Shun immediately set his eyes upon the female who entered into the room now, calling the Holy Falah’d her father and he smirked with intrigue. The entire family is here… but my plan won’t work… damn Averus… Takera… if they were here, my plan would work without a hitch… however... His eyes glanced behind his shoulder over to the water pouring down into the pit, coming up with an idea. He knew that they would most likely be taken away and tortured, all three of them who were basically left. He was about to leap back away from the guards who started to approach him and stopped when the doors opened once more. He focused on the the priests and soldiers, watching as they took their places. This seems a little too much for the interrogation of the three of us… He noticed the signal of Priest Hovus making them stand off to the side when a naked man was carried into the room by a group of soldiers. ”Interesting..”When the guards began to notice the water, Shun smirked a little to himself as he slid backwards just a bit to watch the entirety of the situation. He raised a brow at hearing ‘Hak’Vesh’ not entirely sure what the term meant, but he knew that must mean something for them… this solidified his thoughts when the grey skinned soldiers entered into the room with their weapons drawn at Shun, Nisha and Juugou. Shun immediately noticed the men were not alive who came upon them, but he didn’t seem phased by this due to further pressing matters that seemed to happen. He was about to bring further water into the room when he watched Juugou drop to the ground. What is he doing… is he a shinobi? He did not notice the seals he was weaving, but he looked over to see a wall of gel rise up and just seemed to nod. He began to wave a few seals together in his coat to conceal them when he looked over to Nisha and a flash of light expelled from the gel wall. ”Nisha! Head for the leftmost waterfall behind us… we can escape through there.. And uh… the other guy! You can come too!” Shun cocked a leg back, bringing one of his arms to the back of his boots and unhitched a hidden compartment as he withdrew a single senbon from it. ”Oh, do I hope this works…” Shun used the water at his feet as he weave a few signs together, continuing on his progression from before in order to propel himself to the side quickly. In this single motion he brought his right hand over his shoulder and flung the senbon he held in it right for Leoman with all of his strength, pinpointing specifically near a hand. He figured that a man of his appearance would have immense strength and a single item such as a senbon could help him in some way. ”Leoman of the Flails! COME, NOW!” Shun spun around quickly, hoping that the other two had listened to him. He did not have time to care whether they had or not, his cover had been blown so he may as well not care any longer. He weaved a few signs together and propelled himself forward to the platform overhanging the pit below, running at a pace much faster than he had originally anticipated. Shun flexed the muscles in his legs and the moment he reached the edge of it he would leap forward straight for the entryway the water was spewing out of in order to escape. He was not sure if Leoman would follow after them, but he had hoped that he would. It was clear to him he would need as many allies as possible because at this point he was most likely considered a criminal and they would look to hunt them down and either arrest or kill them. ”I suppose things could be worse… He sighed to himself, landing onto the small ledge that led into the hole feeding water into the pit. He shot a glance downward into the pit, looking to see if there were anything else within it besides what he assumed were super heated coils to create the steam he had seen rising from it.

With placated stares, the men reach down for their fallen weapons with their other hand.
With the moment of freedom, the rebel general rises to his feet and rolls his shoulders and neck, the sounds of the joints popping lost in the commotion happening around him. Standing in place he continues to stare up at the Holy Falah'd. The grin is gone. He says something but it is drowned out by the shouting and screaming in the court...

