Goodness, hadn’t he already seen her practically naked? And a bunch of others as well? She understood being a bit shy, but if she didn’t have an issue with it, why should he? Damn right she was proud, she loved her body. Aah, well. Maybe someday he would learn to appreciate what others weren’t ashamed of. She rolled her eyes at him, “That is what I tried to do.”
She sighed at his back when he turned to leave. “Well, goodness, if I had known you were going to bolt…” She almost felt bad. She had of course expected him to leave soon after, she just hadn’t expected him to go quite so fast. She almost felt a little slighted, but she knew better. A playful little smile kept on her lips, exasperated as she might be, and she giggled after him. Were she a bit more comfortable with his possible reactions, she might have gone so far as to give him a kiss on the cheek. As it was, he seemed uncomfortable enough, and she would save her merciless teasing for another day.
She followed Brian out the door and leaned against the jamb, watching him unabashedly – not that he would know. “You have a good shower too, hon’. Get some rest.” After watching him retreat down the hall, she chuckled again and finally closed herself off in her room.
