Ree said nothing, tensing at the fact that Zaku had just walked in without preamble into what he said was an enemy base. He followed, mainly having not seen any other spirits at all...Gaia he might have followed even if he had. //he's not him. Do you still want to see someone like him die? ......him, Ashral, Niea... stop//

Riffling his feathers he focused on where they were as he followed Zaku, making note of the cameras and hoping Cordelia or even Tri would be able to clear the footage later. Hoping they weren't being watched already through remote camera or some's phone.

Silently he entered the room,hand already grasping the crystal necklace under his shirt as his feathers bristled in reaction to the enclosed space. //doors are open, we can phase is needed ...// they thought to himself as he took in the scene with a detached look.

Floating a few inches from the floor with telekinesis he moved around the scene, looking at each point without touching anything.

Looking up at Zaku, he watched him with a look of faint confusion then understanding as he looked for the camera in the room and destroyed it with a little telekinieses. "Softly, if normal people have a camera system they can install to receive warnings and remotely view what is happening, what do you think Haven would have? " he warned quietly and motioned to the camera, there were the outside cameras but he wasn't going to destroy those unless needed. "I don't know. Maybe she did, maybe she was forced to with a command as they watched. " he said quietly as the white winged cat split from him ((soul light lvl cool . It started to move toward Zaku but then made a sharp right and went to investigate the other rooms.

"The last time I truly spoke with her was when she was a child, during the time you had Kae" his voice had turned cold as he went back to investigating the room. "I don't even know if she had lasting effect from being with....Kage that would make her more prone to do so herself "he whispered out icily the hand holding the crystal tightened as he let his gaze fall on the bloody scalpel with sudden intensity.

"You said this is an offshoot of Haven...which facility?" There was a hint of urgency in his voice as he took out his phone and started to snap pictures from where he was standing then moving to the other side and doing the same.

The cat phased through the first two empty rooms and appeared in the first, tail twitching as it jumped on to the tabble and looked around. After a bit it jumped out of the way as even dark's voice echoed,not to sit on it. //I know...let me move. Keep talking to Zaku....I mean without making him hate you...you can do that right// there was silence in response as it sighed and looked around again from the chair.

Turning it stared at the monitor and reached out with a paw to pre-....need longer paws. Jumping to the counter it pressed the monitor, looking through the values given when the machine had been active. Tail twitching as it stared then looked away, giving the room one last good look it phased back the way it came, lightly brushing against Zaku's leg before phasing into the last room on the left.

He....hadn't prayed in quite a long time but he was doing so now, for Hexxis..for all of them. He even relaxed ever so slightly at the sound and hum of the laptop being turned on (electric sense:passive) but it did nothing for the pain. Once he was done he stared at Hexxis, who almost look like she was sleeping if you ignore the crusted blood near her eyes or the smudges of him trying to clean it. Grabbing the other jacket Zaku had left behind he placed it over her face this time and got up. Sorrow warring with worry and frustration as he regretted the decision to not follow.

Keeping a hold of himself he circled around Cordelia silently, keeping his distance but staring at her screen. He won't break down in front of the doll meta not unless he wanted to remember the time for the rest of his life. He didn't think her above not using it.

//Kae// he unblocked the link, trying since this would be the furthest he had ever tried to contact someone. Already assuming failure he started to call her cell.

".....If I wasn't so paranoid.." he muttered as he put the phone to his ear and moved to the limbs, using telekinesis to open and pull them out of their bindings or pulling it with them. He floated them all into a pile then added the scalpel, and broken collar before moving to the drawers and pulling out an old dust hazardous material bag and opening it.

"Hexxis did not leave a spirit. It means nothing though if Haven is involved. She might have ...she might have not. " he sighed quietly. "However, I have an idea when the owner of these limbs might reappear ...assuming it is the same person and even if not...." he shook his head. "I know a place that might give us an idea who the person who had been with Hexxis is or was...or at least what to look for" he muttered as he floated the bag up with its new contents as he waited for Kae to answer in either form.

Looking up at Zaku he tilted his head slightly "at the least to answer your question as to why if nothing else" he muttered softly, knowing he was putting to much emphases on the spirit when things happen every day without there being spirits taken. Except that is where his mentality was now...ever since he left that place.

