomenal in a way. One might say that his dedication could have made him physically capable had he not focused solely on his studies instead. Or he could have become a very popular person if he had decided to focus on his social skills instead. Now, however, his dedication has wavered and is left in the wind, unable to be directed towards anything. Without anything to dedicate himself to, the young man sometimes feels himself withering away.

This leads to the final aspect of Sōji’s personality. He needs to have a point to his existence, proof of why he should even be alive and breathing. Without that proof, he feels useless and incapable of motivating himself at all. Despite being great when it comes to debates and having an excellent mind, that does not matter at all to Sōji unless he can see the benefits that he attains from having such things. Otherwise, he slowly becomes consumed with this idea that living is pointless and there is no meaning to himself. This constant need for self-assurance leads many to simply walk away from him and not deal with the young man, despite this personality trait stemming from a lack of social ability. By detaching himself from others, he essentially made himself incapable of realizing his own self-worth. Thus, he pushes others away while constantly seeking their approval, their assurance that he is doing well. Without their kind words, there is no reason for him to be good at anything. That is the mentality of Sōji Hashimoto.


History:
”Is that all you’re capable of, Sōji?” All of his life, Sōji was only ever good at one thing, tasks that involved he mind. Physically, he was weak, and in terms of spiritual awareness he was lacking. No matter his attempts to better himself, he was simply incapable of improving anything about his physical attributes or innate talents. All he was good at was grades and political debates. His parents, seeing that he could not grant them any joy in anything else, decided it was best to push him to always do his best in his school. They taught him to hate manga, to throw away an amiable attitude. They instructed him to adopt an apathetic approach to life, and they ruined him in terms of social capabilities. By the time he had grown up, the young man was simply a loner who was extremely well-adept at his studies. He could find flaws in any argument and crush anyone’s attempts to defeat him in a debate. His awareness in terms of strategy and problem solving were also amazing, almost as if he was some sort of prodigy. In reality, however, he had simply honed his mind for nearly fifteen years, forsaking every other aspect of life.

Thus, by the time he became a grad student, Sōji Hashimoto realized that there was not meaning to his existence. Even if he had grades and was at the top in terms of academics, he was useless to society. He could not interact with people. Almost everyone seemed to dislike him because of his blank stare and inability to actually feel the emotions they were trying to convey to him. Even in his debates, judges begrudgingly gave him victories because they saw that, despite him making persuasive arguments, he held no passion for what he was debating. There was no meaning to his existence at all, and everyone around him was aware of this. Thus, Sōji began to dislike living, to dislike almost everyone around him. It was not until one day when he was defeated in a debate by a woman who was passionate about the topic of living expenses in lower economic areas that Sōji realized just how worthless he could truly become. Even the life he clung to do dearly was ripped out from underneath him.

After such a crush defeat, Sōji left the campus where the debate was held and simply walked. He walked and walked, wanting to find some reason, some purpose to himself. That was when the woman showed up that had beaten him in his debate, Minami. She revealed that she had done so to wake the man up and see who she was. He had been ignoring everyone, turning away from everyone, and only seeing himself and how he could improve himself. Such a life was not worth living. Thus, she did her best to bring him back to reality, to make him aware of the disastrous life he was living. As she grabbed a hold of him and tried to shake him until he understood, a portal opened up nearby. Without either of them being aware of its existence, the two of them fell backwards and into another world. Sōji came to hours later in the middle of a forest, unaware of his surroundings. Minami was nowhere to be found… but there seemed to be strange creatures about. After a week, he managed to make it out of the forest and towards a nearby village on the edge of Carmillion and Eldrin. An elderly couple took him in and took care of him as long as he promised to work their field for them. While physical labor was not his forte, he was happy to have simply survived.

Personality:
❖ Quiet, calm, collected. Being blind has made Suzuki more prone to "stop and smell the roses". She appreciates the beauty in everything, even when she can't see it. She never raises her voice or hand in anger (but if she does, you better run like hell). She's usually jovial, but certain situations (like violence and/or threats of violence) will anger her (this is when you should run). On the same day every spring, she will disappear for an entire day, leaving before her apprentice (the only person she's in contact with the most) wakes and is back before her apprentice wakes the next morning.

History:
❖ Suzuki was birthed to half-giants in the lovely kingdom of Carmillion. She wasn't born blind, but instead had beautiful violet eyes and a vast vision of imagination. Her favourite recreation growing up was watching her parents work and dreaming of what she could create once she was old enough to use the forge. She often drew on the rock floor with burnt scraps of wood her ideas for daggers and candle holders. She didn't become blind until the age of 12, when she had a near fatal run in with the wrong crowd. Her parents were blacksmiths, and even if Carmillion was a peaceful kingdom, it still held awful people. Some people tried to jip her parents of pay for what they created and mended, most using the excuse of "I'll pay you later" and never returning, and a few resorting to threatening with a lethal weapon. On one occasion, little Suzuki tried standing up for her parents' hard work to one one of these miscreants. The miscreant thought the situation was hilarious at that point, and proceeded to dump hot ash on Suzuki. It got everywhere on the poor girl: hair, arms, mouth, nose, eyes, and even got into her lungs. She managed to survive the suffocating ash, but her eye-sight was sacrificed in return. Her violet eyes soon faded to a pale almost-white pink. With everyday tasks suddenly much more complicated, Suzuki started to become frustrated easily and gave up doing things she used to enjoy doing. Days turned to weeks and weeks to months, until one day, nearly 2 years after Suzuki's life-flipping moment, a young cat-folk man showed up to the shop. Of course they always got customers who were male (that was their highest demography, in fact) But this man was different. He had an air of something Suzuki had never seen or felt before. She became entranced, and he took interest in her as well.
❖ Suzuki had learned his name was Rorak Alte, a doctor from Eldrin and one of the youngest in the practice at 19 years old. He was visiting from his home kingdom, on an 'adventure' to discover new medicines and procedures for curing people. He said he heard of Suzuki's blindness while gathering some intel for leads at a pub, and he wanted to help Suzuki, see if he could restore her eyes. He was suddenly her reason for life.
❖ As Suzuki grew, so did their fondness for one another. Once Suzuki was of age 18, Rorak whisked her away. And Suzuki at 19 and Rorak at 24, they were blessed with a baby boy they named Hakuka. They raised the child at the edges of Lusia, Carmillion's capital, in a small two story house with one half of the bottom floor being a small clinic run by Rorak and the other being a workshop for Suzuki to cultivate a newfound passion: pottery. Life was peaceful, normal, fulfilling for the family. Until one day, Rorak never returned home from a house visit. Thinking that maybe he had gotten caught up in an emergency visit or the one he had left for took a turn for the worst and made him unable to contact her, Suzuki decided to wait for him. Morning came and no word. The day progressed as Suzuki's world slowly stopped, and still no word. Suzuki hid her worry with Hakuka around, but she wondered if the child still picked up some of it. When he asked about his father, she would answer that he got called away for an extra long visit. Days of waiting turned to weeks, weeks to months...and months to years.
❖ Hakuka passed away at the young age of 15. He was swimming in a lake with his friends when got caught up in a fishing net so carelessly left and drowned. His friends returned to Suzuki with his body, apologizing in quiet voices before Suzuki broke down in tears. First Rorak and now Hakuka, both of the lights in her world were gone. She had never really given up hope of Rorak being alive, but on this day, she mourned the loss of them both.
❖ 8 years later, present day, Suzuki had survived the grief, and was successful in her art now, making a small living selling her handcrafted pots, vases, and other clay knick-knacks. She thought of her lost husband and son everyday, but no longer shed tears. She had taken on an apprentice a little over a year ago, teaching them what she knew about the craft. She often thought it must be interesting to learn pottery from a blind woman

Personality:
❖ Happy-go-lucky, but diligent in her duties. Rei is usually happy and enjoys bringing merriment wherever she goes. If she ever is upset, it had to have been something severe. Because she is usually so happy and open, she has a hard time hiding if something is bothering her. Due to an incident when she was a child, she has a fear of fire, and will generally freeze up with her hands covering her ears and her head down, eyes tightly shut.

History:
❖ Rei comes from a far away kingdom known for it's Oriental styling and way of life. When Rei was born, her parents were overjoyed to have such a beautiful baby girl. But being born with a natural beauty, it was only natural that her mother would be jealous. Twice her mother attempted to kill her because of this.
At the age of 3, her mother stabbed her through the back. Her father discovered her and rushed her to a doctor. He lied for her mother, saying that Rei had slipped and fallen, bumping a table where the knife lay and caused it to fall into her.
At age 10, her mother lit the house on fire. She had intended to escape, but slipped and knocked her head on a chair. Her father, who had been sleeping after a long day at work, also died. Rei escaped but not unscathed. She suffered from severe burns around her head, shoulders, and back. She developed her fear of fire from this, having lost everything she held precious in one fell swoop.
At age 11, Rei took up sword training, which she soon began to show a natural talent for. With her newfound love, she also developed a dream: to become a Knight. For years, she trained endlessly, mastering many styles of armed fighting.
Now age 24, a master Fencer, Rei has traveled to this land, seeking a mage to journey into the Unknown with prior to meeting a small boy named Akihi Jino, who ended up not being as young as she assumed.

The weapon was created by a great mage long ago, using the gem as a catalyst for energy projectiles, though now in Jem's possession, it acts as a means to use magic and has a few lines of fiber wire, leading to the sides of his goggles to use for visual enhancement.