The gel slows down the Lifeless Soldiers and completely stops their movements. The several of the Holy Soldiers have begun to rush to the location of Juugo, Nisha and Shun, their blades already drawn. The guards that were standing closest to them turn to attack but the flash of light stuns them for the moment allowing for the trio to escape immediate capture.
The jump is not a short one that Shun makes but manages to land at the edge mouth gushing water. The floor is wet and the water is forceful in it's greed to great the coals below. Shun can see behind the water there seems to be a passage, a strange light emits from it. When he looks down, he realizes the pit is much deeper than originally thought as only darkness and steam greats him, a deep glowing red waits far below.
~*~
'Oh seven...' The young man pleaded. 'Please let me see the end of this day.' The armor was all too large for his body, it's weight bared down on him and it took everything in him to not crumple inside of it. On a normal day it was too hot to wear the armor but wearing it inside of the trialroom with the blazing heat, it was too much to bear. 'Please, please, please... Holy Seven hear my cries, take me home to my wife. I am but your faithful servant, Hotep, and I serve your will but hear my pleas, take me home.' The young man was a new recruit to the Holy Army, he had worked hard to earn his promotion from the city guard and had spent every morning praying on the altars of the city for it.
It was supposed to be good training, to oversee the trial of Leoman of the Flails. He would be surrounded by several cadres of Holy Soldiers, Priests, Guards and - the man shuddered mentally - the Lifeless. Those abominations were soldiers and priests who had lost their lives in their professions but had harnessed such wonderful skills that they were given the honor of protecting the city even after death. They felt no pain, nor urges, they were emotionless husks that somehow maintained the extraordinary abilities that they had in life.
The Lifeless were the ones closest to Leoman and were charged with keeping him in control. It was safer to let those who could not die worry about that man. Or so it had been thought but as it became obvious there were Hak'Vesh in the trial room to assist the man, the need of the Holy Soldiers to step in was needed.
Thumping down to the level where the rebel prisoner was held, Hotep draws his sword and faces where the three foreigners were trying to escape. "HALT HEATHENS!" He howls before jumping to the side as a body drops beside him. The body is covered in the ornate armor of the Holy Army, a sword puncture wound can be seen on the back where blood flows out. Another body falls to the other side of Hotep, this one is headless.
The man turns slowly, fear gripping his heart, his every instinct telling him not to look... to run. For the first time he hears the clang of swords, the chanting, the screaming... the immense swirling power that had been drawn into the room.
The Lifeless had turned on the Holy Soldiers and Guards, hacking them to pieces as they ignored whatever wounds they received in return. Leoman stands alone, the body of the Holy Falah'd prone at his feet. What looks like a thin stick of metal protrudes for the man's eye, blood seeps from it like tears.
Screaming Hotep rushes forward, his sword raised to join the fray. He stops mid rush as several Lifeless turn to face him and begin to approach. His sword drops from his hand and he turns away rushing after the foreigners and leaping into the pit of coals. The power of the armor enhances his speed and strength, sending him soaring across the pit towards Shun and right into him, toppling them both over the edge.
Hotep finds himself hanging by the waist of Shun, Shun himself holding as tight as he can to the ledge his fingers slowly sliding off the wet stone...

Gaveth grabs Arina by the hand dragging her along with the young Priestess. "Come, come. Hajime, you too. We must escape before the blood bat-" His pleas are cut short as more Lifeless continue to pour into the room. With every one that is cut down, another two enter the room. The creatures had already reached the level where the priests and holy family had been watching the trial and were fighting with their last line of defense.
That defense had just fallen and a blade extends straight through the mouth of the old priest, blood drips freely off of it. The priestess shrieks but the blade slices clean through the side of the dead priest's head and cuts her down in a single motion. The dark eyes turn to fall on Arina as the creature prepares to strike her down as well.
Before it can a large body throws itself into it, taking the creature down as gauntlet fists fall on it until it is motionless. "Parth, go." The man grunts, rising from the destroyed Lifeless, his gaze falls squarely on Leoman. Beside Arina stands Aka'Parth, a gentle smile on his otherwise crying face. "Come... we must run." His voice trembles but is strong, he turns to push the throne where his father sat over. A stairwell descends into the darkness below. Stepping aside he points to the escape and calls for the priests to quickly escape.

Siri has fallen to her knees, her wails are drowned out by the battle going on around her but still she wails. Her hair shimmers violently as it shifts through various shades of red, black and purple. "NO! NO! NO!" She howls, beating her fist against the floor until their raw with blood and still she pounds. She turns her eyes to the body of her father and her cries renew. Her emotions pound powerfully through Kaito, the maelstrom of grief, regret and despair war with his own feelings and threaten to overwhelm him, dragging his consciousness to be one with Siri. If he doesn't fight it he'll find his mind melding with hers and his sense of self lost.

