Shi tilted his head to the side, "What are you sorry for? You didn't do anything wrong, I just tripped. It was an accident, simple as that... and, besides, I'm a free bleeder anyway. I do this all the time..."
Shizuka's ear twitched a bit irratibly, but it hurt less now. He was glad; he hated pain. "Where did you learn to dress wounds like that, Enju?" Shi asked curiously. "You did a very good job. Mother's dressings usually fall off in no time..."
Shi motioned toward the water, "Aren't you going to join me again? You can keep an eye on my ear for me and tell me whether or not the bleeding stops... erm... how does it look so far?"

Enju gave a weak smile, slightly relieved that he wasn't angry with him. He grinned and followed Shizuka into the water again.
"I have to dress my own wounds. My mother or his Gehaka's don't really..do that kind of stuff."
He chuckled, dipping his lips under water to make bubbles. He did as Shi asked, keeping his attention carefully focused on his ear. The bleeding seemed to have stopped, some blood had soaked through but it seemed fine now. The herb he had use were minty smelling and bitter but still worked well.
Enju swam over, placing a hand lightly on his shoulder to get a better look at it. He grinned and gave his ear a light good-natured lick before dropping back under the water and resurfacing to slick his coal black hair back of his face.

Shizuka let the warm water relax him again and was glad that Enju didn't decide to abandon him and let him drown. Any lesser Gehaka probably would have - it'd be less competition for any remaining Hakas. (HA! As if Shi was competition.)
"Dress your own wounds? Where do you get wounds from?" Shi asked with a curious look on his face. For certain gardening couldn't be that dangerous... unless of course you grow certain biting plants like Venus Fly Traps... but even then could they actually wound you? Shi got lost in thought over whether or not such a thing could happen. Maybe Enju was just as clumsy as he was and took tumbles all the time?
Suddenly, Shi felt Enju's hand on his shoulder and snapped out of his reverie. Then he felt Enju's tongue on his ear and said in a surprised voice, "Did you just lick my ear?!"

Enju's lips pursed as he rubbed the side of his arm. Wounds, everyone had them, but at least how he got his wasn't from some crazy Haka. Enju didn't really care for being married off to a Haka. He was sure he would be eventually, but it was a business thing and he wasn't a business man.
"My wounds I get from fighting and training to fight."
He actually did grow a lot of carnivorous plants but not many. They were hard to raise and even harder to find. Enju's face tilted to the side, much like a puppy did when he was confused about something, and shrugged. He always licked his own wounds and it made it feel better. The idea became even better to him though since it meant licking somone else.
"Um. Yes?"

Shi nodded, "I've never really been trained to fight. I guess mother thought I'd die sooner than I would learn to defend myself. I've never had much of a problem of it though... nor a problem with defending others... don't know what I'd do in that situation, really..."
Shi mused to himself for a while, idly drifting around in the hot spring. Seeing how very quiet Enju had grown, he added "I'm sorry... I didn't mean it in an offensive way. It's just... erm... no one has ever licked me before even if I was bleeding to death." He smiled a little bit, "Maybe you have a magic tongue? Suddenly, I'm feeling much better, Enju."
He grinned and started swimming again, having actually regained a great deal of energy suddenly. Who knows? Maybe Enju's tongue was magic? Or maybe Shi's just a silly Gehaka. Shi also cocked his head to the side, mirroring Enju a bit. "Are you too pruney to continue swimming? Or is there something on your mind?"
He hoped he hadn't hurt Enju's feelings with the whole licking remark.

Enju listened to him quietly, ears dropped down by the sides of his face but he kept a grin on his face.
"Mm, yes, I've been trained to fight since I was a youngling."
He followed Shi around, smirking and cackling, very amused how his tounge had actually worked. One of his mothers Gehaka had actually told him to lick his wounds. It was strange at first but it worked. Something about the saliva...or maybe it was just a childhood thing, but it had worked on Shi. Enju wove his way around Shi in circles, lightly brushing against him.
"No no, I like to swim as long as I can. Relaxes my muscles a lot."
He swam over to the waterfall in the corner of the pond, sitting on a rock under it as the water pounded his back. It was a small waterfall but it still got the job done.