-Arcane Spirit: Using a bit of power from the Gem, he is able to leave a aura image [Doppelganger of what ever color the gem is]. It has no physical prowess, and disappates once attacked, though it can see and hear what's around it using the left side of his sensory abilities. -Arcane Bolt: Using the power of Arcias, Jem is able to blast bolts of arcane magic at his opponent, able to break clean through planks of wood, and scorch targets. Travels upto 20 meters and can be fired in rapid succession,[C ranked] [10 bolts before a 1 post reload]
-Adder Blue: The first form of the Gauntlet's bow, able to shoot even more powerful blue bolts, that can travel up to 400 meters per bolt that can damage trees/stone, and scorch targets. Though it takes a while to charge and aim this bolt. [C Rank] [One Bolt per Post]
-Arcane eye: Putting his goggles in and channeling some of the magical energy from the gauntlet into his eyes in order to allow him to see through obstacles such as Precipitation, Walls, and cloth, and zoom up to 300 meters. Though, he isn't able to walk while using this ability.[B rank] [Can hold for 2 posts at a time before taking a 1 post rest]
-Adder Yellow: The second stage of the bow, that allows him to shoot a powerful bolt that continues on a path until it disperses, not dispersing upon contact. It travels up to 100 meters and scorches [Not piercing] all that it passes through. Used to disable multiple people in a singular area. Or attack something uninterrupted. Using a tiring amount of power, he is able to change the intensity of the bolt at the cost of a few moments of a numbed arm. [One post] [B Rank] [One Post Charge, and Three post Cool down]
- Arcane Blink: Using the power of the Gauntlet, he is able to use quick bursts of speed to teleport three times per set at a max range of 20 meters per blink. With this technique, he leaves a blue trail behind him that shows the direction of his movement. [B rank] [3 post Cool down Per Set]
-Adder Red: The Current maximum of power of the Gauntlet. His gem glows red with an uncontrollable power it seems, allowing him one great, powerful bolt at the cost of the Gem's power for a few moments. After charging, he unleashes a ground warping, high speed, what he calls a Super Bolt. It is able to break through not only steal and Vast walls, as well as making a great shockwave upon impact that scales upto 10 meters from the point of impact. Personality:
❖ Jem is a bit of a witty person, allowing his condescending attitude to delve him not just into tombs, but also trouble. The young man is fueled with many thoughts. Shiny rocks and money being a big bubble in his mind, though it's not all he lives for. He is, by heart, an explorer of ruins and raider of tombs. In his line of work, he runs into other 'Colleagues' that have grown, not so fond of the young man. Due to his constant jokes and nonchalant attitude towards the many achievements that each of his elders has gained. He is always more focused on the present and distant past than what had happened the day before. With this, he began making up sayings and jotting them down, incase he was chronicled as a hero, or historian. But in his day, fossils aren't always his motives for diving into danger, and though he doesn't have a horrid moral compass, thieving is not above him, but more on the same road, with a cold drink, talking of their plans.

History:
❖ The young boy, was birthed under a glowing aurora in a winter home. A Scholar and his wife doting over each other and the life they began. The young boy, named after a great muse from the mother's homeland, grew by the books of history while his father studied literature. The two were graced by knowledge through a royal gift. In his earlier years, Jemone was in a small village where the only real joy was reading and fishing. Though, under the tutorliage of his father until the age of 8, he was by far the second greatest mind in the area. He gained a habit. Through the many escapades his young friends had, boasting over the catch of the day, or the hunt they had ventured upon, Jemone took a vow of silence from his endevours. For each time he heard a story, another boy went to trump the achievement in the same area. By the age of 10, his father and mother were called back to the grand city in order to find a stone of magical power the lord of the land had been searching for.

Within a month, Jemone was in a new environment. He was in a place where he was no longer surrounded by knowledge and cold, but a hot crowded area, of what he believed to be idiots. His smile faded for the first year of entering the great city. He knew nothing great was within the walls, and his family began to slowly struggle as they searched. They received no funding, due to the lack of evidence and fruitlessness in searching. The family slowly began to drift. His mother spending nights out, his father behind a wall of papers stressing, and him, alone. Jemone found that poverty was not a life he enjoyed, and had no idea how to fix it, being only a lad in a world of men. Though, not long after his life had seemed to dive into the cesspool's grip, he found a small relief from the hunger he had to endure. His hand, by mere fault, fell into a woman's purse and exited with a ruby ring. The ring was worth enough to keep him eating for a whole month. With this discovery, the young mind began to mold into that of a ne'er do well. From the kind age of 10 to the age of 14, he was able to keep on a small scale thieving job chain, from the unsupecting rich. Though, on one attempt, in his 14th year, he was caught, taking money from a vender. The young man was put into the brig for a full 3 nights, to be bailed out by his father. In this, the scholar revoked the name 'Arcus' from him. He was disowned.

In the streets, for 3 months, he struggled. To survive, he did what he deemed needed. Even at a point, thinking of leaving the city. Though, after stumbling across a great ruin in his rounds around the walls, he had his childhood passion sparked. He seemingly swooped in and took the prizes the other's in the wall couldn't find. A suit of armor, that seemed to be a court mage's, a map of the whole continent, a map to several sister ruins, and a glove. No, it was a Gauntlet. In it, a gem sat, the gem his family had broken apart because of. As he slid this piece of material on, he felt a power he had not felt. A mystic voice calling to him, and after, the glove tightened to his hand. He was now the wielder of ancient power. It was one of the greatest moments he had experienced.

Not too long after gaining power, he moved on from the walls that had broken him. To a new life. He travelled what seemed to be the whole world, fighting off monsters, stealing the hearts and purse of many, discovering the secrets of ancients. His life was one he hoped to be written down in the history books, so someone could come to his tomb one day, and try to take his treasures.

Personality:
❖ Quiet, calm, collected. Being blind has made Suzuki more prone to "stop and smell the roses". She appreciates the beauty in everything, even when she can't see it. She never raises her voice or hand in anger (but if she does, you better run like hell). She's usually jovial, but certain situations (like violence and/or threats of violence) will anger her (this is when you should run). On the same day every spring, she will disappear for an entire day, leaving before her apprentice (the only person she's in contact with the most) wakes and is back before her apprentice wakes the next morning.

History:
❖ Suzuki was birthed to half-giants in the lovely kingdom of Carmillion. She wasn't born blind, but instead had beautiful violet eyes and a vast vision of imagination. Her favourite recreation growing up was watching her parents work and dreaming of what she could create once she was old enough to use the forge. She often drew on the rock floor with burnt scraps of wood her ideas for daggers and candle holders. She didn't become blind until the age of 12, when she had a near fatal run in with the wrong crowd. Her parents were blacksmiths, and even if Carmillion was a peaceful kingdom, it still held awful people. Some people tried to jip her parents of pay for what they created and mended, most using the excuse of "I'll pay you later" and never returning, and a few resorting to threatening with a lethal weapon. On one occasion, little Suzuki tried standing up for her parents' hard work to one one of these miscreants. The miscreant thought the situation was hilarious at that point, and proceeded to dump hot ash on Suzuki. It got everywhere on the poor girl: hair, arms, mouth, nose, eyes, and even got into her lungs. She managed to survive the suffocating ash, but her eye-sight was sacrificed in return. Her violet eyes soon faded to a pale almost-white pink. With everyday tasks suddenly much more complicated, Suzuki started to become frustrated easily and gave up doing things she used to enjoy doing. Days turned to weeks and weeks to months, until one day, nearly 2 years after Suzuki's life-flipping moment, a young cat-folk man showed up to the shop. Of course they always got customers who were male (that was their highest demography, in fact) But this man was different. He had an air of something Suzuki had never seen or felt before. She became entranced, and he took interest in her as well.
❖ Suzuki had learned his name was Rorak Alte, a doctor from Eldrin and one of the youngest in the practice at 19 years old. He was visiting from his home kingdom, on an 'adventure' to discover new medicines and procedures for curing people. He said he heard of Suzuki's blindness while gathering some intel for leads at a pub, and he wanted to help Suzuki, see if he could restore her eyes. He was suddenly her reason for life.
❖ As Suzuki grew, so did their fondness for one another. Once Suzuki was of age 18, Rorak whisked her away. And Suzuki at 19 and Rorak at 24, they were blessed with a baby boy they named Hakuka. They raised the child at the edges of Lusia, Carmillion's capital, in a small two story house with one half of the bottom floor being a small clinic run by Rorak and the other being a workshop for Suzuki to cultivate a newfound passion: pottery. Life was peaceful, normal, fulfilling for the family. Until one day, Rorak never returned home from a house visit. Thinking that maybe he had gotten caught up in an emergency visit or the one he had left for took a turn for the worst and made him unable to contact her, Suzuki decided to wait for him. Morning came and no word. The day progressed as Suzuki's world slowly stopped, and still no word. Suzuki hid her worry with Hakuka around, but she wondered if the child still picked up some of it. When he asked about his father, she would answer that he got called away for an extra long visit. Days of waiting turned to weeks, weeks to months...and months to years.
❖ Hakuka passed away at the young age of 15. He was swimming in a lake with his friends when got caught up in a fishing net so carelessly left and drowned. His friends returned to Suzuki with his body, apologizing in quiet voices before Suzuki broke down in tears. First Rorak and now Hakuka, both of the lights in her world were gone. She had never really given up hope of Rorak being alive, but on this day, she mourned the loss of them both.
❖ 8 years later, present day, Suzuki had survived the grief, and was successful in her art now, making a small living selling her handcrafted pots, vases, and other clay knick-knacks. She thought of her lost husband and son everyday, but no longer shed tears. She had taken on an apprentice a little over a year ago, teaching them what she knew about the craft. She often thought it must be interesting to learn pottery from a blind woman

Weapon: A Katana with a steel and leather guard. The blade is approximately 20" in length with its hilt making the entire sword 27". She forged the sword herself. The metal making up the blade is made of one of the hardest in the land, gifted to her by her previous mage, Nao. The large guard she has is detachable from the hilt for maintenance and ease. It is made from leather and the leftover metals from her katana. Additionally, she has three tanto blades: [1] / [2]. She also forged these, but she did so after the left Nao, so they aren't nearly as strong as her katana. Each represents a past life she has lived and subsequently remembered. These are kept ready to use in special holsters that stay fastened to her back. There is also a place that holds her sword on this holster. It is designed so she can unsheathe the blades with one hand.