The cat stared at the next empty room and sighed phasing down into the ground to check after later time and finding only dirt after the foundation. Flying back up it shook itself and solidified moving to the edge of the building and checking again, finding only dirt. It was a waste of time but after Ashral it was something he would rather waste his time on then accidently miss something. Finding nothing else it went back into the room and silently laid down by Zaku's shoe, staring at the slick of blood where Hexxis body had been. //was she one of ours?// //no...// //could she have been? //maybe...// //why aren't we distraught?// //Overall we knew her the least...and she caused the most ham////so why are we investigating when she's gone? Hoping for a Spirit?// //I don't know. Why are we?////......sister?// //we said she could call us that when she fought her programming//..and she did. //.....so family reasons// /Friend reasons too/...we should be seen more...it will help us ////I don't like it //

Tri moved up behind Cordelia silently, footsteps barely making a sound as he stopped behind her to view the video as she pressed play. Silver eyes widen slightly in dull surprised followed by a sudden narrowing. Hexxis was controlled...but how? They shouldn't have been able to...they shouldn't have been able to break her in the time it took them to fly here...no much less then that. Most importantly how did Zeph appear there before they did?!

"How did he get here before us.." he hissed softly glaring at the video as it cut out before Hexxis stabbed herself. Obviously his legs had been cut below the knee, that had been left back there. So Hexxis's was bait for Zeph? Fury broke through the grief as he turned to look at Hexxis the new back at the video with Zeph. She died because of him!

Ree watched him and looked to the cat who shook its head, moving to its feet then disappearing. Silently he moved to Zaku and lightly pushed him to head back out, moving behind him until they were out and the call connected.

"Hm, bad news that affects you and a question about what you saw. " he said quietly getting to the point. "The question first, was it the (right/left:whole arm) that you were in front of? " assuming that she answered that she was okay.

Tri narrowed his eyes and looked away from te the screen toward her. "Why don't you take a walk" he said quietly, likely the closest to kindness he could do at the moment, even considering who she was.

"Damn it " he said softly. "We found the remains of an arm and legs from a dark skinned person in a Haven facility....left arm left behind,lower legs, torso is missing" he took a breath and his voice seem to change to be more sympathetic. " After I left your company I found Hexxis...I tried to get her to join me. She went missing half way ...she was found dead in a Haven offshoot facility near the remains I mentioned a few hours later." he said quietly, keeping an eye on Zaku but being unable to give him more attention as he came close to the others.


Tri said nothing, just nodding faintly even at any other time he would have grasped on to this information. Right now he listened but it barely made any impact other than to ironically...wanting to protect her from seeing any more. "No... just set me up to the beginning screens and i'll look around for when they first arrived" he said tiredly, hoping to at least get a better picture of who did this to her and how Zeph arrived.

Ree's voice made him raise his head as he saw him on the phone with someone as Zaku moved toward Hexxis. He felt a dull sense of confusion as Ree acted much differently than he had normally done, expecting to find him angry but ..not like this. Who ever he was on the phone with had been with him....at ...least he hadn't been alone. "Zephyr ... it was Zephyr. Hexxis cut off his arm and I assume his legs before the video cut off" he said quietly, glancing toward the bag Ree was floating a close enough look already gave him an idea what it was but why? . "Why would they let her die....Norcrest and Haven were extremely persistent to get her back to fix her heart, enough to hint at Mara they were willing to trade me for her" he said quietly, knowing Zaku likely didn't know that and just even saying it out loud because it was just like Zaku..it made no sense. Shaking his head he looked toward the computer silently.

Ree paused then looked at Tri and frowned. "Zephyr seems to be the owner of the remains. " he added to Kae as he waited.

