Dakka glanced at Nuri and gave the other female a small nod. It sounded plausible to her. She wasn't sure she wanted to volunteer information about them to the young male however, so she left it for someone more senior answer his question if they should feel like it. Besides, she wasn't sure if this would become 'home' and for how long. She'd been born in the middle of moving from a place she'd never seen to here. Sticking around this desert place for a longer period of time, if that was the plan, felt odd.
She glanced at the water, wondering just how far from the waters edge that mean old monster could reach.--- She was not prepared for a jump scare, and Eerin's reaction was predictable - if you knew the hyena. When it came to adrenaline fuelled fight or flight reactions Eerin only ever bothered with the first kind. She snarled at the other and lunged forward, jaws snapping. It took a few heartbeats for it to sink in that the other hyena had answered the question she'd asked. Lucky guess, or did she know their language? " This game now?" she growled, stubborn using the Nergui language despite her limited vocabulary. Was getting here first some kind of contest? ((Not sure if she would be able to recognise the other hyena as Nergui or not))

 Kimya smiled a little at the reply of the other lioness and nodded. It would be quite lucky for them to stumble upon something, or someone, worth presenting to their superiors. On account of being a newly joined member, Kimya desperately wanted to find something that would give her more purpose in the pride, or at least some of the honor she had seen the winners of the battles receive when they had won victory for themselves. She was becoming lost in her thoughts when she heard an echo of the beginnings of a fight reach her ears. Her heart began to race and she turned to her companion. "I'm inclined to follow those sounds. Will you follow me?" She asked the other lioness, but turned to slink into the shadows after the noises of battle. She had been regarded as a Shuko and granted the position for her ability to skulk without being detected. This ability aided her here and soon she came up in two hyenas. She did not often interact with the hyena portion of the pride, but she thought she recognized the darker pelt of one of them. The other, she did not know, not even if they were apart of her own pride or not. Therefore, she did not attack either of them and instead chose to observe from her place in the shadows, claws out in case they came too near her hiding spot.

"No," Gren grunted in response, deciding to take the lead despite her awkwardness in social situations. "This be home now. We settle. You join or leave but no stay here."
Tabu nodded, casting a lingering look back at the water, "I--I'll join you, if I may. I have no where else to go."
Gren gave a low growl as she stared at him. To look at her would be to wonder if she was grateful for his help at all. She was, she just wasn't very good at showing it. "Then you join. Welcome to Nergui." And, with a snort, she eyed the water warily and moved away, not bothering to look back.
Tabu, with a shaky smile, slunk over to lie in the shadows, facing the water as if anticipating that the crocodile might surface again.

The hyena looked more startled than she should have at being attacked, staggering backwards just in time to avoid those dangerous teeth. For a moment she stood still, staring at the other hyena as if trying to size her up or understand, perhaps, the cause of her actions.
Then, she gave a loud, almost unhinged, laugh which ended in a choking sound until it died away.
"Reactions are good," she replied in the native tongue, "Just playing, yes. You found me. Well done. Welcome home."

- A new Warlord has been promoted! Congratulations to Zizima [owned by ~Masamune~]
- The hyenas are creating some higher ranks. Information on how to apply will be available shortly.
- All artifacts found in and around the temple are to be brought to the 'sacred chamber' which will be guarded day and night. Other than this room, lions and hyenas are free to roam where they like.
- Beware the crocodile in the water! For now, pride members will be encouraged to drink elsewhere. Some of the more daring might be willing to risk it, however.
- Meetings with Dawnwalkers are possible! During this time, Nergui aggression in most is hindered by their need to get to know their new homeland. Dawnwalkers who do not wish to join are likely to be chased off (unless they are defiant, in which case there will be bloodshed).
- Stand by for next chapter coming soon!

It appeared her companion was not interested in following her, so Kimya was left alone watching the hyenas. After a while, she realized that they were in no need of her help, moreover they seemed to be playing with one another! Taking care to slip off unannounced, Kimya retreated and took to prowling about the lands on her own. If someone needed her, they would approach her, surely? The thought, whether or whether not it was true, comforted her and she set off on her own, reminding herself to glance back every so often so to not lose the pride in this sandy terrain, which may begin to look the same the longer she explored it. She had only recently found herself a new pride; she would loathe to misplace them so soon. ((Just getting in a final post for Kimya! :heart ))