Natural Abilities:
Past Lives (E+): Being an Old Soul, Fujiko has the ability to see memories from her past lives. She cannot control when this happens and is directly affected by her unlocked memories. For example, the scars on her left forearm appeared after memories of her chained imprisonment came through. The benefits of this ability lie in taking away knowledge from the memories, learning about ancient cultures, gaining positive memories and boosting her emotions, or as a warning system via evolutionary fear. It seems to be triggered by near-death experiences, heavy dream states, head injuries, or traumatic experiences. Though, memories also come at random times and aren't always relevant, but when triggered by an intense/high emotion situation, they usually are relevant. She has been able to communicate with a past life once and it was brief. This was when she was unconscious for two weeks. In her dream, it only felt like two minutes.
Underfoot (C): Fuu, to put it simply, can tap into the ground beneath her for a multitude of reasons. She can heal herself, but this has to be done during a sleep cycle and most of her body has to be touching the ground. She can sense movement within a fifty meter radius, but she herself cannot be moving while doing this. Just as well, she can only tell how many people there are, not what weapons they may be carrying or what kind of abilities they have.
Can't Hear (B-): Being light on your feet is an undeniably important trait for a swordsman; this ability helps Fuu make herself all the more silent. She can only silence the area around her in a matter of five inches, so this is usually done to make her footsteps silent as she moves. This is what helped her gain her nickname, because while she can't use this ability with her katana, she can with her smallest tanto. Even those trained to hear the air moving around them cannot hear her blade coming for them. Hence, "The Silent Death." With such a short range, she has to get incredibly close to her opponents, and of course this doesn't affect their sight, so she can easily be caught. A little more comically, she uses this to silence the bells tied to the hilt of her katana. If asked "why don't you just take them off?" she simply replies, "why do you care?"
Berserker (C): A rather basic muscle-enhancing/adrenaline-based ability. In moments of great duress, like during intense fights, she can force her physical feelings to halt and block pain. This helps her to keep pushing so she can continue fighting, even if her body wants to give up. Its almost like a second wind. This also greatly boosts the swing of her sword and strength behind her hits. She's been able to slice clean through both the thighs of a man twice her size by utilizing this ability. The problem comes when the fight is over. She doesn't use this ability often because of the toll it can take on her body. As the adrenaline wears off, all of her pains and muscle aches hit her at once and she usually has to sleep, eat, and/or rest afterwards. Basically, she's unable to go all out in a fight again. Can only be used once within an eight hour range.

Strengths:
Observant: Her mind is as trained as her eyes, combined with sharp reflexes, so she's trained to look. She is almost always painfully aware of her surroundings.
Resolute: Fuu refuses to stop until her goal is met. Even if she's knocked unconscious and moved across the world. You'll have to kill her before she ever gives up.
Independent: She's lived on her own, aside from three years, since she was thirteen. Fujiko learned very well and very quickly how to create a free life for herself.
Masterful: Instead of learning the surface level of many things, she prefers to completely master something before moving on. It just so happens she likes blades.

Weaknesses:
Damaged: Between her family and her lineage, Fujiko has had her fair share of... impactful experiences. Because of it, she doesn't trust easily, and she keeps locked.
Unmotivated: She doesn't have a distinct goal in life as of now. She's just roaming, helping when she feels like it to make extra money. She travels like a soft breeze.
Spiteful: Growing up, this has settled some, but she's sure if she ever saw Nao again, she would try to kill him. Her sense of justice is rather one-sided and personal.
Capricious: Even without the waves of memories causing drastic mood shifts, Fujiko is rather fickle. When it comes to her own desires, though, her resolve is strong.

❖ Fujiko has always been headstrong and determined, no one would be able to refute that. Though her natural voice is quiet, her internal voice is strong, as are her actions. She would much rather keep her mouth shut and physically fight for herself than use words. Her pride stems from staying alive for so long, but even though its well place, she still comes across as vain. Her hesitation to speak with people or make friends makes her seem egotistical, when in reality she just doesn't feel comfortable with normal socializing. She generally comes across as a depressed presence. Yet, she doesn't see out the comfort of others. She doesn't trust others. Fuu has grown accustomed to being alone, sleeping under trees, and working to survive. It was the easiest her life had ever been, after all. It was simple. She craved a simple life. Unapproachable, snide, and off-putting, Fujiko puts up that very front to stave people off. When someone is able to get underneath her shell, she is at her most protective and caring. Her softer side is a rare sight, but it exists, and she doesn't like showing it. She blushes easily, loses her words, and gets defensive. It does warm her up to have something to fight for, though.

History:
❖ There is a legend that surrounds the Hiyama family, one that is only told through word of mouth even to this day. Descendants from angels exist, this is known, but one family is blessed to give birth to a different kind of divine being: an Old Soul. This happens every 30th generation in the Hiyama family. It has been this way "since the beginning of our family history, and there are writings to prove it." Fujiko was the fortunate receiver of this gift and the subsequent studies it required. Old Souls held a special ability to gain memories from and connect with their past lives. It was rare to communicate with one's past life, but their family had documents recording its occurrence. With all the journals and books and scrolls, there was never a way that said how to make the memories come, though. Nothing. There was plenty laid out about the negative repercussions, though, and the more she learned, the less she liked. Learning about one's past lives sounds inviting, but Fuu would never describe this as a gift or a blessing. As a child, her dreams were plagued with memories not her own. Ones that she forgot when she woke up, but were squirming in the back of her mind begging to be heard. Being unable to control her birthright, unable to access the memories her own brain held, was like torture.

❖ Besides the legacy bestowed upon her, Fujiko tried to live a normal life. She grew up with her mother and father in one of the smaller Yuko no Okoku settlements. Her father, Goichi, was an Aasimar that was born to the Hiyama family in that very same village. He was a very skilled mage. Her mother, Eva, was from a different place, foreign to their village and looked upon as such. She was an earth nymph that fell in love during an exploration of the world. They were wed and had a child: Fujiko. She was trained to fight in the various styles of her ancestors and in the art of sword play, brought up with the ability to defend herself. Her father held a large influence over the people of their village and the surrounding ones, much to the dismay of his village's Patriarch and counsel. When she was ten, she woke up one morning to her mother in tears, and her father gone. He ran away with no word of goodbye. Fuu wouldn't know why he did this until later in her life, but it was because of a threat against their family, out of fear for his power. When she was thirteen, her father returned and was unable to stay away from his family any longer. The Patriarchs found out and captured Goichi with intent to torture him. As a foreigner, they put her mother to death as her father's punishment. It all happened so suddenly, and all she could imagine was the next Old Soul having to experience this pain.

❖ Fuu tried to intervene with the execution, but her father escaped his confinement and stopped her before she could reach the site. He convinced her to run away, shoving a sack of supplies into her hands and yelling at her to live. He was saying that he would save Eva, but he would never live up to that promise. Fujiko ran up the neighboring mountain, sandals grinding into the snow, just like the way her teeth wore together as she looked down to the town. Her mother's lifeless body was in the town center. A completely different symbol to the leaders and to the townspeople. Fuu turned and never looked back, running even when her throat burned and tears froze to her face. Her mother was a martyr and an example, depending on your perspective. Her father was a coward. What would she grow up to be?

❖ For the year after that, Fujiko roamed between villages, mostly sticking to the woods but preying on the kindness of others when she had too. It wasn't ideal, but it was how she survived. When she was fourteen, she met Naotsune Jin, her future mentor and first mage. Young, naive, and looking for somewhere to fit in, Fuu fell in love with Nao and his free lifestyle. He was simple and happy with his loneliness, just like she craved to be. She formed her first pact as a knight when she was a juvenile, under the guise of this being his first pact as well. That was the first of many lies Nao would feed the old soul. During her entire time with him, she never received any memories. None. It was like her mind wanted to keep that stress away from her. She was thankful, but she was also sad to admit that she felt incomplete without them. They trained together and he taught her many things, including coercion and manipulation. Their mana-produced and unionized powers were an example of their atomic relationship. Fuu was just utterly blinded by wanting to be. After six months together alone, they returned to his home in Yamasato, and to his harem of knights that were also caught in his web of false affections. This lasted three years. Three years of being wrongfully in love with a corrupted mage, using knights as stand-ins for death. One day, Nao made a mistake. He tried to kill Fujiko himself. He wanted her to break their pact, and he tried to convince her by grabbing her throat and urging her breath to stop. She broke his arm and nose. She broke her own heart. She severed their pact right then and left to be alone in life again. So, was she a runner?

❖ Fujiko was seventeen, then, and she worked to find a new purpose. Being a knight had done her no good, she was so easily coerced, just like she was so easily coerced to run away from her mother's execution. That thought delivered her goal: find her father. She would find Goichi. She spent the next three years trying to find her father, to no avail. He was an enigma. Then one day, in small town comparable to her hometown, someone claimed they actually saw him. He was at a park. Everyday, he was there. Fujiko went there immediately and saw him. He was sitting alone in the rain, uncaring of the downpour being dumped on his shoulders. She felt the same way. Being as quiet as she could be, she snuck up behind her father, sliding her tanto's blade to his throat. She asked him why. Why did he make her leave? Why didn't he try harder? So many questions fell from her for what felt like an eternity, but he never answered any of them. He just sat there in silence. If his shoulders weren't quivering every few seconds, she would have thought he was already dead. After a moment of silence, Goichi lifted his face towards the sky, and Fuu steeled herself. Swiftly, she slid her blade outward and achieved her goal: avenger her mother's death. Her father's body fell limp as Fujiko ran away, escaping as silently as when she had arrived. She left a note, simply saying "he deserved a silent death," which is where her alias "The Silent Death" comes from.

❖ A memory came back that night. Her first one in years. In this past life, she was a young boy laughing with his father, learning how to properly ride a horse. It came as she sat in a deeper part of the forest, under the same rain she and her father just shared. She sobbed until her throat was raw and her chest was sore. She felt lost, like she didn't have anything to speak for. As she continued growing up, Fuu roamed Yuki no Okoku and parts of Carmillion, searching for a purpose in life. She hasn't entered into a new Knighthood since she was seventeen years old. The freedom was something she cherished, but it was heart wrenchingly lonely. There were a few people she met on her journeys. One that she could even consider friends, but she left them eventually. When The Moment happened, Fuu had been back in her hometown, visiting the final resting place of her mother. It was a like a sign that she needed to change her life once again. She needed to find a new goal. She continued to keep to herself and let the panic die down. She begam exploring the newly integrated world after about a month of waiting, incredibly weary of the tech and inhabitants. There were mixed emotions when it came to those from "Earth." Some embraced the apparent advancements and possible cooperation. Others feared war and conquering was all that would come. Fujiko was on the fence regarding the matter, so she vowed to at least learn all that she could. Recently, she's been thinking that that might be easier with a Mage, or at least someone that could make more sense of this new world than she could.

Day-to-Day: As seen in the accompanying image. A loosely worn yukata with wrappings around her chest and parts of her arms. It is tied around her hips with a cord from her great-grandfather's old priest robes. She wears mid-thigh length, black tights and has her knees and ankles in wrappings as well. Fuu has the most memories of this life, sixteen clear ones. A woman, a slave, that was moved across multiple borders with no regard for her health or well-being. She was used like a sort of mule alongside three others. Moving supplies, setting up camp every night, tearing it down every morning, cooking. Anything they needed, was provided, including pleasure of flesh. The strongest memory that sticks with her is being tied up and whipped for stealing food, left for dead as her captors stalked off, throwing her away just as easily as they took her. These memories urged her to learn self defense, a fear of being kidnapped stuck firmly in the back of her mind. She is also hesitant to be physically close with anyone because of this.

