Success! She wiggled happily as she grabbed hold of the bit of alien technology, but stared at the awkwardly devoid-of-color tool. "Ahaha whoops~" She said, rather robotically and turned with it in her hand. The tool was here for a reason, clearly and she poked it a few times, to which it gave a whirring noise in return. Perking up, she thought she heard a voice back from the Medbay, but it was too far away to hear and she shrugged. It wasn't like the captain or her crewmates to trust her with a bit of technology, that wasn't what her use really was, but she wandered around with the tool pointed out in front of her.

While she could be described as simple, her antenna often led her to where she was supposed to go. It glowed slightly green as she wandered into the Engine Room. "Oh, hello!" She said to the people there. "Guess we need this to go yeah?" Casually she wandered to the engines and looked at them, and back at her item. "Maybe this!?" Exclaiming, she used the sonic multitool on the engines. "Fix?" She questioned, tilting her head and her antenna glowed again.

There wasn't an immediate response though and she wondered if she should just move on to another part of the ship. Like the medical device, it had to work on something, right?

Her ears twitched as she listened to the voice of the second-in-command. “No way! While your offer of assistance is appreciated, it is not necessary. Wounds such as these are a simple inconvenience for a Ctarl-Ctarl. For a Ctarl-Ctarl, broken limbs are comparable to a human’s bump on the head.” She was about to continue to rant on about how superior her race was when she coughed up an excessive amount of blood. She shut up and scrambled across the ground to the Medbay. She left a trail of blood and scratches in the floor.

While in the Medbay, she laughed at and mocked the technology inside. She had no idea how advanced the equipment on this ship was, but she would always find the Ctarl-Ctarl’s to be superior in her own mind. Regardless, she hastily crawled into a healing pod and floated in there. She was still wearing all of her ripped clothes as she folded her arms and waited. She felt her legs return to working order. She wasn’t satisfied with her blood situation. Lost blood was like wasted food. She frowned with her eyes closed as she waited to for her body to achieve a satisfying condition.

Bubbles escaped her mouth as she growled from impatience. She couldn’t take it any longer and burst out of the healing pod. She shook her head and tail to dry off. Synthetic healing fluids splashed everywhere in the surrounding area. She still couldn’t see out of one of her eyes. She shrugged as she boasted, “Well, one Ctarl-Ctarl eye is better a hundred human eyes.” She ripped some materials from her outfit to make an eye patch.

Her stomach roared at her. Her ears went down as she whined, “What kind of ship doesn’t have food in the Medbay? Oh well, I’ll go see what they’re serving at the dining area next.”

Species// Human with tiny AI of weapon~

Sin waited October's pause out, waiting to see the solution to the inner workings of his brain. He was getting used to the strange hunter's tactics, though it was highly debatable whether that was good or bad. He preferred to think of it as a good thing. The way would have been uneventful, had there not been a kind alien bystander's interference. Sin fell down with a large groan, whereas a small squeal was heard from his AI at the sudden and unexpected fall.

For a man of Sin's stature, that was a lot of weight onto a cold, hard ground. "Ugh.." Sin pulled himself up, and once he was on his feet- then reached for October's collar to drag him to a upright position. The cat was not forgotten, placed next to October. After all, wasn't it just disheartening to hear the cries of a kitten? Even if it was an AI.. "I thought I would try to help out with the recovery of the weapon system.." The answer was interjected with a slight wince of pain, looking around to see a fellow crew member he had missed earlier.

He raised an eyebrow at the surly remark that came from lizard-like alien, Aksaja. There was clearly a species divide here, and a reluctance to accept their presence. But since Sin wasn't one to go looking for trouble -- especially on an enemy ship where their resources were better devoted elsewhere -- he gave the alien an apologetic wave. "Yes, yes. Understood."

He crouched down near an open panel, investigating the wiring.

Why had they signed up for this again? Oh right. Because apparently, this was the right thing to do. It wasn't like they had a choice in a way, a sense of choice being free. But- they had. As much as Lure was loath to admit it, the choices had been there, and it was only their stubborn nature that had kept them from making any other decision. Bitterness at the core of it all was still bitterness. They had no loyalties to the side that had held their home in an iron grip for years so why aid them with compliance? The world Lure had lived on was like many in that galaxy- fine until those in charge decided to make it not fine. Comply or run off to help those opposed. The choice was a spite fueled one. and thus far Lure had no regrets. Even if yes okay they did but they were superficial and hardly real regrets. Like seriously, Lure might have said they missed their old bed but back 'home' bed had been an old cot. The life of a hunter for a stupid exotic pet market wasn't easy work and it paid infrequently so money and luxury goods were off and on again. At least here there were 3 square meals a day and a dozen or so ways to pass the time that wasn't just card games alone.