Hikaru wiped his nose on his hand, wincing as he did so. His nose was not only sore now, but his hand was covered in goo. He contemplated running back to the house again, but would that rish the Haka's offer? He decided, instead, to take a handkercheif out of his pocket and wiped his hand off as well as his nose. "Tea sounds like a wonderful offer, Aya."
Hikaru was surprised at the gentleness of the Haka, he knew that his mother made it out to seem that all Hakas were ill-tempered and arrogant, just like Akemi (name of his mother). Hikaru walked slightly behind Aya as they made their way to the inn. "Thank you for inviting me, I certainly appreciate being able to get out of the chill."
Hikaru stepped in following Aya, he had never been in the inn before, and therefore didn't know his way around.

Shizuka was in complete awe. Not anymore at the fact that Enju was a fighter or that he knew the medicinal properties of herbs, but suddenly he was enthralled with the sound of Enju's voice, his gentleness of speech, and his grace as he moved through the water. The bandage on Shi's ear became loose and he moved toward the side of the pool as Enju replied.
Tilting his head to the side, he started unwinding the bandage from around his ear. He wondered if taking the bandage off was a terrible mistake, but trusted his feelings that since the pain was gone and he wasn't bleeding to death that he wound must have closed up. He piled the bandages to be disposed of later and gingerly reached up to touch his ear. It was still a bit tender, but in no worse shape than could be expected.
As Shi turned back to tell Enju the good news, and his miracle cure, he saw the Gehaka under the waterfall on the far side of the spring. Shi felt somehow compelled to hurry over and join the Gehaka, but was at the moment completely taken over by the sight of the water spraying and pouring over Enju's naked body. It was quite a sight to see...
With a blush, Shi slowly swam over and took a place beside his friend under the waterfall. The water was so refreshing and so like a massage that Shi sighed aloud and closed his eyes, his back slouching and his wings stretching so that the most tender parts could be massaged. He liked this, he thought. And he decided that he'd have to return to the baths more often.

Enju blinked and looked up through narrowed eyes at Shizuka. He watched him unwind the bandage and smiled lightly, seeing that his ear was probably fine now. He brought a hand up to rub at his neck, a very intricate scar hidden under his raven hair. Something that had caused problems in the past and would spark questions sooner or later by those who saw it.
"Is it feeling better?"
He was eager to see if it was alright yet or not, leaning forward to see if everything was alright. His wings were partly spread but still closed. He sneered happily as Shizuka took a seat next to him. He leaned onto him, bumping him very gently in a playful manner. Enju was always trying to flirt with anyone and being completely comfortable nude, he wasn't one to get nervous or uneasy with someone. Enju thought Shizuka very attractive himself so he didn't mind being so close, even wanting to be a little flirty with him even though they were fairly new aquaintances.
He licked his lips, his midnight hair draped over in thick silky tendrils over his face. That scar on the nape of his neck was now clearly visible. The mark was actually becoming more visible as it ran down his back. It curled at the start of his neck, the scar thin and artistcally twirled here and there as it continued down his back, the rest blocked by his slightly folded wings.

Aya had been to the Magoi Spa and Inn a few times in the past. Sometimes with his brother Itsuki, other times with a handful of his business associates because of the lovely ambience and service that the shop provided at a reasonable cost.
After stating the purpose of his visit as well as what he needed to the innkeeper, the red-haired Haka next followed the assistant's lead into one of the private rooms located upstairs with both Hikaru and his Gehaka escort following closely behind. It was one of the benefits of being a regular patron of the shop. A privelege that was only extended to a handful as far as he knew.
Settling himself down at the table in the middle of the lavishly decorated room that they had been led to, Aya stretched out his right hand towards the remaining cushions in a customary gesture for the Gehakas to have a seat too.
"You're welcome Hikaru. Have you been here before though..?"