Memories of Second Past Life Tanto: [Ai 愛] Associated Feelings: warmth, joy, love. Recovery Time: none, generally peaceful after these memories.
In this life, she had her soul mate at her side, being so blessed as to have grown up with together. They were both women, and they carried each other through life. They hailed from a the countryside, away from the horrors of war or plague, and spent all their time with each other. All of Fuu's remembered memories of this life are with this other person. She died before her soul mate, though, and hasn't found them in any other life. Fujiko is in her best moods when these memories pass on to her. She has eight strong impressions from this life.

Memories of Third Past Life Tanto: [Yami 闇] Associated Feelings: horror, panic, anxiety. Recovery Time: up to four days sometimes.
Fuu has only one single memory from this life, and she's seen it three separate times. The first time it passed through her mind, it left her debilitated for two week. She wouldn't speak or leave her room. The next two times she saw it, she took less time to recuperate, four days total. She doesn't know who she is in this past life, or what exactly happened, but she knows for a fact she was murdered ruthlessly. It strikes fear into her heart, and she rarely goes out alone at night because of this.

Memories of Fourth Past Life Tanto: [None] Associated Feelings: longing, envy, mixed emotions. Recovery Time: a few hours at most, if any time at all.
This is the newest past life that has presented its memories to Fuu. She is a young boy in an unfamiliar place. He has family, a father and a mother who dance and play with him, smother him with love and affection, and nourish him with complete care. The only memories she has gotten are two, both as a child. When she first ran away from Nao, she received a flash of the first memory, father twirling son around in the air, laughter the only audible thing. The second was the entire family together, seemingly worshiping a pine tree like Pagans. Whatever they were doing, they were all together, and they were all smiling.

                                          spaceMusing that her inner thoughts were louder than her surroundings, Fujiko sat at a meager establishment, one of the rare times she opted to purchase food. She thought up haiku as she waited for her order to come. It was a simple way to pass the time and she desperately needed the distraction. This place was off of any main pathways or roads so she trusted it to be barren. Surprisingly, there were quite a few merchants and farmers within the establishment's walls. She hadn't been expecting or wanting the company. So, she was sat outside on a wooden bench that allowed her to lean back on the building. Just as well, she preferred having something against her back, and seclusion. Her eyes drifted down to her hands in her lap, warmed by the cup tea they currently housed. She slowly lifted it to her lips and felt the heat pour into her gut; she readily welcomed it. 'Tea leaves settle with such ease, unhindered by the wind... maybe one day.' She let out an even breath as she lowered her cupped hands, settling her gaze out onto treeline ahead of her. It was where she had emerged from not even ten minutes ago. She'd been camping out for eighteen days before a sudden craving for dumplings wafted over her. Perhaps the smell from this place was strong enough to sink into her dreams; she would never know. Regardless, the redhead wound up here and was patiently awaiting her desired dish.

                                          spaceShe tried to keep her mind from wandering by distracting it with haiku, but she couldn't stave her thoughts for long. Another memory from her second life came to light three days ago. It still felt so fresh, like she could reach her hand out and stroke Arya's cheek at any given moment. That was her name, her second life's soul mate. Arya. And even in this life, Fuu felt connected to her. Those memories were always the kindest. She hadn't even realized her eyes slid shut until she heard a small voice address her. "Excuse me, miss. I believe this is yours." The isolated knight blinked her eyes open and looked up at the elderly woman, "Ah, sorry. Thank you." She reached out one hand and took the presented plate, setting aside her tea in the same motion, and settled the plate in her lap. The old woman smiled and gave a half bow, "Its unsafe to get lost in your thoughts. Best to stay in this world, where you know the way." Fujiko stared at her and did not respond, simply bowing her head and giving a soft, "Hm." It must not have been the response the older woman wanted. Her posture stiffened and she huffed as she turned away to walk back into the eatery, leaving Fuu alone once again. Sage-like advice, especially unwarranted, was something she didn't care for. It seemed so pointless.

                                          spaceFujiko stared down at the plate for a moment. The dumplings were still steaming. However hindered, the older woman's words echoed in her mind. "Its unsafe to get lost in your thoughts." It was an interesting notion. She sighed and shook her head. It was heavy, soaked with memories and musings and poetry. The redhead plucked a dumpling off her plate and ate slowly, trying to fill herself with something other than thought.

❖ Brier is a sunny individual. She has one of those smiles that makes you feel like you're the only person in the world. Her curiosity and interest in literally anything knows no bounds. Of course, just because she's a journalist doesn't mean she disrespects privacy; she knows when to keep things "off the books." Be warned, she is full of questions, though, and she's not afraid to ask them. Her endlessly cheery personality seems to make people think she's uneducated, but that is not the case. In fact, she graduated with her degree two years early, and she's quite proud of that. Growing up with a little sister instilled her with a strong sense of empathy and care. This passes onto other people, obviously, and is a big part of who she is. Underneath her consistent line of questions and personal inquiries is a warm soul just trying to understand. That is not to say everyone likes her. She can come off as nosy and intrusive, so that can be off-putting to a lot of people. Regardless, she tries her best to get to know the stories of everyone she meets.

History:
❖ Florence was born in London, England to British-born Monica and Japanese-born Kenichi. Their love story wasn't anything to write home about. Of course, it was special to them. Her mother, a nurse practitioner, first traveled to Japan to represent her hospital; they were building a sister site in Japan. She met Kenichi, an engineer helping to construct the new hospital, during her first visit. They hit it off and spent the week working with each other, the chemistry between them was undeniable. It would be six months until they would speak again. This was during her second visit to Japan, and they were smart enough to exchange phone numbers then. They talked on and off over the next few years while the hospital was being constructed. The day it was done, Kenichi called Monica to tell her that he was in London, and he was waiting for her because "we have dinner reservations." They were married, he had no trouble finding work, and they built a small kingdom for themselves. Then, in the blink of an eye, Monica was pregnant. Another blink, and Florence Brier Inoue was brought into the world.

❖ Growing up with parents who had demanding jobs made for a lonely home life. Luckily, instead of staying alone, she mimicked her parents and kept her schedule full. In school, she participated in loads of after-school activities: drama, tennis, swim, and she wrote for the school's Newspaper. She was fluent in English and Japanese, and she also taught herself basic Russian and French, though her Russian is choppy. When she was fourteen, her little sister was born, and Florence immediately fell in love. She offered to take care of little Daisy often, staving off her after-school practices, all besides the Newspaper; that was her favorite. When Daisy grew old enough to speak, years later, "Florence" was too hard for her to pronounce, but she could say "Brier" better. From then on she went by Brier. They were best friends, and they still have sleepovers when Brier is in town. Daisy brought their family closer together, as well.

❖ When she turned seventeen, it came time to choose a University and her life's ultimate path. She knew that she wanted to pursue Journalism. There was no way around it. She'd been writing stories for the Newspaper most of her time in school and she very much enjoyed it. Her parents, though, didn't enjoy the thought so much. They urged her to "choose something real" because she "won't make any money writing stories for a living." After a couple back-and-forths, Brier conceded and said she would pick one of their choices, not her own. She talked to her little sister about it even though she wouldn't understand, at three years old, but Daisy did something surprising. She took Brier's cheeks in her tiny hands and said "be happy!" A month later, during her meeting with the advisory board at Oxford University, she officially declared herself an Investigative Journalism major. Her parents were so upset at her decision that they didn't speak to her for two years.

❖ Instead of focusing on making them happy, she worked towards her own goals. In those two years, Brier took on extra courses during normal semesters as well as full Summer courses. She was already close to graduating with her Bachelor's degree, but she took another year to minor in photography. One of her professors suggested it after he spotted her taking Polaroids of the campus. She figured, why not? After sharing this information with her parents, they changed their tones, and were impressed with their daughter's hard work. She immediately took on two internships, one for freelance work and one for "workplace management." The second turned out to be a fancy front for a secretary's position. She stuck with them both, though, and quickly climbed in the ranks. Her tenacity and unbiased nature quickly attracted a lot of readers. So did her willingness to broach sensitive topics. She quit her second internship after they offered her an official position, moving to work full time at the freelancing internship. Since then, she's enrolled in the Master's Program at Oxford, with full intent to move on ahead to getting her PhD.

❖ Well, those were her plans. After The Moment brought Earth and Terra together, everyone was quick to act. Everyone wanted to be the first to report on it, her employer included. They asked her if she wanted to travel and document anything, absolutely anything to do with The Moment and the merging of the two worlds. Multiple countries were reportedly experiencing a transformation, Japan and her own home country included. They told her to take some time to think over it. After all, she would be leaving her home, family, and goals of furthering her education behind. She told them no, she wouldn't take time to think on it; she was doing it. This was investigative journalism at its core. It made her anxious and excited all at once; that is her absolute favorite feelings. Anxiety mixed with excitement. It made for a great motivator, not that she needs the motivation. She was ready to go even before they asked. Within the first three months, she traveled between the southern portion of England, to France, and to Italy (when she visited the Vatican City). Now, she has to choose between Japan and the Persian Gulf.

Personality:
❖ Rina is a mother figure, through and through. Comforting and caring for her younger siblings, her personality developed at a young age to be patient and nurturing. Others needed her, and she was there. Rina keeps her emotions on her sleeves, though it rarely changes from her cheerful demeanor. Known to help a hand and home a stranger on the off chance, Rina trusts people easier than the average citizen, and even fills their pockets with food and a tip to go. Good karma and bright aura surround her regularly.

History:
❖ Born into Carmillion, Rina quickly became the oldest of a family of eight, and was sought to being the home taker. Both her mother and father had been born of magic, and developed the gene within her siblings; but Rina was the odd gene out, forcing her to have to compensate with fantastic skills. Fantastic skills in cooking, that is! Cooking for 10 hungry mouths daily was a chore on it's own, but she found solace in knowing she was making those dearest to her happy. Her mother was an herb specialist within the city, making potions and helping local infirmaries, teaching Rina a few things here and there about what was best to use in certain recipes. While Acherion was apart of the Water City System of Lusia, maintaining clean water throughout it. Other family members, though, had moved out and were either in classes for magics, while some went for knight work. Sprawled all throughout the land of Carmillion, the Chronolympus family worked to better their individual cities. Rina, however, was apart of a main restaurant within the center of Lusia; busy and hyped for the length it's been open, and even a bit before. Being in the kitchen, her skills that she had honed at a young age were put to good use, compared as second to none. Living within the city, Rina had bought herself a nice sized loft with her earnings and pocket funds, large enough for herself and two other people, if need be. Not that she lived with anyone else, but Rin was known to give a helping hand to those kind enough.

