-3 hours later-
Ashral was tired but too freaked out by what had happened a few hours ago to try to take any form of nap. While exhausting, the events of the night still had her on edge. As they arrived in the port, she kept a firm grasp around him, normally amazed by the brightly lit bustling city, but her mind was preoccupied. Still looking back every so often, she was beginning to relax with each passing minute.

Ree focused on just flying, thankful for the night sight and the constant breeze heading with him in the same direction up to a point. As they reach the city he was exhausted with everything that happened but was slowly less on edge as he was after finding out Kylar..Kylar out of all people at all times had been trying to tail them.
Glancing around a part of him sighed at the fact he couldn't take a better look around as he grabbed one of the hotels close to downtown. Just by the look of things, everything looked pricey but staying safe if at least for one night would be worth it. Diving he landed on one of the street, some trick or treaters passing by laughing as he turned to stare at them then back to Ashral ,having a very hard time letting go with muscle locked in that position for three hours. "Can you get us a room?" he muttered, pulling down his own pack to give her the extra from his own. At least it was the one time of the year where odd dress wouldn't stand out as much, lucky them.

Kylar was still a ways behind the pair as they reached the next city he couldn't help but grin. They were pausing, whether a short rest or if they planned to stay was unknown to him at this point. What he did know is that even if they moved on once more he could use this time to close the distance and prepare a little surprise for them. Rushing forward, Kylar headed towards Port Perom a little less than an hour til his arrival. This chase would soon be at an end and if things went well he would be leaving with a new toy.

Ashral was finally set down, taking a moment to get her barrings again on standing before taking the other pack and nodding.
She went inside the hotel and secured a room only after some odd looks from the staff that had, at first, assumed she was a kid. None the less, it was done and she exited to where Ree was. "Here's the key. Room 587." she told him quietly before handing him the key and pointing in the direction the room was.

Ree nodded and took the second pass key, one hand grasping the necklace until his shirt in comfort as he move forward. Lifting his head he relaxed his wings and moved with a confident step to the room before using his pass to open it for them before going in. Once inside he started listening as he looked around, focusing on the immediate room than those of further away, then just anyone that looked like they were watching their door.
".... Sorry. " he sighed, sorry for just basically the whole night as he pocketed the passkey, took off the pack and ran his hand through his hair before slumping into a chair exhausted.

- An Hour Later -
Kylar stood on a rooftop across from the room Ashral and Ree were residing in. They were on the fifth floor, the curtain blocking sight inside of the room, luckily Kylar didn't need a line of sight to see him. Looking in on Ree, the prey he had marked earlier in the night he slowly raised the rifle taking aim. He hesitated removing the magazine from the rifle double checking his tranquilizers. After he was happy he replaced the magazine and take another look into the room at the archangel.

Once they made it inside the room, there was a long-winded sigh of relief that escaped her lips. She moved to set the packs down on the bed and debated laying down but she knew sleep wouldn't come at this hour no matter how tired she was. She turned on the television in the room for background noise, a movie about three witches in search of children to restore there youth after a thousand year slumber. Her lips curled in an odd curiosity but shook her head all the same as she walked over to Ree and sat down on the floor to rest her head in his lap and sighed. Running and hiding was only taking a toll on the both of them and she knew that, but there was no other choice with all that had happened. From her position, she watched the movie with only half of her attention, her thoughts elsewhere.

There was a flicker of relief when Ashral went to turn on the TC instead of talk. He was tired and embarrass and it was just a large mess that he didn't want ot think about it...must less his reaction to hylar. Not yet.. not now. Turning his attention to the movie he slowly leaned to the side of the chair as he fell asleep after a few minutes, barely noticing Ashral resting against him .

The sound of gunfire rang out through the night as Kylar pulled the trigger, not once but twice. Ree was in his sights, the malice resting against him. Taking no chances he wanted to make sure Ree would be out for the night. The first bullet shattered the glass that separated them, while the second moved towards it's mark. Kylar watched for a moment from the rooftop trying to judge the reaction in the room. Hopefully Ree wouldn't be able to react, he had grown in power and fighting him could be an issue.
Kylar ducked down to remain hidden while trying to keep an eye on the pair, Ashral was his target after all. He watched and prayed that the stupid archangel would just sleep and stop messing up his plans.

Ashral was zoning out watching the show for now, eyes almost dead looking as she stared off practically without blinking. It wasn't until something broke the glass that she even jolted up, wide eyed, shoving herself to an immediate stand in defense, summoning her sword to her left hand before grimacing and dropping it. It wasn't until she reflexively whipped around to the window and felt the pain in her chest that she stumbled forward, her bad leg buckling and she fell to her hands and knees. "...r-ree... run.." she forced out, pulling the dart from her chest and throwing it aside. She was trying to get up, anger deep within as she was determined to kill whoever threatened Ree, but her vision was darkening fast, vertigo setting in before she finally blacked out, falling to the floor unconscious.

Ree snapped awake and slammed forward in his chair as he felt something sharp bite into one of his wings. There was a moment of disorientation as he hunted for enemies only to spot Ashral collapse.
"Ashral!" he hissed moving to his feet and slamming up a telekinetic shield as he spotted a hint of red from the tranq. A ...tranq..sh**!
He stumbled slightly barely regaining his balance as he pushed himself to go to Ashral, watching her collapse to the ground with a curse. Enemies..where were the enemies?! Window.... outside, they were followed. //ollowed.....ololed... //

Kylar cursed under his breath as he saw the first dart disappear into the Archangels wings. Was it a hit, he couldn't tell. The second dart had struck the malice, his contingency to deal with Ree working full force on her smaller frame. It seemed the tranquilizer was potent, but with Ree still standing it was unlikely he was hit at least not directly. There was little to do at that point, but to watch him. It was likely he had already raised a telekinetic shield by now.
Kylar ducked down and tried to stay out of sight, the hunters mark allowing him to keep an eye on Ree while out of sight. Perhaps if he could catch him off guard or better yet if he tried to flee with the malice he was sure to create an opening with he unconscious and vulnerable.

Ree pulled out the dart and knelt by Ashral, seeing she was still breathing and that was all he could do as he scooped her up. Looking toward the sliding balcony door he unlocked it and stumbled out holding tight to the telekinetic shield that kept trying to slip through his mental fingers. Outside he flared his wings as if daring them to shoot as he looked around quickly.

Kylar watched Ree from behind the wall, his wings flared out as if daring him to take another shot. Damn, he must have missed him with that first shot then. There was no doubt about it, if he was being this brazen he was looking for a fight and his defenses would surely be up. Kylar wanted to fade from sight, become invisible and sneak away but that was no longer an option since Ree had already shown that he could see through such tricks.
Running out of ideas he grasped a key in his left hand before detaching if from his wrist. It wasn't pretty, but perhaps he could distract the meta and draw his attention elsewhere. The hand floated along the wall of the building out of sight dropping off of a ledge before floating several buildings away. It rose up away from Kylar, the key becoming a flat dark blade meant for assassination.
Kylar watched Ree, waiting for him to move or turn to go back inside, the hand floating in the distance ready to strike if given an opening or distract the Archangel if he began heading towards Kylars location.