"I had assumed that,until you mentioned it was the other arm" he said quietly, his voice going cold in a pattern Kae should be familiar with by now. "He was also strapped down..." he added to clarify what he had missed saying. "Incidentally I spoke to him a few hours before. He was also searching for her after declaring himself her coward of a husband, but he didn't have the information I gave Tri. He shouldn't have found her before they arrived unless he was there when she was taken or if they were after him too"

"I can send you a picture I took and you might be able to directly test things if you can check a few things for me as well" he said quietly as he switched to the photo and sent Kae both pictures before putting the phone back near his ear. "Sent. " he said looking over to Zaku and nodded quietly. "I am...kind of glad to hear that. What does the facility New beginnings research primarily?" his voice switched again midway sudden as he somehow managed to sound both cold and sympathetic.


Tri took it silently with only a flicker of surprise that she would have it directly to him and resting his hands on the laptop feeling the faintly comforting hum. The surpise quickly faded to restrained grief again and he started listening to the exchange while he started going backwards from the selections on the screen. Fast forwarding or moving backwards until he was able to get to when the others first enter the offshoot. Knowing at least what he would find in one part and silently preparing for it as he listened to Ree handle the conversation on the phone and with Zaku but something was off, very off.

Ree closed his eyes for a moment his wings rustling softly "I think I have a better theory. One I am familiar with because I was involved. Zeph was likely brought in to take Hexxis soul and transfer it " he said coldly. "An ability I saw him use when some guy named Oblivion shoved Ashral's brother into him then stabbed him and Ashral with Hexxis's sword. " he said with a glance toward the sword. "Zeph's features returned at that point and he was arguing with the other, he took Ashral's soul and stuffed it into a ring. " he explained calmly, not only to her but everyone else there. "In exchange for taking Ashral's soul out of the ring I healed him a little. " he let out a sigh.

"Now supposedly the person he has been saying he loves dies near him, and his collar comes off...which ironically there was a broken collar nearby. Would he not try and pull her soul into himself or even into what ever Haven ask him to so he wouldn't lose her? Even above saving himself...of course -that- is a stretch but he is likely dying by this point so maybe he does both take her and escapes. Now that said ...if her soul is there is it in him...in someone or something else, in a new body or even an egg. Haven would have a new soldier that isn't dying, something Zaku said they would be against unless they were planning her murder or if it was accidental ....and since all her training wasn't kept directly in her brain but in her soul they wouldn't have to retrain her. " he shifted slightly on his feet as he started putting things together.

"Of course this is all conjuncture...that depends on both Zeph willingness...and the DNA on the collar. Still Hexxis neck where a collar should be was burned... and since Haven hired him they might know of his special abilities. " he said with a flicker of uneasiness that was replace but coldness again, feeling New Beginnings was like SIU but focused on a biological method than mechanical.

Tri snapped his head up, his eyes going wide at the mention of Zeph's marriage to Hexxis followed by a slew of information he had absolutely no idea how Ree had been able to get. He was slowly trying to piece things together, her soul? but she was...dead.

He blinked trying to understand as he lowered his head just in time to watch Zeph get brought in then Hexxis get tortured before a women was brought in. Pausing the video he took a picture of the women's face and pocketed the phone again. The light in his eyes dimmed completely as he ran his hand through his hair, not understanding anything any more, feeling there was a chance at something but at the same time it could just be Ree slowly going insane like Estrian. Rising anger at Zeph...his fault...always his fault...and if Ree was right and not crazy it was again Zeph's fault.

"Hexxis attacked Zephyr. " he said very quietly, his hand running through his hair in an attempt to keep calm. " Somehow Zephyr, who we left in Belosh, reached this location soon after Hexxis. He was unconscious when he came in and was strapped down, once he woke up his face was cut while a women with red hair questioned him" he said slowly. " Hexxis was being tortured before then, eventually she was put in the same room as him and started trying to tear him apart with knives in the room before summoning her sword . She attempted to cut his legs and the video went out" he said very quietly.


Ree turned his gaze to Tri and frowned faintly, tilting his head "Convenient, can you check if there are other videos with where it is hinting that the video might drop " he asked quietly.

Tri said nothing and started looking around for a pattern, catching on what Ree was looking for. If there was any hint that this was actually a mechanical failure over days or it just conveniently went off right then.