In mere seconds the peace and quiet of the trial room quickly took a change for the worst. The guards were quickly becoming overpowered by the lifeless, whom were thought to be allied. The trial room became a bloodbath, and Siri obviously wasn't taking it well. Her hair rapidly changed through a slew of darker colors, surely expressing her wild emotions. Yes the room was loud and no one could hear her wailing and screaming, but Kaito could feel it. His insides felt as though they were being ripped out, an overbearing powerful feeling of sadness began to consume him. Kaito felt everything that Siri was feeling, and it was terrible. The genin yelped as he slouched over for a moment leaning on Siri's chair trying to fight off these terrible emotions. The boy would close his eyes for a mere moment trying to find peace within himself. His heavy breathing began to lessen, and the incredible emotions soon weakened enough for him to begin thinking. "We've gotta get out of here before they try and kill her too. What the ******** is going on?" These words ran through his head, among all the craziness running through his body these thoughts were the only that were his own.
Kaito would now reopen his eyes, he'd now make a quick leap over to Siri. The genin took a knee beside the princess while stopping her arm from hitting the ground once again. "Siri.. Trust me when I say I know you're hurting, but we've gotta get out of here before something happens to you too!" Kaito tried to sound as sincere and calm as possible but having to scream for her to hear over the commotion probably didn't sound very reassuring. He really had no choice but to take things into his own hands at this point, she was hurting and Kaito understood why. At this moment he figured his best option was to just pick up the princess and run. Siri was in distraught and mentally probably wasn't all there.
Kaito would take things into his own hand, literally by sweeping her off the ground and throw her over his shoulder fireman style. There was surely no way he was escaping from the front entrance so he needed to find a secondary exit. Kaito would quickly scan the room as the princess continued grieving over his shoulder. Their only option seemed to be a hidden stairwell beneath the throne, although unknown to where the stairwell led to anywhere was better than where they were now. Moving swiftly, Kaito and his princess would make their way down the stairs which would soon lead them to the Holy Dungeons.

INDENTThings when from bad to worse over the course of seconds and Arina found her hand being tugged on by the older priest to whom she had been talking to earlier. She could feel the tired creeping through every part of her body but she tried not to be held back by such trivial things. Hajime… She heard the name barely as she witnessed the life of the old priest obliterated right before her very eyes. The blood splattered across her entire body; her face included. The young girl had already begun to panic and she knew this because it had taken her this long to realize that the lifeless humanoid creature had killed the young priestess in one fell swoop at the same time as her older male counterpart. She could feel the creature staring at her intensely. This was it – She was not going to get out of this alive. There was no way. Her body started to give out but she stood firm almost prepared to make a fight for her life. Then, the creature attacked and what little confidence Arina had from before had completely buckled. She threw her hands across her face protectively closing her eyes. After a few moments, there was nothing… waiting… waiting… “Parth, go.”INDENTThe voice was much deeper than any of the surrounding priests that had been nearby prior to the attack. Arina opened her eyes looking around to find that the creature had been taken care of by another. Beside her the Holy Son Aka’Parth beckoned their retreat revealing a stairwell which was hidden near the throne, he stood aside giving priority to the priests and other civilians within the room. The young girl looked towards the man named Hajime only briefly before making her way into the crowds of people pushing towards the singular viable escape at the moment. INDENTFollowing the crowd that weaved back and forth, she finally had reached the stairs. She looked towards the man who had assisted in saving her feeling guilty that she could do nothing but stand there like a fool and be rescued. She cursed her lack of preparedness but when she looked towards Aka’Parth, she could see pain from what she could only assume was from the death of his father but also strength. Despite the hurt which shown so clearly on his face, he was still acting in a very controlled and protective manner – He was acting like a person who truly cared about the people and their well being. She was sure that he would make a great leader when the time came after he was able to heal from this experience. INDENTArina quickly made her way down the first few steps before coming to halt. A few people cursed her before she realized that she had stopped the flow of traffic but she quickly moved over to the wall, so they could pass by her easily enough. The few who did not have something to say were either too concerned with saving their own lives or like the wailing princess who was carried past by her rather odd looking pet were too preoccupied to be bothered. The young girl could have just kept going but she stayed close waiting for the herd to thin out. When it seemed like everyone had moved along who could, the young girl held out her hand towards the young man with a sympathetic look. INDENT"We need to leave," Arina had been much too worried to leave him behind.