A grumbling breath and the human looked to the aliens and others around them. Some were worse than others. Lure had been a lucky one. Not even a blaster scratch, just a bruise from running into a wall while scrambling for cover. Nothing a rest wouldn't heal. Others were not so lucky. Blaster hits took longer. And fires had- well. Lure didn't want to think on the smell of burning flesh. It was hard to say how bad everyone's injuries were until the captain would call out the final death results, but so far, Lure estimated they had done well. Not as many bodies seemed to litter the grounds as far as they'd seen. Problem now would just be-

A call to aid in the weapons systems and Lure clenched their teeth. Living alone or relatively alone had given them some skills on making those basic repairs but for the most part it was always a hit or miss. Tech was finicky and with so many different aliens on deck, it was a gamble with who's tech you were currently playing around with. At the very least, Lure had the small advantage of being human, aka a race that basically ******** around until they got it right. Sure alien buddy, you might have a warp speed generator a decent ten thousand some off years before humanity but you know who got that s**t and made it faster? Yeah, it was those damn weird two legged hairless monkeys. So put a cap on it noodles for arms and let the humans do what they did best- d**k around until they got it right.

Arriving at the weapons deck, Lure winced at the sight before them. It was a hot mess and they were pretty sure that if they just took it slow and easy they could figure out what was the problem. However this was- well.
Take out one ship you never knew who would follow.

"Yo." They gave a two finger wave to the others at the weapons deck, sliding in to offer what support they could.

Location// Dining Area

In what seemed like the blink of an eye, Bing-Bing arrived at the Dining Area and sniffed the air. Her mouth watered as as he looked at the food that was already available. She dove in and devoured as much as she could, which was a lot. She made a nervous laugh as she realized that she had consumed an absurd amount of food during an emergency situation.

She attempted to make up for her gluttony as she spoke to the second-in-command. “Hello again! I got just a tiny bit carried away. But a full-bellied Ctarl-Ctarl is nothing to scoff at! What do you say I whip up a nice Gejidabo stew? That should perk everyone who eats it up and increase their strength!” She smiled and started searching for ingredients before she even heard an answer. The stew she spoke of was known among humans for being repulsive and foul-smelling.

Well. These humans were definitely strange. Apparently one would rather fall onto the floor and not move instead of working. And the other one wanted to have a conversation with the first. Aksaja decided to just... ignore them. Probably for the best, after all.

However, in the next moments, the more ... active ... of the two actually was useful, even if it wasn't by much. With a glance over toward Sin, Aksaja gave a small grunt of satisfaction. "We need to be able to defend ourselves," he muttered, continuing to work.

”Looks like whatever you fiddled with worked Sparky.” Semaj quipped, using Kyle’s arm as a bridge to skitter to the side of the computer panel in order to have a better look at the icons on the screen. ”Don't suppose that you know what these are supposed to do?”

”Not really. What do you make of it Semaj?”

”I could ask the Captain if you want.”

”Oh no no no… let's not bother her over something as trivial as this.”

”Time for some experimenting then?”

”See if you could find us an instructional manual to help us decipher this?”

”I'm on it.”

Semaj hopped off the computer panel to commence his search for an instruction manual of sorts while Kyle looked at each of the icons in turn before deciding to try pressing the icon with the little spaceship.

"Sooooo-" Lure began, eyes scanning the broken circuitry and wires. Two fingers dug into one exposed panel, yanking on a set of fried cables rather viciously, noting how they were frayed and could be done without harming the system until proper replacements were there- until then the faulty wiring risked harming the working components.
"That might help get things easier to fix."

Pain lanced through their arm. A simple overtake was what this was supposed to be board the ship, eliminate, take over, get supplies. Fend them off. The usual. Crimson was no fighter. They were medical staff. By all means they should not have been anywhere near the line of fire. Heck, Crimson knew better than wandering when they engaged with enemy combatants. Hostiles, especially those of the non organic variety didn't give a damn who you were. All they cared about was if you were on their side or not. If you were one of them or one of THEM. It was not a safe time, and the medical bay was not the safest sure, but it beat being in the open areas like a sitting duck. So why had Crimson been so foolish to wander from the safe white pristine confines of the medical bay? Because Crimson was an idiot was why.