❖ Her Evocation magic is activated through the use of thaumatergy, requiring her to speak or mime lines of incantations to use them. She can only speak four lines per post.
Divination
❖ Divine Casting (C): While Zarina does rely on mana, it is not generally from her in particular. She does have mana, however, her spells rely on blessings from the snake deity that grants her divination magic. As such, much mana is drawn from the world around her itself, being gifted to her to perform the spells that she casts. This man, as such, is divine as it is gifted to her by a deity. Additionally, it is far more potent and powerful than regular mana, allowing her to cast high-level spells. Most mages that use divination combine it with conjuration and enchantments to make powerful spells that bend things to their will. Zarina, however, uses the secondary class of divination to channel divine energy through her and cast immensely destructive spells.
❖ High Speed Incantation (C): Zarina, being a conduit for Zaphir, was granted knowledge beyond her years by the deity she chose to base her Divination school on. As such, he showed her how mages of the past coped with difficult and complex spells’ cast times. This led to her gaining this spell-like ability, allowing her to cast devastating spells with mere sentences and moderate spells with just a simple word. The downside is that she has to be able to speak to shorten the duration of the incantation, meaning that if her voice is sealed she has to rely on the spell’s normal casting time.
❖ Seals of the Divine One, Zaphir (B): Zarina is capable of using the divine mana within her to craft seals that are capable of sealing away the magical properties of certain creatures and items. For instance, she uses these seals to keep the effects of her gorgon and basilisk eyes from harming those around her. She can also use it to nullify the effects of magical items and even seal off the mana supply to Knights, so that they have to battle with their own ability. Unfortunately, she cannot seal away a natural connection to mana, such as a mage’s natural ability to generate and use mana. She also cannot seal away the magical properties of Armaments, as they are far too ancient and powerful for her to try.

Additionally, this spell can only be cast through direct contact from her or a conduit that is connected to her being, such as a Knight. As long as the person is not touched, she does not have the capability to seal anything. As such, this spell is very limited in its use except for battle preparation.
❖ Sight of Zaphir (C): This spell allows Zarina to gain clairvoyance, which allows her perfect vision. It lets her see through objects, see things from miles away as if they were right in front of her, and allows her to see that which should not be seen. It allows her to see mana, invisible creatures, and even the life force of people. She can see everything with these eyes, yet that does not mean she can understand what everything is. It is easy to identify what mana is, or even a creature’s life force. However, it is far more difficult to distinguish what certain things are, such as an item covered in mana being either an enchanted weapon or an armament. Specific details are beyond her when she uses this spell.
❖ Divining (D): This spell allows Zarina to look into the past or even the possible futures of people. This is one of the most common spells for all those that practice the magic in the school of divination.
❖ Spiritual Projection (C): This spell allows Zarina to project her soul, spirit, into the ethereal realm, allowing her to interact with the beings in it. This also allows her to attack people’s spirits as well, weakening their mana and such. Using this spell requires the user to meditate and chant the spell so that they are in a position in which their body will not die without the lack of a spirit. By doing so, they become immobile and unable to protect themselves. This technique is very common amongst those who practice divination.
❖ Teleportation (B): This spell allows Zarina to teleport to various areas within her line of sight or captured in photographs. A divine light covers her and takes her from one place to the next, pushing away anything that is currently residing in the spot she is going to. The beam of light shines brighter and brighter before dispersing. Then, she reappears in the same light at another location of her choice. She can also use this spell on other people, so long as she is capable of touching them. Additionally, she can place down signets around an area. Whoever touches these signets is instantly teleported to a place of her choice. She usually uses these as a defense mechanism.
❖ Flight (B): Zarina can cast flight to allow herself to float and fly through the air. She is simply suspended in the air by divine magic, which causes her to glow with a brilliant light as she uses it.
❖ Divine Purge (S): This spell is one of Zarina’s greatest spells. Using the divine energy in her body, she focuses all of it into a single point and then expands it across an area, using the divine energy’s concentrated effect to eradicate anything that is not divine as well. Additionally, this effectively purges the user’s body off all effects, poisons, and detriments, as well as purging everyone else within the effective range of it. All magic that comes into contact with its radius-of-effect is instantly obliterated if it is not of divine origin, due to the sheer power of the concentrated energy. It does not, however, harm anyone that is not demonic or undead in some way.

Additionally, all creatures of demonic or undead origins are turned by this ability, and if they are too weak they are obliterated entirely. The divine attributes of the ability attempt to purge them, which means that they need to either start fleeing from it or face utter destruction by the concentration of divine energy. The after effects of the blast also prevent them from entering the area-of-effect due to the residual divine energy that was left over, or else they face severe detrimental effects due to the concentration of divine mana flowing about. In short, it is almost like a poison that halves all of their stats and makes them feel nauseous if they choose to venture into the after-effect range. This lasts for five of the user’s posts.

Finally, the cost for using this ability is that the user can only use their own mana for seven posts, losing the ability to use divine mana temporarily. Additionally, they cannot gather enough mana to use purge for a second time until after ten posts by the user.
Evocation
❖ Blossoming Snow-Lotus (SS): This spell is Zarina’s greatest spell in her arsenal due to its incredibly powerful effects. Upon chanting the twelve-line spell, shortened to three with high speed incantation, Zarina unleashes a powerful blast of ice from around her. This blast slowly forms and shapes itself into a destructive force that starts freezing everything within the surrounding area, creating large structures and destroying everything around it. Buildings, castles, the ice penetrates and destroys it all in its expansion. Once finished, the spell resembles a giant lotus flow that has blossomed with Zarina standing in the middle of it.

The effects of this spell are not just the immediate ice-based destruction it causes. This spell causes the air to become extremely cold, capable of causing incapacitation if the enemy is not prepared for the sheer temperature drop. After exposure to the spell occurs, it takes around four posts before the enemy begins to suffer debilitating effects from continued exposure to it. This includes frost bite, their body slowing down due to the cold, their body parts beginning to freeze over and become part of the ice structure, and even hypothermia. Additionally, if the enemy did not escape the initial blast, there is a chance they are either frozen within it, pierced by it, or simply tossed many, many yards away by the impact of the spell’s expansion.

This structure lasts for twenty posts once it is created and any ice-spell that is cast within the structure has a magnified effect that increases the spell’s strength by one rank. Additionally, any water spell that is cast within the structure instantly freezes and becomes useless upon conjuration. The structure has a two-mile radius and is over eighty feet in height, various petals sometimes reaching over a mile into the air. Once the twenty posts are over with, the structures effects may end, but it takes days, maybe even weeks for the structure itself to fully melt due to its mass. The rate it melts at depends on the location. In some places, such as Yuki no Okoku, the ice structure is permanent, and as such Zarina can continually funnel mana into it to generate its effects.

This spell can only be used once per battle. Additionally, it cannot differentiate between friend or foe, attacking both equally.
❖ Maelstrom of Ice (A): This spell, like the name suggests, is a destruction spell that creates a giant storm of hail capable of destroying most large structures. It rips through people, buildings, and even large creatures with great efficiency. Additionally, flying creatures and people who attempt to fly in it get caught in the storm’s torrential winds, being bludgeoned twice as badly as other people due to being flung around in the storm. This storm lasts for four to five posts and requires eight lines to chant. This is shortened to two by high speed incantation.
❖ Destructive Ice (B): This is a general use ice spell that Zarina likes to use as her standard method of attack. It consists of an ice blast that can be shaped into different projectiles or even used to freeze people solid. It requires only one word to be spoken by Zarina using high speed incantation and only a single phrase without it. This is the spell she has practice the most with in her life.
❖ Mana Blast (C): Following the same principles of Destructive Ice, this is a spirit variant of it that is simply blasts of concentrated mana that is capable of blasting away other people. Additionally, this blast affects spirit creatures and the like. It is a single line, and thus it is one word with high speed incantation. While using divine mana, this spell has a divine attribute.
❖ Cloud of Destruction (B): This spell generates a large cloud that rains down concentrated mana energy on her opponents. It is destructive, but not as much as maelstrom. It also is only useful as a destructive ability and is not controllable at all, leaving Zarina as the only person incapable of being hurt. The cloud is actually quite small, covering about the length of five, standard houses. It is three lines normally, and one line with high-speed incantation.
❖ Water Manipulation (C+): This spell is a very simple water spell that allows the user to control the water around them and form it into a tsunami, whirlpool, or even a false hurricane. This spell can form various objects out of water that can be used to fight. This spell is always just a single word.
❖ Ice Manipulation (C+): This spell is a very simple ice spell that allows the controller to use ice around them to make weapons, freeze people, and attack others. This spell is always just a single word.
❖ Sigils of Destruction (B): By infusing certain magic sigils with an affinity, Zarina can cause these sigils to erupt with that element, inflicting massive damage on opponents that trigger them. The sigils are much like the teleportation, signets, only they glow different colors depending on the element associated. Blue is water, light blue is ice, white is spirit, and gold is infused with divine mana and a random element. Once triggered, the effect is a randomized attack that could simply be an explosion of the element, or maybe a concentrated attack such as an ice spike erupting from the ground. It will always be an attack, however, due to its status as evocation magic.
❖ Poseidon’s Passion (A+): Zarina’s strongest water spell, Poseidon’s Passion is very similar to the Blossoming Snow-Lotus. The difference, however, is that this spell will disperse completely once it is finished. Water is drawn from the ground, lakes, oceans, and magically generated to create a giant dome of water to entrap enemies in while leaving an air pocket for Zarina to stand in. Much like Snow-Lotus, bystanders can get caught in this attack as well. Once within the domain of water, it will start generating destructive spirals that can cut and maim even dragons, ripping all those trapped within it to shreds should they not be prepared for it. From the outside, it appears to be a giant, spiraling orb of water that resembles some strange, whirlpool-orb.