Juugou watched as his gel wall effectively stopped the undead soldiers and as the guards around Leoman dropped their swords at about the same time. The momentary lapse in security allowed the naked rebel leader to stand and stretch his body. Juugou turned to take a good look at who it was that had thrown the weapon. [To be edited] There was a flash of light that came from where Juugou had turned away from, and the shinobi called out to the girl and told her to go to the leftmost waterfall behind them. After a pause he invited Juugou to come along as well. Nisha... I may have seen or heard the name back at home somewhere... thought the young Aburame as he watched the stranger dash off while weaving seals. A moment later he was moving much faster. As chaos ensued around the trial room, the guy behind the Aburame called out to Leoman and threw what appeared to be a senbon. The metal needle would land near the naked man who would proceed to pick it up and barrel straight towards the high table where the royal family and the clergy congregated, instead of heeding the shinobi's call. What is he trying to do, make it seem like a jailbreak?! wondered Juugou as he got to his feet and dashed after the stranger. The undead soldiers were flooding into the room from the main entrance and the guards were everywhere, so this seemed like the best hope Juugou had for a successful escape. The other shinobi jumped across with little effort, but when Juugou got to see how large the gap was he stopped before getting to the edge. Below was a red glow and steam rose up. He had misjudged how big the inside of the citadel was upon first arriving in the room hours before. Juugou heard splashing behind him and figured it was Nisha, but unfortunately it was an armored guard that rushed past him and jumped after the stranger and crashed into him, knocking them both off. The stranger managed to grab on to the ledge but the armored man was clinging to his waist. If i don't do anything he will fall! Back tracking a bit so he could have more space to jump with a running start, Juugou dashed with all his strength and jumped, screaming as his feet left solid ground for the longest three seconds of his life. The young Aburame just managed to make it just to the left of where the stranger's fingers were.

Nisha looked around once more now that the area had broken into a full fight, with some time to use due to the flash she took the time to watch as the gray skinned people began to massacre the people around the room, as the gel held them off them for a moment, Nisha noticed Leoman standing in the chaos, he had caught her attention due to how calm he look, she saw him speak but couldn't hear his words clearly due to the noise of the room, she used her observation skills as a sensor ninja to read his lips and try and learn what he said. Using this moment and seeing that things were in chaos, Nisha made a sign with her hands and the veins around her eyes bulge a little and her iris and pupil turn white, and Nisha's range of vision increase far beyond what was normal and letting her take in more information, she took sometime to look at Leoman and see how he was doing, and to see into the Lifeless in order to gain some insight on how they were still moving and so 'Alive', as she weights the options she had available to her. 'Lets see, follow Nii Nii, try and get near Leoman, or just run'. Nisha weght the options in her mind, Shun option seemed the best long term with her knowledge, and gave her more ability moving forward, Leoman was likely the best combatant she could get close to out of everyone and seem like a calm in the middle of a storm at the moment, but she wasn't an ally to him so he might attack her, and just running seemed good, she could try to join with the others fleeing but this would mean she would be alone if anything happened going forward, she took a deep breath and look around another time. Thinking things over she signed and knew her best option was likely to go with Shun, as she look at it where he had gone and watch as though her enhanced sight she watch as some man with in ornate armour leaped after him, while Shun had made it the man caught him and pulled them to the edge, watching on as she got ready she saw Juugou make it to the other side. Taking a deep breath and preparing to run for the edge, knowing how large it was due to her enhanced sight, and the Lifeless beginning to see her and move in as they finished killing the others in the room. With a running start Nisha took off from her location, reach the edge and jumping with all her might, as she got there she truly grasp how far this really was and knew she wasn't going to make it, she just didn't have the strength to make it, her illness as a child had left her a little weaker then others, as she began to fall she did notice that she could grab this guard holding onto Shun, he was within her grasp, but could tell that she would unbalance Shun if she did that dragging all three of them down. ssAntonio Note: Knowing the danger Nisha will just fall. Edit, if I can, if not just tell me and I will add Nisha catching the Guard Hotep and dragging them down with me twisted Or maybe I can grab him and take him down giving Shun a +1 to getting up.