Ree held the phone and frowned. "I don't know him well enough to comment, going off the fact he was still searching for her and was touting that ...other title. " he muttered shifting his weight to his right foot." I saw him on death's door putting Ashral's soul in a ring then swallowing it just to irritate the other, so he at least has will power to do it even when nearly dead " he said quietly listening to Kae then shaking his head. "No, to many places if that was the case, even I am surmising that her soul was even moved considering the elements and factors." There was a pause. "Can I put you on speaker phone? Tri, Zaku, and Cordelia are here" he said glancing up at each one then checking the area, the sky and the ground for any other listeners before focusing on Zaku.

"What position was she found in?" He frowned, looking between them.

"On her side, sword pierce through a lung, eyes halfway open and surrounded by blood..." he frowned very faintly as he actually focused on his own description. "Pierced from the front...she wouldn't have had the strength to pierce her own rib cage like that from that angle...and her hands weren't cut"

"Rib cage with the strength of steel. Red hair women ..if it was a man and if her heart was missing it would fit in with another pattern" he shook his head as Tri suddenly gave him a sharp look. "It is why I want to send her body and everything else to SIU for finger printing and passing through their systems. It would also explain the surprise look ...if someone else stabbed her but it wasn't someone she expected to be able to kill her" he shook his head. "Someone with super strength at least " he looked thoughtful. "Before and after the footage in that room died what was the footage of the other cameras? Was someone waiting outside? " he asked looking back to Zaku again.

"As for why she left...she wasn't needed any more, her heart was flawe. As well a to get everyone, who has keep them so long away from her, off the trail. A ...horrible distraction or they were in to much of a hurry to clean up or just didn't care " he muttered sympathetically before finally looking at Cordelia and nodding.

"Very possible..there was enough blood in that room to account for two bodies and he would have been draining fast. The question is if he did the transfer before he died or if the person who stabbed Hexxis somehow saved him as well. The only thing that stays constant is the collar on the ground, if it was just information or his body they didn't need to take it off." He said shifting his wings slightly. " If they wanted him to use his powers..without using it to escape and forcing him to choose with what little life force he had left..that might be one way to do it" he looked over to Hexxis with a faint frown then blinked and looked from her to Zaku. ".....you're both humming in the same frequency. Why?" He said looking alarmed then to Tri. "Bugged?"

Tri blinked and looked away from the laptop toward Hexxis then Zaku and blinked as well...he had assumed it was Zaku really annoying cellphone but there was a faint hint of the same "sound" coming from Hexxis. "...."he said nothing but looked at Zaku tiredly and waited for an explanation instead of jumping to conclusions for once.

"It's possible she did find a reason but we have no way to prove that" he said quietly then blinked."Isn't love reckless too? And uh...Romeo and Juliet may have come up when we last talked.. " he frowned a little then looked at the phone and moved it to speakerphone.

"Yes. The only thing I am basing my idea on is that Zeph was there without a collar but at what point, before she died or after?" He thought out loud calmly. " A lung hit would force her to die slowly. It wouldn't matter if she turned into a malice or a mane because he is taking her soul before it leaves and stuffing it into something else. " he shook his head some more. "Sorry" he muttered and focused on Zaku when he mentioned a wizard? Then looked at Tri who looked a little surprised but not alarmed.

"The video shows that the women and two of Criel's swat members attempting to open the door, hitting the wall then leaving. " he muttered quietly. "Let me fast forward. The door was open when we came "

As Ree tilted his head "So they might have cut off the feed to that room..played like they gave up and left while someone teleported in?" He shook his head. "I don't know. Can you back up those files?" He looked to Cordelia.

"So things we know. Hexxis is dead, Zeph who has an ability to transfer souls was there and missing, the most important point was cut off. " he looked toward Zaku and Tri. "She might be completely dead....actually she is. The only reason I am pushing is to make sure her soul isn't trapped like Ashral's was. She likely had nothing to hold her here..which if the feeling I had. " he said truthfully. "The question is if you will allow Mara to do a better investigation and go on from there. Or even try to find Zephyr...the only clue I had was that he was staying with someone named Mise....assuming Zeph escaped. Either way ...." he looked at Cord and Tri. "We need to hack into Haven....not only for this but a few other reasons as well. If it is still possible. "
