Cool, mine was The Little Prince, too (I speak English as a second language).
I'd love to read it in Arabic some day. smile And in French, when I learn it. smile
French literature is the best! wink

My first foreign book was the first Harry Potter book in French! rofl

My first foreign book was the fifth Harry Potter in English ! xd
After I read it, I realised I wasn't that bad at english and then I bought the other Harry Potters in english too and I re-read them. And then I started reading tons of other books in english.

But I could also say that my first foreign language book was my first french book (can't remember what -- I was about 7) since officially, my mother tongue is romanian.

Mine was a book about Niagara Falls in Japanese (that was only in August, though razz ). I haven't been learning Japanese for very long, and this book has a lot of kanji (no furigana, either), so I haven't gotten much..

My second is the "Mamotte Shugogetten!" manga, which I've been steadily working through 3nodding

'Andorra' By Max Frisch. It was a Suiss-German book. Well, technically a play, but it's fantastic. It's got all deep symbolistic meanings. My German coursework is about it : )

My first foreign book would have to be Pauvre Anne. We are currently on chapter 3 in French class. I've been interested in languages for a long time, but I just recently started to learn them and I must say, this guild looks like it's going to help me a lot.

Don't kill me if I spelt the name of that book wrong!*hides*

My first book in foreign language was The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon. The text was really easy to read. 3nodding
Now I've moved on to Terry Pratchett's and Amy Tan's books.