come play You may choose to not reach out and you will fall on your own. You may choose to grab onto Hotep and Shun, causing them to fall with you unless Den attempts to save all 3 of you. DenShazo You may now choose to decide to save Shun and Hotep or leave them and follow the path behind the water. Roll 1D10: Score of 7-10 you help him up. Score of 5-6 You Support Shun's weight and are stuck making sure he doesn't fall (+2 to Shun's Roll.). Score of 3-4 Shun slips through your grip and falls. Score of 1-2 You Fall with Shun. Juugou looked down at the stranger who was being weighed down by the guard. Their eyes met for a moment, and he could see the strained plea for help. It tore at his pride as a field medic in training, but he knew his limits. Juugou may have been agile but he was not physically strong. He knew that trying to help the man up would have a greater chance at failing than succeeding, and as a medic he had to save himself in the event that someone with a higher chance of being saved was still around. Movement from the other side of the gap caught his attention and he turned to see Niisha attempt the jump herself. However her trajectory would make her fall short of the ledge. "I'm sorry, but i cannot help you. Thanks for showing me the way and you good luck." With that said the young Aburame proceeded to walk away with a heavy conscience through the tunnel.

Nisha not wanting to drag the other down with her failure, Nisha caught herself from reaching out, falling into the pit down below, with her enhanced sight still active she had the ability to watch as things play out in the room as she falls. She watched as Juugou move onto the pathway further into the tunnel, and Shun pulling himself up, she case her attention over to the Lifeless as they floored into the room killing most of the people, and even took the time to study Leoman and the fallen Holy Falan'd as she fell further down. While falling Nisha feeling the heat as she falls. Shun held tightly onto the ledge for a long moment, staring up at Juugou. He could feel his grip start to loosen, his strength was giving out on him. There were a few options he could take... he could kick the man hanging from his waist off, which might give him enough strength to pull himself up or hope that the man who was on the ledge decided to assist him. The boy looked down at Hotep. "You had better hope we fall because if we do not.. I will hurt you, personally." That was probably the first time Shun allowed the darkness in his heart to manifest. It had been driven by the first appearance of Zarathos, Shun could feel something awaken in him besides his newfound bloodline when the wolfhound bit into his shoulder. Over time he had been able to suppress it, but given the situation he was in he had been more concerned with what was going on as opposed to keeping his more animialistic side under control. He watched Nisha leap out of the corner of his eye and miss the jump, but saw she did not attempt to hold onto them. He also knew that if she had all three of them were going to fall into the pit below. One of his hands slipped as he stared up at Juugou. "What are you waiting for!? He-- hey! Hey! Come ba---!!" It was in that moment that Shun felt the grip in his other hand start to waver as his fingers slipped and now both him along with Hotep were falling into the pit of darkness. Shun quickly thought of something, but he was not sure if his call would come fast enough. He figured it would be worth the chance at least. "Leoman! Help me!" Quickly he twisted his body around, one hang grabbing onto Hotep as he used him as sort of a barrier if his call had gone unanswered. He did not want to sacrifice the man due to the information he could obtain, but he would if it meant his own survival. Part of him had been curious about the pit the entire time he remained in the trial room, he wondered if anything else remained within the confines of darkness and super heated coils.