Calls for a field medic over and over the radio lines had spurred them to action. Foolish action but action none the less. A grabbing of medical supplies and one pistol the good doctor was off, hoping to at least get there to save some lives, maybe alleviate the sufferings of their men. What Crimson had not anticipated was the fact that on the way they would be the one running into an ambush. Problematic to say the least.

Two blasts- One in the arm, (their good arm too Crimson notes with a hint of lacing irony) and one that grazed their leg. The leg hurt more as they attempted to roll away from the line of fire as troops quickly rounded the corner, fending off the ambush and driving the hostile forces and their drones back to their own ship where gun fire echoed down the halls along with haunting screams of the dead and dying- from both sides if the voices, all too familiar were anything to go by.

Crimson didn't want to think on those. On the fact they had been so stupid and perhaps caused fools to rush to their own deaths in defense of them. The ironies of irony. That the doctor who had went to aid the men had been injured themselves. One of the more experienced officers looked Crimson over quickly nodding to them in understanding. They would need to get back to the med bay and quickly at that. Lifted up over a shoulder, the good doctor let the supplies fall from their grasp as they were carried back to start as it were, shame and pain in their gut. Nurses who they had told they would be fine saw them and they all shared a knowing look. This was the risk taken. This was just a possible outcome from going out.

It was only as a nurse began to administer what they guessed was a painkiller that Crimson realized they had taken the enemy ship and the encounter had been likely a last stand- and now they were being treated with alien tech. Heavens around them this day was just getting better and better.
Blue fluid shoved into the wound and Crimson sat up with a shout, pain back in full force as the wound began to mend in rapid time. Maybe no bleeding out but damn it all, did it have to hurt so much? Some alien races had no concept of gentle healing did they? Or maybe they lacked a central nervous system like simian races. Either way it hurt a lot and Crimson was rgerttinh ever leaving their little safe space in the first place.

They were too much a bleeding heart.

Location// On their way to the medical bay wow dude

"Come on get the lead out of those feet and hop to it people!" The echo of gunfire ran in Elio's ears as he tried to ignore the pain in his hand. A shot had grazed his shoulder and back, and vaguely he was aware that blood was currently running down his back. But until they had secured the ship, they couldn't stop. Drones and hostiles remained and so long as they did, the ship wasn't safe. No one would be safe.

Lives were at stake, and Elio's duty was to protect them with his own. Hards gripped his own gun as he and others rushed forward, perhaps towards their own deaths or perhaps to something else- it was hard to say.

In the end it was towards more pain and more suffering. They had taken the enemy ship, but Elio was one of many, (one of far, far, too many his mind told him), that had sustained substantial injuries. His AI was also of no help. All static and useless clamoring to get his a** to a medic or just stop being a stubborn a** and tell his superior. There was no shame in asking for medical aid. In the end, before he passed out somewhere halfway towards the overtaken medical deck, he had called to a friend waving them over to ask for help walking, wondering why a pant leg felt mildly wet when he didn't recall any water.

Pain would come later. Until then, the passed out man was sent directly to the medbay for treatment. They had lost enough people- losing any more could spell disaster if they were not careful in how they all chose to go forward.

He didn't recall his arrival into the medical bay, but he sure as all hell remembered waking up. A jolt of what felt like ice needles in his skin sent him jumping upward before the red hot pain in his back sent him crashing back down to the cot with a howl. He was in serious pain and he was only half aware at the healing that was happening. Muffled words and shouts around him before he felt a jab into his chest. A long thick needle, he started to gasp for breath before he felt sweet sleep slowly creeping back into his bones. Rest is what it kept saying to him. Just lay back and let the good doctors and nurses do their work. One of the last things he saw before he passed yet again was the body of the woman he'd wanted to ask out being wheeled out of the medical bay. Her face peaceful if pale. He felt sadness then- nothing.

Sleep embraced him once more.

Again, he woke after some time had passed. This time, he noticed the com in his ear was no longer that crackling static, but a low hum of classical music. Tunes he loved to have playing when he'd read or work idle with a puzzle or some such thing. The AI gave the usual polite greeting before it bade him to lay still. Too late however- Elio had flexed his arm just to cause that flash of pain down his body. Mild is what his injuries were now, but overall he was still in pretty bad shape. It would be best if he took some times to rest. Elio scoffed, asked the open air if he could have some painkillers and leave. A nurse overheard him and gave a curt not yet. They didn't have any- not in this facility anyway.

It would be ten minutes before the meds they had found finalized the process and he was reluctantly cleared to go back out.