This spell lasts for four of the user’s posts and can be escaped if the ones trapped manage to fling themselves out of the water. The closer they get to the air bubble, however, the more destructive it becomes, effectively cutting them to ribbons if they attempt to approach Zarina while this spell is cast. The best option for it is to simply retreat outside of it and wait till it ends. Once ended, it will take an additional six posts before she can cast it once again. While casting this spell, she cannot cast any other spells, meaning that she is effectively out of the battle until four turns are over with. This spell is twelve lines and with high speed incantation it becomes three.
❖ Glacial Explosion (B): This spell allows Zarina to create multiple lines across the ground that erupt with powerful force, creating ice as they do. This ice is jagged and sharp, expanding out and cutting anything that they come into contact with as they grow out. Additionally, the momentum behind them is capable of tossing people many yards away, knocking even trolls as far as seven yards away. This spell is four lines and becomes one when spoken with high speed incantation.
❖ Orbs of Destruction (B+): This destruction magic takes the form of mana orbs that can be controlled and placed around a designated area. As long as they are sustained, they will last until the Mage falls unconscious. These orbs, despite seeming to act as light, will detonate at will or upon being touched by the enemy, creating a massive explosion of mana that can eradicate low level enemies with ease. This is defensive-type destruction magic, usually set up before a battle or while someone is watching for enemies. The concussive force of the blasts is immense, capable of throwing back even ogres. This spell is an eight line spell, and it is a two line spell with high speed incantation.
❖ Final Soul (A+): Final Soul is the strongest spirit-based evocation magic that Zarina possesses. By using the affinity of spirits, she creates a massive amount of condensed mana that sucks in mana around it in an attempt to sustain itself. This essentially creates a black-hole-type phenomenon with a single point of energy that pulls every bit of energy within the area into it to fuel itself. The result, however, is merely the continued condensing of more and more energy as the black hole fuels itself. Whatever creatures that are unfortunate to find themselves sucked into this palm-sized black hole will find themselves exposed to pure, unfiltered and super-condensed mana. The effect is that it will burn and disintegrate them from the exposure to pure, raw soul energy. The effect it has on the outside world is that it creates gigantic winds that pull enemies in her direction and into the black hole. This has its greatest effect on flying enemies that make use of the sky.

The secondary, effect, however, is the eventual collapse of the black hole. Once it has consumed too much energy, it will collapse in on itself and explode with immense force, unleashing the raw energy upon all those nearby. Zarina, however, is capable of directing the energy in a specific direction. This results in a large beam of energy that shoots for from her palm capable of eradicating most things from sheer exposure to raw mana. This spell lasts for three posts before the explosion occurs, blasting the beam on the fourth turn. It is a twelve line spell that is shortened to three lines with high speed incantation.
❖ Spirit Reversion (C): This spell allows Zarina to eradicate spirits by using the opposite charge of their energy to disperse their mana. This only works on beings composed of only spiritual energy and it essentially erases them, turning them back into the mana that they were born from. This spells requires a single word to be uttered at any given time.
❖ Icicle (C): Zarina uses this spell to create sharp icicles capable of slashing flesh. These icicles vary in size, being the size of small knives to the size of great swords. It depends on how much mana she uses to form the icicles themselves. This spell only needs a single words to be uttered at any given time.
❖ Water Whips (C): Zarina uses this spell to create tendrils of water that will whip around and slash at her enemies should they get within range of her. She can create a maximum of eight tendrils. The whips crack with enough force to knock back most medium-sized creatures. She can also combine them to make them larger and more powerful. This spell requires a single word to be uttered at any given time.
❖ Song of Destruction (C): Zarina uses this spell to combine her voice with mana, allowing her to unleash devastating sound waves that can cause hearing loss and disorient her enemies. The sound of her voice, while beautiful, is incredibly harmful to those who hear it, causing them immense pain. This spell only requires a single word to be uttered at any given time. It lasts three posts and combines with her natural ability to cast spells, allowing her casting to be harmful for others to hear.
❖ Reverberate (D): This spell grants Zarina the ability to cause things to shake and shatter with her voice. It turns her voice into a weapon capable of destroying various objects that she so desire. It can be cast with a single word at any given time.
❖ Rebuke Undead (C): This spell allows Zarina to obliterate an undead creature with evocation magic. She does this by casting mana over it with a spirit affinity, driving the spirit from the body and obliterating from exposure to raw mana. This has no effect on anything that is living. It can be cast with a single word at any given time.
❖ Mana Disc (C): This is a simple spell that creates a disc of pure mana. It is capable of being thrown great distances and is guided by the user’s will, making it incredibly accurate. It has a maximum distance of two hundred feet. It will cut through anything that comes into contact with it and can explode on command. This spell can be cast with a single word at any given time.
❖ Water of Disintegration (B): This spell creates a large orb of water that is capable of obliterating all those trapped within it. Once inside the orb, it will begin dissolving all those trapped in it until there is nothing left. With enough force, a person can break out of the orb of water. Rather than boiling someone alive or anything like that, it acts more like an acid that eats away at the layers of skin. If exposed to the water for more than two posts, it will begin slowly killing whoever is in it until ten posts comes to pass. At that point, they will have been completely disintegrated. This spell takes four lines to cast and one with high speed incantation.
Unison: Divine Evocation Spells
❖ Song of Divinity (A): The Song of Divinity is a high-powered spell that combines divinity magic with spirit evocations magic. Much like Song of Destruction, it combines mana with the voice of Zarina, however, it also amplifies it with the power of divinity to extreme levels. While the song will have the usual effect it normally has, it is louder, stronger, and capable of bringing people to their knees. Additionally, her voice is capable of obliterating the demonic and the undead if they listen to her for too long. Every turn they spend fighting her while she is using this spell, they take massive divine damage and hearing damage. Necromancy is dispelled by this ability as well, the divine sound waves disrupting the dark magic that is keeping them together. All undead and demonic creatures must flee from her within four posts or face permanent damage from the attack. Her voice also carries divine energy, meaning the soundwaves themselves are harmful. As such, simply blocking out the noise will only protect them from hearing damage, as the waves will still bounce off of them and inflict divine damage.

As with the Song of Destruction, this spell can be combined with her natural ability to use spells, allowing her to harm others as she casts spells. The effects of this spell last for ten posts, and the longer people are exposed to it the more likely they are to suffer greater hearing damage. At the end of ten posts, however, the severe drawback is that she loses her voice for an entire day, forcing her to mime her spells from then on out and spend the full time casting them. This also means that she is incapable of using her vocal destruction spells, as she does not have a voice anymore. Additionally, no one is safe from this attack, causing her allies to become damaged as well if they do not have a way to block out the noise.

This spell takes 32 lines to cast normally, and with high speed incantation it is a total of eight lines.
❖ Divine Sphere (A): The Divine Sphere is a divine water evocation spell capable of immense destruction. Imbuing the water spell with divine mana, this spell form a gigantic, spiraling orb of water much like Poseidon’s Passion. Instead, however, it hovers in the air above everyone, looming over them with its destructive presence. If it is dropped on the ground, it will begin to tear away at everything below, spiraling and tearing away at all those who happened to get caught up in its fall. Additionally, it asks as a whirlpool as it unravels on the ground, continuing to spiral and cut into people as it sucks them towards the center of it for maximum damage. The surrounding area is also pulled into the orb’s destructive effects, meaning that those caught within have to deal with debris and other hazards spiraling around in the deathly whirlpool’s grasp.

As the water is imbued with divine properties, any undead or demonic creatures caught in the attack will be assaulted by divine damage as well as the cutting attacks the spell normally causes. Unless they escape from it, the water will weaken their bodies to the point that they will be cut to ribbons before they ever reach the center of the unraveling whirlpool. Additionally, this soaks the area in divine water, preventing any undead or demonic creatures from touching the ground that any of the water touched. This means that, unless the creatures can fly, they cannot approach Zarina once this spell has been used. The water will dissipate after a day or so, unless it happens to rain, much like regular water.

This spell does not differentiate friend from foe and will attack them both alike. Additionally, to cast this spell, Zarina has to speak 64 lines. With high speed incantation, this is shortened to sixteen lines.
❖ Wrath of Zaphir (A+): Combining spirit evocation and divination magic, this spell creates hundreds of thousands of spheres of energy around the battlefield composed of hyper-condensed divine mana. Just one of these orbs is capable of destroying an entire room in a building, outright obliterating anything within it. The concussive force behind them is also incredible, capable of knocking back even adult dragons with their explosive power. Additionally, the orbs can be combined to form bigger and bigger orbs, adding onto the explosive power of each individual orb.

This attack is only somewhat controllable. While Zarina can order which orbs are used, she can only command them to fall to the ground in a singular path and smite whatever is at the end of that path. As such, she cannot have it follow anyone around and hit them based on her will. She has to calculate where her enemy is going to be and attack them accordingly. If those calculations are correct, however, the orbs have the ability to take down high-level creatures. Undead and demonic enemies are obliterated by the orbs, taking twice as much damage as other beings. Additionally, the residual mana left over from their explosion acts as a deterrent, causing pain for any demonic or undead creatures that approach it.

This spell lasts until all of the orbs have been fired towards her enemies. Additionally, this spell requires the user to speak 96 lines to use it. With high speed incantation, the amount becomes 24 lines to cast the spell.
❖ White End (S): White end is Zarina’s strongest spell physically. The only reason it is not her greatest spell is because of the versatility of Blossoming Snow-Lotus, the spell being highly destructive and making her attacks more destructive. White End, however, will obliterate anything caught in it with an icy winter. The spell generates a frost that is capable of instantly freezing all those caught within it. This spell starts at where Zarina is standing and then begins to spread out around her at a rapid pace due to the divine mana infused within it. The ground, trees, enemies, it does not matter what is around her, this spell will instantly freeze it and move on like a living being, wanting nothing more than to expand and expand until it has consumed everything. This spell does not pierce, nor does it bludgeon enemies. Instead, it murders them by freezing them solid and shatters them.

Additionally, due to the divine properties of this spell, the ice that it creates will never melt unless met with divine fire or equal or higher caliber. Even then, those that are frozen by this spell or more likely to die than be revived from being thawed out by the fire, due to needing to be unfrozen in one instance, or at least within one minute. In addition, anyone who is touched after they have been frozen have a fifty percent chance of being cracked instantly, breaking apart and dying from the touch. The land that this spell affects will not recover by natural means either. Divine warmth would need to spread out across whatever it touched, and then the land would have to be reborn, the grass replanted, and trees revived. Essentially, it brings a wintery end to every last living thing within its boundaries.