"Yes, actually. It feels almost as though it never happened, " Shizuka said with a genuine smile. He always figured that his smiles were charming, though he rarely saw himself in the mirror and was rarely allowed to retain any pride before losing it again.
He opened his eyes and continued to blush beside the flirtatious Gehaka. As he was nudged to the side, he nearly lost his balance, but recovered it quickly and avoided another embarrassing cut. Then, suddenly, Shi caught sight of the scar down Enju's back. His wings were just parted enough to see the pearlescent scar tissue winding this way and that down his spine. He wanted to reach out and touch it, a look of confusion and fear dawning on his face. Why hadn't he seen this before? Was it the water pouring over it that made it so much clearer.
"Enju...? What's this?" He asked, laying his fingers gently on the Gehaka's spine. His eyes rose and stared innocently into Enju's, questions lurking behind them. He recovered his hand and it curled up against his chest, giving him a look of complete helplessness. His hurt ear twitched, sympathy pain making it burn again.

Hikaru bowed and joined the Haka at the small table. "You must be very well known here to have such priviledges. No, I've never been here before. My mother doesn't let me go out alot, mostly I just tend the fruit stand for him..." Hikaru poured some tea for Aya, as was what he was taught was proper. He handed Aya a small cup and took one for himself, blowing on it to make sure it wasn't too hot.
He was beginning to feel a bit better and his sinuses began to unclog. It was warm and cozy. He settled down a bit and took a sip of his tea. "Do you come here alot?"

Enju grinned widely knowing he was alright. Enju enjoyed everyones smiles, each very unique to each person. Shizuka's was charmingly sweet, a smile that was welcoming and warm. Enju noticed he maybe had bumped him a bit hard and decided to just inch up side by side. The rocks under the waterfall were smooth and submerged a foot underwater, so they weren't sitting out of the water.
The rumbling of the water hitting the pool was soothing, his eyes drooping slightly. He didn't notice Shizuka's hand move to his back, where his scar curled into a rather pretty design. The pattern was intricate, a swirl at his neck then zig zagging softly down his spine into another large swirler in the middle of his back. The lighter colored tissue then erupted in thicker zig zags into his ribs. Overlapping the scar was an even redder deeper one that was shaped into red sharp dripping wings.
Enju's face sharpened considerably, eyes widening at his touch, his body giving a convulsive shudder. He bit his lip, hands gripping the stones under the water, his body visibly tensing before Shizuka removed his hand. His wings tightened up against his back, hiding the scar, as he closed his eyes tightly as he sneered as he spoke, looking away from Shi.
"Hn, just..something from my past. A gift from my father..."

Tilting his head to the side a little to show his appreciation towards Hikaru for his gesture, Aya took the cup that was offered to him and sipped the warm amber liquid slowly. He had always loved his tea hot since he believed that that was the instant when the tea possessed the richest of taste as well as aroma. Especially if it was from a freshly brewed pot.
Pools of violet crinkled slightly in undisguised amusement next at Hikaru's remark about him being very well known at the Magoi Spa and Inn. Aya chuckled softly, a light smile on his face as he shook his head gently a few times.
"You really do flatter me Hikaru. I'm not that well known around here. Just a regular customer since I like this place and enjoy sharing it with some of my friends as well as business associates alike. I only come here weekly at the most since work at the shop usually has me tied up quite a bit..."
Taking another sip out of his cup, Aya allowed the tea to slowly trickle down his throat this time round, enjoying the aroma of the tea which seemed to permeate all his senses. Maybe he really should try to come here more often whenever things at the shop began to let up a little. Drag Itsuki along with him since said male really needed a reward for all the hard work that he had put in the entire time.
"Does it get very busy at the fruit stand Hikaru..?"

Shi noticed the shudder shake Enju and wondered if he'd done something very wrong. The scars were terrible, but somewhat beautiful; though it was a terrible thought that someone would carve them into another living being against their will. The thought of it was just grisly.
"Your father?" Shi mused innocently. "Why would your father do this to you? It's... it's..."
Shi couldn't quite find the word and he didn't want to insult Enju or his father, lest his new friend abandon him. He lapsed into uncomfortable silence, fearing he had gone too far into Enju's personal life. The water ran down his back and over his wings, his long black hair plastered to his face and shoulders. He stared off, wondering whether it was now time for him to take his leave... perhaps it would be prudent for him to do so now that he had awakened a seemingly terrible memory. He rose and stood, not quite ready to go, but using the technique to see if Enju wanted him to leave.