Quote: Roll 1D10 on your post. Should you roll a 7 or higher, you have done something to draw attention to yourself. Bishop Havarseth will immediately react to dispel the shadows that hide you. When you walk through the shadow you find yourself standing in the center of the trial room. The world around you is grayed out and cold, it gives you the strange sensation of being disconnected from it despite being right there. A heavy but gentle hand brings your attention to Kalam who looks and feels normal to you, an odd contrast to everything else around you. "Be very quiet... avoid touching anything." He whispers, his voice stern.
Looking down you notice that the floor was flooded with a reddish water. Looking closer you notice the water is mixed with blood... turning your eyes about you notice that the room was the site of a large battle... bodies of priests, guards and soldiers were strewn about. What remained of the Lifeless were dragging them in piles to the side.
Standing on the higher level was the Bishop Havarseth, he spoke in a low voice with Leoman who was currently picking through a litter of damaged clothing to see what could be worn. At their feet were the bodies of the Holy Falah'd Aka'Bashi and his eldest son, Aka'Sosan. Michio would recognize the latter as the man who had crushed his knees earlier.
Tapping the throne with Haikyo's dagger, Havarseth motioned for two Lifeless. In moments the chair was moved to reveal a passageway. The two Lifeless would quickly descend, another ten following behind them moments later, leaving close to seventy more in the room with Havarseth and Leoman.

Michio saw Aka'Sosan's dead body and a smile grew over his face. "Well, I didn't get to kill him, but this is just as satisfying." he whispered, then Kalam clamped a hand on his shoulder. He nodded to the man and stood still, watching the scene before him and awaiting Kalam's direction. He was the man in charge right now, and the army of dead-not-dead looking people looked like they would be a hell of a challenge if the were turned on the trio. Kalam would likely fare better, and with all of the blood on the floor, Michio could fuse his blood with the blood on the floor to help fuel his techniques, but he knew nothing of Haikyo's skills and though the man and he were only in a temporary alliance, he didn't want to do anything that could upset the Yomi further. He did, however, press his hands to his thighs and force blood to flow from his fingers and onto the floor in an attempt to mix it with the blood that coated the floor like a pond.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As Haikyo found himself standing in the middle of the court room he was shocked to see the carnage that was taking place. How was it that things had become so perilous so quickly? He looked around, and Kalam told them not to touch or disturb anything. The landscape around them looked pale and lifeless, as if there were a fog over it that he could see through, but he could not be seen through. They were invisible...but that didn't mean that they were invulnerable. Haikyo had been charging his chakra in his chakra organ this whole time, and as he was following behind Kalam, he looked up to the bishop, and his blood ran cold. All he wanted to do was take that god damn dagger...ram it between the b*****d's kidneys...he wondered if he could do it. If the surprise would be enough to catch him off guard.
"That Bishop b*****d up there...he's the one with my dagger. He has it in his hand! I need that blade!" Haikyo whispered, only hoping that Kalam had some sort of plan.
Quote: Roll 1D10 on your post. Should you roll a 7 or higher, you have done something to draw attention to yourself. Bishop Havarseth will immediately react to dispel the shadows that hide you. The smell of burning flesh had a choke hold on the room. Two dozen Lifeless were moving back and forth within the trial room to push the dead bodies into the coal pit below. Ten Lifeless stood in position at either entrance the remaining twenty-six held a defensive position around Leoman and the Bishop.
With a stern look, Kalam shushed Haikyo. Frowning his eyes flickered from one side of the room to the other, "We need those two dead... the problem is those lifeless will immediately attack us if we attack the bishop, and if he dies they will go into a rampage and will definitely kill us. However, it's impossible to destroy all those monsters, there's too many and they're more durable then when they were alive.
If we fail to take out the Bishop, we have to run and run fast. And if we succeed... we need to run faster. For this to happen, I need one of you to distract Leoman just long enough and the other to take out as many Lifeless as possible..." Kalam says, his eyes now resting on the Bishop as he awaits your answer.
Kalam spoke to the two young men and Michio nodded, then tapped Haikyo gently to get his attention. He pointed to Haikyo, then to Leoman. Due to Michio's abilities and the fact that he had just mixed his blood with the rest of the blood in the room, he was best suited to create a wall that would keep the lifeless ones from intercepting Kalam's attack. But Michio would not be able to keep both the lifeless and Leoman from stopping them, so while he dealt with the crowd, Haikyo would have to deal with the one man. He looked to Kalam and tapped him gently on the shoulder, then pointed to himself, then to the lifeless. "On your go." he mouthed, then went back to mixing more of his blood with the blood on the ground.