This spell is the ultimate attack spell of Zarina, and combined with her Blossoming Snow-Lotus can obliterate an entire village if she used them in conjunction. As such, this spell has the greatest casting time of all of her spells. It takes a full 128 lines to cast this spell. With high speed incantation, it still takes a full 32 lines to be able to cast this spell, making it very difficult to cast it in battle, nearly impossible. Additionally, the spell’s ice extends twenty feet per post, the post it being cast generating ice twenty feet around her instantly.

Strengths:
✔ Gorgon Eye: Zarina’s right eye holds the ability to turn anyone who gazes into it to stone, petrifying them slowly and agonizingly. The petrification starts from the eye or eyes that gaze into hers, instantly blinding them. Once the petrification starts it does not stop, even if they look away from her, as the effects have already begun, and there is no way to undue the curse without a full-gorgon’s blood. Even then, it takes high-level magic to break the curse using the blood, meaning that a great mage is required to revive the person. Her possession of it grants her immunity to the effects of other Gorgons’ eyes.
✔ Basilisk Eye: Zarina’s left eye holds the ability to kill all of those that gaze into it directly or indirectly. Its mere reflection has the capability of destroying a person’s nervous system and shutting down all of their body functions, giving them instantaneous death. It can kill anything, even inanimate objects so long as it has some optical function and power source. Not even golems can live through direct eye contact. The eye also grants her immunity from its deadly effects and the effects of other Basilisk eyes.
✔ Her age has allowed her to master many spells and develop a strong affinity with Zaphir.
✔ She has a considerable amount of mana due to being born from two powerful creatures known for their magical prowess.
✔ She has an affinity towards ice due to her extreme exposure to her ice magic. This has gifted her a resistance to it to the point that she is nearly immune, only magical ice being able to affect her. Additionally, even magical ice is weakened.

✘ She is sometimes distracted by particularly beautiful music. This is mostly outside of battle as the danger of dying is more distracting than music. However, it can cause her to take extra time to cast a spell.
✘ She is not good at making allies due to her status and channeling Zaphir.
✘ Hawks and other birds are always trying to fight her due to her connection to Zaphir.
✘ She is incapable of fighting for the most part. She can turn into her snake form and throw people around but she is physically very weak. She simply has mass on her side.
✘ Most of her “fighting” is standing around and flinging highly destructive spells around, possibly hurting friends and foes.
✘ She is generally lazy, and in a warm environment will get groggy much quicker than normal.

Personality:
❖ Generally, one could say that Zarina is a rather friendly person that seems to be quite passionate about what she wants from the world. She does not give off the chipper attitude one might except from her appearance, and instead she has the attitude of a very conniving creature. She seems secretive and skulks around, watching people from the shadows and merely observing large groups of adventurers. Now, some people might mistake this sort of attitude for some sort of shy personality, yet that is not the case at all. No, she is like a creature that stalks and watches its prey, learns its movements, and then moves in for the kill when they are least expecting it. Regardless of whether people are her allies or not, she observes habits that they have and their attitudes, silently judging all those before her. This is so she can determine whether or not it is worth her time to associate with those people or not. Irrational people, frustrating people, and those that seem to be against the idea of more monstrous humanoids are among people that she watches out for.

Now, this fake shy personality may be her most dominant trait of who she is, but that is not the only part about her that makes up her personality. She is, in the shortest possible explanation, a very lazy person. She is a slob that lays around, naps, and tries her best to convince others to do everything for her instead of trying to do anything herself. Getting food, going on adventures, or even casting her own spells seem like a lot of work for the “young” woman, and she would rather spend her time trying to enjoy every possible second in the most leisurely way possible. This usually involves her curling up near some sort of cold, icy structure and staying there for hours, sometimes even days. This very lazy attitude usually leads people to pass her off as some shy, adorable girl that only wants to be taken care of by all the people around her. In reality, however, this is one of the many manipulative aspects to her personality that she uses to her advantage.

Zarina is not above using her looks or her attitude to her advantage, often using them in combination to get most people to do what she wants them to do. After all, if you have the capabilities to manipulate people, then that is probably what you should do, right? This manipulative aspect of her has led many intelligent people to come to dislike her greatly, viewing her as a greedy, conniving little snake that is extremely ungrateful for everything that she has. While this may hold some truth, Zarina finds those types of people to be hypocritical. After all, they use their intelligence to manipulate people into believing their ideas and theories to pass off their own agendas. She merely uses what attributes were bestowed to her upon birth to gain the proper advantage due to her. If they can manipulate people into listening and it be alright, then she can manipulate them into doing and it be perfectly fine. That is the logic that she lives by. It is not immoral to her, simply a fact of life that gives her advantage.

Additionally, Zarina is also a glutton in every sense of the word. If there is some type of food nearby that she can eat, then she is going to try her best to procure and eat that food as best she can. If a person puts a basket of fruit in front of her and says to have as much as she would like, then they would find themselves with an empty basket without even the seeds of the fruit. She is so gluttonous that she swallows her food whole, trying to save as much time as possible before she starts shoveling more food into her. While this usually does not prove to be too detrimental to her in society, she has been known to get into trouble with one food in particular. Eggs. Her natural snake instinct kicks in whenever she is around eggs and she cannot help herself. Whatever the egg, whatever the creature that made the egg, she will try to eat it, and if she can help it she will eat it whole. Cooked, uncooked, no egg is safe from her wrath! She will consume them regardless of how much danger it puts her in, with only the most life-threatening of situations preventing her from doing so. This has caused her to get into tremendous trouble with those around her, often getting scolded for this bad habit that she has. Even if she is caught in the act of eating the egg, she will simply look at the person who has caught her for a few seconds before slowly going back to consuming the delicious food.

Aside from delicious food, there are other quirks and aspects to her personality. She is revolted by the sight of birds and bird-like creatures. Dragons are fine… but harpies are not. Anything bird-like in any way is met with hatred and disgust by the woman, wanting nothing to do with them. Often, she finds herself in the corner of a room glaring at the from behind a chair or something of similar comedic effect. Their very presence sets off her natural instinct to start a fight with them, as it is only natural for birds and snakes to dislike one another. Because of her dislike of birds, she has many problems with things like messenger birds and such. Whenever she tries to use one, it will often attack her and start trying to claw her head, causing her to run around trying to rid herself of the horror. Now, she has grown used to having snakes swallow all of her messages and then carry them to people she needs to contact. Any activity that involves birds, she has found some strange way of replacing them so as to partake in that activity without their use.

Her personality also allows for a lot of nonsense, preferring the comedic person over the overly-serious type of people. After all, the more serious someone is the less likely they are to be manipulated into doing whatever she wants. Comedic people also often go with her antics to try and have a good laugh, allowing her to both enjoy herself and get whatever she needs done. The less serious person, the better. Although, she also does not trust comedic people with anything and will not partner with them outside the kingdom. She views their goofing off as more likely to get them killed, especially with her using high-powered spells that require them to be paying attention to the battlefield constantly. Goofing off will only result in their imminent death, most likely by her own hand. As such, adventuring is the only time that she puts up with the nature of serious people, viewing them as necessary to get what she wants accomplished. Otherwise, she will try her best to keep those of a serious nature far from her circle of friends. In addition, she finds that serious people are more likely to reprimand her for her silly antics involving eggs and the like. As such, she avoids them so that she has a greater chance of eating them without any sort of repercussions.

Zarina, however, has been slightly traumatized by her past, living a sort of half-conscious life most of the time. A lot of her comedic attitude serves as a sort of façade to hide all the pain that she is suffering from the loss of her mother. Having watched the woman being butchered and then force-fed her body so that she could grow even stronger, she never fully recovered from the after-effects of cannibalizing. While she is still fully capable of using her magic and powers, she often finds herself staring blankly at night, simply looking at the stars she used to gaze at with her mother when she was a child. Just the thought of what she was forced to do sends her into a blind rage, thrashing about in agony. She feels entirely responsible for the situation despite being unable to do anything to stop it. This pain and agony has followed her for over fifty years, never healing. The wound has merely been deepening more and more over time.

In short, she is a very sneaky individual that, while she is somewhat friendly, is not the most trustworthy companion to be had. She observes people’s weaknesses and makes sure to use whatever she can to her advantage whenever she has to end up fighting them. Food is her absolutely weakness and probably the best way to get into her good graces. A humorous person is also likely to make friends with her a lot easier than someone who is solely focused on exploring or their work. If a person cannot be manipulated at all then she usually tries her best to minimize her interactions with them as best she can. Overall, however, she is not that bad of a person. She has simply been hurt deeply by the tragedies of her past and is trying to move forward now. That, however, is a long process that may take quite a bit of time, especially if the last fifty or so years have yet to do so.

History:
❖ Zarina’s existence is a very unnatural phenomenon. It involved a gorgon, her mother, having her eggs fertilized by a basilisk in an attempt to create the ultimate snake being to become the vessel of Zaphir, so that his magic could influence the world. As such, her mother was taken by a group of Mages from their kingdom and force to allow them to create such a being. The result was Zarina, a girl who was named “The Alchemic Vessel” to symbolize her chimeric nature and the fact she would be Zaphir’s vessel. Zarina maintained both the strengths of her parents, the ability to turn those she stares at to stone and to kill all those who gazed upon her eyes. As such, the priests bound her eyes and would not let her see the light of day until she gained the ability to seal them. This was done with a magical device that attached itself to her face, covering her eyes entirely and not allowing any light to reach them.

For the first fifteen years of her life, Zarina lived in absolute darkness, unable to see anything or find beauty in the world. The only vague idea she had of what things looked like was more like feeling. She knew the shape that things felt like with her hands, and as such she had no concept of colors or even what shapes were. Her mother tried her best to take care of her like this, helping her around and trying her best to feed the poor girl so that she would not suffer as much as the Mages were making her. She came to form a very affectionate bond with her mother, seeing her as someone that she could rely on. In a world where everything was dark and there was only one kind person in your life, Zarina needed someone to cling to and hold her hand as she tried her best to be the Mage that she was expected to be. By the time she had reached the age of fifteen, Zarina was finally capable of performing the sealing spell needed to keep her eyes from harming those around her.

Once she performed the spell, the device was unbound from her face and she was able to see the beauty of the world for the first time. Excited, she embraced her mother whom she could finally see for the first time in her life. The two of them were so alike, almost like twins, with her mother being merely a bit older than her. At this point in her life, she was at her happiest. There was nothing in the world that could bring her down. She had mastered divine magic, and she was just starting to learn her evocation spells. After this, however, her mother saw no need to baby her anymore. Since she could see and she could feed herself, she was expected to do many things that she saw as bonding on her own. Slowly, the relationship between her and her mother became strained, the pampered girl expecting to be treated like she always was. This was emphasized by their constant fighting and frustrations with one another. She needed to grow up, and her mother was trying to make a point of that. One needs to stand on their own feet.

