"It's a spell that detects magic," Kellach answered, "Magic leaves traces behind, so if the kidnappers used magic at all, then this spell will pick up the traces."
He scanned his sharp eyes around the room, trying to see if there were any abnormalities. Everything seemed fine. Except...
Kellach strode over to the window and crouched down beside it. Small traces of a powder like substance were thinly scattered across the window sill. Could the assailents have used a magic dust to force the window open? Or fly up to the window?

Penny trotted over to where Kellach was and observed the windowsill. He sniffed at the weird dust, then suddenly backed away and let out a loud sneeze.
"Excuse me," he said, sniffing, "I think I'm allergic."

The king followed Penny over to the window sill and looked down at what they were staring at.
"What does it mean?" he wondered. "What is going on with the window sill?"

"Whoever kidnapped your son knew how to use magic," Kellach explained to the king, "They most likely came from this window. But I don't exactly know how."
He cast a small glance at Ruzo to see if he had anything to add.

A thought suddenly dawned on Ruzo as he looked around.
"Guys, I don't think this was just one person," he said. "I don't think one person could have kidnapped a prince and disappear without a lot of trace. It had to be a group."

"That makes sense," Kellach replied, "This must have been an elaborate job."
He looked out the window. "I wonder if the others have found anything yet."

Out in the gardens, Rainbowtoast hovered over the hedge maze-like place. If the prince was kidnapped here, it would definitely be easy to. She did a once over of the maze before turning to Dash and Rue.
"Find anything yet?" she asked them.

Rue squinted as he flew, trying to spot anything. Around the middle of the maze, he saw something.
"Oh! There's something!" he exclaimed. He landed and saw many sets of footprints in the dirt.
"They seem to be leading somewhere!" he called to the ponies. He lowered his nose and started following the footprints, trying to determine where they went.

Rainbow Dash flew over and landed next to Rue.
"Excellent!" she said. "Maybe they're the prince's!" Then she noticed something. "There are more footprints. And they seem to be coming out of nowhere." She looked closer. "They surrounded these footprints, then they all lead out of this garden." Rainbow Dash looked over at the others, thinking for a moment. "I think whoever did this must have came from above and attacked the prince when he wasn't looking."

"What do we do?" she asked, "How do we find them? I'm scared!"

"Calm down, Toast," Rue said, calmly, "It's just foot prints. They're not going to hurt us."
He turned to Rainbow Dash. "Maybe we should tell what we've found to the others?" he suggested.

Looking out the window, Kellach could see the gardens and the three there. The king hadn't mentioned how maze-like the gardens were.
"I think the others found something," he said to Ruzo and Penny, "It looks like they're trying to find this window."

Totally Dramatic Island Rainbowtoast stopped hopping up and down anxiously and looked at Rue.
"Yes! Yes! Let's do that!" she exclaimed, "I wonder if we can see the prince's room from here?" "Come on!" Rue called, flying off towards the castle, "We have to tell the others what we've found!"