After three years had passed, the relationship with her mother had lessened considerably, the two merely treating each other as friends and family rather than the extremely close relationship they had. Unfortunately, that relationship was also about to come to an end. The Mages had deemed her ready to take on Zaphir and bring the deity into the world once more. They, however, needed to strengthen her beyond measure for her body to withstand the mental strain of projecting Zaphir. As such, they sought to traumatize her to the point that she broke, and then they would fix her mind and make her stronger than ever before. This, however, backfired. The group of Mages slaughtered her mother in front of her and then force fed the poor girl her mother’s body. This mentally broke the girl, causing her extreme emotional trauma. What occurred, however, was a phenomenon that the Mages had not expected. The ones that had been with her performing this cruel ritual, were obliterated by the girl casting divine evocation magic, destroying the entire building that they were in. In reality, however, it was Zaphir that used her body to cast the magic and prevent them from damaging her beyond repair.

From that point on, Zarina was living a half-life, simply moving from place to place and living as best she could. Finding nothing but disappointment in the world, she slowly began to practice her evocation magic dedicatedly. She started spending days on end working on the destruction magic, wanting nothing more than to obliterate everything around her and take revenge for what had happened to her mother… what they did to her. Sure, they were dead, but she had not been aware of their death. Zaphir was controlling her at the time, and when she awoke they were gone, having been disintegrated. Her pain, in her mind, would never be ended, and her mother would never be avenged. As such, she practiced and practiced her evocation magic, perfecting it to levels beyond what had been expected of her when she was with the group of Mages. In fact, by the time she reached forty, she was an exceptional Mage that was beyond all of her peers, drawing attention from people throughout her kingdom.

It was then that people were sent to collect her and force her to take on a Knight and fight for her kingdom. That was the way of her people, to force those with strength to bend to the will of rulers and fight for them. Zarina, however, did not want any part of it. By that time, she had finished her training and was merely refining her skills to lower the casting time on her abilities. When she was met with the soldiers that had been assigned to bring her back, she merely met them with a smile and began chanting something. The soldiers, unware of what she was doing, tried to approach the woman, wanting to bring her back by force if needed. What she gave them, however, was a very icy death. Her first casting of White End caused an entire section of the kingdom she was from to be covered in eternal ice, never to be melted, and the soldiers were destined to be frozen there forever until someone of similar strength freed them from their icy slumber. When more soldiers were sent to investigate, they realized that they had lost the hybrid forever.

Over the next couple hundred years, Zarina drifted from place to place throughout the deserts of her kingdom, trying her best to survive. What she discovered, however, was that she had been practicing her ice magic too much, having grown too accustomed to its cold nature. The heat was too much for her, and soon she found herself needed to move towards colder and colder climates to feel more comfortable. Her body was slowly becoming less and less compatible with heat, making her life very difficult in the desert-filled kingdom that she had been born in. It was sad but there was no way she could continue living her life there without some sort of complications arising for her. Every kingdom she visited filled her with more and more depression, finding herself dissatisfied with the climate and the people. It did not help that she was being constantly hunted down by her own countrymen. Even through new generations, she remained a target for their kingdom to attempt to eliminate for some odd reason. Their grudge seemed to be as eternal as the fate those soldiers had been punished with.

Before she realized it, she had ended up in an icy kingdom that was filled with nothing but cold and snow. It was a perfect place for her to exist, to live without being bothered by the people of her kingdom. Despite this, she had been followed across the kingdoms, soldiers being forced to try and apprehend her for her crimes against the kingdom. Having wiped out a platoon of soldiers with the first casting of White End, it was only natural that she was seen as an enemy of their kingdom. Luckily, the creatures of the snow kingdom seemed to be far too formidable for ordinary soldiers, the men constantly being turned away by more and more frightening creatures. The further they journeyed into the land, the more of them that died by the hands of immensely powerful creatures. Not to mention how hazardous the mountainous region seemed to be, making it very difficult for them to navigate it. The severe climate difference was also a factor that limited their progression in obtaining her. Zarina, however, merely traveled further and further into the mountainous Yuki no Okoku so as to prevent them from finding her.

The last ten years have been her living in a cottage near one of the villages within Yuki no Okoku, having made a name for herself as a cute girl capable of defeating frighteningly powerful creatures. With so many years of magical training and natural ability under her belt, she managed to impress many of the people within the kingdom. As an outsider, however, she was mostly shunned by them on a personal level. No one wanted to be involved with the scalely woman. Even though she used a mostly humanoid appearance, and no matter what kind of camouflage she used, they would not accept her into their kingdom. Either way, she was still able to manipulate many people that took pity on her, getting free food and supplies from many of them. A lot of people cooked for her and cleaned up her house on the outskirts of town, wanting to take care of the young woman that was living on her own. Despite her appearance, no one questioned why she was living on her own either, simply taking care of whom they saw to be a pitiable young woman.

Recently, Zarina has been using her spells to obliterate dangerous creatures that have been edging closer and closer to the cities. While she would normally stay out of their affairs, this has proven to be advantageous for her. Due to her participation, she has been consistently rewarded for her efforts to keep the kingdom she is now living in safe. Her spells, however, are not the most effective in Yuki no Okoku, yet their sheer power and force is enough to make up for that. Still, even she has her limits, and she often finds herself meeting them whenever she tries to protect a village. She has to have adventurers stall for her while she casts her spells, else she will quickly be slain by creatures on the battlefield. Having to use less powerful spells has also caused her to need people to constantly protect her while she pummels creatures with high-powered spells. Hopefully, she will be able to find some sort of existence for herself where she can allow people to know how powerful she can truly be without fear of being kidnapped for it.

❖ She generally wears a pair of white pants and a pink top. Her shoes are pink as well to match the top and her socks are white. She has various golden bracelets and necklaces from her homeland that she wears as well.
❖ Sometimes she wears more traditional clothes from her homeland, which include veils, more revealing tops, and long skirts. This is generally to deal with the heat.

❖ Her heterochromia is natural. Despite her ability to correct it, she refused to do so.

Well, I'm just going to write a bunch of stuff and see how well this works in the format that I chose. Hopefully it's going to look like something and my character's post style will look half-decent. Otherwise I'm going to look like a fool making this long-winded thing and trying to seem cool with an intricate post style. Hopefully that does not happen. All I have to do though is make it to a full paragraph though, that way I know exactly what this will look like. Of course, this paragraph has nothing to do with my character and reading it will have no benefit towards whoever might be looking at the posting style right now. So for those of you who have taken the time to read through this entire thing in an attempt to try to gain some sort of knowledge about my character that was not written on her profile, then you will be very poorly rewarded. Natural Abilities:

뉴클리어 (My Curse O' Such Misfortune) - Born from his own mentality, activated by certain triggers, Kim is capable of drastically increasing his own Physical Strength, Speed, and Durability. When this is activated Kim's skin starts to glow and radiate heat, this level of heat can also act as a protection against basic un-enhanced weaponry once they come into contact, easily rendering them ineffective by just downright liquifying them. This also affects his surrounding as it causes heat waves, unfortunately, this level of hit is incapable of cause damage to those outside of a meter range, those within and lacking any defensive ability will simply be harmed with the harsh heat.

불지옥 (My Passion Burns) - Presumably born through his childhood, Kim's own abilities provided him the opportunity to consume flames as a means to recover both Stamina and Heal his own wound to the point that even limbs can be regenerated if the flame is of equal ranking to his ability. Unfortunately, Kim is incapable of consuming the flames that come from more than a single person, furthermore, he is also incapable of consuming flames stronger than the ranking of his ability.

저그린느 (Away With You) - Seemingly developed after his traumatic experience, forged sharper by his own instability. Passively Kim produces a fluctuating level of malice and bloodlust, on the passive level this only has the potential to cause hesitation and anxiety to others, friends and foes alike. By establishing direct eye-contact with another, the level of intensity immensely increases to the point that vivid and gruesome illusion brought by Kim's own psychological mind induces, bathed in his own bloodlust they're capable of potentially causing others to quiver in fear or downright collapse from hyperventilation, unfortunately this isn't capable of killing a target but it can induce temporary or permanent psychological trauma such as PTSD upon victims.

Strengths:

Personality:
❖ Kim lacks individuality and even more, an effective personality, years upon years of constant experimentation brought by his former Mage was drastically shattered what made him remotely "Humane" or "Sane". As it stands, Kim lacks a distinctive personality and the ability to connect or communicate with other individuals, quite literally he has become nothing more than a Shield and Sword to be wielded or disposed of, without the ability to hear he realize on sights and sign language to respond to understand orders provided, yet he will not speak through his own mouth as he has forgotten how to properly form words. Kim is extremely reserve, keeping himself to the point that he can be seen constantly hugging his sword to his chest. Mentally speaking, Kim is unstable, unsure, and extremely prone to violent outburst, these seemed to be mitigated by the medication.

History:
"It's cutting deep, stay still you Rat" It was cutting deep, ears stung, another lie the anesthetic was never administered.... But what pain could he feel now? His body was in tattered, wounds that were barely treated and half-assed bandages that covered his wounds. Another experiment brought another failure, she never liked the aesthetic appearance of Elves, be it their ears or their hair, they just weren't human enough for her. Was it punishment that she went on to replace his former lengthy ears? The stitches still stung but he couldn't hear, her words were inaudible and irritation showed whenever he tried to explain his lack of audio sensory. A belt, a stick, whatever she can grasp she used to punish his lack of listening. His own voice was practically gone, what freedom did he have when he couldn't hear his own voice when he couldn't hear the birds sing from the window of his cage.

What he was before was gone, his once smooth indigo hair was dyed black, his ears replaced with smaller more "humane" ears. What more could be lost at this point, he's become dependent on her for survival in terms of home and medication. He couldn't run away, he was indeed a Rat trapped by a Cat, yet what more could she do to him at this point? She had taken his identity, his voice, his mind, nothing remained but a vessel used for violence and crime. At a point, what little of sanity remained was gone as she dug into his chest. He couldn't hear his own voice but the pain was more intense than anything he's ever felt, the heat boiled his blood immensely. Regaining consciousness he was left with the sight of blood and scattered limbs, truly now he was alone.
